Such a good expierence, my friend and I did it together and got lucky being the only 2 to do it at 4:30pm om a Wednesday. It was $109 for the 30 min in water expierence w/ dolphin pull and $246 for the photos & video, so total was $233/person as we were able to share/split the video & photos. We met Jack a 24 year old alpha and Amus who's 6 and super playful. They provided life jackets, intro video and lockers/changing area if you need it. Super fun and I'd do it again, they seem happy and playful with really great interactions and listening skills. 10/10 - Insta @ SPICYAIVY

RIP OFF: I will NOT recommend this activity. Using a dolphin in captivity to make money is debatable. I am not going to dive into that. In my opinion, this must not happen anywhere in the world. There are many other activities to do. You cannot take phones or cameras inside which is the bad part. They charge like $99 per person for 30min splash and it goes up for 30 min ride etc,..Also, each printed photo is 45$ and digital copy is $39. The whole album with photos and video costs around $250. If you want to burst money, go for it. I took the ride package & got ripped off.

Absolutely tragic for the captive dolphins. They are kept in a TINY pool when they should be free in the ocean. Instead, they are used as a tourist trap! Please do not be fooled, In the wild, dolphins can travel up to 80 miles a day at speeds of almost 20 miles per hour. Life in a tank causes stress and neurotic behaviors, such as swimming in endless circles. this is beyond cruel and inhumane. Please stop supporting this.

We stayed at Krystal Grand Cancun, right across the Delphinus Punta Cancun location. As first-time visitors from Canada, we were excited for our son to experience riding on a dolphin. First, we were not aware that they are inside the property of Hyatt Ziva. Their website doesn’t mention anything about sharing the area with the hotel and when we visited their store front, it wasn’t obvious that they’re only renting the space from Hyatt. Before we bought the ticket, we asked the cashier (Elizabeth) if we can take pictures and film videos of our own. She said yes but the most important information she intentionally withheld from us is that they will only allow us to film from the bridge, which is awfully far from where my son and the dolphins are, making it impossible to capture any good pictures/videos. I specifically and repeatedly asked if we can have a good view and she said yes, which was not the case. After the orientation, we were instructed to watch from the bridge because we are not hotel guests and can’t be anywhere else. We were not allowed to stand behind the rail of the pool where the activity was, which is outright gibberish. It’s not like we’re swimming in the hotel pool or sitting on their loungers! We just wanted to stand behind the rail where my son was but the staff rudely shood us away and told us to stay on the bridge, at high noon at 37 degrees Celsius without any shade! After the activity, they sold us the photo and video package for $204 USD, which we felt compelled to buy because we had none of our own. The worst part of it all is that after we got home and accessed the photos and videos online, we realized that the video has very low resolution! The clip also included ALL the participants’ faces, which was purposely done to extend the duration of the video! I don’t need to see 4 strangers in the personal package that I paid for! The photos were also repetitive to inflate the number of shots! This business is money-hungry and conceals a lot of information to generate more income. They don’t disclose the small details and employs a bait-and-switch tactic! Had we been told that we can’t take good pictures, we would have gone somewhere else. In our entire Mexico trip, this is the only place we felt scammed!

The dolphins were awesome and very gentle. I took our 6 year old. She loved every second of it. She got scared to swim out and pet it alone, at one point. I went first, and then they let her join me. Great staff and wonderful memories. The photos are a little bit pricey, but they take excellent pictures.

DO NOT GO HERE! Pictures look incredible online, but the experience was an absolute joke! Complete trash! The whole thing is advertised as educating people, and caring about the safety and protection of the environment and they cared only about the money, not the dolphins!! And the Hyatt Hotel where the experience is located, is absolutely stunning....but do not be fooled!! The water in the dolphin tank was absolutely disgusting, it stank too, not clear, and what appeared to be feces floating around the pool! They put my children and I in a group that paid for additional dolphin 'experiences', and they were forced to watch as the other kids went riding on dolphin fins, etc. They were left wondering why they were being skipped! Just to collect my money, they put us in a group of people already participating in 'additional experiences' that we had no idea about whatsoever. When I begged them to let my son just ride the dolphins dorsal fin because he was sooooo excited to do so as all the others were going one after the next....they wanted to charge me 'activities a-la-carte'!!!! $27 dollars for a literally 5 sec ride! This experience should allllll be about smiles, NOT profit!! There are MANY other dolphin experiences in Cancun....DO NOT consider this one! Hasta luego!!

Great place friendly staff, they don’t allow you to take pictures (unless you have friend/family watching from balcony area Up high) . Then when you are done they give you no choice but to spend 250 US! Or one print for less but that’s not enough. I had to convince the manager to bring price down but ridiculous pricing . For them digital cost nothing so please make your prices more affordable. Not everyone has a lot of money … or tell people before they buy ticket so they are prepared for this!

Amazing experience of a lifetime. It's wonderful interacting with the dolphins. We did the fin ride, which was super fun. Just that the digital album is super expensive. Don't forget to bargain...

Great location, friendly staff, good food. Swimming with the Dolphins is worth the money! My kids will hold on to the memories for a long time. Family friendly.

The experience was very nice. The kids enjoyed it. The commutation though is poor. We purchased a private package experience for 4 but ended up with a complete stranger in our group and in all of our photos, including the main premium photo in which a dolphin jumps over us. In addition, a video was to have been captured but wasn’t of the experience swimming with the dolphins. It was a big disappointment. Lastly, the price tag is ridiculous. Photo packages are several hundred American dollars and honestly were not that great. I actually feel stupid for giving in to my children who really wanted their pictures and buying the photos. With the same amount of money, they could have another experience and I could take the pictures myself.

It was an amazing experience worth the time and price. We bought the RIDE option and we were lucky that nobody was there except for us (I, wife and our 3y old daughter) I think because 9am was early for other people. The team was very friendly and respectful. We ended up buying the $249 photo package which I think is reasonable

Staff were extremely friendly and nice. Everything went according to plan and was organized. Dolphins looked healthy. Experience itself was fun. Did the couples dream. Did not like the prices of the pictures. They are $200+ but you can haggle. Otherwise a great time!

The experience is really nice and the staff is friendly. However, I had trouble downloading my photos and when I requested help via email, I never received an answer and I had no chance to see any of the photos I paid for.

Swimming with the dolphins was good however the rip off was at the end where the cost of the pictures taken was more expensive than the actual entry ticket!! More than $150 for only digital copy. Any printed one would be more than $230!!! You’re not allowed to take your own pictures inside and at the end you leave the place with no actual memory/picture from this experience as those prices were simply not justifiable! Absolute scam and disappointment !!

In Cancun, me, wife and 2 daughters did Dolphin encounter, swim, and 2 of us did the underwater trek encounter in another pool with stingrays and fish. The whole experience was unbelievable. To ruin the experience, I was shocked when it would have cost me over $500 USD for all the pics. That's more than I paid for Excursion itself. Digital pics are no cost to them, they should make pics more affordable for families to purchase. If I did buy, it would have been a $1000 USD DAY for about 2 hrs.

I think the experience itself was amazing with the daulphins and the staff was nice and very knowledgeable but for me the memories are just as important as the experience itself so the fact that the pictures are almost 4x (208usd) the price of the actual experience ruined the whole thing for me. Eepecially having done alot of differents activities during our stay in Cancún with the pictures no more than 60usd. Too bad really.

Really excellent experience. Photos are a bit pricey compared to the experience with the dolphins, but they are good quality. They definitely know how to get good pictures!

Mixed bag. They’re trying so hard to upsell that it becomes annoying. We booked a trip for 4 via the “guy” at the beach and it ended up being 430 usd. instead of almost 700$ on their website. Still a lot of you ask me but people got to make a living. The experience with the animals was very interesting and sad. They were born into captivity they said so they don’t know better. But the basins were quite small. We were handed over from trainer to trainer. If you book the “supreme” experience then you’ll get the regular one just twice. And if you don’t pay up another at least 23$ per person they withhold the dorsal ride. All of the experiences take a few seconds only and if you keep your position too long, trainers like Alfredo start yelling at you to let the dolphin go. I didn’t like that at all. Kids had fun though. We also wanted to also get some pictures. But that plan quite quickly got changed. People need to make a living so they upsell this for a bit of a markup. But I dare you to ask for high quality digital photos. They will refuse with the explanation that it’ll take too long and the system isn’t setup for this. So they only have some lower resolution pix. Try to get one of those printed on something larger than 8x10. I call bs on all this. They ended up trying to charge us almost 700$ for a handful of pictures, which is a bit … how do I put this politely … rip off / scam-ish / outrageous. If it wasn’t for the kids I’d not recommend it. Although they didn’t even offer a redo of their foot push for a 8 year old. So all in all a mixed bag.
