I loved this hotel in 2020, it was CLEAN and the staff was nice. The price was amazing, I paid $20 per night in 2020. Now I come back in 2022 and find the place is dirtier, things are not fixed or managed properly tile dirty in bathroom, desks dirty in bedroom, things that should be fixed are not fixed! Elevator has missing buttons with holes! RUDE staff! Yet the price has TRIPLED! How do you charge $65 for a hotel and have a place like this, it's actually shameful and people should be aware of what they are getting. I don't understand where the money is going considering in 2020 the property looked much better and staff was much more friendly. Now staff is rude and and the rooms are dirty! THIS HOTEL NEEDS LOWER PRICES OR RENOVATION, CHOOSE ONE. UNTIL THEN I WILL NOT COME BACK.

When I first saw the hotel online, I thought it was a best place to stay. The online advertising and pictures don’t match with the actual hotel physical location. I’m very honest my room was cleaned. There is no microwave, no ice machine, no pool, I have to pay for parking,. They charge you 200 pesos person for breakfast . After a certain time there’s no front desk. I would never recommend this hotel to nobody for vacation. If you’re in the city for working maybe because it’s affordable. Not for vacation.

My husband is french so we were excited to stay at an Ibis. What a let down. We had only needed to stay a few days and that was already too much. The room was pretty much empty. Not even a towel to dry our hands on. And it took us having to walk back down to the lobby to get some towels. We kept getting locked out of our room. Not fun to have to walk back down to the lobby when you have arms full of bags of groceries. We checked out a day early and never looked back.

Don’t go for this property. Very small room in big price. AC doesn’t work. Moreover staff is not accommodating. It’s unbelievable that a big chain like ibis will give us us room for 2 pax and staff told that this room is for 4 pax!!

We are in Cancun overnight to catch a flight out the next day. Our room, and hotel, are neat and tidy. A few rhings in our room are annoying. This is a hotel with no hand towels or wash cloths...just large bath towels. No operable windows...so the a/c hascto be on all the time. Rooms are small, making the a/c loud. I would only stay here as an overnight stop. Hotel is close to shopping.

The room is not cleaned well, the bathroom is the dirtiest, there are dried marks on the floor, no shower gel or shampoo, only hand soap. Towels don’t smell clean. Ac is loud, tv old, room is very small, windows cannot be opened so the room has a smell and there is no way to ventilate it. Generally not worth the money.

This place is very cheap. You will not get more than the basics. They have an ok breakfast and ok wifi. It is also next door to a Walmart and a great bakery. The staff could care less about your stay and it shows. Only the female staff at the reception desk tried to resolve issues and offer basic customer service. The male staff could not be bothered. The ballet staff was often away from their post taking a cigarette or coffee break. I would stay here again just because of the location and price. Would suggest better customer service from reception and ballet staff.

Dirty and old!!! Do not stay here! it is our first night and it is extremely disappointing already. Dirty washrooms, mirrors, bed mattress and floors! Mold in the ridiculously small shower!!! We even found a feet deodorant inside the mini fridge! DISGUSTING! The room smells bad in general. There is barely any Hand soap in the washroom. Noisy AC. Old and slow elevators! False advertisement the rooms are so so so small nothing like the expedia pictures where we did our booking. They advertise rooms with a view the view is trough a tiny dirty window….So sad to finally have vacations in Mexico and finding our stay in this disgusting conditions.

It's an ibis, so you know what you're getting. The location is excellent. Good value.

The location is not good you can walk to city center 35 min, the room was dirty there was an eaten cake in the room and the staff did not english. We were not expecting english in the coty center and tulum with local hotels but in ibis the staff should know english. In addition, they took higher amount then booking when we realized they correct it but if we did not see, they will just get the higher money.

I booked and prepaid a room for two nights with breakfast. The Accor App showed the booking as already paid. When arriving at the property after a long flight from Europe I've been told that it's not paid and I have to pay now in cash. The next morning we were denied breakfast. I then called the Accor hotline in Germany and they confirmed that the rate was including breakfast and sent an e-mail to the hotel. Then we've been granted the breakfast the second day. I did not recieve any reimbursement for the missed and paid breakfast the first day. Cannot recommend this property at all.

Locations impeccable. Service was great. Everything was clean and professionally done. Depending on which side you book on you're either going to get a beautiful sunrise or a gorgeous sunset. Would recommend 5/5

Actually it was a nice surprise for an ibis hotel. The rooms are almost the same all over the world but when you arrive at 11 PM I did not want to take a really expensive hotel so this one was nice. I only stayed two days before changing to an oceanfront but not much to complain. My first room had a non working a/c reception staff was very friendly and we changed the room. The view over to the Laguna was ok. They actually have a Walmart express within the building which is very very helpful.

The room itself was fine: pretty small, AC, blackout blinds and decent bed. However, I'd describe the overall experience as very SMOOTH. We reserved online but checked in the early am so I was concerned I'd lose my reservation (was not the case!). There is valet parking, shops nearby and luggage storage. It's an excellent affordable option to crash for a night without worries. Thanks!

The price is good. Rooms are starting to show some wear and tare. The remote for my t.v. was missing. The Walmart is very convenient though!

The Ibis in Cancún pretty provides you with a clean room that has a roof over your head, a bed, bathroom with shower and air conditioning. The room itself is not work or blog friendly. There is no desk or workstation to set up a computer. There is an option to pay for breakfast at the hotel. The breakfast is a buffet with a very basic selection of foods. The big advantage to this Ibis hotel is it is connected to a grocery store and coffee shop. This Ibis is also across the street from a mall. The front desk staff is friendly and I observed a number of people walking out with pets, which means it is pet friendly.

It is not a luxury hotel but has all the basic amenities. It is clean and staff are good! We had the package with breakfast when I booked through Accor membership. The breakfast though not a huge spread was tasty and pretty good. We were upgraded to a lagoon view room even though we didn’t book that (nice touch!). The best part here was the location. Everything was walkable and just a bus ride away. All the buses connecting different parts of Cancun from Las Americas. The walmart express is just beside. I will recommend this hotel if you looking to stay and explore downtown Cancun!

The airconditioning made me super sick. It need some maintenance or cleanings. The breakfast was good. The beds were okay. The sheets and pillow felt so polyester. I was sweating a lot.

If you like being given a room that already has people in it and sleeping in a dirty room, this is your place. Staff are poorly trained and the rooms feel like you are sleeping in a shoe box. The place is old and they have zero covid protocols for cleaning

Will book this hotel again. They advertise as being pet friendly, but once you’re there with your pet they tell you the dog has to be in a cage if we want to use the elevator. The staff was very rude and basically kick us out with our pet. Stop advertising as per friendly when you’re actually pet unfriendly.

very unprofessional disrespectful rude staff . Racist . The room was very nasty and smelly. bed sheets were dirty. Ac did not work and the rooms were extremely small with no windows to open. Very sketchy hotel I did not feel comfortable or safe here. The breakfast was awful and stale made me sick I got food poisoning. The hotel is just way to overly price for what you get.

You get what you pay for. Pros: Very conveniently located in Cancun Centro with lots of good restaurants around it. Cheap price if all you need is a place to crash at night. Feels safe and clean. Cons: Extremely small room and bathroom, A/C didn’t work well, bathtub required multiple attempts to flush, front desk staff not too helpful.
