1st & foremost the staff all but 1 young lady in the steakhouse were excellent. They go above & beyond to make you feel comfortable. The spa staff was exceptional! That being said, the food is mediocre at best. The air conditioning in the main areas is NON-EXISTENT & the elevators were never in working order. 1-2 were always down. There are only 3 elevators for this massive resort which is ludicrous. The outside of the resort is impeccably kept. The beach is pretty but near impossible to swim due to the seaweed. I’ve seen other reviews & the resort will likely respond with the proverbial “we try.” I’m not sure where the 5 star reviews are coming from but this is not a state of the art facility by any means in its current condition. It could be but A LOT would need to be remedied for us to return.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! I’m honestly not sure how this resort got this many good reviews or why it’s considered a 5 star resort. I came here with a large group to celebrate a birthday and we are all extremely disappointed, sick, or itchy. Day 1 after we checked in we found that the water wasn’t working. I called the front desk and they said there’s maintenance on our side of the building and will be shut off for the next hour. Not sure why they didn’t let us know during check in but it would’ve been nice to know we shouldn’t use the toilets. There was also a pair of someone’s shoes that was left on the bathroom shelf which makes me think that the rooms are not properly cleaned between guests. 4 people got food poisoning. I don’t think I need to elaborate here. All except the Japanese restaurant were first come first serve so the wait time was always over an hour long. 3 people got weird rash outbreaks on their bodies. Not sure if it was from the bedding or water or whatever, but they looked to be similar rashes. Room keys never seemed to work, so we would constantly have to go back downstairs to get new ones programmed. On our last day, my friend (whose room was on the same floor and was passing our room) caught an employee in our room peeping inside our purse that was sitting on the table. He said he was there to change the bed lifts. No one notified us about the maintenance, but also it was on the last day just hours before we had to check out… why didn’t they wait until after? I notified the supervisor about the occurrence and he didn’t even know about the maintenance going on. I don’t know if anything came of it since we left that afternoon. I think the only consistent positive was the entertainment team. They were fun and always tried to get everyone involved with different activities. All in all, we spent thousands of dollars just to get food poisoning and play volleyball. Great.

As long as you have realistic expectations, this place is a great deal. The beach is amazing, with covered chairs, and drink service. The breakfast and lunch buffet is great. Be sure to book the specialty restaurants upon check-in for you whole stay, as reservations go quick. The room is average, as far as tropical destinations go. Could use maintenance, but was well cleaned. The view from the room was amazing. Always ask for the type of liquor you want but name brand, because most of the house liquor is very low quality.

My family and I decided to book this resort for Thanksgiving week. We had 2 other families join us. We had an issue with our flight and we were unable to make it the first night. We asked if they could extend our stay or offer us a refund and neither was offered. Even though we arrived a day late we still had to wait for our room which was unbelievable that they would charge us for a room for the night before and then it was not ready upon our arrival. The room was not very clean. We found cobwebs and spiders in the room. The floors felt like dirty. The bathtub in the room when we started the jets let out black dirt. The beds were comfortable and the room is very spacious. The furniture is dated but everything was comfortable and in working order. We originally had picked a pool view room. The elevators broke in the building we were in and they could not accommodate us with the pool view room and gave us a room with a jungle view. There was no compensation for that as well. It was very hard to get reservations to the restaurants. The only restaurant we were impressed with the food was the Hibachi restaurant. The rest of the food was mediocre. We did not like that there was no food options by the pool or waitresses walking around to take orders. The restaurant that is by the pool area requires you to be fully dressed and dry. It makes no sense because that is located by the pool area. There's no grab and go food by the pool it is just restaurants. The one thing I will give them is that the kids camp is very nice. There was a lot of activities for the kids which is why we originally picked the resort. We found that there wasn't much for the adults to do though. Especially towards the night time, everything closed early. There's a club and the atmosphere is nice but the music was terrible. I did not go to Mexico to not be exposed to any of their culture or music. They played top 40 all night. Everything else in the resort closes at 11pm. The resort is huge, be prepared to walk. It is next to impossible to get a golf cart summoned to help you get from one location to other. We found the app to be useless for the resort. It doesn't list all the activities that are going on at the resort. We were finding things that were going on and they weren't on the app and by the time we got there they were wrapping up. Honestly, we wouldn't recommend this resort. It was not worth what we paid. The staff was friendly but overall the issue with had with the pool view room, elevator not working and no help with figuring out the one night we missed. We wouldn't come back. BTW we stayed on the "premium" side of the resort. I can't begin to imagine what the other side of the resort is like.

The service is wonderful with a couple very minor exceptions the employees did a fantastic job probably the best experience was at the pool and more specifically the pool bar. Santos and Miguel were excellent bartenders. Their drinks were top notch and their service was exceptional I would come back to the hotel just on those two guys being there. Overall the food was great the seafood was excellent I felt the American bistro wasn’t all that great. Steakhouse was wonderful the buffet at the adults only was great as well. I don’t know her name but the lady in the morning making the omelettes did an excellent job as well.

A great hotel! The view was beautiful and the pool area was huge. The beach is right off the poolside. All the people that work here are very friendly and welcoming. They are very helpful and make sure you feel comfortable. We booked two tours through them and they were great. Shout out to Irving for his wonderful hosting and to Miguel for helping with any questions. Franco Jimenez was the best and shoutout to Luis the chef, the food was great.

We had a great time. The service was spectacular. Food could have been better at every restaurant. The golf was great - the course is also all inclusive and the cart-guy came around at least three times. The rooms were very comfortable. The entertainment in the main lobby at night is wonderful; they all play different instruments and sing. We will be back during our next trip to Cancun!

AMAZING RESORT! My friend and I went for spring break as we are both in college, and this resort was the perfect choice. The resort was so incredibly clean and safe, food was amazing, and we loved the vibe. There was a place for those who wanted some peace and quiet to relax, and there was a place for those who wanted to be a part of the fun and action. The staff goes out of their way to ensure you have food, drinks, and a smile on your face. The rooms were gorgeous, view was stunning, service was amazing. Beach was beautiful, pool was fun, hot tubs were clean. I have no complaints what so ever and 100% will be returning. Don't even hesitate - book it!

This was our second time at this resort. We’ve walked the beach in both directions and Iberostar has by far the better views and amenities of all the resorts we checked out. The food is excellent and the staff is incredible. ( Look and say hi to Irving, great guy who will help you with what you need). There are things to do at all times of the day and night. During the day the staff holds different events/competitions near the pool and beach. The pool bar usually as some form of entertainment in the evening, along with the atrium bar inside the hotel. The outdoor straw “big top” has great entertainment nightly put on by hotel staff. My only complaints would be that they don't have enough elevators for the size of the hotel. They’re slow and sometimes you have to wait awhile to get where you want to go. Also, if you have a room near the “Big Top”, don’t plan on going to sleep anytime early. The music blares until at least 1AM, so you need to either keep your patio door shut ( Then you can’t hear the ocean) or leave it open and listen to the loud music. All and all though we love it here and will continue to return.

We stayed at the Coral Level part of the property. Enjoyed the adult only all inclusive atmosphere and the variety and quality of the food. We received excellent service and felt 0 pressure to tip. Our only, and BIGGEST complaint is that most of our party of 6 got M's revenge and couldn't eat well towards the end of our stay. The most likely culprit was the "bottled" water served in the pool area or the flavored water from the dining area or gym water dispensers. That's because the hotel fills them. I recommend drinking only commercially canned and bottled drinks!

My first time traveling to Mexico on my bday and I absolutely loved it! We went with a group of 6 friends, each couple had two kids apiece so it was quite a large group. Staff are amazing there, Ian was incredible, very helpful and personable and always has a smile on his face . Every time he'd see me he would wish me a happy birthday which was very sweet! The resort itself is large and the pools are amazing , kiddie pool was excellent. Rooms are a bit dated and one elevator always seemed to be out of order but otherwise we didn't have too many issues. Buffet food was great but the Italian restaurant disappointed. Other than that we loved our stay! Would recommend to families with small kids.

This resort, unfortunately, needs a lot of work. Leaks everywhere, rooms couldn't get below 75, outside pool bar kept running out of liquor and ice, and took our group to go and complain about it in order for them to restock. We did all-inclusive and had to pay 10 US dollars to watch a Magic Show. The gift shop prices were outrageous. $10 for a lighter, $23 dollars for a little bottle of tums. The food was horrible, water was served, and it was warm. The staff at the pool bar were not happy. It's like they hated their job. Military and Police all over resort made us feel uneasy on why they were there. Sports Bar didn't open until 1030 at night, took us to complain in order to open up, and when they did at 930 P.M. it was so hot in there , no bar tender, so we had to walk down to the lobby bar and get a drink and then go back up to finish and watch the hockey game. The people running the excursion booths kept quoting us different prices daily, they work off commission, so they were trying to get as much money as they could from us. Charged us 21 dollars at check out for beach cleaning, which they did not do once. Horrible resort! We will never travel to Mexico again 😒

Very beautiful hotel. Great views, great service. The buffet restaurant was great. Our server, Irving was the best. He had our table ready every morning for breakfast and waited on us like we were royalty. He was so personable. The pools were great, very fun. However, the night life is not too exciting, not much to do after 8:00.

Plenty of choice with the food options and rooms are always comfortable and clean. Staff is also very friendly. They give evening shows every night in the main lobby. I personally find these very loud, since all rooms and hallways are connected to the lobby, so if you want to go to bed early because of tours the next day, it is just too loud. But other than that, nice hotel with friendly staff, good food and enjoyable pools and shows.

Update: The front desk staff assisted us in securing a restaurant reservation for our last dinner, displaying excellent service. Despite their willingness to address room issues, such as a broken shower faucet and the option to change rooms, we declined as we were checking out soon. Thanks to their willingness to help now I am updating rating to 3 stars. Stayed 10 nights, 4 more to go. Pool activities and Zumba were engaging. Rooms had issues – broken shower faucet, noisy conditioner, disruptive hallway noise from 5 pm to 11 pm. Difficulty securing restaurant reservations; buffet became the only option. Buffet food unsatisfactory. Helpful activity personnel and waitresses, but dissatisfied with unhelpful concierge. Not great drink selection, that made my choice option limited to wine. Appreciate staff effort but will not come back.

We had such a fun vacation. We got married and had Diego as our wedding coordinator, everything was perfect and as planned! Our family was very well taken care of by the resort. We had issues with our airline but the resort and stay was great. We took our one year old and she had a blast on the beach and in the pools l. Food was good, with so many options. Staff was very accommodating. Would of have gave 5 stars but we didn’t get anything in regards to room upgrade or champagne the day/night of our wedding. Which isn’t a big deal but would of been nice. Our window was also leaking badly when we arrived from storm so just be aware if it’s raining outside. And we found it difficult at a couple restaurants when the whole group of 17 wanted to sit together. They made it work just made a stink about it at the beginning even though everyone made reservations. We will definitely come back.

Iberostar Hotel and Resorts is a fantastic spot for the tourists like me and my family, two daughter, one son and my four grand kids. We enjoyed everything at the resorts. All staff are very friendly they are easy going prompt to respond. Swimming areas are well planned we all enjoyed my grand kids loved to stay whole days in the pool. Food was excellent breakfast lunch dinner were excellent no complaints at all from us. I met chef Marisol a young nice lady she is very friendly explained everything to us. I wish her good luck. Hotel concierge are friendly they know English very well.The staff are very kind. During my five days I never have seen their face but always big smiles. House keeping were excellent they are experts in their job. We all promised we shall come back to Iberostar every year. Thank you so much Iberostar. Keep the spirit up.

Our visit was half work and half vacation and was amazing! We brought our 9 and 5 year old along and they absolutely LOVED the Star Camp! This included service was awesome. The camp leaders were so kind and fun and our girls made new friends and memories that they will always remember! The restaurants and bars were great. The pool, beach and views are breathtaking. The staff is all friendly and helpful. We opted for basic rooms knowing we wouldn’t spend a lot of time in the room but we were still greeted with stunning views of the ocean. Would definitely recommend this resort and would return here again.

Great service! I had a blast. Chef Ivan was very nice. The entertainment team was great especially Carlos, Franco, and Luisa. The waitstaff worked so hard, especially Manuel during breakfast and Roberto for dinner. The pools were great. We had a lot of fun . The Steakhouse is a must!!

Stayed here the last week of January 2024. No complaints. Resort was clean/nice, beds super comfortable, food was amazing, all employees were lovely and super friendly. Samuel at the breakfast buffet was great. Beach was great with active lifeguards and lots of seating. Would go back in a heartbeat. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Lorena's attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction created a welcoming atmosphere. German's expertise in guiding us through the menu and his impeccable service elevated our dining experience. Together, they made our evening truly memorable. Highly recommend their exceptional service! Highly recommended this Hotel and restaurant.

Great stay! Very friendly staff, loved staying here with my boyfriend! We were celebrating my birthday and I just mentioned it to the staff as a comment but they surprised me twice with a lil birthday treat! Just the little details were so cute! They have ongoing games to keep you engaged and entertained, and the food is pretty diverse, loved the burger place and hibachi!

Everything was excellent. The service was top notch. The entertainment team keeps everyone laughing and dancing and offered lots of fun things to do. Erick is the best along with Alex A., Diego, Pedro. As far as service, Abi, was hands down our favorite server. He may be just at Coral Level, where we stayed. But we ate at several restaurants on the Selection side, had coffee, and enjoyed a show. The resort is gorgeous in every way and kept super clean. We felt so well taken care of.

My first time at Iberostar. My travel agency suggested this hotel and as my first experience, all I can say is that this hotel was amazing. Food was amazing, and room service incredible. We had an initial problem with our room, and it was solved immediately, and we were located in an amazing room with an ocean view. Staff were all incredible, an excellent service all the time. The best restaurant is the the Italian restaurant. Definitely will come back and will recommend to all my relatives and friends.

We had a great time!! Carlos was fantastic with activities and day time events. We really enjoyed his company. Claudia and Miguel were part of the service team. They were exceptional. The food selections were great. We had a great experience. The construction was a bit inconvenient but we look forward to coming back to see the improvements.

Have spent 12 nights here at the resort during November 2023. The entertainment team here around the day pool has been fantastic the whole time. Awesome service from everyone from the front desk, bar tenders, cleaning staff and much more. Highly recommended bringing a friend or family.

It is a beautiful place to be. Stayed here for 5 days and it still feels so short. All the staffs here are very friendly and welcoming. There were a number games and events that was hosted by the resort and the host Alexei.made it so much more fun for everyone. The shows that happen in the night are also worth a watch. The food, ambiance, pools , service and all are wonderful. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

Our family came to celebrate my father's 60th birthday and we could not have picked a better place to stay. Food was great, environment was great and the service was even better. The entertainment team was fantastic Ricardo y Carlos were so fun. The kids loved all the night shows. We will definitely be back. We will remember this trip forever

My vacation at Iberostar was incredible. The resort is very large with anything you could want. The rooms, pool areas, restaurants and beach were all super clean. The staff was incredibly attentive and pleasant. The service was incredible both in restaurants and everywhere else. The entertainment staff made the stay super pleasant and fun. Special shout out to Ricardo and Carlos for their great hospitality. They lead pool activities and beach volleyball, among other games. They were friendly, attentive, always in great spirits, and incredible hosts.

What an awesome vacation. We were so grateful to spend our honeymoon there. The food was tasty, and the views were wonderful. They constantly had high quality entertainment provided on both sides of the resort. I would recommend going as a family or as a couple. Always things to do or NOT do if you want to relax. Overall, a truly fantastic and relaxing trip!

Had an amazing time on vacation here stayed on the Coral Level side of the resort which is adults only and offers a super chill relaxed vibe which I loved. The food was amazing the entire time we were there everyone made sure we were having an amazing time with music shows and entertainment. The entertainment crew has their job cut out for them and they did an amazing job at keeping everyone engaged the entire time. Bartenders were super attentive and friendly as could be. The chefs and waitstaff at all the restaurants did an incredible job. Everything was very neat and clean the entire time throughout the entire resort. Loved taking the shuttle ride through the resort. We had plenty of room and cabanas the entire time. I would definitely stay here again 10/10 recommend. Thanks to everyone that made my vacation amazing. Pedro, Alex, Ricardo, Carlos, Alexei, Marisol, Luis, Enrique, Fredy, Sergio, and so many more.

The most AMAZING vacation experience of my life. The service was beyond exceptional. The room met and exceeded all my expectations. The food was amazing, we did not want to stop eating. Chef Luis made an excellent spread. Everything was delicious, beautiful, fresh, and sparkling clean. We will come back again and again. We didn’t want our vacation to end! So sad to go.

Iberostar hotel was amazing for our family. The perfect vacation to celebrate an anniversary and birthday for my 5 year old nephew. The service, food, rooms, and shows were all wonderful! The kids (4 & 7) really enjoyed the kids club; the staff running it was extremely attentive (esp. Paloma). The kids had a blast and asked to go back every day. Would definitely recommend this all inclusive for any family with small children. We'll be back!

The Star Camp at Iberostar Cancun Selection was amazing! Kids had a blast and the entire staff was super friendly and trustworthy. It was a nice break in between swimming and beach time, both for the kids and for us parents! The interior is super lively and AC is on full blast - an added bonus! Paloma and Elihu welcomed our kiddos on Day 1 of our stay and they were eager to go back each day! Thanks so much to all of the smiling friends at Star Camp! We truly appreciate it.

Iberostar was great for the first time in Cancún! The location was great and the access to the beach. My favorite part was the staff, they were all so friendly and hardworking. When we first checked in, Jorge was super helpful for our crazy group of 10 and helping us get dinners scheduled. He was even nice enough to offer helping us off the resort in the case we needed additional items. The drinks everywhere were great, Sergio was always so kind and helpful in making me my crazy drinks. My favorite staff was Diego from the Entertainment group! He was so fun and always helpful and loved to hangout on his breaks with us and Pedro! Would definitely come back just for the staff itself.

The Iberostar Selection Cancun is a great place to vacation. The staff is outstanding! Diego in entertainment is fabulous!! He went out of his way to keep our family entertained and kept us engaged the whole time. Also, a huge shout out to Angel, Sergio and Carolina at the pool bar. They truly work magic everyday and my family is extremely thankful for all their effort and hospitality!! Edgar at the lobby bar is amazing!! I appreciate all his work and friendliness. We had an amazing time at Iberostar and the staff is truly wonderful in all facets!

I had a wonderful stay at the Iberostar! When my son and I checked in, Jorge at the front desk upgraded us to a suite with fantastic views of the ocean. (Thank you, Jorge!) The beach is beautiful and there were plenty of deck chairs (both shady and sunny). The lifeguard Luis was very friendly and always greeted me by name. I was very glad that the resort has lifeguards, because the water was pretty rough during our stay. The fitness room team is wonderful, and I enjoyed my daily yoga classes with Jacqui. What a treat to practice yoga outdoors and enjoy the ocean breezes! Hector gave me an overview of the gym and was very friendly and welcoming. Jhoana, a hostess in the buffet, often checked up on me to see if I had everything I needed. Marisol the chef also stopped by to see if I was enjoying the food and we had a very nice chat. The live music during "Mexican night" was really good. I enjoyed the harpist in the dining room (what a beautiful singing voice!) and also the mariachi band in the lobby (they were fantastic!). My only criticism about the facilities is that the gym is very small and stuffy so I didn't work out as often as I might have (adding a few fans would help). Overall it was a great vacation!

We had a wonderful relaxing vacation! The entertainment kept the seven (4 adults, 3 kids ages 6-10) having fun each day at the pool and evenings at the shows. Huge shout out to Fernanda! She’s amazing! We really enjoyed the daily water polo, volleyball and pool basketball. We also enjoyed bingo and the other competitions! Definitely recommend this beautiful resort!

I loved everything about this resort!!!! The buffet staff was super friendly... to name a few Roberto, Manuel, Luis and I can't remember the rest. The animation team was fun and amazing especially Franco, Carlos, Luisa, Luis, Nicole and unfortunately I can't remember the rest of the team. The singers were amazing too!!!! I will definitely be returning. The place was gorgeous and the food was amazing!

Take me back! Now! What an amazing experience overall. The employees are super nice, very thoughtful, their positive attitude is contagious. What can I say, the hotel is just absolutely amazing, squeaky clean, great view, great beach, enormous pool which was something we were looking for since, even if the hotel was full, the pool never felt packed. There's tons of pools and space, the cocktails are delicious.

The most friendliest staff ever!!! We celebrated our anniversary here. We were welcomed by Nadira who provided us with all the information we needed to make the best of getting around the resort and Cancun. We also received a voucher for 2 free massages for sitting through a 1 hour long presentation during breakfast. Our room was amazing with a balcony and jacuzzi on the balcony overseeing the ocean. Everyday our room was cleaned and a different towel design. We received complimentary decorated room for our anniversary night with champagne and rose petals. Great food...drinks...staff... views...amazing overall experience.

I absolutely enjoyed my stay! The food was great, amazing service and the pool and beach was beautiful. Room service and cleaning was perfect too, I loved coming back to a clean room. We absolutely enjoyed the shows and made friends with Beto, Luisa and Marian and they were such talented dancers and so so so friendly. We danced every night with them and had so much fun!!! Next time I come I hope to see them again!!

This resort has been so fun and the best all inclusive we have been to in Mexico so far! We are staying in the adults only coral tower, which is what I would recommend. The food is amazing quality in the coral tower especially, and very fresh. Special shout-out to Moises, who has been making us the tastiest custom dishes and catering to our dietary restrictions too! Maria from the chef team has also been amazing. The restaurants around the hotel are good as well. The rooms are clean and the overall resort is well kept. I also appreciate that it’s a short drive from the airport.
