The best thing about the resort were the workers, other than the front desk staff. The workers overall were great. Other than that, it is a 1-2 star resort at best. The room was dirty. Socks from a previous guest were left, the curtains were nasty, and when you used the shower, the entire bathroom floor flooded. You could see there was mold starting to grow. The beds were so small we barely fit into 1 not to mention you couldn’t lower the air conditioning in the room. Our iron didn’t work right on top of everything else. It was bad. Don’t stay out late because you have to be in line by 8am if you want reservations to eat at a “decent” restaurant for the night and not the buffet. There’s only 4 to choose from. It’s just not any kind of quality at all. You would think if you pay Royal Holiday hundreds of dollars a month for a time share you would get better. We let them know and they gave us a $40 spa certificate that didn’t cover any 1 service without us having to pay additional money. We made the best of the time out of our room but advise against this place and against Royal Holiday. My husband ended up sick and we believe it’s from the mold in the bathroom. Highly discourage this resort.

I would love to give a good review to this resort, but I need to get some public attention, so people can be warned. The resort is wonderful overall. Great service, delicious food, activities, a few pools and other great amenities, BUT this resort has a Royal Holiday club, that offers "memberships". If someone will ask you to attend their presentation - DO NOT agree. Everything they offer is not true and the sales person will misrepresent the whole product, so you will agree to purchase it. We signed the contract for membership, and by contract we could cancel it within first five days, Royal Club refused to cancel the contract within permitted time. Three weeks after, we found that we did not buy a membership, but a timeshare. Even though we asked at least five times during the presentation if it was a timeshare and the sales person told us that Royal Holiday was a vacation club with no affiliation with any timeshare company. Which was NOT TRUE. So please, be aware, and do not have any business with them. I do not respect liars and scammers, and it is a shame to conduct a fraud with your loyal clients. I will never ever go back to this resort, even if it is the last resort on the planet. Stay ways from this place. When the sales person misrepresent the product it is a fraud.

The location, beach, and pools are SUPERB! Also the drinks are great and they are very generous with their portions. Across the street there's a plaza with dozens of stores and restaurants which was super convenient. Unfortunately that's where the magic ends. There's literally an army of people working there, and all are useless, any help you need you are told to go to the room and dial zero, and if you do the operator tells you to go to the lobby. The food is meh, and to eat at their Mexican and Italian restaurants you need to make a reservation by standing in line for an hour at another restaurant the same day you want to eat there. Our room didn't get cleaned one day until 9pm and the AC didn't work for the first half of our trip. You get what you pay for.

Israel in the Mexican restaurant was very, very good. Attentive to our order and did his job with a smile. We had a group of 11 and he served us very well. He has a heart to serve and loved his approach to having fun while serving.

The resort and hotel rooms were beautiful, maintained well and very cleanly. The drinks were delicious and served quickly, and the food was all delicious. The buffet had such a great variety and changed it's theme everyday, I could've eaten there everyday. The Italian restaurant was good, but the Mexican restaurant was my favorite (did not try seafood restaurant). The snack bar was very convenient to get snacks at during the day if you were just looking to "munch" on something, it was nice to be able to take it to the beach or poolside if you didn't want to go have a sit down lunch. The staff was very attentive and helpful and took great care of myself and my friends. The resort having an app made it very convenient to request things like ice, towels, you name it and the staff delivered quickly. The staff went above and beyond and was just all around very kind. From the Spa getting our group of 7 in for massages and explaining all of our options and rescheduling times as needed, to the entertainment in the lobby and at the pool being very inclusive and there always being an activity going on (karaoke, water aerobics, bingo, etc), and the Coco Bongo representatives booking tickets for our group and also securing a seat on the dance floor for my friend who is in a boot due to just having surgery. Thank you to all the staff for helping myself but especially my friend out so much and making her as comfortable and included as possible! Special mention to: Eduardo & Pedro at concierge who were extra kind and took great care of us and our bags to/from our room as well as the taxi; Timo the beach server who was very hospitable and friendly making sure we had everything we needed; and Edwin and his partner at the adult only pool bar for keeping up with my friends (many) drink requests. Would highly recommend this resort and would love to return again!!

VERY DISAPPOINTED! We had BED BUGS in the room # 2209. The room infested !!! Me and my son got bitten every night! At first I was thinking about mosquito bite or other insects, but non of my friends that were staying at other rooms got bitten. Over a couple of nights I got bitten about 40-50 times. After I realized by the pattern of the bites than this can not be just mosquitos. Very typical for bed bugs. I complained about the situation and I was promised to be taken care of. In the early morning As soon I told about bed bugs, they said « don’t worry, just wait in the lobby ». In the mean time they got to my room and cleaned away all the evidence. They cleaned mattresses and changed bed sheets. I spent the whole day at the hotel being passed from one « manager » to the other. Everybody was telling me different stories. In the morning I was promised that my clothes will be washed and the other cloths and bags will be desinfected with the special professional company . Every time I had to wait for different managers that kept promising things.in the middle of the day they said that that will not provide with a proseffional cleaning, that can only wash the clothes. Not al my cloths can be watched . Some has to be dry cleaned, my bags had to be desinfected as well. I was waiting for some help. At the end of the day , not only they provide with an appropriate service, they DENIED that there were any bed bugs!!! Me and my son left with many very itchy bites . And i have a bagage that has to be cleaned professionally when we get back home to Montreal. I was rejected to have ANY compensation for the situation !!!!! The only thing they did is they changed my room. I am super disappointed with this unpleasant situation and mostly disappointed that the hotel got rid of all the evidence very quickly and denied that there were no bed bugs. They didn’t ask the professional service to come. They have no proof to say that there was no bugs. I have the proof on my body!!! Very sad. I will never come back.

Overall a fabulous family holiday. Can't fault the room, cleaned daily, amazing terrace with our own plunge pool. It would be nice if there was more evening entertainment other than karaoke, especially for children. Food was good, El Pascador was our firm favourite as the buffet was a bit hit and miss. Beach was out of this world! Absolutely stunning and life guards are fantastic. The staff where fabulous and can't do enough for you in most cases, our favourite being Wilbert, the best service, he always went above and beyond and made effort to get to know you :-) Kids pool was brilliant! It's a great for hotel for families with children. A negative I do have was that on the first night our 1 year old baby had to sleep on a mattress on the floor due to the hotel not being able to provide a travel cot which we had requested in advance. He rolled off the mattress onto the tiled floor resulting in a bumped head which wasn't great and shouldn't have happened. We explained this on the second day but was advised again that there wasn't any available, after explaining what had happened the previous night, the hotel somehow managed to sort a travel cot almost straight away... Hotel would also benefit from a few more high chairs in my opinion.

Very poorly run. Everything takes forever and no one is accommodating. If you want to eat at a restaurant you need to stand in line for an hour starting at 11am. If you go any later they will tell you it’s fully booked. Nothing explained at check in. I wanted to check out early and go somewhere else. I wasn’t supposed to stay here but the Grand Park Royal canceled my reservation the morning of my arrival because apparently they were overbooked. I showed up at the resort and the front desk tried to sell me the same room for $100 USD more. No one tried to help or was even sorry. Just know if you book this resort, there is a good chance your reservation might not be confirmed. Just avoid at all costs so you don’t start your vacation without a place to stay!

Drinks were given upon arrival. Room was ready when we checked in. The process was easy. The food however needs a lot of work. Breakfast was not good for the buffet. Neither was dinner. I am currently staying here and still going to try the Italian restaurant so hopefully it is better. Otherwise it’s mostly a family hotel.

I didn’t have a great experience staying at this location. The location of the property was great and the room was good. However, the property is an older property. It stated it was a 4 star property, but ii is 3 at best. In the building I stay in, had two elevators, and one was broken down for 4 days. The only working one, kept breaking down. In addition to the food, which was not good at all. In fact, on Monday, September 4, I ate at the Seafood restaurant , on site. About an hour later, I got sick. I was in the bed from Monday night through Wednesday. I believe I got food poisoning. I also missed 2 excursions, that was paid for and couldn’t get a refund. So, no my experience at this property was not good.

Stayed at this resort on a whim after a work trip in Miami. What an experience. The expectation for the food drink and service was very low and wow it blew me away. It’s a very well balanced resort with a great bang for your buck type vibe. Make sure to check out Frida. It’s one of the best authentic Mexican restaurants I’ve experienced in this type of environment.

We have been coming to Park Royal for over 20 years...they did a very expansive update/improvements in the past 3 years. It was a delight to see the end results upon our arrival Saturday Dec.11 The entire facility is very vigilant in following all COVID protocol. We are 100 per cent impressed with all they are doing to protect anything that might be a concern for our well-being. I would recommend this resort to anyone wishing to enjoy a wonderful experience in Cancun,Mexico. The staff will take great care of you during your stay..enjoy.

We enjoyed our stay at Park Royal Resort. It is a great family environment with exceptional customer service. The location is also great as there is a mall right across the street. Pros: -Exceptional Customer service! Every staff member we met were courteous and friendly. Highlight employees from our visit: -Antonio (Italian Restaurant) has a superb singing voice for special occasions and very hospitable. Thank you for making our family getaway more enjoyable with your humor and energetic personality! -Yvette (La Pescadora) was a delight to the whole family! Her humor and recommendations were a real treat after a long day out and about. One could not experience better customer service than with Yvette! Thank you! -Felix (Buffet) was such a delight! He was quick to ensuring we had all we needed during the rush hour. He even had time to teach us some Mayan phrases, truly appreciated! Thank you Felix for your hospitality! Cons: -The beds are a bit stiff and our room’s key mechanism gave out and left us unable to gather our belongings for a few hours. -If you like drinking alcoholic beverages I suggest getting drinks at either the pool bars, rooftop bar or restaurants; anywhere else, lower your expectations.

we came into a restaurant or the pool area we were always recognized and treated very well..like family almost. Lorenzo at El Pescador was an amazing waiter and always treated us like royalty. Always paying close attention to our needs, and Vivian was the best manager ever. She always made us feel right at home. Chef Cabrera made an excellent steak and lobster dinner and came out to greet us. This was the best ever! Rooms were cleaned and restocked everyday and the service was impeccable.

I've been to this resort at least a dozen times over 25 years. The service has really gone down the tubes the last couple times I've stayed. The hot tubs no longer have jets. Many of the staff are new and don't care nearly as much as they did in the past. Decent cocktails are now behind a paywall that is a new rooftop bar. I was refused service at the lobby bar because they were "out of cups" (no, I wasn't drunk 😅). I should also mention, many of the staff are no longer required to speak English or Portuguese. Luckily I can speak enough Spanish that I was able to translate for my family. I'd recommend steering clear of the convenience shop on the resort, their prices are very inflated compared to similar shops across the street. The food was amazing, as usual. The cleanliness of the rooms was superb. Our concierge was great.

We opted not to utilize all inclusive option as this hotel is located across from La Isla mall, which has many restaurants with different tastes and prices. Very safe area, the most dangerous part probably just crossing the street. The staff were always friendly. We had many maintenance issues, from loss of hot water on a few nights, bulbs going out, electricity going out, no filters on AC vents and inability to flush toilet paper. The hotel is older and it’s showing. Two pools, though inadequate due to number of rooms. No jacuzzi, which was a bummer. People were not happy with their buffet choices, as daily fries, burger and nachos get old really quickly. What bothered me the most was a check in. There were about 5 guests checking in and only one person working. At 4 pm!! We waited for an hour. When it was our turn, it was like we were inconveniencing him. There was a lady floating around, but I think she was a sales person. All in all, there are areas in which they could improve.

Bad. Summary: -20 minutes to check in, for each party. It felt almost like I am buying a house with amount of questions and paperwork. -customer service lobby to find a lost and found item, 15 minute wait on the phone. -booking a standard tour to, 30 minutes. -asked to change rooms as there was a significant water leak in the middle of the room, and was told to wait as it would be fixed. 4 hours later not fixed, and demanded for a new room. Took 15 minutes to get setup on new room. -people around trying to sell you on time share memberships. -40 minute morning line to make dining reservations.

From the time we got there all they wanted you to do was go to a seminar or constantly trying to sell you a trip. We bought a trip and they lied about everything...time it took to get there and activities. The pictures they show you too reel you in are awesome til you get to the activities. Everything is old and run down. The beach is full of seaweed and the food is the same everyday and mediocre at best. I would not recommend staying here. I waited to talk to management for 3 days and no one contacted me. Also little ants were running around the room everyday.

The customer service and cleanliness of hotel was excellent . Servers , housekeeping , bar attendants were all very personable . The veranda buffet was the best food at the restaurant. Sadly the Italian and seafood restaurants were lacking . I enjoyed the pool and beach facilities and didn’t have to stress on drinks or lounge chairs. The central ac in the room and lobby stayed hot but after day 3 , we asked for a fan for our room which made a big difference . Consider that if you choose this resort . Other than that , I would definitely stay here again.

Andres is in the Mexican restaurant went out of his way to make my wife's birthday special. Thank you for your kindness and service of spirit. Gabriel in the Pescado lunch restaurant was also exceptionally kind and attentive. The wait staff are on it...never waited more than a minute and my water was refilled. Room service did an exceptional job of keeping our rooms clean and free of sand. Even left us extra waters. Beach is beautiful, the water is fun, the lifeguard (his name escapes me) does a really great job of reading the ocean and keeping guests safe with the use of flags. Best to pay attention. I was impressed with his attention to detail as well. The staff were all quite nice. Health and Safety protocols were top notch. It was a quiet but fun resort. JUST WHAT I NEEDED.

My family and I stayed here for a week. From what I read, I thought I was going to have issues with customer service but they were very professional and polite at all times. The buffet is perfect if you have a large party like us. And the waiters are eager to get you as many drinks as possible which is part of the package. Just make sure to tip! The best food had to come from the Mexican restaurant where you have to set reservations in the morning in order to eat dinner that night. They have some ppl selling gifts outside near the pool area. I wouldn’t purchase anything from them as you can get everything they sell way cheaper if you walk across the street from the resort. The only complaint is that when you check in… they have you speak to a person who says it’s their job to give you a welcome package. Don’t Do It! Unless you want to be bothered in purchasing an apartment. You need to be blunt that you are not interested or they will be calling your room throughout the whole vacation. Trying to setup a time to talk more about purchasing rooms.

There was bed bugs in our room!! I stayed here before coronavirus and it was good for the price, but now they let me down completely!!! This was a disgusting stay filled with attitude from the workers and disgusting bed bugs and ants filled throughout the hotel. I went home and had to leave my luggage to avoid an infestation inside my own home!! Staying in a 4.5 star rated hotel to go home without anything is horrible. Also, my friend cut her foot open because they left broken glass throughout the balcony!!! Not to mention me and my friend(who stayed in another room) getting locked in my room for hours because they refused to kick in the door! PLEASE do not stay here.

Food, service and facilities are very poor. First day at the hotel and ran out of towels, so we didn’t have clean towels, soap and shampoo etc. for the whole second day. We had to wait 1 hour for some fried eggs at breakfast time. Our room didn’t have a working phone, two roof lights didn’t work. I could go on and on writing what it’s going wrong with this hotel. One thing to mention it’s most of the staff are nice and feel very bad for the place where they work. Do not buy the membership, it’s not worth it!

Honestly the best trip of our lives! Not just because we were visiting Cancun, but because of how great we were treated from the start!!! Once Gerardo found out about our 11 year anniversary, he (and every other staff we encountered) went out of their way to make us feel extra special! From the great atmosphere all the way down to the delicious food—everything very memorable. The Park Royal is great for singles, couples, and families!!! Just got back to CT and we are already looking for our next trip to Cancun and Park Royal—this time with our daughters, so they can share in this wonderful experience!

Overlooking the turquiose blue water in the Gulf of Mexico. Lovely beach front All-Inclusive property in the Cancun Hotel Zone. Crowded and loud - perfect for families and multigeneration vacations. Always something lively going on. Adults only pool is nice to get away from screaming kids. Big all you can eat buffet with lots of selections. Lunch offers the option of a very nice fish restaurant in addition to the excessively loud, crowded buffet. Two upscale onsite restaurants (Mexican and Italian) require inconvenient stand in long line to make limited seating reservations from 11-12 daily. If you have any other plans each day at 11 o'clock, too bad - you'll be stuck eating at the noisy, crowded buffet during the COVID Pandemic. 😝 Of course you can always pay your All-inclusive fee and then go off property and pay more to dine elsewhere. Several bar options including a swim up pool. Friendly, efficient multilingual bar tenders. All you care to drink! Top shelf available on request. On-site tours office offer diverse tour options from scuba diving to jet skis to city tours with shopping and cultural tourism options. Knowledgeable, multilingual staff can tailor your experience and make recommendations based on your interests. Historic, Mayan ruins tucked in the jungle are adjacent to the Park-Royal in a State Park! Very cool photo op! Indigenous iguanas basked on the sunny rocks! Convenient on-site free COVID Antigen rapid testing for 2 guests provided by concierge physician. Additional guests pay $30 US per test. Canadians requiring negative PCR tests can obtain them from a pharmacy across the street.

We were at the resort 1/29/22-2/5/22. We arrived at 6PM and it took about 45 minutes to check in. Even though there was nobody in front of us. We had to prompt the reception person with everything. She spoke no English and we spoke very little Spanish. She gave us a map to our room which was so lightly printed we could hardly read it. Not a very good first impression. We discovered we were in another building and when we entered our room, all the trouble checking in was forgotten. The room was fabulous. On the top floor and at the end of the building we had a huge living room, bedroom, 2 bathrooms, and a huge balcony with a private stone tub on the balcony. Although not facing the ocean, Cancun is a narrow strip of land so we had a view of the large water between us and the mainland. Across the street were 2 shopping centers with many shops and restaurants. We had to ask where the restaurants were. The buffet was our only option as the specialty restaurants were reservation only. A word about the staff. They were everywhere and only wanted to help. The resort was spotless and constantly cleaned. Food. The buffet was about a 5 out of 10. There was plenty of food but nothing special. We compared it to dorm food. Breakfast was the usual with omelet stations. We discovered on day 3 that you had to ask for bacon as it was never on the buffet. Lunch buffet seemed better and the snack bar did have mediocre hot dogs, hamburgers, ribs, and pizza along with snacks. We discovered the specialty restaurants. The fish restaurant which was open for lunch and dinner was not an option as I’m allergic to fish. We did eat at the Italian restaurant 3 times and it was pretty good with excellent service. I could not understand why the second “specialty” restaurant was a Mexican restaurant after all we were in Mexico and the buffet was filled with Mexican food but it was and we ate there once and found it nothing special. We live on the West Coast and have some outstanding Mexican food. This was not. We were really disappointed with the food in general. The location was fabulous, the beach was fabulous, the pools. We are two seniors so we went to the adult pool which was actually quite nice. It had its own bar, oh. When you order drinks ask for double shots otherwise you taste nothing. There was always something going on in the regular pool. They had DJ’s everyday organizing anything. The problem was they had the microphone, music, and sound up to the level needed in Yankee Stadium. You literally heard it in the ocean and across the street by the shopping center. Why? We had a good vacation but with all the nice restaurants within walking distance, I wouldn’t stay in an all inclusive.

The room is spacious, but the bed is a killer. The service is great they very attentive and always extend themselves. The location is ok. we rented a car so we can explore more of Mexico. What sucked was that the food service closed is not open all day.

Enrique Lopez at the lobby bar is the man. He makes the BEST espresso martinis. Got food poisoning while I was there from the buffet. Stick to deep fried foods. Restaurants aren’t good and have to line up one hour each day to make a reservation.

EXTREMELY SLOW AND UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE Pros: - Location is good - Room was big Cons: - Signal/WIFI in the hotel is bad - Check-in took hours, even though there weren't that many people in the lobby. My friend was staying at a different hotel and was not able to come inside past the parking lot, to my room or to eat at the restaurant. They made us sign up and tried to make us pay for a guest pass (even though she was not staying at my hotel!!!). - Run more strictly than a low cost airline, they try to charge you for anything. - Extremely rude and disrespectful staff - WILL NOT GO BACK

Upon arrival, we were excited about the location of the hotel and our check-in process went pretty well. We had a Presidential Suite and loved the space, however, we were hoping it was on a higher floor, but we settled for the ground floor. The first day lunch was good, however, we immediately noticed the selection & variety were minimal and the authenticity was a bit lacking. It all went down hill from there. Breakfast was ok at best, and for 5days, the selections remained the same.. Lunch was average, and again, the variety of choices didn't changed much. Dinner - same theme. Some good choices, mostly (---..by the 3rd night we decided to seek outside restaurants. Across the street had a Japanese Fusion restaurant named Kai and OMG the food was absolutely divine ( we regret we didn't discover this sooner) about $800 for 7, but well worth every $$$ We signed up for their Vacation Package and hopefully over time we can enjoy the perks of frequent vacations, but we will definitely not be returning to this property. Great Poor Martin ( our connect) A/C in the Lobby Antonio Room AC leaked on our 4th night Restaurant staff Sorry Entertainment Cappuccino Alcoholic Drinks were mediocre Fried chicken & soups Food not Authentic Mexican Overall my daughter enjoyed her Sweet 16 birthday getaway at this hotel, if ONLY the food was better, it would have been a true Bash....

Lorenzo,, Gabriel and Vivian showed us such special attention. The staff everywhere in the resort made us feel like royalty. The food is excellent in all the restaurants and clean. I don’t know the ladies name who does the omelette bar in the buffet restaurant but I have to tell you it was awesome seeing her in the morning such a wonderful smile and cordial just a sweetheart.

Our waiter Fabian, the buffet area, is absolutely the best. Hes very attentive, makes great suggestions, carries a great conversation, and makes you feel like family. He has made our vacation expierence fantastic. Ask to be seated in his area. And you won't be disappointed. Over all great service.

Ricardo and Wilbert were excellent waiters. They were very attentive to our family's needs and went beyond our expectations. For example, we would come in late sometimes for breakfast and Wilbert would remember to save us some bacon. Workers like this are priceless and a welcome sight. Thank you very much. Luis.

Really liked our stay here, it was better than what I was expecting, and great value overall. Kudos to Adri, the lady doing the breakfast omelettes! She is upbeat, happy, welcoming and skilled! Definitely a highlight My main complaint is with the free transfer promotion available at the website (4+ nights). When booking the process was easy, straightforward, and I informed the flight number for our departure. I didn't receive a pick up time, so I tried asking at the reception 1 day before our departure, no one knew about the promotion, didn't care, or just tried to say it was someone else's responsibility. The sixth person was the only one that truly tried to help us. At the start of the whole ordeal (which was delayed due to a power outage during the day) I sent an email to the company, which they didn't reply to, but called me informing the pick up time. Everything went smoothly after that Overall service was great and attentive. Room was large (a little too dark at night). Location was practical

Definitely won’t stay again, expected more. The location is good, you have a pharmacy and mall across the street. Front desk was helpful, almost all the people working in the hotel are cool. The room was whats needed but nothing more, beds bounce, the bathroom was old and not in a good shape, AC worked perfect. Sadly had more than 1 bad experience with the service of the restaurants/snacks, denying service when the place was empty, same type of food for several days, the only restaurant we liked was the Italian (need reservation). We wanted to open the windows to enjoy the sound of the sea at night and wasn’t able as isn’t safe. We knew it was a 4 stars hotel but had better experiences in other brands.

Hotel was good. Do not use the travel agency in the hotel or you will be scammed out of a lot of money. I have been emailing and calling since March and still have not seen my money and contacted the bank and they can’t do anything. The company canceled because of rain and never gave me my money after I sent them photos of my receipts.

Great place for the price. Beautiful beach nice rooms. The one thing I did love about this place is the staff. The staff is awesome. If you ever go here look for Arley he was one of the bartenders he is absolutely amazing such a sweetheart made our day every day. We would go back just to see him. Thank you for making our trip wonderful. Fun night time activities. We do wish that there was room service and better food selection. FYI if you book a excursion no restaurants are open before seven. That was frustrating before we left for our day adventure. They will pack you a lunch if you request it the day before.

Service is great when it comes to certain staff. Some staff do their work and say good morning but others give you the smile and actually get to know you and family. Adri is in the Veranda restaurant making your omelettes and let me tell you she is amazing. She treats you with love and always gives you a smile as well as a welcoming. Another person to remember will be Joel with entertainment, he is full of energy with dancing and getting people to have fun during their stay. He has a passion for his job and you will know what l mean when he gets you to participate in given activities. I will miss these kind employees and will forever be grateful they were part of our vacation.🤗❤️

The apartments are in an excellent location, a very responsive owner, a compliment from him was red wine. We received a lot of instructions on what to do and what we can use in the apartments. I was pleasantly surprised by the discount for the Coco Bongo disco. The apartments are located in the Park Royal Hotel and the owner's policy allows you to use the hotel's pool and beach. The apartment itself is a little tired, but we were pleased with the clean sheets. The kitchen has everything you need, even salt, a little oil, which was a pleasant surprise, thanks to the owner for all these buns. You need to enter the apartment using the issued code. Nearby is a huge shopping center, a bunch of restaurants, bars, tennis courts, etc..

Cristian Bustos at the beach was AMAZING!!! He kept the drinks coming, brought us food without even asking and made great recommendations for delicious drinks. He went WAY ABOVE AND BEYOND and made our vacation the BEST!!! Thank You Cristian for being so wonderful and kind!!!! We had 2 delicious dinners at Andiamo the Italian restaurant! Freddy was the restaurant Captain and was very kind and helpful, Adrian was such a great server that we requested him again tonight, he was very attentive and made great recommendations. We also met the Chef Samuel who came to our table as I wanted to personally say Thank You for preparing me the fresh fish without the shrimp sauce since I am allergic. Great food and and even better service. Thank you so much!!!!

Wait staff was fantastic, otherwise would not have given three stars. Mario has taken great care of us for years. We stayed in Presidential Deluxe room on 8th floor. Air conditioning did not work the entire time we were there. (8 days) Contacted front desk multiple times. They Sent maintenance up several times, but A/C was never fixed. Due to the heat we were not able to sleep well the eight days we were there. I asked to be moved to different room, but they wouldn’t accommodate. Very disappointing as this is one of the nicest/ most expensive rooms. Have been there multiple times but will most likely look elsewhere in the future. Thanks again to the fantastic wait staff/chefs/restaurant staff. We felt the food was very good.

The rooms don't have adequate air conditioning. The food is not the grate except for the fish restaurant. The drinks are on the cheep end. The staff is not so bad but some seem they just don't care. We reserve what's called a chill out on the beach. We left towels when we went to lunch for 45 min and came back to find the staff gave our reservation to another couple. Nobody cares nobody lifted a finger to do something. If you choose to come hear I hope you have a better experience than we did. But I will never spend my hard earned money to have such a sub par and uncomfortable vacation at this resort again.

Our vacations started off horribly, but after we switched to this hotel everything went uphill. Antonio Mejia was our guide the whole way through, he was very helpful and made sure that we were satisfied the entire time. The Veranda buffet had lots of options for the picky eaters in my family. There was a kid’s club with a variety of activities for our children, and by the end of our stay all the staff recognized us. This hotel felt like a home away from home, so much so that we joined their partnering program to get discounts on all Park Royal hotels around the globe! Thank you to the staff for turning our vacation around and making it the best one yet.

Walter, on the beach has been the most helpful on this resort. HE HAS GONE ABOVE & BEYOND to ensure we are being well served. My family looks forward to seeing him everyday. More than bringing us the drinks, he’s also gave us great recommendations, even offered to bring us food. We are so happy to have met Walter! Very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and kind kind person.

Don’t waste your money. They only have one walk-in restaurant named Veranda which would serve you same food in lunch and dinner. The hotel does not offer any room service. The other two restaurants Mexican and Italian would need prior appointment. If you are excited to make an appointment with the restaurant, please don’t keep high hopes with their food as nothing looks authentic when it comes to food preparation. Staff is courteous but would need more training on hospitality. The drinks at the bar is ok majority of cocktails are made with tequila. I want to give one star for beautiful beach the property has and second star for the resort location which is in the hotel zone Cancun . For the folks who are really looking for all inclusive experience I would suggest try some American chain hotels as this resort is catering to locals and all it has to offer is poorly prepared Mexican food.

Absolutely love this resort!!!! The bartenders are amazing. With all the people they deal with they always remember what you're drinking. Love they have little booths set up in the evening so you can buy great gifts for your loved ones back home. We are lucky to go here every year with my best-friend and her husband. If you are looking for a place to go here is your spot.

After YEARS of coming to this resort it is with great sadness that I have to say it has let me down for the first time. The quality has gone down compared to my last visit in 2020. If you’re a time share holder; this place is just not it anymore. Upon arrival we were greeted at the VIP check out by the rudest young lady (I believe named Daniela) her face the entire time was bored and uninterested, she made so many mistakes to our reservation even after constantly being helped by her coworkers. A couple of days into the trip the entire hotel was without electricity for HOURS with no warning or apology. Then on a separate day the air conditioners stopped working half way though the night, again for hours. Breakfast at the buffet was also a nightmare, there are barely enough waiters and the buffet would be packed with people all having to look for their own table. Went 3 days without coffee because it wasn’t worth having to fight to get a waiters attention. Clearly understaffed, also most employees just looked miserable and were borderline rude if you asked for literally anything. This includes front desk, towel guys, and waiters on the beach. Overall not the place to be for a getaway.

We had an amazing 6 days vacation here with family and friends. The Room were clean, the food and drink was great and so many varieties, the employees were kind and helpful. Our to go waiter at La Veranda restaurant was Wilbert, always greeting us with a smile and serving us very kindly and always checking on us with his colleagues Jesus and Ricardo. Such a great experience overall. We will come back over and over again.

This used to be a great place. The manager, Napoleon, is terrible and has no customer service what so ever! They will lose a lot of people because of this. He has terrible people skills! He is abrupt, rude, and pretty much lies to all. I went there over 3 years ago, it was great.! Now it has went down hill because of Napoleon! Beware, this is a Bait and Switch program!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !I left there telling everyone, do not buy into their timeshares! They don't care about you once they have your money. As for Napoleon, let's just say they picked the right name when he was born! People like the servers treat people better than the management. Stay away, and find a better place to drop your money. At least until they find proper management, who actually care about you. I know we are! The food is mediocre. It's all very repetitive, same old stuff each day. Again, it all starts at the top, so this starts with the management. It's a trickle down affect! It's pretty much left, a bad taste in our mouths. Try a different hotel, and don't buy into their Timeshares! Trust and believe! If we're members and they treat us like nothing, you can only imagine if you weren't. I myself spoke to many people there who were going to buy into it. Once I spoke to them, they chose not to. I also have told many people who have asked me where to stay, and obviously, it's not here! As for Carlos de Silva, he never ever reached out to any of us! As Napoleon mentioned, he was the top management no one else. SAD!

My overall experience at Park Royal Beach Resort was amazing. The service especially was amazing. The employees who were in charge of the entertainment center were amazing and very interactive. Neftali especially was a very respectful and enjoyable person to be around who made the trip a lot more entertaining. He made sure we always had a smile on our face and even played a game of beach soccer with us. The waiter service was also outstanding, Ivette especially was very friendly and made sure our family was enjoying our stay. Antonio was also an amazing waiter who consistently made us laugh and made sure we were enjoying our food and time at the restaurant.

Overall, very friendly staff. Room was clean - but we couldn't get the air conditioner to warm up at all. Good selection of food. Good variety of activities for younger kids. One word of caution - make sure that someone in your party has some Spanish speaking skills - most employees in this resort speak primarily Spanish - which is to be expected...so don't plan on relying only on English!

Felix is our favorite server. He takes wonderful care of us, and we have enjoyed getting to know him. He is very helpful, so he is our go-to person when we have questions! It’s a great feeling to see a familiar face from over the years! We can tell that other members feel the same way we do about Felix. We will miss him!
