I'll share my honest experience with the resort. The naming system for employees is odd, as their names change daily. The rooms are fantastic, complete with a well-stocked bar and a regularly filled fridge, perfect for post-drinking needs. The pool bar, with its friendly staff, stands out positively. However, the poolside activity staff employees lack politeness. Expect delays and less pleasant service outside the pool area. The food is universally criticized, and there's a peculiar smell throughout the resort. Disappointingly, the pool closes at 6, limiting evening enjoyment. If you're keen on poolside drinks, it's a good choice; otherwise, consider elsewhere for a friendlier staff and better overall experience. Additionally, exercise caution outside the resort, particularly when alone in the surrounding area.

I would only recommend staying here to my enemies. If you’re staying there for more than 2 days, prepare to starve because the food served is inedible. Think of 7-eleven food that is served on white table cloth. The different restaurants are a joke since the buffet serves all the food from the restaurants, and it’s all so trash you can’t escape it. The cheap perfume smell in the lobby is so horrid it will give you a headache and nauseous, and will linger on all your clothes and hair. They have a scam of pick up/drop off at the airport that they outsource to creeps. We arranged for pick up time, they changed the time without telling us, and then told us to pay for a taxi for $400 pesos. Not only that, but I used my credit card to pay at arrival, and my debt at the Global Exchange counter, and a different credit card at the gift shop, and when I got back home, all 3 cards had fraud attempts on them and I had to close them. Seriously, book somewhere else if you want to enjoy your vacation. The beach towels were dirty with stains, the blankets were rough scratchy wool, and the shower drains and toilets clogged constantly.

My wife and I visited Las Americas with the hopes of getting away somewhere nice. We arrived and the entryway was dark and dreary, and the staff seemed too busy to accomodate us in a timely manner. The room definitely had a humid feel to it, and getting the thermostat to a comfortable setting took the entirety of the trip. They utilize a card system to turn off the power when you aren't in the room, so you can't easily charge you laptop or tablet while away. The pool deck thankfully was nice, but the service rarely came around with drinks and the coverage for the sun was difficult to use. The food at the cafeteria was standard fare, but I will give them credit for the fish which was actually delicious. The shows they have at night are quite nice, but be careful for the floors in the auditorium are SLICK. If I came back to Cancun, I probably wouldn't come back to Las Americas. For the price, I was hoping for more amenities or something more to do that was included.

The front desk check in process was so chaotic as we were checking in with a large group. No one at the desk knew what they were doing and they put us all in our wrong rooms from what we had reserved. I was overcharged and have been trying to receive reimbursement for weeks and now the front desk office is ignoring my messages. The resort is beautiful and the wait staff are very friendly and attentive, but I would not recommend because of the front desk. I am sharing my review here in the hopes they will finally address my issue I have emailed and called them several times about.

The hotel is very nice and clean. However the staff does not seem to have their act together. They told us to show up at 9 o’clock for a Covid test and they didn’t even show up until about 910. The people given a test of us would have results within 30 minutes. It’s been five hours and we still don’t have results. The front desk says will get it sometime today. Not very confident consider flying out tomorrow. If you want to get your laundry done, don’t try it it is almost impossible to have it picked up and then get returns a whole different story.

Amazing place to stay, all the staff was extremely nice and respectful, English was spoken at least partially by everyone and the entire place was ran very professionally. We had room service unlimited drinks 3 pools and an amazing sandy clean beach to swim in. There are daily activities poolside and and night at the theater. I was honestly quite nervous to visit Mexico for vacation but this felt like a 5 star hotel in America. The food is hit or miss for me at the restaurants as I'm sure it is for most people at most places but the buffet always had good food somewhere if the restaurant that night wasn't my taste.

Incredible! The staff was very attentive. There were many restaurants at the resort to choose from with no reservations necessary, it’s all on a first come first serve basis. The buffet had delicious food and tons of options. Even the 24hr lounge had fresh food. Adult only All inclusive is the way to go! The drinks were strong and bottomless. Our room was upgraded to a suite without asking Honeymoon)! It was very clean and fully stocked. We were on the party side. The music was loud probably up until 12am but we were totally fine with that. If you’re thinking about it, Just do it! You will not regret it.

Location is perfect, you have stores, pharmacy, water activities, ferry, nightclubs, etc around the corner, within 5 minutes walking distance for some of these places. The service is top notch, staff was great, friendly and very professional. The resort has anything you can need. So you could basically spend your days without leaving the resort and you could still have a good time. The hotel itself is a bit outdated but not a big deal. I loved it!

Highly recommend this adults only hotel!! We had the most amazing time and loved it. Food & drinks was incredible with so much variety and the service was exceptional!! Definitely a 5 star!! Staff were always so welcoming, smiling and happy to help. Everything was kept so clean too. I couldn't believe I walked from the foyer in bare feet all the way to the 3rd floor to my room and the soles of my feet were still clean! The three pools were all lovely with one of them having the entertainment during the day. We stayed mainly on the beach which was quieter and lovely but if we wanted some fun we knew exactly where to go. The entertainment at night was also good. There was a show every night around 8.45pm and music afterwards. My only niggle was the room. The size and sea view was amazing as well as the shower and bed, but it looked so dated with everything being dark oak and it felt so damp. Could have done with a dehumidifier!! The location is great. Beautiful beach and only a 10 minute walk to coco bongo and the other bars! I would definitely stay here again.

I would never go to this resort again. I just returned home from this resort and still can't shake the extremely poor customer service my friends and I received from the staff here. Multiple people I stayed with had their belongings stolen including myself. I would definitely be very careful with your belongings around the entire resort including in your rooms and safe with other guests and staff specifically cleaning staff. My friend had a bag with her ID, credit cards, medications and an irreplaceable family heirloom taken. My Apple Watch was taken from my safe by either cleaning staff or the new occupants and the front desk staff and security refused to even check for it when I could see where it was on the find my iPhone app. On top of that the resort was just below average. Food was mediocre. I was here with 7 girls and none of us would return. Stay with caution.

It was a nice place to stay but if you don’t drink alcohol or eat meat it’s not worth the money. I guess I had higher expectations and what really disappointed me was having a cold jacuzzi and a closed sauna due Covid reasons. Other than that it’s a nice place to have fun and relax.

My friend and I just arrived home from 4 blissful nights at this beautiful resort and had the most perfect time. As a foodie, I can honestly say that I had some of the very best food I have ever eaten in Mexico, here! The buffet was amazing and there was always so much choice and everything was always so fresh, well seasoned and so tasty. We tried the Mexican, Italian and Steakhouse restaurants and loved the option for part buffet, part served meals on offer in the Mexican and Italian. We also used the lobby coffee bar everyday and loved their offerings too. They made a great americano and iced coffee. Staff everywhere was SO beyond friendly. They work so hard and are always smiling and happy when interacting with clients. They truly make this property so special. Our room had a beautiful ocean view and it was magic! The room was immaculate and cleaned so well everyday. Beds were very comfy and we loved the nice, big bathroom towels. We had an issue with the a/c the first day and no outdoor chairs when we arrived, but both issues were dealt with so promptly. We couldn't ask for better. The beaches here are some of the very best I have ever seen and I have travelled all over the world. The sand and water was amazing and always lots of available chairs to sit in. I can't say enough about this beautiful property. We loved that it wasn't huge and that everything was so compact and easy to get to. The easy access from the airport was perfect for a shorter getaway. Needless to say, we can't wait to return and would highly recommend this awesome adults only resort!

The hotel was fine, the personnel was very good and accommodating. Standard a little bit tired rooms with an uncontrollable AC and light moldy smell - standard in this region. What I couldn’t understand is why they had to spray that terrible air scent in the main lobby?! It was an absolute torture for me as a person sensitive to scents. Why doesn’t the management provide scent free environment? There are people with allergies and just sensitive to scents. I had to run through the lobby holding my breath. The scent was so toxic that my clothes stink even after 3 laundries at the solid soil regime. I can’t wear them…The hotel would have gotten a much higher review if it was scent free. Also, there was a suspicious smell of sewage at the beach, especially strong in the afternoon. Some workers were pulling some pipes in the sea so I was also concerned that the water was contaminated with sewage waste. Don’t think i will be returning to the hotel, although the personnel was really nice.

If I could rate this place 100 out of 5, I would! From check in to check out, the vibes were fantastic. Everyone was kind. The food was great (ESPECIALLY The Black & White Steakhouse). We did Silent Disco and I had a blast. The resort staff were always smiling and ready to help. And being that it was my birthday, the resort staff made me feel very special. I told my boyfriend that any trip to Mexico would have to be through RP Las Americas!

The Riu entertainment staff made this trip so much fun. Carlos, Miguel and Carla were so much fun. They keep everyone involved and have so much energy. The food on the resort is fantastic especially at Kristal, the Italian theme restaurant and the Mexican restaurant. The buffet is large and items change daily. We were there in November which is usually rainy season but we're still able to spend the day at the beach. I would definitely go back.

Awesome resort! , right on the water, beautiful clean water, great staff, the food variety is great and the food taste wonderful, facilities are very clean, typical (firm) hotel beds, I just wish they open for dinner time before 6:30 I feel that is too late...... The only major thing i don't like is that the doors to the rooms are very loud when they close, they seriously need a seal dampen the sound, and noise because they can be heard 10 rooms down when they close. And you can hear all the noise in the hall, i almost Docked 1 star just for that, but it's hard to do when everything else is so good!..... I visited hotel RIU Cancun next door. No comparison!, The beach is a lot smaller and the beach and pools seemed much more crowded, the setting is more modern to where Las Americas has a lot more upscale feel... Las Americas adults only is the place to be. The ocean view rooms are a very clear ocean view.

Almost Perfect Hotel, nice small beach with lots of beach beds available, 2 swimming pools with great animation, as well good area to relax. Gym is quite big and well furnished. Food: Buffet Food in the main restaurant is good, much higher quality than most all inclusive offer you can find around the world, BUT food in the restaurants offering “A la Carte menu” is poor. Only the Mexican restaurant was more than acceptable, the rest tried to imitate world-wide cuisine by mixing different receipts in one, with low quality and sometimes no taste. I preferred eating at the buffet where food was much more tasty and of a better quality. (In most hotel is the opposite) Apart of that the hotel is excellent. Position is excellent too. And staff is very friendly and always available for anything you need. I hope they will improve those menu a la carte. Highly Recommended! A+

Initially I feel the hotel felt a little dated, but after the first night, the hotel was very comfortable and the employees are all very nice. There are probably only three minor things I felt can be changed. First, the towel cards, I think that should be removed and we should be able to take more than 1 towel to the beach. Second, there should be at least 1 restaurant open from 7 till night without closing (probably buffet). Sometimes people need has a schedule and won’t be able to wait until 6:30 for dinner or 12:30 for lunch. Third, there was a creepy painting of a lady without a face, haha we had to take it down cause it didn’t feel good staring at it while we sleep. But overall, I really enjoyed our stay.

On the 4 day of our 6 day stay they started a construction project on the floor above our room It went from 9am-5pm with no advance warning, they were as loud as H--l .. my wife got sick the same morning from something she ate or drank and was in the room trying to recover... the noise was horrendous and didn't allow her any quite time for rest... why they did t give us advance warning was nuts ..... Beach was fun and weather was great... Pablo helped us with moving to a higher floor after our 1st night but unfortunately it was in a construction zone.. Thank my you for your follow up. The front desk was very helpful and pointed me in the direction of a doc clinic which was able to help my wife they gave her medication and she was better the day after.. your team works very healed and the hotel is beautiful... the wait staff are professionals and the beach is always clean and well groomed Thank you again

I loved my stay here. About 35 minutes from the airport. It was located on the hotel strip, so other RIUs were close enough if I wanted to visit. The adults only specification made it very quiet and was just what I needed. There are plenty of places to eat without a wait, with the exception of one gourmet spot that seemed to have a waiting list almost every night. No reservations were required for any restaurants, and a snack bar was open during the day til midnight. Plenty of activities, 3 pools and the beach. Rooms were amazing, well kept, and comfy. Minibar in every room with free alcohol (if that is your thing). Highly recommend without reservation and will definitely return. Bring your own bag for the gift shop 😞..... room service actually served, and there is laundry available.

If you like to party between the ages of 30-60- this place is for you! We were drawn to the idea of an adult only all inclusive because we wanted to get away from kids. However, we found this hotel to be the loudest, most obnoxious all inclusive we've ever stayed in. However, if you LOVE to party with a middle age crowd, this place is for you. The room we stayed in (standard room) was aged and had a musty smell which is common with less updated resorts. It was clean and room service was excellent. Service in general was fantastic (we really felt for some of the staff dealing with some extremely obnoxious guests). Food was OK. Similar to other resorts, buffet had a lot of variety, but lacking in flavor. It also seemed like there were limited options if you have dietary restrictions. Best dinners were at the Steak house (meat was cooked perfectly) and fusion restaurant. There is not enough beach space. If you haven't designated your beach chair by 10am, you will need to wait until the later afternoon when everyone crowds to the party pool area. The area is extremely limited and if you want to go on a walk on the beach, you can only head in one direction (going south there is a barrier that requires you to swim around or walk out to the street and back). Overall, the experience for us was OK but if you are like us and like to have a good time, but don't want the big party scene, I'd stay away.

Excellent service! This was my first stay at an all-inclusive, and I really appreciated not having to worry or make a lot of decisions. The pools are beautiful. Everything is immaculately maintained. The restaurant choices are all wonderful. If you wanted, you could spend your entire vacation without ever leaving the resort. But I am so happy I took advantage of the hotels proximity to the Coral Flea market and a few other stores.

From the moment you walk in the beautiful lobby you are greeted then while waiting to check in you are served a drink of your choice the men and women at the front desk the entire time we were there were so nice friendly and accommodating, our room was perfect JR sweet sea view, THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT!!! If you can’t find something you like to eat here then you are a “picky eater” we often did the buffet because of the numerous choices for breakfast lunch and dinner but the restaurants are good too!!! Now the beach AMAZING!!! Blue clear water always a chair and the drink service on the beach was everything to us!!! I have one name of the most excellent service during our stay was WILLIAM!!! William there’s nobody like you and I have been a waitress for 42yrs you always knew what we were drinking your attentiveness was a 10!!! The pools are great but we’re beach people but loved if you want to party you go to the party pool you just want to chill and relax go to the middle pool, all in all it was my 60th birthday present from my husband just the 2 of us we met many people all different ages and had a blast, lastly the nightly shows were very entertaining!!! I’ve been to Cancun 18 times since 1982 and the Riu Palace Las America’s “adults only” is my favorite and we will be back!!! Thanks for an amazing stay!!! Amy & Robert Christensen

The service was excellent. The overall accommodations such as the various restaurants were about average. Beach location was better than some other properties along the water. True Beach front relaxing on sand. 3 pools to choose from the party pool has music and open bars till 6 pm. If you so choose you can go to one of the other two pools which do not have music playing and are overall better places for some people to relax if they are not interested in the loud music. The rooms were a decent size however the furniture is dated and should have been upgraded to some modern pieces. If you ask for a double bed you need to call and verify they are not pushed together unless you are comfortable sleeping 4 or more to a bed.

Very nice hotel. The service everywhere within the hotel is exceptional. They keep the place very clean. Every staff person we came in contact with was very friendly. The restaurants are pretty good. We particularly liked the Japanese and Mexican restaurants. They have shows and activities every day which is fun. The drinks are really good and they will make you whatever you want to drink. The beach is beautiful as well. Our room was cleaned every day, sometimes twice a day and fridge was restocked every morning. Also there are shops, pharmacies, massage places, and bars and nightclubs within walking distance. The only negative is my husband didn't like the bed because he doesn't like soft beds. Other than that, our experience was fantastic. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful hotel. Loved the room even though other reviews said it was outdated. Our view was city so that was a negative. Beds are 2 full size pushed together. Nice rainfall shower head but be careful because it gets scalding hot. Lots of storage in the room. All rooms have a sunken living room. You wear a wristband during your visit and get a towel card to turn in each time you want a towel. Beach is super small. The beautiful big pool in the center does not get much sun during the day. We spent all our time at the pool where the swim up bar is. Locals selling items along the beach daily but not really bothersome. Marines with machine guns strolling through pool deck and beach due to recent shootings at resorts related to drug cartels. Buffet had lots of selections. The food at the restaurants was so good. If you do not get seated when they open at 6 then you have to wait till about 7:30pm to eat since they restaurants are small. Loved my grouper at Krystal. The Japanese steakhouse service was slow.. appetizers were so big so after the entrees we were full,, dessert was taking forever so we left. Steakhouse and italian restaurant were really good,, we did not make it to the Mexican restaurant. Waiters were attentive at the pool. I used the gym daily but it was really small and had hardly any dumbells. Have to keep a mask on in the gym. I did daily stretch class and water aerobics and dancing. That was all fun. Alex the fitness instructor was good. The shows were mediocre and a little strange at times. They ended at 10:15pm and then there really was not anything to do other than drink so went to bed by 11pm. No dance club at this hotel. We really did not want to go off site due to recent violence. I am a big cruiser and this was my first all inclusive experience and I definitely would choose a cruise for the value, entertainment, activities.

Wow! This resort is awesome. The place is beautiful, and the food is wonderful especially the Japanese restaurant. But what really pushed it to greatness was the three tenors on Christmas Eve with the champagne toast. What a fun evening. This resort is so clean. And the staff are so professional and friendly. Please give Adrian and Paula a raise, The 9:30 entertainment was a little too provocative for me, maybe I’m just getting old, but other than that everything was just wonderful. No problems with the Covid testing either. Thank you again to the RIU staff you guys are doing a great job.

Best: -adult only -helpful, friendly staff throughout -good food with large variety, for everyone -beautiful private beach -lots of shady spots for redhead husband -comfy chairs in lounges and restaurants Good: -someone is always tidying up, sweeping floors -good cleaning staff -seaweed cleared regularly -they make an effort to reuse unused food in creative yummy breakfast dishes. I actually find that admirable as the result is yummy. Food waste is unnecessary. Needs work: -It could have better water pressure in shower -more non alcoholic caffeine free diet sodas. They only have Pepsi products. Only diet drink was diet Pepsi. So unless I want a lot of sugar, I can’t have a drink that isn’t caffeinated, messing up my sleep -desserts aside flan and chocolate are beautiful but tasteless -the headboard was fine in the beginning and then got so squeaky that even just get up to go to the restroom made it squeak, making for noisy sleep -A/C only cools to 21 celsius. Warmblooded friends beware. Bad: -the toilets are awful. They don’t spray water properly from the front of the bowl. They also have a push down button that if you don’t hold it down, it won’t flush right. Even when you do, unless you push the toilet paper down with the brush, you are stuck having to flush multiple times. Also, I hate when the toilet isn’t separate from the bathroom and you have to brush teeth or shower after someone goes number 2. -I had to request trash can liners. I was doing that for their sake. And they never refilled the sanitary bags. -spa prices are silly high MISCELLANEOUS: We enjoyed the Mexican show the hotel offered. We were mostly there to relax so didn’t engage in all the party activities. There is a sort of musty smell. However, that is just what a humid climate is like. Florida was the same, and we smelled it at the airport, so it is not the hotel. You stop smelling it after a couple of days.

First time trying an all inclusive and I won't be doing it again. The food was just not that good and I think you can get far better accommodations for the price. Cons: Rooms aren't that nice, very dated Food was average The lobby smell is awful, too perfumed A repair man came into our room when we had not requested and had the do not disturb sign up Pros: Waiters at the pools and beach are awesome, kind, and fast The beach and pools are awesome The entertainment is a fun touch The one highlight of the food was the lunch BBQ they did on Wednesday and Saturday by the pool

My partner and I had a great time at this place. The staff is really friendly, always asking if you need something. The hotel is nice and offers many services such as party and activities. Our room was at the eighth floor and the view incredible. However the shower is not the best. The food in the restaurants is good but the food at the buffet is not a high quality. Adult only is a 10/10. The hotel is located at 5-8 minutes walk to the bars and clubs which is good when you want to have fun at night. The hotel proposed shows every night. We recommended this resort.

I recently stayed at RIU palace las americas in Cancun and unfortunately had a bad experience. I should have paid more attention to the negative feedbacks about the hotel before booking. First of all, the hotel is not a 4 star hotel to me! The attached pictures can confirm that. The AC unit was so loud and inefficient and wasn’t able to cool down the room enough. Rooms weren’t clean enough and signs of water leaks were visible on the ceiling. One of the bathroom sinks was clogged. Furnitures were old and fainted. Staff at the front desk wasn’t accommodating and didn’t know what a good customer service is. Sebastian at the front desk was pretty rude dismissive and unprofessional. We asked to see his supervisor/boss and he avoided it by saying that he was the supervisor. One of our friends had a family emergency and had to check out earlier than expected and the hotel charged us a full amount for replacing that person with another friend. In other words, the hotel didn’t allow us to put someone else in the room (instead of the one who had already paid in full and had to leave early) without paying the full cost of one person. One of the staff at the front desk was sick and was working with a mask on and was still dealing with customers. We got super sick with flu symptoms the last day we were there. The hotel doesn’t seem to follow the necessary health protocols. The food is meh and the drinks are very cheap and watered down significantly. If you care about good customer service, your health and are not willing to pay unethical fees avoid the hotel. I won’t go back there again.

Rooms were moldy, and got sick from it. Staff were nice but didn't go the extra mile. We would have to flag down waiters to get another drink or food item. Food was pretty bad in restaurants very plain and old except for Italian restaurant. Buffet was good. Location and beach very good. Activities and fun were all ok. Don't venture off to near by island unless you like to be pestered by locals. Very annoying?

I recently stayed at this hotel with a group of friends, anticipating a weekend filled with good times and memorable experiences. While the hotel boasts an impressive pool and delightful culinary offerings, my overall stay was unfortunately marred by a series of inconveniences, particularly concerning the representation of our room and a disappointing encounter with a staff member. Let's start with the positives. The hotel's pool provided a refreshing escape, and the food was undoubtedly a highlight, showcasing the culinary expertise of the kitchen staff. Most of the hotel's team members were genuinely friendly, contributing positively to our stay. However, the initial impressions of our room were less than ideal. The lack of a proper introduction, including information on what number to dial for each department and how to connect to the WiFi (which required a username and password), set a somewhat frustrating tone for the stay. Despite reporting these issues promptly, resolutions were elusive. Our room lacked a towel set, and the only available towel exhibited a noticeable stain, highlighting a need for more attention to detail in the preparation of guest rooms. Moreover, our room presented additional challenges. The air conditioner was inefficient, requiring persistent follow-up and the intervention of a technician to address the issue. The door emitted an annoying squeak with every use, and the room featured only two power outlets, one of which was in the non-functional bathroom. These issues significantly impacted our comfort and convenience during the stay. A particularly disheartening incident involved an individual named Sebastian, who claimed to be a front desk manager. Our intention in choosing Riu Las Americas was to enjoy quality time with friends, but Sebastian's disrespectful attitude and lack of effort to provide resolutions were disappointing. This encounter stood in stark contrast to the friendly demeanor of most other staff members. Also, I must express my concern regarding the health and safety practices observed during our visit. My wife got hospitalized, and three of my friends fell ill after returning home. We noticed that some of the servers, front desk personnel, and chefs were visibly unwell, wearing masks while handling food and dirty dishes. I believe it’s crucial for staff members to stay home and rest when sick to prevent the spread of illness, especially in areas involving food preparation. Addressing this aspect would contribute significantly to the overall well-being and satisfaction of guests. In sharing this feedback, my aim is not to diminish the positive aspects of the hotel but to highlight areas for improvement. With attention to customer service, transparency, and efficient problem resolution, this hotel has the potential to offer an exceptional experience for all guests. I sincerely hope that this feedback is received constructively, and that future guests can enjoy a more seamless and enjoyable stay at

AMAZING! My wife and I came for our Honeymoon and we’re already looking at our next trip here. Amazing resort, rooms, staff, views and the food!! The food is amazing. The staff even left us a small gift in our room since they knew we just got married! Come to this resort, you’ll have an amazing time. It’s worth every dollar spent.

It was my first time traveling to Mexico (we took a girls trip 😍 Two Black American females Alone) we stayed for 5 nights , and with the news in America I had my doubts about going , but safe to say this was an AMAZING experience. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else when traveling to Mexico . I highly recommend, from the views , to the clean beaches & the amazing food ! We didn’t want to leave ! I felt safe , the staff was super friendly & the drinks were just right ! I also got to connect and make some great new friends ! Thank RIU for this amazing experience!

What an incredible place. I can't imagine how can someone have a negative experience in this hotel. I am a frequent traveller who has been in many countries and stayed in a high number of hotels however this hotel is the best we've ever stayed. The hotel is so beautiful, clean and its architecture is just stunning. All staff members are amazing and hardworking. We're not Americans so we don't splash dollars right and left however we still found every staff member being incredibly friendly. Not for a moment I felt less appreciated if I didn't leave a tip. The breakfast buffet is the best I've ever seen. So many options, can't imagine anyone not finding something to eat. Mimosas just kept coming too! Restaurants on site were so good! Still remember those lovely dinners we had. Again, don't know how can someone complain about the food. So many people complain about getting sick - not for a second I felt poorly despite of having sensitive stomach. However, given the amount of alcohol I saw people drinking no wonder why they feel poorly! It was such a shame to see such a beautiful place filled with drunk misbehaving adults. One evening, we witnessed 2 drunk women fighting over a man, another evening there was another drunk woman showing middle finger to a bartender because she didn't like her drink. Therefore , the only problem the hotel has is Americans who don't know how to drink and behave. The hotel is amazing and I highly recommend it to everyone who knows what good quality means. We didn't find any single thing to complain about and I personally think those complainers are just unhappy people in general.

This is a 5 star hotel. It's on the beach and has great views upon arriving our rooms were not ready. The hotel upgraded my room to a suite which was enormous! It had a living room and a family room in addition to the large bedroom. It had a huge walk in closet too. The bathroom was large and had another adjoining room for the toilet and bidet. The shower was about 8 feet long, truly amazing. There were 4 bottles of liquor with built in dispensers hanging upside down in a built in wall cabinet. I had a balcony overlooking one of the 2 swimming pools and an ocean view. There are MANY restaurants serving different types of food. Japanese, Italian, American, and Mexican to name a few. You are waited on continuously. All the alcohol and food that you can consume are free in this all inclusive hotel. It is a beautiful building with am old world type of architecture. Very pretty. Next door is another RIO hotel that's kid friendly and had a completely different feel. Lots of stainless steel and modern architecture. This RIO is adults only. You get a wrist band to show you belong. Don't lose it as that will cost you hundred of dollars. The other rooms were probably not as nice but we good too. There is local shopping across the street and I felt very safe. In and around the hotel, most people spoke english.

This resort was honestly even nicer in person. I loved the pools looking over the beach. The location was very convenient and close to everything. Breakfast was amazing but lunch and dinner could be better. I wanna acknowledge Emilio from the pool staff. We met him on our first day and he made an effort to make a personal connection with us. I noticed other staff were nice but none that cared to get to know the guests or go out of their way to do anything. They were just there to get their job done and some didn’t even care to smile or go to that next step to help us. Emilio was very different from the rest, he would always greet us whenever he saw us and helped us with any questions we had. Just an amazing fellow. He genuinely cared about the guests and their needs. I hope the hotel recognizes this fellow and his hard work. I hope to see him again on our next visit because his service was amazing and we will remember him always from this visit.

The hotel room was clean and stocked upon arrival. The common areas are aesthetically pleasing. The hotel has two pools both of which are clean and fun. Staff was great and there was a lot of live entertainment hosted by this hotel! It is also right by the ocean, which was a plus! The servers there are the best servers you will ever meet. What ever you want, they will get for u! Victor especially was an amazing waiter!

I did lots of researching of resorts prior to this trip and we had a wonderful stay here! Everything was extremely clean, service was wonderful and friendly, food was delicious, and the drinks were tasty! Great location in Cancun and loved that this resort is adults only. I think it is worth it to pay a little more for that experience. We loved the beach, as well as the three pools at the resort. I would definitely stay here again!

This was an amazing all inclusive. The staff are so nice and literally everything is taken care of. Everything was very clean and very organized. Because it is adult only it isn’t too loud and is genuinely relaxing. There are activities throughout the day so you really wouldn’t have to leave if you didn’t want to. They have certified (safe) travel agencies available on site if you want to organize an outing. And of course the food was amazing. Also please bring some pesos to tip the staff with (it’s definitely not mandatory and the hotel nor the staff will even ask for tips) but everyone is truly amazing and it’s good to give them something

Hotel was awesome. I love the activities during the day at the pool to keep guest entertained. The food was good but not great. Buffets no complaints but the steak house was not good and the Chinese food restaurant was ok. My favorite was the Italian restaurant. Only thing I didn’t like the person who does the transportation back to the airport wasn’t there so no one else at the front desk knew what to do so we had to pay for a taxi. There has to be better communication with the transportation. I saw a review that a person was provided transportation from the airport to the hotel but when we called they said no so we ended up paying for both of our transportation to get to the hotel and back to the airport. Surprisingly I always love hotel beds but this one was ok my back ended up hurting towards the end of our trip bed wasn’t comfortable and the pillows can be better. Staff was unbelievable very friendly and always warm welcoming. I would come back to this hotel and recommend it but definitely the transportation needs to be better or atleast have everyone on the same page.

We absolutely loved the resort!! The staff was unbelievably hospitable and friendly. Juan, the drink runner at the pool was so awesome! Don’t be fooled by some of the comments below about the food, it was great. The buffet was LOADED with great food. The Black and White restaurant had great steak and salmon. Oh did I mention that there’s drinks everywhere! My wife can’t stop talking about our stay, and is already try Wanting to book our next vacation there again. The rooms were perfect, clean, and big with oversized beds. Thank you for making our vacation worth it
