It's a nice, clean and FRIENDLY hotel. I want to make sure you comprehend, THE STAFF IS GREAT! SUPER kind and helpful at all times. Great views and clean beaches! Tons to do, plenty to get out and see. Here is what held it back from 4-5 stars. 1) They close the pools at 8pm. Yes even the little pool at the swim up pool rooms. 2) Drinks are NOT strong at all. Definitely under pouring. 3) Food was seriously lacking. Just run of the meal foods, seemed more like the food on a cruise. Just basic 4) Super stingy with items included in an ALL INCLUSIVE stay. IE- They put 1 shot of tequila and 1 shot vodka in the rooms and that's how they restock it. 5) The lighthouse is not open and "off limits" 6) The dolphins need a bigger/ cleaner tank if going to be held captive as slaves

All inclusive resort, which has pretty much everything you can ask. It functions like a machine though, with less sincerity. The sea is wonderful, the pool is nice. Multiple restaurants, multiple cafes on site. The service is better if you constantly tip the staff. From the second you check-in you are tried being sold something. The resort creates the feel, the more you tip, the more you spend on extras, the better service you get, the better tables you get at the restaurants- although it is first comes, first serves - even at the beach you may end up having a gazebo view for the entire day, if you choose not to hire a gazebo. However, it is still a good experience and you kind of get your money. There are dolphins a on site to swim with as well.

At Hyatt Ziva Cancun, everything was top-notch. The staff went all out to make our stay super special. They cleaned our room real good every day and stocked up the mini-bar just like we asked. The beach view was killer! Chilling there, watching the waves, with staff always checking in on us for drinks, was just perfect. The restaurants were a hit. Seriously, the Italian joint and the steak place were better than your average spots. Oh, and that candy store? It's a must-visit. We had a blast with the hotel activities, especially the Ziva game led by Tanya. She’s full of energy and made sure we were never bored. But the best part? Chef Concierge Christina made my husband’s birthday unforgettable. She set up a sweet birthday surprise with dessert, a card, and even a staff sing-along. Coming back to the room and finding wine, roses, and those awesome balloon decorations was just amazing.

We had an wonderful 5 day vacation at the Hyatt Ziva Cancun as a family of 4. The rooms, pools, restaurants, and staff were all excellent. We especially loved the buffet for breakfast, Chevy's for lunch, and the Italian restaurant for dinner. The kids were huge fans of the dessert shop, and for the adults the cafe had fast and good coffee always available. There was very minor upcharge offerings, including an offer to sit through a 1 hour meeting on "not a timeshare". We politely declined and never felt pressured beyond the initial offer. The drinks at the pool bar were fast and delicious. The beach had plenty of sand, and the water on the north side of the resort was warm, calm, and clear and easy to swim in with the kids. One thing we really appreciated with young kids was the entertainment. It was great, but it also wrapped up at a reasonable time and there wasn't a crazy "party atmosphere" that continued into the night. We will happily return for another visit in the future!

We have done multiple all inclusive resorts in Mexico, this trip we decided to take our young children along with us. This resort, being a Hyatt, let us down majorly. When we arrived, there was one person checking guest in, on a Saturday…. Imagine that line! From the TERRIBLE food quality, to the housekeeping, and bar supply, there wasn’t much we liked about it. For the price point, there was no top-shelf liquor, or even remotely close. Even the bartenders that had worked other resorts knew the bars here are poorly stocked. The housekeepers were not great at supplying things you had used or ran out of, multiple times we had to call and ask for washcloths, tissues, pillows for our children’s bed (there were none). The food, for the most part was very poor. The resort seemed to be understaffed and most guest we spoke with noticed the shortcoming in both the food and the service we received. Also- for January, the pool needs to be heated, it is advertised online that it is but it was FREEZING cold. Many commented that they wouldn’t stay here again, especially if they’ve been to other properties. They did keep the grounds meticulously, I will definitely give them credit there. We WILL NOT be back here, and I encourage you to look elsewhere for a family all-inclusive. Do better, Hyatt, do better.

Remember to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a place. This website will compare countless booking web sites and usually will have rates much cheaper than others! Thank me later! This place is one of the best in this area. I have been coming here for a very long time. If you stay for a few nights you won't be let down. We had a great time at Hyatt Ziva. We spent 5 days here and everyone loved it. Get the wrist band key, you'll appreciate it when you go swimming. The food was wonderful, even when it was cloudy and rainy the pools were warm and inviting.

I was very very very disappointed. For our anniversary, we chose to have dinner at the french restaurant La Bastille, located inside the resort. The waiter Marco asked us if we were there for a special occasion. We said that it was for our anniversary. So he offered to get us some steaks from their speciality menu which is normally not inclusive. It normally costs $119. He offered to get us those steaks for free. He insisted saying that the chef wanted to serve us the steaks as an anniversary gift. We accepted. At the end of the dinner, the waiter Marco asked us to sign a paper stating that we accept the charge of $119 for the steak . My husband told him that he can not sign it because he said it was completely free of charges. The waiter Marco stated that signing that paper only means that the restaurant can charge the hotel not us and he asked not to worry and he promised that we won’t be charged anything for the steaks. Once our stay was finished and we were trying to check out of the hotel, we were very disappointed by learning that they cut the amount of $119 for the steaks from the deposit we gave. We argued telling the story with the waiter Marco but they said that we signed the paper therefore we should be charged the amount. We left the hotel very disappointed. We happily paid a very high amount of money for our stay but this unprofessional trick made us feel cheated on, leaving a bad impression over the whole resort. The manager of our resort even confessed that sometimes these things happen and how he is sorry about it. He assured he would contact us and try to resolve the issue, which, of course, he never did. We told all our family and friends and we will never come to Hyatt Ziva again. Its silly to lose thousands in tourist income over a $100 trick. P.S: we also tipped the waiter Marco $50 that night for the free steaks.

Very good hotel in Cancun. Visited in August. It’s all inclusive and the food and drinks are pretty good for being all inclusive. For breakfast I recommend the buffet or tradewinds, and for lunch and evening they have pickings between Mexican, Italian, Asian, American and more cuisines and a good dessert shop. I especially liked the little carts that they have throughout the day with foods. They have excursions you can do off the beach and on tours for a price if you want. We did the tubing excursion and it was expensive for only 15min, and we probably could’ve done it cheaper somewhere else but it was convenient and fun for the kids. The rooms in the pyramid are really nice. Beach is not so good but the pools are good with a swim up bar and they have games and competitions throughout the day. Not much to do when it’s raining, though. The only thing I didn’t like were the dolphins. They shouldn’t keep them in captivity and exploit them for tourists, and I didn’t like how they made them do tricks all day and kept some in small pools. Overall 4/5 good hotel.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt Ziva last week. Weather was perfect and the resort was on gorgeous grounds. We loved the food options, the warm pools, attentive staff and private beach. The nightly concert was fun. The after hours club was an additional $20 and seemed lame - they should just make it free so people show up. But the hotel is close (short walk) to hotel zone late night spots if needed. Generally the resort is mostly families with younger children so my teens were a little out of place but this makes sense considering the price tag. I'm sure the college kids are staying at a cheap all inclusive somewhere else Would stay again if I can and now I recommend it to my friends.

All inclusive resort with international cuisine restaurants and bars (Italian, French, Mexican, American Diner, brewery, buffet and many others). Their cake/ice cream shop is fantastic. No wonder they are so strict when entering the hotel. Great facilities with pools, beaches, activities). Loved it! The staff are friendly but you have to pay for the friendliness. You have to come with pockets full of cash to tip, if you do not tip, they will remember you and will not care about you when you come back. Some staff obviously get commissions if they sell you special menus that are overpriced. That is why some dinner experiences turn into a trade show that you can’t refuse. A bit too intrusive.

This is a beautiful resort. We stayed in the Turquoize Sky Ocean Front King room. Huge room with lots of amenities. We lost a suitcase somewhere in our travels and the bell boys and butler were amazing in trying to track it down for us. For the price I wouldn’t stay here again though as I feel you can stay elsewhere in Cancun with just as nice restaurants and amenities for a lot cheaper. One of my biggest complaints and it goes with a lot of resorts is the temperature of the pools. It’s 30 degrees Celsius out and sometimes it feels like the pools are warmer than the outside air. So when you get out you actually feel cold from the breeze. Positive is that all the staff are very attentive and positive. They always greeted us with the biggest smiles and we were never pressured ever to give additional tips.

A very average hotel zone resort even though you’re paying for something that should be closer to a 5-star. Property is very pretty with both beaches and we enjoyed both pools. Staff is extraordinary top to bottom and is the biggest redeeming quality for this resort. Food is bland across the board and cocktails were almost always mock tails, so watered down it was laughable. Good resort for young families but that’s about it. Money will go a lot further elsewhere.

It was our first time in Cancun and at this resort. The hotel and beach areas are gorgeous and from what I understand from other travelers and locals it is one of the best views and beaches you can get. From start to finish (6 days) the staff was amazing and accommodating in every possible way for us. All the restaurants were better than expected for an all inclusive experience with the Italian, French, and Chef's Table experience being the top stars. Even the 24 hour room service food was way better than expected. We received beyond excellent service from Marco and Chef Alejandra at the Chef's Table experience, Rafael and Chef Alejandro at La Bastille, and Eduardo, Antonio, and Orlando at the pool bar (every day, these 3 were the greatest). I recommend seeking these employees/experiences out if you choose to stay. I am not sure why I saw a few 1 star reviews from the same timeframe when we stayed, because we had the complete opposite experience.

Overall, the experience was fantastic. However, I'm rating it three stars because there's one crucial aspect that I hope they'll consider improving: witnessing the dolphins being kept in a swimming pool (UNDER THE GLARING SUN) was genuinely heartbreaking. I kindly request that this area be removed.

Make sure to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking any room. This site will compare thousands of booking websites and normally will have prices much cheaper compared to others! You're welcome :)! This place is the best rated in this area. I have been coming here for years. If you stay for a few nights you definitely won't regret it. The Chef Alexia, and the waiter Ivan continued the tremendous service we have received at the hotel. But on the night we had dinner at Maria Marie the went even above tremendous. It was my wife's birthday and we were looking at the menu when the chef came over and said he had a special tonight if we would like to try it. We agreed and they brought out a wonderful seafood platter for my wife and I to share. Every restaurant and every member of the staff has constantly been trying to provide great service.

I LOVE this place. My partner and I have been here 3 times now and each time we love it more. It’s a beautiful, clean, facility with plenty of pool space, two beautiful beaches, and fantastic service. We eat vegan and there are plenty of food options. The labels can be a little off but everyone is very friendly and willing to answer questions. The drinks are fantastic and the included selection is very good. Pretty good shows every night and a lot to do during the day. They could use more live music! What I like most is the space to hang out. Not everyone is crowded into one lobby. The turquoise tower is worth it. Do it if you can. It’s also located in a sweet spot so you can walk off the property ATL restaurants, shopping, and clubs if that’s your thing.

We had a family vacation at Ziva after hearing good things from our friends. Overall we thought it’s a nice hotel with killer views. But they have a very strong upselling culture, so get ready to be harassed all day with people offering an upgrade or trying to sell you something. Pros: - Kids friendly with many activities for different age groups. - Above average food quality. - Great location with access to two beaches Cons - Harassment by salespeople at each corner - Staff is friendly…. Only if you tip. - Rooms can be outdated - wouldn’t recommend for couples with no kids, even for the adults only option. - They do their best to remove the seaweed, but you still get a lot of seaweed during the season.

The pool water was clean and there were many staff members clean for leaves. Several restaurants are good, recommend the French and American restaurants. The service staff is very nice and the room service food is good. The beach behind the hotel is beautiful and fireworks are set off at night. Do not recommend their dolphin ride program, there is a photo charge. Overall worth a visit!

The dreamiest vacation we’ve had in 26 married years! The resort is managed beautifully! The cleanliness of the property and rooms is impeccable, the food was award winning, so many activities to choose from, and first rate shows, the turquoise warm ocean and white sands are paradise, the birds, the dolphins, just everything makes you feel like you’re in heaven. The SPA!!!! Absolute best spa experience of my life. They surprised us for our anniversary with a gift and bubbly and chocolate dipped strawberries after our massages. And our masseuses were by far the best I’ve ever had - Betty and Ayana. The sweet shop and fitness room and cafe are always accessible and so fun….But my favorite thing by far is how loved and welcome the staff here makes EVERYONE feel. That alone is the reason why I would return. When you pass a staff member they put their right hand over their heart and look you in the eyes and smile and greet you - often times by saying “hello family”. It fills your soul every time. Thank you hard working staff for such a beautiful and relaxing and more than I could have ever imagined vacation!!!! We will be back with family and friends - too special not to share with the people we love! And if we choose to renew our wedding vows this is the spot for sure!!!! You do weddings right!!!!

We are currently still in the hotel and we already started to miss here. This hotel is amazing. Most of the reviews are real and we truly experiencing right now . This is our family first trip to Cancun. We are so glad that we booked this hotel. Everything is nearly perfect. Food is extremely good. Staffs are super friendly. Feel bad for them ( they have to wear long sleeve and long pants and mask in July Cancun ) I can see them sweating and dripping under their hat. But they still very professional and super polite. Worth the tips. Surf and turf. Don’t hesitate just book it. Can’t think anything bad. Will absolutely come back

Amazing hotel!!! Great customer service, great food, Turquoise tower was awesome, I can go on and on. Only thing I would say is some activities are super expensive at the hotel. You can catch a taxi to the mall about 10 mins away (still in the hotel zone and tourist area) and do the same activities. Jet ski, speed board, fish pedicure etc. after spending 3,800 on the room and resort, we tried to save money on excursions and that helped. I’m other than that, everything was great and I will definitely be coming back.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hyatt Cancun all-inclusive resort and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and attentive service from the friendly staff. The resort itself is absolutely stunning, with lush gardens and beautiful architecture that seamlessly blends with the natural surroundings. The rooms are spacious, clean, and modern, and offer breathtaking views of the ocean or the gardens. The all-inclusive package is truly top-notch, with a wide range of delicious food options and premium drinks available throughout the day. Whether you're in the mood for a fancy sit-down dinner or a quick snack by the pool, there's something for everyone. I particularly enjoyed the fresh seafood dishes and the extensive selection of cocktails. But what really sets the Hyatt Cancun apart is the level of service provided by the staff. Everyone I encountered during my stay was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure that I had a wonderful time. From the bartenders who remembered my drink order to the housekeeping staff who always kept my room in pristine condition, every interaction was a delight. Overall, I can't recommend the Hyatt Cancun all-inclusive resort enough. If you're looking for a luxurious and relaxing getaway in a beautiful tropical setting, this is the place to be. Five stars all around!

The location is great but that is it. Rooms are very dated and may need a significant renovation to come up to 2023's. Beverage is very watered down and the food is Ok.not expected for close to 4 digit figures per night that we paid. Look for a newer property since there is nothing extra you will get as an offset for this dated one. I was very disappointed since they wanted you to check out sharp at 12 noon and refused to keep the luggage at the front desk beyond 3 pm despite my pleading that my flight was late in the evening. Never again.

I never write reviews but I had to for the Hyatt Ziva. I need to help reassure future guest that THIS is the perfect choice for your stay. I did some research before booking anything, as it was my first time in Cancun and let me just say that I am very happy that I chose this place. The location was exactly where you want to be. The service from everyone working on the resort was amazing and very welcoming. The restaurants were great, the dessert shop and the food stands around the resort were a major plus! The bars, the lounges, the shows, the activities, the private and public beaches, the cabanas, the pools, the dolphins, the coffee shop, the smoothie stand, I could go on and on with everything I loved about this resort. Thank you Hyatt Ziva for this amazing experience! And a special thank you to our butlers, America and Emmanuel!!! They were absolutely amazing and so helpful. I am telling everyone I know about this place and I WILL BE BACK!

We had an incredible stay at this hotel! The room was fantastic, offering a perfect blend of comfort and style. The service surpassed all expectations, with a staff that went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. We have been to this hotel three times now and continue to have an amazing experience. The staff is wonderful and friendly. The food is great and the activities for the kids (shows, kids club, etc) are amazing. My kids absolutely love it. They are extremely attentive to food allergies. My child has severe nut allergies and gluten sensitivity and they keep him safe and taken care of. They have a special chef and team to address food allergies.

Great place for family or couples to get away and enjoy a great beach resort. Most of the food is excellent, The only thing I did not like is the upselling of certain things at the resort and sometimes there is a disconnect due to language barriers, but it is Mexico so. Their customer service is stellar though, they are attentive to your needs and try to make things right the best way possible when issues arise, which is becoming a fading quality with some businesses now. I would definitely recommend this place for a vacation.

Beautiful! We opted for the adults only tower with butlers and private check-in, champagne during the process, and an adults only pool. However, there are other family pools on the premises, and actually the only pools we went too. The gym was great, so says my husband. Love the cocktails here! The wine was decent. No bottom shelf alcohol, and that's a plus for me. The views were stunning from everywhere within the resort and walking around was a little like paradise. The restaurants were decent but our favorite was the poolside restaurants. We visited the spa and love the soaking pools. We got massages and facials and were not disappointed. They also have hawks on premises, to keep birds away from the dining areas. They are trained and with a specialist. A cool necessity.

I stayed here in November 2022 on a solo trip. The atmosphere was great, and they kept guests entertained all day/ night with activities or games. The nightly entertainment at 8pm was always good. I loved the workers. They were kind and attentive, and I never felt neglected as a solo traveler. Most of the food I tried was very good. The only place I had a bad experience was La Bastille, hence the 4 star rating. The server looked like he was a hurry to head home and very inattentive. He also hovered over my me while I ate, asking if I was done every two seconds. I wasn't the only guest in the restaurant, but I must have been the only one in his section.

I booked our trip at the beginning of January, staying six or more nights in the Turquoize Tower, which is adult-only and the upper-end exclusive area of this resort. I happen to be an explorer level member of the Hyatt program, which also adds upgrades and perks. I travel a lot for work and have always had great service and that is why I only stay at Hyatt Hotels. This place is beautiful, everybody is friendly and the staff has been splendid. Our room is wonderful and spa facilities were fantastic! The views, beaches (yes, two) and pools are stunning! The service was exceptional! We greatly enjoyed the food too. Thank you to the staff and managers for making our stay so special! Everyone went above and beyond to make us want to return quickly!!!

Just got back from our weekend trip at Hyatt Ziva Cancun. While the staff were top notch and all friendly less can be said about the rest of hotel. Last year we went to Moon Palace Cancun and in comparison my wife and I felt Hyatt Ziva Cancun is seriously lacking. Rooms had a lingering sewage smell which was a bit tough to deal with. considering i was paying $1200+ for a corner suite i expected better. Rooms get a 3/5 Food was also mediocre. I always lower my expectations since its to be expected for a all inclusive resort to have lower tier food than the usual 4 or 5 star restaurants here in the states but the food here was seriously lacking in flavor and some dishes were just overly salty. Food gets a 2.5/5 overall not really worth the money in my opinion. only saving grace for this hotel is its location is prime. beautiful ocean view

They wash plates with seafood and your drinking cups all in the same water. I work with restaurants all across America and never seen such unpracticed cleaning and sanitizing. No wonder it's Mexico in the US the health dept. Would stop operations in a heartbeat. O and they had one fryer for everything which would explain why my chicken tasted like fish.

READ!! This hotel is undergoing a major change in management and it is TERRIBLE!!!! No staff, horrific food, filthy public bathrooms. Save yourself the money and disappointment of such a bad experience. This all in inclusive resort is a sham! Hyatt you duped us!!! Each night our wait for dinner was over 2 hours long only to be seated then served 1 hour later…cold food!! They had 1 server working at our restaurant last night, poor guy. Absolutely not a manager around to be seen. The beach is littered with cigarettes and trash, there are 7 men raking the seaweed for busy work and none cleaning up dishes or trash from the day before. There is absolutely no beach service for drinks or towels or anything. Some of the same cups sat for 3 days until I carried them up myself because I CARE about the ocean getting dirty. How about a 40 min wait every morning for coffee- 1 man working the barista station while his coworkers chop fruit, makes NO sense- the ONLY grab and go coffee spot available. Lines out the door every morning for coffee. We found a donut in a box in the lobby this am- what the heck is that??? Is that the welcome to Hyatt donut box?? Disgusting! Mismatched dishes and glassware made me feel like I was at some second hand thrift store- and they reuse free plastic cups from some liquor promotion. Definitely NOT the level of service I have come to expect from Hyatt. The bellman told me that staffing is short due to major turnover in management. We still paid full price!! DO NOT PAY FULL PRICE for half the service.
