This place met my expectations although a few things bugged me. First, the food. Not the best, definitely not. Although it is free I can’t complain. I had also found a cockroach in my room. Service at their restaurants are alright but could be improved. I enjoyed my stay here though. It is a good resort and I recommend it to others

First I want to say after booking I read all the bad reviews and after staying here I can say it was worth it get the all inclusive. Go see Vincent the bartender at the bar Diego he makes the best drinks I’ve had in quite some time. There are restaurants on site so do not only eat at only the buffet and you can also go to The other hotels that this hotel owns the one right down the street is really nice and has good restaurants also. And the woman who was our housekeeping staff has to be the nicest person I have ever met. I didn’t purchase the timeshare or vacation package because it wasn’t a good fit for me but if you have the time to travel, and it’s a good fit for you, I would recommend.

If you need a place to enjoy your vacation and at the same time to relax alone or with your family then this is the perfect place. I was there with my family ,husband and two children and had a wonderful time. The activities all day long at the pool, the food, the service is excellent. I will consider this place a 5 🌟. I do not like a crowded and noise hotel so this place was perfect. Price is reasonable with open bar and 3 restaurants one of them is a buffet for you to choose and eat delicious food. All inclusive is what I choose and 😋 I really like it. It is a 3 story building so if you don't like to climb stairs ask them to put you in the first level because there is no elevator other than that it is quiet , affordable and clean place to go. Big pool, one for adults and another for children. Playground for children. It's a block and half away from the ferry that goes to Isla Mujeres. You can take without taking a expensive tour and go see the beautiful island. 15 minutes to the center of Cancun and places to party , eat or shop. The airport is half to 40 minutes away depending on traffic.

I was staying in this hotel with my family and it is the worst experience that I have had. It is the most horrible thing that Cancun has. I do not recommend anyone to spend their money in this place. All the people I met were disappointed in that place, especially in the presentation that they send you, those people almost force you to buy. The food and drinks are very bad. It doesn't have a beach. The air conditioning doesn't work. Places like this shouldn't be in a place like Cancun. DON'T GO TO THIS PLACE

The pool needs repairs. And the activities for kids, we tried for 2 days and no one gave information, the girl was off. However the hotel, food and service is good The highest quality is the international restaurant every night the menu's are very variety and delicious food.

If you are attending with a deal that requires their sales presentation, please know that if you are not a couple, they will fine you $300 without warning you until you arrive. I called several days ahead of time to say my boyfriend was not joining me and that i had a family member joining instead. The people at the desk when I arrived stated that I should have been told I would have to pay a fine but when I was on the phone, I can guarantee I was never told this. Even if it was in the fine print somewhere, it was not stated explicitly, and definitely not mentioned to me even as just a courtesy when I changed the reservation to being with a family member. So far, the general staff are very helpful and very kind and the hotel is very clean with beautiful pools and view of the ocean but some of the policies here and the higher ups feel like a total scam and they were not very understanding of my situation or the misunderstanding due to their lack of clear communication.

The service was variable depending on who assisted you. Many of the workers seemed eager to receive tips which is fine if they deserve them. But some services did not fairly earn a good tip but the workers seemed to almost expect more. Most of the food was great but the juices seemed to be from concentrate. The buffet was varied for the most part. The food at the Mexican restaurant was not impressive at all. The view of the beach was very relaxing since there was little to no waves. The view of the sunrise was my favorite. The best time of the day to visit the pool was at sunset to closing since the water is warm and the air is fresh. Fair warning there is no hot water just barely lukewarm. The windows have light blocking technology which is great for light sleepers like myself. The room cleaning service was great they always left a great room to come back to. And the water bottles left daily were great.

Ocean spa staff is helpful and courteous. The food is ethnic and culturally made. The dining areas are accessible and the staff works quick and are at your table immediately when you need something. The amenities are family oriented fun and the scenery is very well put tohether.

Had a great time here! Entertainment was fun and the drinks were great! We went out and did things but also had fun at the resort itself. Our room was nice and clean and the AC was great! It's a small resort which I liked, everyone was friendly and the food was good. Had a great vacation here! One bartender Vicente was great also, he made us great drinks and shooters and was fun to sit and talk to!

Our stay was subpar. I would be giving one star if it weren’t for the amazing and dedicated staff. They were all very hospitable, especially the servers at the a la carte restaurants. I want to give a special shoutout to Amisael - he is an absolutely wonderful server and visibly loves his job. He was always so friendly, approachable, and consistently brought good energy. It’s a shame that the rest of our experience wasn’t great. The lunch and dinner buffet food tasted bad/bland. We were really looking forward to tasty eats here in Mexico. The room also smelt musty as well as the tap and shower water. This place really has some potential if they fixed these two major things. At least there was a shuttle service to Sunset Royale and other resorts to check out. We found ourselves spending more time at Sunset Royale than Ocean Spa to spend time at their beach and pool. Finally, we really hated the presentation we had to sit through. The agent was very pushy about selling us their vacation package, and once we gave him a hard no, his demeanour quickly changed. He bluntly bid us goodbye and told us to see ourselves out. We felt that this was extremely rude and disrespectful - and is no way to treat someone you had just tried to do business with. Unfortunately, we will not be returning nor will we be recommending this resort to anyone. But I do wish the great staff all the best and I hope this place gets better for their sake.

Had the pleasure of visiting this place for my birthday. It was beautiful. The staff was wonderful. Most of all there is a staff member named lilliana. She was great! I can't wait to go back.

Bad experience ! Because never mentioned is conditioned to assist to one meeting where they offer some kind of shares ! As I refuse to do it, they cancell the food and tried to charge some fine ! The food in buffet is not that good ! So I prefer to eat outside, instead to pay the fine !

Not to the standard, food in buffet was monotonous, did not like the food much, the sales agent insisted we invest and once we told him no, he was super mad, too much pressure, would never go back, infant all guests I talked to had same opinion. Too much pressure

Horrible customer service. Manager will disregard your concerns and make you wait until the next manager clocks in. We had a reservation and because our flight was delayed we couldnt make it until the next day, arrived at the hotel at 8am and refused to let us checkin to our room until 3pm. Because of flight delays we now are missing 2 days of our vacation and they are refusing to comp for not having our room available. Each person i speak to says a different story.

Although the location is further than expected meaning you start off Hotel Zone the location itself is quite nice. You are able to have like a 10-15 min walk to the main party zone and markets or you can take the public transport (bus) for the cost of 12 pesos and or $2USD which I personally find it quite convenient. The hospitality in this hotel is beyond amazing the staff is very informative and courteous. The have multiple great restaurants and things to do in the hotel itself and if you’re part of the all inclusive you’re able to visit a sister hotel and also take advantage of their amenities aside of food and drinks which is not included in a sister hotel with your all inclusive access. I also enjoyed that this hotel is very very family oriented and friendly meaning your little ones will have a marvelous time because the staff actually cater to the children’s needs to obviously keep the parents happy which i find amazing because it’s one of the things the prevents families from traveling together. In my personal experience and opinion I would grade this place a A- only due to distance and location aside of that is perfect. Definitely book your next stay with Ocean spa hotel and take advantage of all it has to offer you will not regret it.

Clean and very well-kept property, beautiful foliage, pool area, kids zone, and separate pool. I highly recommend it. Would have given five stars for service, but we had to call for wash clothes every day, and one day, it took two calls and an hour to receive. Other than that everyone friendly enough. Oh, Ms Tonya, yoga instructor, thank you 😊 you class renewed my love of yoga!!

First time at this resort - it was exceptionally clean, service was very good and the activities staff didn't disappoint. Our teen daughter had an excellent time. Thanks to Raual, Jesus, Ricky, Carlos and Fernando. We will plan to return.

I had a extremely bad experience at this resort. The food is very bad. Not a good selection or variety. When I got to check in the gave me the wrong room! It took them a day to put me in the right room. The manager (Eric) is extremely rude & has no customer service skills. The view of my room was nice. Shower water pressure is terrible. Management please work with Eric & Roger on their customer service. Give them the necessary training please. Until then please don't stay at this resort.

First I want to start with the fact my husband and I travel to all inclusive resort’s several times a year, so my review is based on the wide range of resorts we have visited. If you are looking for a resort with night time entertainment this is not the place for you. We were there 5 nights and only had someone singing in the lobby. The resort staff was amazing and the daytime entertainment crew tried to keep everyone busy with games etc through out the day. The resort is very clean but dated. I also got a face mask and message that was amazing in the spa. Now here are my negatives. The Air conditioning in our room would never get cooler than 78 degrees. The enclosed restaurants were very stuffy and I was usually drenched in sweat and could not eat because I was too hot. The pool is 4’8” everywhere and the only way in and out is the metal wall ladders. The hotel also has no elevators so ask for ground floor unless you don’t mind walking flights of stairs. Now for the food, it was not great but edible, it may have been better if the restaurants were cooler.

Sad to say, but this hotel wasn't that great. The staff was fantastic, but the rest was mediocre at best. The buffet was really bad with no real variety at all. At night, you had Frida for Mexican food, which was good, but after having it once, you dont really feel like it again, or I didn't. And you have an Italian restaurant which was quite good but again you don't want it every night. The pool is nothing special at all. No hot tub, either. Better pools at home. The beach area is an absolute joke. It's very, very small. And there are boats and docks right there, so it makes it even smaller, and the smell of gas from some of the boats takes away from it. The room was a good size and the mattress was super comfortable but our fancy shower had the one handle broken off so we couldn't even try the fancy settings. We made the best of our stay but we mostly went to one of their other hotels to swim, use the beach and mostly eat which was much better. Again the staff was great and I give them all 5 stars but the hotel we wouldn't stay at again sadly.

Dirty old place, checkin is at 3pm . If they tell you don’t worry they can check you in b4 that that’s another lie cause they telling me 4pm. I received 2-3 activities with my purchase but now hotel telling me I have to pay and the company envios not answering phone and when they did answer lady on other end say nothing they could do. Don’t fall for it they practice lies to get your money. I have to be here till Friday and I can’t wait to leave. 2 hours so far and the most horrible trip I’ve experienced in my whole life. I doubt if it will get better but I will let you know if they redeem themselves but for now please, please, please save yourself the hassle and stay away from these two businesses. They feel once your here nothing you can do but accept their unkindness. STAY AWAY for your own good and safety

Cancun was beautiful. I like that this hotel is actually part of a chain of hotels that allow you to use the amenities at each location. Food was pretty good, the pool was nice and overall the hotel and landscaping looked amazing. The only downside to this location was the local Beach was not a good beach to swim at. We were comfortable and had everything we needed here.

Hotel room, it's really old premises. Bed was not comfortable as expected. Room A/C was too noisy, looks like you're 24/7 in the plane. Floorings are really dirty. Service was no good, too much fishy. You'll can find better and good service than this. They'll offer you scam time-share for what??? Pricey and not worth-it, just no options as we can early as 1am in the morning. We'll definetely come back in Cancun, but not in this hotel. 200% not recommended on this hotel.

Clean room, good food, great staff. You may not be able to swim at the hotels beach, but they have couple of sister hotels where you can swim and enjoy the water

So if you are not on the all inclusive plan the meals are very pricey for the portions. The wifi is very limited as well. Rooms could use some refurbishing also based on the room I stayed in. The staff was very nice and accommodating though.

My Wife and I had a wonderful time! Every moment was delightful. I love the teamwork of the staff and the way our room was made daily as if we had just arrived. Shout out to the concierge for the pleasantries to make our time there even more enjoyable. WE WILL BE BACK!

Hotel itself is nice but unless you have all-inclusive and don’t really care what you’re putting in your mouth, do not waste your money at Siena Italian Restaurant. Food is either overly salty, dry, or bland. They use the same ingredients or sides for all of the dishes so there’s really nothing unique to the dishes. My husband got some beef dish where the server asked him how he liked his steak cooked, which made no sense because the steak is literally a quarter of an inch thick probably and there’s no way you can cook that any other way but well done and dry. I got the salmon and three cheese farfalle - salmon was dry and salty, the pasta was def no three cheese, just pasta doused in some bland creamy sauce and topped with plastic-quality shredded cheese on top. I feel silly for even writing this review and having any expectations for a hotel restaurant but needed to share this awful experience.

All inclusive fun in the sun. Standard all inclusive fare but they have their own beach and excellent staff! Genuine friendliness from all staff housekeeping, receptionist, bar and waiting, entertainment staff. Rooms clean, lovely pool and activities. Located in hotel zone so easy access to nightlife Coca Bonga, malls etc…. Very relaxing time by pool, Stephanie looked after us very well at the pool, Raul, Fernando and entertainment staff made everything fun, and were like our best friends on vacation, looking out for us, giving us advice etc … I highly recommend for a fun getaway, all inclusive.

DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, STAY HERE! My wife and I travel a lot, everywhere, and this by far was the worst place to stay. Where to begin, food, service, rooms, cleanliness horrible. I got food poisoning and all they cared about was that we didn't attend there " Time share Presentation" This place didn't even have an elevator and they had to bus you to another resort to be anywhere close to a beach. Plus once you got there, " all inclusive benefits" cease to exist. Rooms were secent, especially if you enjoy seeing exposed moldy pipes everywhere. Aside from a very limited few employees, all staff appeared as if you were bothering them, even for simple things such as towels. The two employees Oliver and Carlos who were " so nice and eager to help us plan a great vacation" seemed to completely forget who we were and dismiss any complaints we had. And the food,, think " National Lampoons Vegas Vacation budget Buffet. " Never again! No matter how inexpensive. It is not worth it. "You get what you pay for " in this "establishment."

My husband and I stayed in this hotel in Cancun and we enjoyed it. The food at Frida's was amazing. The buffet meal was alright but they are still good. Desserts are delicious. The waiters and bartenders were very friendly. Ocean Spa location was also very convenient. It is near catholic church and drug stotes. Overall, awesome experience.

The hotel is very basic; no elevators, no laudry facilities on site, and food is subpar. BUT the BEST part is the workers here. In particular, Raul and Jesus!! They help with the entertainment and really make you feel included, welcome and really treat you like family! They help you have a great time! They are so nice and high energy! Very kind and caring, easy to talk to and over all fun dudes! Raul leads a great game of pool and beach volleyball, and Jesus took us on a beautiful kayak tour around the Carribian sea and marina. The hotel featured great drinks, and a nice live band on Thursday night. That was cool! Let me tell you, this hotel is MUCH better than their sister hotel Royal Sunset...where they make you feel like an outcast even though they tell you that you are free to visit. Besides the ocean being absolutely gorgeous where Royal Sunset hotel is, there is no other reason to head over there. Go for the beach, not the hotel. Just stay at Ocean Spa with Raul and Jesus and have a FUN, comfortable and relaxing time!

IF I COULD RATE THIS HOTEL a 0 I WOULD. Where should I begin? My family and I wanted to visit Cancun for our uncle's 50th Birthday. The scheduling of the shuttle from the Airport is horrible, they transfer you to a call center in Argentina, where the customer service is lousy and disrespectful. Anyways, part of the crew ended up arriving earlier at the hotel, and most of us ended up arriving at Cancun probably around 4 pm. By the time we wanted to check in with my husband, we were tired and hungry and it was past check-in time. We wanted to explore the city, take a tour, enjoy a meal at the hotel restaurant, or have some tacos. WHATEVER activity we could do because guess what? WE WERE ON VACATION. When you check in to the hotel they FORCE you to receive a "tour" and welcome meeting that ends up lasting around 45 minutes to one hour. We told the lady that was at the counter at that time, that we only wanted to check in, and that the "tour and welcome meeting" could be rescheduled after we left our bags and had a bite. She was very rude and told us we could not get our KEY ROOM UNLESS WE SPOKE WITH THE HOTEL EXPERIENCES MANAGER. This was the worst person/customer service I have ever dealt with. His name was Lyft or something like that. In a very rude tone, he said to my husband you will not waste my time, and you can't even go to the restaurant because it's closed, so there you go, you HAVE to take the tour and welcome meeting. My husband being the person that he is, refused to receive the talk and said we instead were leaving our bags and going to a taqueria right across the street. Again, the lobby personnel said that they would not provide our key unless we took the tour and subscribed ourselves to a welcome talk the next morning. Up to this point, we felt desperate so we agreed to disagree, we left our bags at the counter and left to grab a bite. When we came back, they said too late. you'll have to take the tour and talk tomorrow morning at 8 AM. SHARP. FAIL to comply with this you will each have to pay $399. It seems like when you book with this hotel you have to READ THE SMALL LETTERS. When you agree to book with them you are forced to take a sales talk that lasts 4 HOURS so your vacation day number one IS RUINED. We had to go to another hotel, to listen to a salesperson FORCING YOU to accept a membership most tourists don't need. THEY FORCE YOU LITERALLY TO TAKE THIS SALES CONFERENCE THAT LASTS MORE THAN 3 HOURS. Which is absurd!!!! BECAUSE AGAIN, YOU ARE ON VACATION. not only they threatened us to take the talk but said failing to comply with this aside from paying $399 we would lose our Islas Mujeres tour. SO AGAIN, THEY FORCE YOU. Not to mention that this experience was bad enough, the ROOMS ARE WAY OVERPRIZED AND the building is old. They gave us the worst room which felt like punishment just because we were the crowd refusing to attend the event. The restaurant lacks creativity, EVERY MORNING you would have the same breakfast all over again, don't even get me started on LUNCH! the only person we ended up being appreciated getting to know was JORGE the bartender. This person was the only one that felt like a human being at this hotel. He was kind, and he was very hospitable. The other bartenders were rude, and sometimes it felt like begging for a shot of tequila (ABSURD BECAUSE IT'S ALL INCLUSIVE). The first day of our tour was wasted in this talk, which they tell you is not mandatory ( and it is). We had only three days to enjoy CANCUN and this hotel ruined all of our experience. Working for the hospitality business makes me understand you can't force clients to do what you want. Offer them incentives, offer them options, be kind, and have top-notch customer service. THIS HOTEL LACKS EVERYTHING YOU CAN POSSIBLY THINK OF. I am sure that my experience was not the only one that was ruined that day. Shame, would not recommend it at all. This felt like an entire waste of money.

Make sure you deadbolt your door, they do not latch securely. Food is mediocre at best. Drinks are cheap tasting and watered down with flat 2 liter sodas. Pool closes at 9pm and if you do not speak Spanish or atleast some, you may have difficulty communicating with staff. Fares on-site are over priced(as with every resort everywhere). And militant police are ALWAYS presenting full gear with assault rifles.

I'm sure there are fancier places in Cancun, but we found Ocean Spa Hotel to be cozy and fun. The rooms were nice, the grounds were lovely, the pools were great, and the staff was amazing. From starting the morning with Isabel, the wonderful yoga instructor, to kayaking with Camilo, to all the other fun activities with the entertainment crew thru to the evening, we were never bored and really enjoyed our time there. We enjoyed the food and the drinks, and the wait staff were lovely and took great care of us. And don't forget to get a massage from Mariano or Mariana, that's how we ended our stay and it was lovely. It made the flight home easy peasy because we were so relaxed!

I was very impressed with the warmth gesturesu from the Dining, Restaurant, Lobby Lounge and Chambermaids. We only had a problem with the loud noise from the air condition, but you had it fixed in no time the following morning. I was impressed with the cleanliness especially the bedsheets and towels which I am very particular with. A special thank you to your staff at the Dining and Restaurant area Aishmael, Alejandro, Daniel, Manuel and Jose at the lounge who works from 9 -5pm. I wished that I could remember the names especially the Charmbermaids who serviced us in the room. Bravo to everyone. I would give your hotel a 5 stars ⭐️ rating. Muchas Gracias🥰

The place was clean and the staff was nice but the food sucked for us. Everyone is different. We ate at the restaurants across the street. They spa and the drinks were probably the best thing there. The beach area is ok if u just want to sit because it's more of a marina area. If we go back, it won't be this place.

The staff is friendly and the view is nice. The rooms are clean and neat. They have a nice amount of pools to swim in and are family friendly. The beds are firm mattress and for my first visit to the city of cancun it is very welcoming. I will review everything after the week is through.

Very much dated. The ceilings were leaking in 2 separate rooms. We returned to a pool of water on the floor if we didn’t remember to put down a towel. Our room was in the very back of the hotel, it looked like an alley. The bed, a pile of broken rocks. Couldn’t call the front desk from our room. The food was not good. This was a terrible experience. The only thing I can say positive about this place is the staff. They are very nice and respectful.
