This place is not as described, the photos online are from many years ago. I have uploaded photos of the current state. You will be lucky to get a pillow that isn't mouldy and possibly a bathroom that has been "cleaned". Bed sheets are dirty and discoloured, mosquitoes in the rooms as well. Sadly the property wouldn't offer any refund and the second room we were offered was just as bad so we left to stay elsewhere. The rooms we were offered are in a delapidated building across the street. Don't waste your time and money on this place, the recent good reviews don't make sense. I have been travelling on a budget for many years and this is the worst place I've ever come across.

Party every night till 02.50. Attentive staff and doorman to keep an eye. Didn't stay here so can't comment on accommodation.

After reading through tons of individual reviews (which we should have done in the first place but didn’t have time), it seems that since COVID this place may be under new management/ownership or something. Nothing else would explain the discrepancy between the lovely photos and glowing reviews from several years ago vs. the total dumpster fire we just encountered. Walked into our private room and discovered: - a powerful musty mildew smell - wood furniture covered in mold. Not just a few spots, I mean completely covered like old bread. Never seen that before, didn’t know it was possible actually. - towels and sheets covered in countless mystery stains - a dysfunctional air conditioner that sounded exactly like a video game machine gun sound effect - a mattress that was completely wrapped in grocery store plastic wrap. Also never seen that before. Our first thought was bedbugs, but now I’m thinking maybe it is related to the mold? - aaaand my personal favorite, the pièce de résistance, we pulled back the pillowcase to discover that the pillows themselves were completely covered in black mold! *chefs kiss* Needless to say, shortly after stepping into that little private box of hell we turned around and walked right back out again. Never to return, except maybe in nightmares.

Perfect way to ruin a vacation. Room smelled of smoke and mold, trash bags were full from last guest, toilet was clogged, bathroom light was out, and there was sand in the sheets. Lost my $124 and they said I had to stay at least 1 night, but I already had my ID back, so bump that. I ran as I recommend you do as well or you might join the 50+ IDs they have in their collection. FYI it's all "volunteer" labor. I understand the 18-24 old guys and gals wanting to do it for the experience of living in a party town, but they only get a free room and whatever you tip, so seems exploitative of them too.

TERRIBLE hostel, we have been travelling South and Central America for a long time now and have never been treated like this. We were totally scammed by them and they just blame hostel world and claim it's nothing to do with them. If you put your business on a website, you are responsible too. They didn't even try to make up for it or do the honorable thing and give us the rate we were expecting to pay or the lower walk in rate. We asked to cancel and again they didn't allow it even though it was clear we didn't want to be there and they now wouldn't want us there. Just do yourself a favour and don't book this hostel- you will pay a lot more than you ever expected and not even get decent quality for this price.

Go to some other place. Pros: Location, cheap prices at bar and good vibe. Cons: Very uncomfortable and bad quality beds. I felt like the bunk bed is gonna break and fall on top of the person who sleeps under me, the entire bunk structure moves if you move a little bit. I couldn't sleep at all. Some part of the room has light and some part doesn't, no ac even though you get ac in most hostels in Cancún. You cannot cook in this hostel and it costs same as the hostels where you can cook and get way better service & quality. The rooms lack fresh air. You smell the blend of Caribbean humidity and sweat of 16 dudes from different countries day n night. Conclusion: I couldn't sleep well. I would go to bar only but not a good place for sleeping. Look for the other options but not here.

I stay here every time I come to Cancun. It's in the perfect location, close to the Centro and the cheap local cocinas (kitchens), close to the bus to the beach, close to the supermercado, and close to mercado 28. It's also close to the other downtown hostels so there's lots of travelers in the area to meet. And the staff and volunteers here are super helpful and nice. Use Uber to get around, but be advised they won't pickup where there's lots of taxis so if for instance you go to Walmart you'll want to walk across the street to dairy Queen to get a pickup, otherwise the taxis sometimes beat them up because of the competition.

After staying here for one night I already knew enough! When we arrived we had to pay more than they said on hostelworld, first they said because their price changed, when we said we booked just an hour before arriving they said It was because of taxes (then the difference still didn't add up). Beside that they use unreasonable exchange rates when you want to pay in Dollars. Everything together, they wanted us to pay 10 dollars more than they advertise on hostelworld, for one night!! Room was sort of okay but the beds... they are wonky, noisy and creeks all the time.. they wrap the mattress in plastic so it makes you sweat like crazy and the sheets smelled like they haven't been washed in ages. I have been in a lot of hostels in the last 6 months but these sheets where the worst ones till now. Location was convenient close to a busstop that takes you to the hotel area and beaches. Close to the ADO bus station. So location is pretty good. If you book here check if they make you pay the right price!!

Nice hostel that I can recommend. The rooms are really clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I also really enjoyed the organized tour to the beach and was a great way to get to know other people. Unfortunately there is no kitchen but otherwise it is great. very close to the bus station.

The hostel accommodation and bar are separate places and the accommodation was ok. However I do not understand why they have air con in rooms at 30 degrees all night and they take remote away so can’t be changed. We spent the whole night sweating. Also the Friday night we was there a man on the bar was crazy rude and refused to serve us beer multiple times telling us the beer was on only for staff. Totally confusing. We were told by multiple members of other staff he is known to not be liked so hopefully this won’t affect the hostel in the future. Due to this and a few other fights that night on the premises we decided to cut our losses and leave early. However there was a volunteer called jonno there that was an absolute legend that totally saves that place. He was super helpful and informative and doing everything he could to keep guests happy.

Staff don't really know what they're doing. And not particularly clean or nice. Air con sometimes and had the price changed on my booking so had to pay more than expected.

If you want a trashy hostel where you do nothing all day and party all night, this is the place for you. You will not be able to sleep with the blaring music that goes on until 3am and beyond. The rooms are extremely basic and just about habitable. While the community vibe is cool, all the staff are volunteers and clearly untrained and clueless.

This was the worst hostel I've ever stayed at. We stayed in a double private and it was completely moist and moldy. And there was no atmosphere at all, since we were across the street of the "actual" hostel. We didn't feel welcome at all and we had the feeling they charged us too much. And the price is actually quite high. For just a little more you actually get a good hotel in Cancun, if you are lucky even less. Please do yourself a favour and don't go.

I only stayed there for 2 out of 7 nights. I got sick, probably from the mould that was all over the room. I had a “deluxe” room with an en-suite but it smelt awful even after multiple cleanings.

I really want to give them 5 stars but unfortunately the Bunk beds are Horrible Plastic underneath you so u sweat more and you can feel the Base of the metal underneath you I had Back pain for the hole 7 days and Air-conditioned could be better managed But Over all ok staff and location You get what you Pay for and I was in a 4 dorm room.

I had an incredible experience at this hostel! The staff was not only friendly but also incredibly beautiful, creating an amazing vibe. Even though I arrived alone, I felt welcomed from the start. The hostel has a lively atmosphere, perfect for those seeking a party scene; just be aware that loud music goes on until 3 am. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and highly recommend it to solo travelers looking to make new friends. Additionally, it's the most budget-friendly option conveniently close to the ADO Cancun airport bus terminal. I tried to find the most dangerous street to walk around but around the hostel was too safe ahhaga

The rooms were basic but clean. If you are looking for luxury you will be disappointed. But the real draw of this place is that it is quite social. It is run by volunteers from all over the world who are also looking to party and have fun. It's not like those commercial hostels which are run like hotels, in which people are just sitting around on their phones in the so called "community areas".

This hostel is above and beyond in how helpful and the environment they work to provide. I got locked out from an airbnb without nearly anything on me and they helped me get a charge and Check in and made me feel safe. The people there are lovely, and even though it has party vibes, it's far from the bar so it's quiet. It is a little uncomfortable, but just what you'd expect on the price and even then its clearly people trying hard to provide a really brilliant environment.

Booked 2 nights as our first stop on our Yucatán peninsula road trip as it was listed in the 2018 lonely planet, but were very disappointed. Owners must have changed since as it now seems to be a low quality party hostel with a focus on drinking tours and bar games. Crowd in the bar in the evening mostly young locals trying to get people hyped. Our room was very simple and with AC, but the beds were pretty bad (mattress basically collapsed in the middle), windows didn’t close properly and bathroom was quite old. All in all, would not recommend.

Terrible customer service! Lots of hidden charges that you will have to pay or you just get told to leave! Unhelpful staff, you can do better for the money you will pay here. If you have a problem here and need help you will be on your own!

I had to pay double for changing my reservation date (maybe blame on me but no flexibility). Although the rooms werent that good I had a very good time there. Mainly because of the nice people and Frederico (staff) who made my stay amazing. He gave me some great tips for Cancún and was helpful.

I was attacked in the bar of the hostel and then kicked out with my belongings, wallet cash and cards left at the hotel bar. When I returned my items had been stollen, staff assured me the police had been called and my attacker had been removed from the premises, said attacker then returned and proceeded to be served alcohol and attacked me a second time. Staff were very helpful up until this point!
