The hotel was nice and the area is great to walk around and enjoy local food and drink. Its a good change of pace from the hotel zone. If you are black/American the security will let you know you are not welcome. Got harrassed every time I walked in. They gave me dirty looks and frequently questioned if I was staying at the hotel. African Americans please book another hotel. Mexican people are awesome, just not the security at this place! I have been to Mexico before and stayed at other hotels, I only had this type of experience here.

Was really looking forward to staying here, howeverIam a bit disappointed. Room is very nice and is huge. Bathroom not very clean and sink is cracked. Reception staff were not friendly. I appreciate I am in Mexico but most staff have very poor English so unless you speak Spanish you may want to avoid this hotel. I am sure the Oasis group will post the generic response the post on most reviews. Would be nice if they addressed the areas of concern rather than sweep over them.

Stayed at this resort through a quick cheap Sunwing package. FIRST thing to note is that they will charge you 900pesos or $50USD as soon as you check in for a tourism and environmental tax. I did look closer into the Sunwing fine print and found that disclosure but it was not very forthcoming. So make sure you have that ready- also maybe this is normal but this is the first time I have stayed in a resort in Mexico so I can’t say. I have no problem paying the tax to maintain the beautiful environment we are visiting but I was caught off guard. SECOND, this resort is at the perfect location for the type of trip we were interested in. It is within walking distance of a Chedraui supermarket (good for groceries, toiletries, apparel, pharmacy etc), a 24hr Pharmacy, Money exchanges, OXXO convenience store, bus stations, 20min walk to Walmart Express (I recommend Chedraui instead), a McDonald’s, the Plaza of Americas (shopping mall and food court), Mercado 28 (skip if you ask me) AND I highly recommend visiting the Parque de les Palapas for cheap street food and evening atmosphere! Ride the R1 or R2 bus for 12pesos a person for 10-15minutes to get to the hotel strip and beaches. So location is 10/10 actually 100/10. It is THE perfect place to visit cancun. I highly recommend the breakfast package. We found it fresh, tasty and plentiful. You can’t start your day any better than with a bright breakfast like this. It does get busy for bouts and I often had to wait to be seated 5-10minutes but never longer. The staff was great no issues there. Everyone was pleasant and accommodating. That being said DO NOT purchase excursions through the concierge. They are extremely overpriced. She quoted us 140USD PER PERSON for a Chichen Itza (cenote, Valladolid) bus tour- we the exact same tour from J&C tours up the street for $50 USD each. Air conditioning worked great in the room- so did the elevators and key cards and Minifridge SO NOW THE NEGATIVES: Our room had bugs. We noticed on the first night a couple little roach like bugs. We didn’t sweat it as they seemed harmless and it is very difficult to keep spaces bug free in hot humid countries. Then we started to see them more. They seemed to be coming from the credenza under the TV. If you have been quiet for a while with little light and get up you can see them all skitter away. They were ALL over the cups spoons coffee machine- DO NOT USE! We slept with the lights on and one eye open for most of the trip. Thankfully we never saw one on the bed or I would have been out of there. In my opinion there is a infestation in that drawer thing- this wasn’t a negligible amount of bugs. I cannot speak if any of the other rooms had this issue or if it was a standalone problem. I also wasn’t impressed with the laundering and sheets and pillows. Many times I saw stains and marks on the “freshly changed” sheets that I had to will myself to ignore because we are in paradise. Housekeeping is also stingy with towels and water. If they see any water in your room while they make the change they will NOT leave you your 3 water bottle ration. Do not be afraid to ask reception for water if they skip your room. Pool area was nothing to write home about. I went in it literally once- the water was quite cold, and the chairs and solo tubs were pretty dirty. It was much more worth it to pack a backpack and catch the bus to the beach. All in all I really want to love this hotel. The location location location, amenities, staff and breakfast are everything I wanted and more in my Cancún adventure. But I remember how uncomfortable I felt trying to sleep with the lights on in questionable sheets getting up to check the bed for bugs every couple of hours and it makes me question if I would ever go back. EDIT: Just saw another review from shortly after my stay citing roach infestation

Very nice hotel in a great spot just off the center of Cancun city. Although it isn't a new hotel everything is done to make your stay most comfortable and enjoyable as possible 😀 The facilities, swimming pool and gym are perfect and a top variety breakfast is available from 7-11+. Not to foget the most friendly, professional and helpful staff. Especially Mr. David Cruz, the Oasis Plus's supervisor 🥇 THANK YOU 🙏🌹

Nice room in a nice area. Worst service ever. You basically have to beg to pay for anything. The employees are extremely reluctant to help the guests in any way. Want a drink by the pool? Good luck. The 'bartender' has never poured a drink in thier life.. You're on your own here.

Good and friendly staff. Breakfast below average. Pool area is the best part, amazing area. Room is not that great, several faults with balcony door can hardly be opened, bathroom door getting jammed, old furniture not maintained. Lobby is pretty boring and gives me no interest. The gym has only treadmills, two machines and a few weights. I expected more, however I had a good time, not to mention location is very central. Thank you

Booked this hotel - and moved into cheaper older hotel next door. Be aware this brand is untrustworthy and ask for confirmation of room before you check in. Don’t go by booking site pictures. Service poor from the team and rude senior staff who argue with you. Housekeeping not done and never explained policy when checking. Overall poor check in experience with no amenities communicated. Shower not working in my room. Safe buttons half not working. Furniture is dirty and bedding does not fit bed. Dirty old 3 star hotel - this is not a standard 4 star. Breakfast is average at best for a 3 start hotel and limited in options.

The pool area was the best part of this place and was actually pretty sweet. The staff were nice and the room was on par for what you pay for. I'd skip the hotel food and go out. Lots of fantastic food options in the area.

I was super impressed by this hotel! Service is impeccable and the rooms were clean with everything you would need. Location is amazing, so many places to eat around and it's very easy to catch a bus to the beach

Excellent service by Javier, Filemon, Erick and Sergio and the rest of the staff here. Some of the best drinks I've ever had. Facilities were clean and professional. Atmosphere and music were fantastic. Breakfast was amazing, the onsite restaurant and bars were top tier.

We stayed here the night that we arrived to the area for our honeymoon and it was a great place to stay! The staff were very helpful and hospitable and the room was nice and comfortable. We loved the breakfast that was included. There were so many great options and the staff were so helpful! The staff was also on top of COVID protocols which was great to experience after not traveling for a couple of years. I would definitely stay here again.

We checked in with no issue, front desk staff are helpful enough to talk to, but there’s such a lack of follow up on the words they say to you. Everything takes a long time, e.g. coming to your room to sort an issue that should have been caught when inspecting the room between guests; dysfunctional AC, safe not ready to be used and needs universal code to be opened etc. - Both of which was the case for us. We had to try several times because it took too long and we had stuff to do and couldn’t sit around for an hour and wait in our room. The guy who was sent to fix the AC didn’t end up fixing it, the thermometer was obviously broken as all it could do was blow out cold air, so it was basically a fan - Which we learned the hard way - We went straight to bed and woke up a little later absolutely shivering. The thing is the bedding doesn’t include a just basic duvet - The duvet is literally just another sheet (?) when my partner requested a proper duvet, she was told they didn’t have any (?!?!) so I went down and insisted we be given one until they could fix the AC and then they magically had them - Only one though. The cleaning staff changed bedding but didn’t change used utensils, the shower and furniture was in somewhat of a state of disrepair. Breakfast buffet was a lackluster experience. I don’t expect gourmet and the food was perfectly edible but the experience was abysmal. Get this, there is no self service on the coffee 😑 You have to wait for one of two serves who takes a round every so often and it’s sloooow - It’s like they completely lost the plot on what a breakfast is for, for most people. I checked out today and wanted to eat two pieces of toast and have a cup of coffee and be on my way - I took half an hour, 20 of which was waiting for someone to give me coffee - This is to the hotel: Why? What are you gaining by doing this, I heard numerous people complain about it - I can eat scrambled eggs and ham until I’m blue in the face but you choose coffee as a cost cutting maneuver? it’s such a poor decision. I put in a complaint about the floor manager of the buffet upon leaving, he was this rude little man with a piss poor attitude, who came over to me twice every morning to point out little indiscretions I’ve made such as sitting down where there wasn’t cutlery laid out yet, leaving the eating area to get my girlfriend and coming back… You’re not in a position of authority, get another job dude, you’re supposed to make it a relaxing nice place to eat - I had a name for him that is reminiscent of that “No soup for you!” Episode on Seinfeld 😂 Bar is fine for drinks but you’re not getting points for that because I pay for them so they should be - What is not fine is volume on the music, by god what is with the racket? Odd little rules everywhere, this bar closes at 6:30 then this one opens for a couple hours yaddi yadda - I come to relax, this isn’t a relaxing atmosphere at all. Won’t be returning or recommending, not happy.

We’ve stayed here twice, and both times have met our expectations. Lovely hotel and great service. Good location but definitely not busy and loud The only downside this time was the breakfast options have reduced, but I assume it’s because of Covid.

I stayed here during the very first day they opened after renovations! Workers were still doing a few things, but it felt amazing to see a fresh look! You can definitely see the potential of this place once it is full! On my 2nd day it started filling up and the vibe was even better. The pool area is friggin' SPECTACULAR! Beer is affordable, breakfast was lovely! Staff is just the best. Super kind, helpful and honest!

DO NOT STAY HERE. Dirty rooms, blood on sheets, completely different from images. Can't get my head around how this has 4+ stars. We stayed for one night after landing from a long flight to Cancun. We had booked a double room in the Oh! Hotel, however we were given a room with two beds in the 'Smart' hotel adjoining to Oh! We phoned reception to tell them about the mistake, but they didn't offer to move us to the correct room we'd booked. We were so tired we settled for the fact we would sleep in separate beds for the night. HOWEVER, once I pulled back the sheets I was disgusted to find blood on them! We shared one of the beds in the room which was thankfully clean, and I let the reception know upon check out. They asked me to fill out a form but we were in a rush so they said I could submit my complaint online. Its been 5 days and I've heard nothing in response from the Oh! Hotel. Aside from the unclean bedsheets, the room is extremely tired - very old and damaged furniture, and a shower which sprays in all directions completely flooding the bathroom. It looks absolutely nothing like the images you see here. The location is walking distance to Cancun bars and restaurants. The breakfast was pretty bad the following morning. I have never experienced this at a hotel in my life and it was a terrible start to our holiday. I would absolutely never stay there again.

This hotel has everything you might need. Centrally located, friendly staff, beautiful pool area, parking. Comfortable rooms, excellent and delicious breakfast. Will continue staying here, it's home away from home.

Till now, really good value for money! Great location, just next to R1 or R2 to hotel area. Great room and everything clean, we can see it has sone years but everything is quality build. Good breakfast and even better outside area with awesome pool, exterior beds and jacuzzi. The exterior bar has even better prices and the staff is great.

We booked this hotel in between our Isla trip and I’m glad we chose this one. The staff upon arrival were nice, room was great and spacious, pool area is ok and breakfast was good! The hotel is located across great local restaurants and little markets. It’s not your super fancy hotel but not run down either. Oh and the cafe was delicious

Very nice, clean hotel. Good buffet breakfast included. Nice amenities. Raquel at the front desk was very lovely and helpful. The rooms weren't very soundproof, you could here the noise from people in the hallway.

In the heart of Cancun and yes it is an oasis - exceptional check-in experience. The rooms are quite nice and quick comfortable. There are a few amenities in the hotel, but it is nearby everything large, grocery stores, malls, and many many restaurants all different varieties. The pool area is absolutely stunning as we attended it for six days and we were never disappointed. It is so well staffed and guarded. I can’t say enough about this property. We will certainly be back.

Beautiful. Great breakfast. Pool is a little chilly. Front desk isn’t the most informative about things but it is super clean and a convenient location. I would definitely recommend

You have deleted my Google review of your hotel but I will continue to post it until someone gets in contact with me. Grand Oasis Urban poisoned my sister and I. We have medical evidence and certificates. We got food poisoning from your breakfast buffet. We requested a doctor and waited an hour to which you cancelled on us. This led us to check out early and go to the hospital ourselves. You have not refunded me the costs of our early checkout. I demand a refund immediately.

Here's the beef. I was in Cancun to get some dental work done at the Dentistar (awesome place) dental clinic literally across the street from the hotel. My review is as follows: Room 7/10. There were some deficiencies in the room. Broken light, sliding door not closing all the way and ants. I've reported them and those were addressed quickly. While the light seemed fixed at first it went back to flickering state later. Overall the room was really nice. I loved the cool tiles and ice cold a/c. Facilities 8/10. I'd give 10/10 but the hotel is a bit past its prime. I'm no luxury hawk so having a nice pool with caban is all I could ask for. Service 8/10. If you like people kissing your ______. Do us a favor and stay home. I'd rather real people do their job like they suppose to as opposed to fake nice who'll spit in your soup. Wifi 10/10. Food 10/10. I had the breakfast included package and it was really good. Hmmm what else? Overall solid 8. I wish I could've stayed longer but as the say "all good things must come to an end". I'd definately recommend this place to anyone visiting Cancun. Cheers

Good Hotel, Great Staff in the bar and at the pool. Rooms ok, difficult to understand AC, shower and bathtub a bit mediocre. Ok Breakfast. Pool area by far the best place, no noice from the Main Street just outside, good sun coverage, cheap drinks in the bar.

Our stay was great in this gotel, very nice swimming pool and jacuzzi. Very helpful and pleasant staff. Especially Yvan the chef at the restaurant "Bites" who was super nice! I recommend this hotel for the value for money :)

Service from front desk, security, lifeguards and housekeeping was top notch, very friendly, attentive. The staff was constantly cleaning against against Covid. The restaurant staff,Kenia,Wrick,Antonio and Jose were the ABSOLUTE BEST. I look forward to coming back to this gem of Cancun again and again. David Derrick .

We went to this hotel on arrival at night in Cancun. We were greeted nicely and somebody showed us our room and helped us with the luggage. At this point, we didn't realized it yet, but the beds are the best beds we would have on our entire trip in Mexico. This hotel gets a 5/5 for bed. The bed is comfortable and they have 2 kinds of pillows (hard and soft one). Overall finish of the room is average, this would be a 3/5. It is quite dated and could use an upgrade. However, we noticed later on that in other hotels this was the same. European hotels are finished with a higher level of quality. Also, the room had a shower curtain, something we do not really like. Showers are big enough so you won't be touched by this wet friend. :). Breakfast is average, but okay fbecause it was included in the room rate. During our first night, we didn't used any of the hotel facilities. Guards are very friendly and helpful. Wi-Fi depends on location of the hotel if it is good or not. Location is good; several ATM's and a supermarket (Chedraui) nearby and no noise at night. So, at the end of our trip. We visited this hotel again, because we were happy with the stay and wanted a comfortable night rest the night before we left. This time, we used the facilities. Swimming pool is very nice and cold. They have plenty of sun beds to choose from (also if you go later in the morning). Drinks are cheap (80 pesos for a cocktail), but unfortunately, they didn’t have all the drinks (they ran out of a lot of beers) that Sunday. I don’t know if this happens regularly, but we noticed it and we went to the supermarket to get our drinks instead. Also, they could give you a lot of information about leaving the country, but some of this information was incorrect (outdated / misinformation?). Overall, we will give this hotel a positive remark, but with a side note.

This hotel is just about ok due to the location and communal areas such as the pool. The hotel has a mould problem and some of the rooms aren't finished. We had to swap rooms three times because of issues with the mould. The staff were lovely though, it's just a shame we didn't feel totally comfortable there.

It's a decent place. Nothing stands out in either good or bad. It's stock standard and precisely what you'd expect at this price point. The service however, is good and the pool deck is a highlight. The lift does NOT go all the way to 7th floor. I was on 7th. On the Smart side of the building.

Was just there this past weekend….. Review is as follows….amounts will be in American money not pesos. Taxi from Airport $90. (One way) Taxi from hotel to Coco bongo area $20 (one way). Hotel is nice but is far from everything. It usually takes 15/20 minutes to get anywhere by taxi. But day time traffic starts around 4pm. Then it’s 30 to 45 minutes to get “hotel zone” Hotel staff was nice. There’s a 2$ daily environmental charge.. morning breakfast was ok. Food selection is ok. Prices are fair for the food and drinks. There’s construction/ painting on the 3rd floor so that was kind of annoying to hear throughout the day. The pools are nice but the vibes are not there. This place is probably for a more relaxing setting to just be there. IMO. You’re only allowed to take a certain taxi. There’s someone at the front door 24/7. So you have to wait for taxi that they call. Cannot ride a taxi that happens to drive by. Maybe there’s a reason for that but they didn’t give me one when i asked. Shower had no pressure. Restrooms are fairly small. Beds are ok. The lighting in the room was terrible. All tv stations are in Spanish. No smart tv to watch Netflix or anything like that. Also paid $96/night. Saturday through Wednesday. If you’re looking for a relaxed boring place to be then this is it.
