    A very personal foodie experience. Peter greeted our party at the door along with his staff members. He came to our table several times throughout the evening and answered all of our questions. Presentation was gorgeous while the food was delicious and seasoned to perfection. The servers and service was outstanding. Their concern about how hot the food and plates was conveyed to all us. The final course was delivered and the desserts were magnificent along with the chefs speciality coffee was presented by Peter himself with his homemade vanilla infused brandy. The server completed our evening by asking about our transportation back to our resort and was kind enough to call for a taxi and informed us of its arrival. A very special dining experience which was well enjoyed by our party of 4 that we hope to return before our vacation is over.

    My husband and I came here for our anniversary last year and loved the experience so much that we came again this year. It is a family-run business and the care and passion they have for giving diners a first-rate experience is apparent the minute you walk through the door. The service is impeccable, the atmosphere warm and inviting, and the food is on another level of amazing. Claudia’s salad was fresh and flavorful. The foie gras was not what we are used to…it was delicate and tender slices of duck liver with toast rather than a spread… unbelievable flavor and texture. The hogfish and lamb were beautifully prepared and seasoned and the presentation was gorgeous. And the key lime pie is a little slice of limey Heaven. I love this place… it is a truly other level dining experience. See you again next year, Peter’s.

    AMAZING SUPERB!!! Peter's was outstanding and must visit if you can get out the hotel zone. The blue cheese salad was a delicious starter. The followed by the salmon (listed a favorite) was some of the best I've ever had. The mashed potatoes it was rested one had a hint of spice and better than any I've ever had. Short trip to get there, the staff was super and git greeted and checked on by Peter himself - 5 stars all the way!

    This was the best place we ate on our trip! Such a nice experience. The staff are warm and welcoming and the food is melt in your mouth delicious. A fine dining experience that lifted our spirits. Dessert was amazing as well don't pass it up! English friendly for travelers. Practiced covid safe procedures. Thank you Peter!

    The food here is absolutely delicious. And the service is impeccable. They meet you at the door when you come in and greet you on your way out. The chef knows what he is doing. The fresh salmon was perfectly cooked, the salad had such a great dressing, and the mousse was absolutely delightful. He even knows how to cook cod to actually give it flavor. I also love the atmosphere here and the presentation of these dishes. There are only great things to say about the place. The servers also speak Spanish and English, which I know of so far. Definitely recommend.

    My husband and I had dinner here last night. One of the best meals we have had in Cancun! I had the three chili pork, husband had grilled fish and we shared the key lime pie. Peter came out to each table to see how everything was going. We appreciated this. Small family owned so you need to make reservation. A must do!

    AMAZING (long review here, but they deserve the detail) My wife and I were searching Google Maps for somewhere new to eat, when I stumbled upon Peter's. Reading the reviews, and seeing the menu, I was certain we had a great choice on our hands (but I had no idea how much of an understatement that would be...) We arrived, and I noticed that parking was limited, and the restaurant wasn't large (we took an Uber, so parking wasn't an issue). I'd strongly recommend being dropped off, and perhaps even scheduling reservations, though admittedly, we just walked in, but it was lateish on a Saturday evening. The decor and ambiance was excellent--low, intimate lighting, including candles on the tables, and a great musical selection playing in the background. We were immediately greeted by the hosting/service team (they speak both English and Spanish, and have menus in both languages as well). Staff was warm, knowledgeable, very helpful, and very accommodating. Some of the best service we've experienced. Now, the reason why you're here: the food is EVERY bit as good as reviews would have you believe. We started with mushroom ravioli (one that is frequently raved about online for good reason), and the foie gras--TO. DIE. FOR! 🤤 My wife and I haven't been able to stop talking about the foie gras. They bring complimentary bread to your table too, and take my advice: dip it in the foie gras juices and/or the ravioli sauce. For our mains, we had smoked salmon (my wife), and the sautéed porcini chicken breast (me). Man, listen. Every bite was perfect. Let me just say, chicken breast is easy to make taste "good", but is also too easy to dry out, but every single bite of **this** chicken breast was moist, flavorful, and heavenly (served on perfectly cooked fettuccine noodles too). Lastly, we split a slice of key lime pie for dessert (you should know, all desserts are made in-house). I should've gotten another slice. SO good! The Chef, Peter (as in, the guy whose name is on the door), stepped out to meet us and get our feedback. I had to tell him how amazing it was, and his hilariously matter-of-fact response was "that's the idea". 🤣 Didn't come off as arrogant or stuck up, just knew what he was there to do, and prides himself on doing it exceptionally well. We were finally ready to leave (while contemplating if we could somehow beg for a bit more foie gras to go), and we headed for the door, where Peter stood waiting, bidding us goodnight with his (also hilarious) send-off of "see you next week". (He's correct by the way. We've already booked reservations to go back one more time before we head back home) Easily a Top 2 restaurant experience, and we've been to a couple Michelin Star restaurants before. We'll be dreaming of food from here for a long time.

    This is the by far the best place to eat in Cancun. Me and my friend ended up here by chance and we were in for a treat. We started with The soup with shell fish, fish and shrimp was beyond extra ordinary and duck liver which was great as well. For mains we had fish and mashed corn and chicken mushroom both great and very flavorful. For deseert we had key lime and choclate mouse and key lime pie was to die for. Peter worked ar Ritz Carlton, and left the job managing kitchen to cooking since he likes to cook. This is a must visit and is a bit on expensive side but the experience is well worth it

    Dinner at Peters was the highlight of our Cancun experience. The ribeye was the absolute best cut I’ve ever had. The service, atmosphere, everything was amazing! Thank you again!!!

    Wish I could give this a 4.5 because the food was phenomenal. We had the mushroom ravioli and the smoked salmon where both were perfectly cooked, but the sauces in both were what made me want to lick the plates clean. Unfortunately the drinks didn’t seem to match the food and that’s where it drop from a 5 star to a 4.5. Having a perfect delicious cocktail to match the food would have blown this restaurant out of the water. Ps the front door remains locked so you have to wait for a staff member to come let you in.

    Amazing fine dining experience. The atmosphere was very romantic. The food was incredible; the waiter was charming and funny. Smoked salmon was elite, I highly recommend the mushroom ravioli and the key lime pie if you can squeeze it in.

    Had this starred because of the great reviews and come here on our first night in Cancun. The food was delicious - I went for the hogfish and my partner went for the pork loin. The wine was lovely also and the staff were super friendly - Peter even came out to introduce himself. I would highly recommend if you're downtown! 👍🏽

    An exceptional experience here at Peters. My girlfriend and I had a full course meal. Cold and hot starters, main course and a desert. All the food went together so well! The chef was super nice and spoke to us to see if everything was tasty. The server was friendly and the bottle presentation was great. Would highly recommend stopping by for dinner.     Quality food, quality service! We ordered the salmon and the pork ribs - both were excellent. Before our main course arrived, we got these cheese breads that were decadent. Nice touch for the chef to come out and ask how your dinner was 👌

    Lovely restaurant right at the entrance of Downtown Cancun. Intimate location with impeccable service in both English and Spanish. The food was wonderful, and the owner came out to greet everyone. We had the salmon and the hogfish, as well as an excellent lemongrass soup. Highly recommend you stop by!

    Tried the salmon and pork lion, subbed the home made pasta to the pork lion paired fabulously, all delicious, Margaritas we’re on point. They have a dessert that is not on the menu… habanero honey brownie with vanilla ice cream. It was best dessert I had in A week at Cancun. Aside from the great food, what really blew my mind is they made us feel like family. Also, you get a fantastic value for the money here, trust me if you are in town it’s worth the trip over here, we were under 100 usd with two entrees, drinks and dessert.

    Peter's restaurant is one of the few places in Cancun I have gone to more than once. It's a small place with about eight tables inside and a few for open air dining. I remember the first time I went and this time the food was perfect. I came back to celebrate a birthday, I got the braised beef and the way the plate was put together and presented was obviously done by someone who knows what they're doing. I really like the fact that Peter will come to the table and make sure everything is good. You don't get that personal touch too often these days. He's a classy guy. So if you're in Cancun and want a great meal outside of the resort, you shouldn't pass this place up.

    This place was spot on from the moment we walked in the door to the moment we left in the taxi they personally called for us. Everyone on staff was welcoming, personable and friendly all night long. The chef, who also is the owner came to our table to see how the food was and if our expectations were met…. Certainly met above the standard. The seafood fettuccine was fresh , light and delicious. Oh he mushroom ravioli was a great starter and the ribeye cooked beautifully. The best lemon drop martini I’ve had in a while and the best service as well. We will definitely be back when we visit cancun again. I have nothing bad to say about this place.

    This was by far the best dinner I have had in Cancun. I had a salad for a starter, the hogfish was perfect with a small order of mashed potatoes. Then Key Lime pie for dessert. Highly recommended, you must make a reservation in advance...would suggest 3 weeks in advance. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

    This was such a great find! From the bread to the desserts, we enjoyed it all!! The portion size was more than we could eat in one sitting, but we were happy to have leftovers! It was that good! The owner even came out to say hello and ask us how the food was. We will definitely visit again when we return to Mexico!
