If you visit Cancun and want an amazing resort this is your way to go! From the moment you arrived at the lobby of this resort, I felt it was something unique and amazing. The view, service, and again service is the best you will get for your money. The best thing about this hotel is they do have people who clean early morning seaweed from the beach, so you have a very clean beach for yourself. For me, that was the most important thing. Excellent location, many restaurants around this resort, and the service again just what any customer wishes when they go for vacation!

Cannot recommend this resort highly enough. Every single person working here is amazing. Friendly, helpful and happy. The facilities are spotless and gorgeous. The beach is mind blowing and cleaned every morning so it looks pristine. The food at the pool was delicious which was surprising! Loved it

Beautiful Resort! Nice heated pool which my kids enjoyed! I love the ground floor rooms that have open patio; Its not ocean view but you can still hear the waves and have a walkway right outside your sliding door! It’s beautiful…just a few steps out and you have a full view of the ocean, day or night, and can even take a quiet walk right up to the beach. Very recommended over higher floor rooms. Cons: Restaurant is overpriced for the quality of the food. Typical, unauthentic foods at excessive prices. Also, watch your room charges like a hawk, or do not have room charges at all. I had multiple transactions in my folio that I did not recognize. I was charged for a mysterious bagel 3 separate times! Accidentally shaking the fridge will set off sensors to charge you for mini bar purchases too. Thankfully I have a copy of all receipt every time I did room charges and they are able to resolve the issue immediately, but Its not worth your stress and headache. Also, some employees are not as friendly. I stayed in resorts all over Yucatan Peninsula and this is the first time that employee seemed to ignore you; maybe they were just having a bad day! Also they will completely ignore you until you put on your mask. It’s a bit like an uncomfortable silence…I’m sure it’s protocol, but at least give an explanation or idle chit chat until I have my mask on. That was strange. But overall, the stay is average. Its good for a couple of nights for the price you pay, but there are other all-inclusive resort that have better quality and service, and with the price you pay for food it more that equals out. The charm of the resort, nice rooms, and beautiful views are great, but there are better options for the price.

I love this hotel. The service is fantastic; everyone is so nice and helpful. Very relax atmosphere. Hotel is very clean and upscale. Restaurants magnificent although pricey. The resort is well taken care of every day. Shout out to Tania for the magnificent welcome and service. This Marriott is a do-again when I visit Cancun next time.

Nice, clean place to stay at. The restaurant was not the best and charged us double for an item that they made wrong. The best thing to do is to go out to eat.

We LOVED this resort! The pool, for us, was by far the highlight and the place where we spent the most time (and were not really “pool people” if you will.). We didn’t find the value in their club level package. There is a nice, automated, self-serve coffee/espresso machine and refrigerators of refreshments (water, soda, juice), and a full bar where one of the staff will make you any drink you’d like. The lounge is more like a cafeteria than a lounge, and the food served was from the on site restaurants which we weren’t impressed with; your mileage may vary. We would have been fine without that added access. The staff were super friendly and inviting. The room was great, view was spectacular. We can’t wait to return.

First time to Cancun and will definitely be back. Needed to rest and recharge and this was perfect. Pool on site. Beach within steps and multiple restaurants available where we never had to leave. And some of the best buffalo chicken wings I have ever had. I ate them twice a day. We had a slight problem with our room the first night and the staff was quick to respond and remedy with a new room. Cabana’s available for rest. Thatched beach covering available for free with the requirement to order food and beverages. I’ll be back!!!

So confused on the good reviews for this hotel. All the staff encountered are unfriendly. Breakfast buffet is $64 for 2 people. WHAT?! I have traveled all around the Caribbean and only stay at Marriott hotels. The only other Marriott hotel that charges that high of an amount is the Ritz Carlton in Turks and Caicos which is more understandable. Not at a Marriott with mediocre options. The service at the beach is not great, took an hour for the server to finally approach us. Had 2 drinks each and they are entirely watered down. Do NOT waste your time or money at this hotel. Will not return but hopefully after the renovation they up their game!!

Rooms are a little dated and small. If you’re above the lobby it’s super loud with music in the afternoon and evening. Pool area far too crowded. Everyone was crowded under the pergola where it was the only spot to get shade since it was too windy fur umbrellas (common occurrence in Cancun) For a resort of this size there should be more than one pool. Food was very over priced. Breakfast buffet was $575 pesos. The salad I ordered by the pool was a ridiculous price and was more of a side salad rather than a meal like it was supposed to be. Simple presentation. Tasted fresh.

I stayed here 2-nights. The pool, hot tub, beach access, and free towels were good. All the workers were pleasant and helpful. It is a good location if you plan to stay in the hotel zone, but not good if you want to explore the city. The ATM did not work and had to go elsewhere for pesos. They had free parking.

Absolutely great experience. The staff is courteous and attentive. Food is very good with lots of options and the atmosphere is lively. There games and activities for all family members, but there are also lots of couples too. Nestled on the hotel strip in Cancun - with direct ocean access, this hotel is centrally located to all Cancun activities. They even offer travel services to and from the airport. Had a great stay and I am certainly coming back. Love this Marriott!

Make sure to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a stay. They compare thousands of booking websites and usually will have prices much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This resort is the best rated in this area. I've been coming here for a very long time. If you stay for a few nights you for sure won't be let down. The hotel was quiet and the services was top notch. Not sure if it's because it was late summer when all the kids and parents were back to school and work. Room was clean, the bed was very comfortable and the view was great. I can only say for the room I stayed in. Staffs were extremely friendly and helpful in every way.

Excellent staff everywhere but the front desk. Front desk is rude. We did have a very nice woman check us out and sadly I forgot her name. The front desk needs to be trained on customer service. HANA restaurant was great. Super clean. I would definitely come back again.

We recently stayed at Marriott and had an amazingly pleasant experience ! First and foremost, the concierge service was exemplary ! The front desk staff were very accommodating and helped us with coordinating our Covid tests, Currency exchange, getting printouts and recommendations on transport and places to visit. They have a great mix of in-house restaurants offering diverse cuisines like Polynesian, Italian, Japanese, Thai, Sports bar(which we tried and loved) and Seaside shacks. Loved the evening music performance on both days during our stay. The beach is beautiful, very well maintained and we spent most of our time here. The exteriors and ambiance are aesthetically done and achieves the grandeur look. The rooms however could use some work in their look and feel, definitely a more modern touch would help. But, that’s nothing to take away from this amazing resort ♥️ Very family friendly and access to food and public transportation is a great plus ! Will definitely visit Marriott, Cancún many more times in the future !

Excellent restaurants with great food. I usually don't like hotel restaurants, but the food at the hotel restaurants were excellent. The only exception was the Thai food restaurant. The food was very salty. I complained about the ready made brunch waffles being too hard and the chefs made fresh custom waffles for me everyday since. I sent back the fried eggs that weren't cook right, instead of getting upset, the chefs redeemed themselves by getting it right. This showed the staffs were dedicated to learn what their guests like. They came out to say hi everyday and with new crafts for me to try. I guess they were using me as food critic. This is my go to hotel in Cancun from now on.

The staff is very welcoming. Everyone will go out of their way to assist you. I especially want to mention a few stars: Javier, Cabana Coordinator, made certain that I had sunbathing chairs ready each morning and he checked in with often throughout the day. He even made dinner reservations for me. Jahir works with Javier and was also very helpful. Albert, Chef supervisor, and Chefs Gabriel, Christian and Alonso kept me fed with delicious, fresh cuisine. David was a supervisor that made incredible efforts to accommodate my stay. I cannot forget Leonardo, Jose and Diego who are Bellmen with a great service ethic! Please come to meet these people…you will not be disappointed!

Not a very Christian Place, i found out the anglican church has services in there, YIKES, not sure if Jesus would have a heart attack or would be just terrified seeing the rampant discrimination and prejudice this place is filled with, or would it be the fact of foreigner stealing land to discriminate against locals, that has to be the cherry on top... regardless its a place and a company i will avoid for the rest of my life, since supporting this businesses is suporting modern day slavery, and that is not very Christian

If only there were 6 six stars. While our suite was being prepared, they put us in a hospitality room so we could relax, free of charge. Every need, want, and unnecessary request was granted with prompt service and a smile. The cabanas were unreal, and posh as could be JW Marriott is the true orignal.

My self and my family were very disappointed to see you were converting this hotel to an all inclusive. We have been coming here many times a year as a family since the early 2000's when my children were little. A little about what this hotel was before the conversion and renovation...It was the most beautiful, elegant hotel, a family hotel that I called home we always stayed in the Carribean suite, the Casa Magna, Marriott Cancun put the drab, dated, and closed in JW next door to shame..It was stunning with its beautiful flooring, fixtures, and huge lobby seating with comfy couches and chairs, and had great food the only place we would stay with the exception of 2006 it was closed from the hurricane that hit Cancun in October 2005, I'm looking at these updated pictures after the remodel did money and greed drive this change you took beautiful and elegant affordable hotel with options to purchase all inclusive or not, a fun safe comfortable atmosphere and turned it into a cheap disco look hotel, that is way over priced. I'm very sad our 3 families now have to find a new beautiful safe hotel in Cancun to stay in..

We only stayed one night on our way out of the Riviera Maya area. Honestly, Diego turned our short stay into a memory we won't forget. Diego guided us to the check in desk then proceeded to show us to our room, and the conversation was typical of most interactions while checking into a hotel. His sincerity and genuine kindness was what stood out to us. He saw us multiple times throughout that night and he would pick up the conversation where we left off before. He really made us feel good and wished us all the best in our life the last time we spoke with him. He deserves to be recognized, he is a special person. Thank you, Diego. We wish you the best!

The resort is very clean. The rooms are average but showing their age. Renovation starts on 3/13/23. Pool was awesome. The pool restaurant was the bomb, food and drinks were good but expensive. We were not fans of the restaurant, food was overpriced and not tasty. Most of the staff are friendly, a few that looked miserable and didn't acknowledge you. The ocean was beautiful but alot of seaweed. The hotel does clean the beach. The beach club was cool. They have swings, hammocks and beach sitting and a dj. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

We booked an ocean view room for 93 dollars more a night. Once we got our room it is a partial ocean view. We tried to tell management twice and they only offered to give us a suite at half the price instead of just comping it. Also we were told to wait until 2 pm for a room on the side without construction and they gave us a room where construction occurs from 6 am to 6 pm. I’ve never been treated like I made the mistake and I am in the wrong for asking what we paid for. Their lack of an attempt to fix the situation was extremely upsetting as this was my last trip of the year and I was hoping to enjoy it with no problems. Don’t come here if you don’t want to be disappointed.

This was our first stay in a Marriott Resort. Overall for a first time in a resort, I was a bit disappointed in the hotel. Basic things were lacking. There were minimal outlets except in the bathroom. One outlet was actually coming out of the wall. There were no USB ports. The room was clean as you would expect but the air quality was poor. It had a very distinct odor when we first walked in the room of damp basement (?mold/mildew). The smell did improve over the week with running the AC low temp. (I do wish we had requested a different room as I expected the smell to completely disappear.) The maid service did a good job of cleaning up each day and when I requested something, it was taken care of. The bed was comfortable. The restaurants had good food. It was not exceptional. It was very pricey (as expected). Be sure to bring your Sunscreen. It was $30 (US dollars) for a bottle that you would pay $8 in the states. (I had purposely not packed it due to airport travel and not checking a bag but paying for a checked bag would have been cheaper.). The hotel view is very nice. They provided a lot of chairs for the beach at no cost. The pool was the perfect temperature and there is a very large hot tub that was exceptionally clean. There is a swim up bar in the pool. The wait staff were very friendly and helpful. We used MITT travel for our transport to and from the airport and for the excursions. (If you plan on excursions in the summer months, you will need bug spray… we traveled in Feb/March and so we did not need it… again bring your own (natural or biodegradable) as it is expensive in the hotel. Bring an extra pair of “flip flops” as the sun may melt a cheap/old pair (and they are $50 in the hotel). It was a fantastic stay overall with only a few mishaps as above. The hotel is to undergo a thorough remodel in the next few weeks and I am hoping they are able to fix a few of the problems I mentioned.

This hotel is not new, but it’s well maintained and clean. The staff were very professional. Though it’s Cancun, not a single service personnel hinted at wanting or needing to be tipped. Contrary to other posts, Bonvoy members do not receive free breakfast. They do offer a fantastic breakfast spread but it does cost $25pp. Overall the hotel is very pricey. If your room is $250, the various fees add up to another $100 on top. Lunch entrees avg $15 a plate, and dinner plates avg around $35. If you stay on site all day, all-inclusive might be a good option.

There is a certain level of service expected when staying at top tier hotels. Unfortunately, we didn't find it here, at least not at the front desk. The lady that checked us in was quiet rude and didn't seem to have time to answer our questions. Check out was also a bit unpleasant as there were charges for the mini bar which we never used. We were also denied a late check out (of only one hour) despite platinum elite status. The concierge was at least friendly, but really didn't seem to have much information regarding activities or events. The resort still gets the stars as the rest of the staff were exceptional and the facilities are very nice.

Only one word can describe the hotel and our stay: AMAZING! Service, quality, restaurants on the premises. Would recommend this hotel to everyone but specially to couples.. Staying here will make you're holiday into on of the most romantic holidays you can have. Watching the sunset from your room or one a 1 min walk to the beach connected to the hotel The best romantic dinners at the restaurants Beautiful rooms 10 out of 10 if you ask us!

I enjoyed the stay very much! We had a room right on the ocean. Since I have status, I was able to use the spa facilities for free. I didn't, though, because it was more fun to walk on the beach and swim in the pool and go into the hot tub! We had a lovely breakfast. I only had the continental breakfast, but it included a cheese omelet, oatmeal, toast, orange juice and a really nice plate of fresh fruit.

Fantastic hotel, beautiful cozy rooms. The staff has to be their best asset. Such kind, genial people who genuinely care for their guests. My wallet was stolen on a bus with all my money and credit cards, and one lady at the front desk gave me some money to get me through my remaining days there. They also sent the extra step to ensure that our stay remained enjoyable despite our setback. My only wish is that they would offer an all-inclusive package. Otherwise, well done!

The hotel was absolutely beautiful. We ate dinner there and ordered from the bar in the lobby and everything was delicious. The burger was phenomenal. I ordered my patty medium well and it was so juicy and had the perfect balance of saltiness and meat flavor. They also had a pasta with tender short ribs I think it was and it was great as well! The drinks at the bars there are amazing. From espresso martinis and margaritas to tequila shots and mixed drinks, every thing was perfect. The room we stayed in was a basic two queen room with partial ocean view. They also had a baby crib available for us. The breakfast buffet they have in the lobby restaurant is so delicious and the cooks are so sweet. Great hotel, even better staff.

We cannot wait to go back to this resort. We arrived a few hours before checkin and although a room was not ready at the time, the staff made sure to get us a room ready as soon as possible and they kept updating us on the status. They also upgraded us to ocean view with a huge balcony. I literally fell asleep on the balcony listening to the waves. Tania and Erick were the best! The resort is absolutely beautiful! As soon as you walk in, you see the breathtaking view of the pool overlooking the beautiful ocean. The pool is heated and was awesome, the restaurants were good, and everyone everywhere on the resort was so courteous. We didn’t want to leave!

Excellent experience during our stay, Staff is super friendly from check in to room service and concierge. They know how to take good care of guest. Room service is great, everything is delivered in almost a few minutes. Multiple dining restaurant serving different cuisines available to choose from. We booked a special dinner during our stay and the experience was amazing and memorable for us. We told them that we are vegetarian and chef Juan Pedro cooked delicious dish for us. He is really creative in creating tasty vegetarian meals. Our server Samuel and his supervisor, also took great care of us and made our dinner memorable. Overall a great experience with clean and well maintained rooms.

We loved this place! Wow what a beautiful, well maintained hotel! Very courteous all around. We got our rooms early that day!! Which was such a wonderful treat! Eduardo checked us in and since it was my birthday, I guess he made an exception, but wow! We had an ocean front with a full-size balcony with chairs and a table! Like so beautiful to sit and just listen to the waves crash! 😍🥰 The room was very spacious to what I have been in. We decided to have the double queen instead of “upgrading” to king size it was nice to have the extra bed. But wow nice size bathroom, closet and just overall Wowed by the experience in the hotel! Prices for food was a bit expensive or at least compared to the states when you eat out! The pool was crystal clear and warm. The jacuzzi was also amazing and on the top of the pool. The service all around was amazing! We even sat on the beach and got our drinks and appetizers on the beach! 🥰🥰 wonderful service. The server for the beach restaurant was wonderful- totally forgot his name- but very nice and wonderful service! 💖 the Hana restaurant was a top notch! They have live shows like 4 or 5 of them and really nice! They also sang for my birthday 🎂 my introvert self was a bit overwhelmed with the attention but felt so nice! Love the dinner- again a price relative to a fancy restaurant in the states. This place is also very family friendly! And they have tons of activity for kids and family to enjoy together! They also have a kiddie pool! Which was super nice to see! They also have showers to watch of the sand when you come back from the beach! And they do baby turtle release and invite guess to do it!! It was beautiful 😍. Loved it 🥰 I do want to return and bring the kids!

Evey detail at the Marriott was great. We had an ocean view with a balcony. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Shout out to Emanuel, housekeeping staff, for adding small details to help my kids feel welcomed and making our stay that much more enjoyable. Great job Marriott. There was an issue with some sort of sea plant on the beach front, but I believe that is common for the area. Nevertheless, it was a lovely beach. It was a very pleasant stay.

we stayed at this resort recently for 2 nights on a week long vacation in the area. Overall they had good amenities, easy parking, nice restaurants onsite. However, we found the pool towel service near the pool was lacking. One of the employees (Eladio) was rude and did not provide pool towels after 7pm. The other employees were kind and made up for this service. the beach was not usable because of the large rocks close to the hotel, but we walked there for some time.
