Hands down the best hostel I've ever stayed in. Free dinner and breakfast each day, and actually quality food. A nice hammock area, and pretty quiet at night. None of the rooms are over crowded, and the community dinner is a great way to gather everyone together to meet.

Beautiful Hostel - highly recommended! Very nice people serving free breakfast and dinner. Felt safe my whole stay, no need to fear area around. Rooms are nice and clean and beds are comfortable enough. A/C is provided. Have a nice stay ;)

At this hostel you are not just a guest, you are immediately accepted and you are seen as a new friend. The breakfast and dinners are lots of fun and the perfect place to find people to hang out with the next day! Great atmosphere, good and clean rooms, safe hostel/ area and delicious breakfast and dinner! I only stayed a few nights but would recommend it to fellow travelers. I stayed in the 8person mixed bedroom with private bathroom and was very happy with it. It was rather warm in the room at night but that's just part of being in Cancún! The first day Hermes, who works at the hostel took the time to figure out a schedule for me to continue my travels. The second day he sat down with me to figure out details like transportation, hostels and prices. This information is so valuable and a big plus point. He also took me and another girl out to a beautiful beach and suggested a great place for lunch. If you're looking for a good hostel in Cancun and a place to make new friends Orquideas is the place to be!

The social atmosphere is great thanks to the family dinners and the fact you can bring your own alcohol. The staff are mostly kind and helpful. The rooms and toilets could use some work, lots of work actually. I'd still stay again just for the fun times. Well located near palapas square for getting food and entertainment

The family atmosphere and overall fun environment make for a great way to make new friends. The dinner is very good, and the staff really cares about making you have the best time possible. This hostel is truly the great value for the $$ you pay..oh and the cleaners are excellent! The only downsides is that the place can be load at all times, so bring ear plugs and a cover for your eyes if you need to get some sleep.

This was the last place my partner and I stayed over our 3 week trip to Mexico. It was such a great atmosphere, where everyone got together for communal dinners and hung out in the common areas talking. The vibe was great. The owner and the staff were very helpful - I had a problem and they helped to do everything they could to fix it. Good place for meeting others. There was a kitchen and the breakfast was yummy. Lots of games, and hammocks, and things to do.

Awesome price for what you get; there is free breakfast (when I was there it was coffee, cake, fruit, bacon, and eggs) AND dinner (usually italian or mexican style) and the rooms are clean. Hosts and staff were friendly, and they have some nice hammocks to hang out in. Quiet time is 11 so it's not a great place to party but the location is really central and convenient. Bathrooms were adequately clean with hot water. Mattresses weren't the most comfortable.

I went to check in early, no one around, no worries, I checked my email in a hammock. After an hour I decided to leave and the Italian woman chased me into the street and vaguely accused me of stealing something maybe? She was fired up and accusatory. I don't know. It smelled gross. the rooms looked terrible, no privacy. I had booked a private room that was like 550 pesos, I think you can do a lot better. Bad neighbourhood too. I guess their main draw is the free food. Not much else to write home about.

One of the best hostel experiences ive had. They are super friendly ready to help at moments will. They have free breakfast, dinner and beach towels to use. Unlimited coffee throughout the day. We got a private room with air conditioning which was perfect. Bathroom had some funky smell but we made it work by buying air freshner. Make sure to bring hand soap as it was not available in our bathroom.

It was amazing! The staff made us take a breakfast and dinner with other guests in one table so we could have conversation with them naturally. There was also "oxxo"(a kind of convenience store in Mexico) closed to the hostel so we could get some staffs easily. The best experience was talking to a wonderful staff. He was nice and clever so we enjoyed talking about politics or religions, everything. Even if you have nothing to do in Cancun, it's worth visiting this hostel just to see him.

😠 Ater you get there you wonder how its possible for it to have such a high rating, very dirty and old facilities, not how they make it look online. After I left a Argentinian volunteer whom I barely spoke to kept messaging me (numerous times) on insta to give them a high rating. She was extremely in...
