Sun Palace is close to the airport and the restaurant/cafe staff were nice and attentive without being too up in your business. The multiple pools with easy food and drink access was nice. The rooms were nice, beds comfortable, and view was lovely. It was easy and cheap to hop on the bus to get to other spots. Unfortunately the positives stop there. The staff are intrusive in their persistence selling packages and memberships. They called our room multiple times a day even after being told specifically that we were not interested and would reach out if we wanted something. The food was hit or miss. The app they direct you to use for most things doesn't work the majority of the time and it ends up being a fight trying to get something like room service. The information about restaurant availability was also incorrect in the app, leading to less choices than advertised. We were told we had complimentary airport to resort transfer services but we were charged for it. I was ultimately refunded but mysteriously the refund only showed up after I completed the resort survey and left unhappy feedback. Other items in the anniversary package we booked never turned up, were never offered, or showed up significantly late. I found the overall stay to be below my expectations for the cost and will likely not stay with Palace Resorts in the future based on the fact that there is a trend of similar complaints from the past several years, which demonstrates Palace Resorts does plan to address the issues.

We only spent one day here because we used a day pass from their sister resort. It's very cool to be able to skip around from one Sun Palace resort to another. This is a nice smaller resort, which is adults only. The crowd is a little older and well-behaved, lol. The infinity pools are excellent, and the larger pool offers a nice swim up bar. My favorite part was the taco and fresh guacamole stand out by the pool. That was the best guacamole I've ever had! Overall, the resort seemed very low-key, quiet, and relaxing. Everything was clean and well kept. I can not rate the rooms because I didn't stay overnight, but the ocean front rooms look like they would be amazing. The service was very good, and someone made sure they came around to take care of you. The sister resort did try the sales pitch with us as well, which being seasoned travelers we know what it's about (unless you know you will come back to this resort year after year, the deals are actually really good but you get locked into paying for a week every year). We love to explore the many resorts Cancun has to offer. So if you're into a smaller older crowd, at a quiet place on the ocean, this would work out fine. The beach is nice and has clearer water than some of the southern resorts.

What a great getaway. The service is fantastic, and it's nice to have a vacation that isn't crowded with children and lots of partying co-eds. The resort isn't huge, with "just" 4 restaurants, but the beach and pools were fabulous. The restaurants were really good, by the way. We never had a bad meal, and I would say that they were definitely above average, but not mind blowing. The cocktails were average - generally a bit too sweet, with a few exceptions. The house wine was really decent, so it was a good alternative if you just want to have a glass instead of a cocktail. You can always upgrade your wine if you prefer, but we didn't see the need.

The Sun palace is a nice and clean property. It is not as grand as other palace resorts but the highlight of this place is its beach and infinity pool. It has beautiful blue water and looks amazing. The rooms are really nice with an ocean view. You can watch the sunrise from your balcony which was amazing. Restaurants choices are average with below-average food. Drinks were pathetic. Service and Entertainment were average as well.

Just got home from the resort. Everything was great. Our room had a great view, a whirlpool tub, and a very comfortable bed. I generally don't spend a lot of time in the room at resorts. Basically, just shower and sleep. This room was so nice that we had to change that a bit. My favorite thing was the food. So many choices. Breakfast, coffee bar, lunch, snacks, dinner, late night snacks ... Met a lot of people and had a great time. Day drinking in the pool to partying in the bar at night! Definitely thinking of going back!

To say this place is beautiful is an understatement. The decor is super modern. The food is incredible. The staff is so welcoming and kind, and any request you have they will try their best to fulfill. The views are to die for. This is by far the best all inclusive I’ve been to yet. If you are looking for relaxation and not a party scene, I highly recommend Sun Palace!

I have always had a great experience at Palace Resorts locations. I am an Elite Member and my family and I always enjoyed the great rooms, excellent food, excellent service and activities at all the resorts we visited. My last trip with friends and family was a big disappointment. While at the resort we stayed at, I spoke to Customer Service and when we returned home I reached out to a couple of people and Customer Service again, but is seems like my comments fell on deaf ears. The rating in this review is more about how Palace Resorts has failed to acknowledge my issue and try to deal with it, than it is about other items.

Gorgeous resort with friendly food servers! We’re here currently for our honeymoon and it would be nice not to get daily phone calls to our room, while we’re sleeping, to continue to push selling us their membership. We politely declined at check in, in spite of the resort credits they were using as enticement, but every time we approach guests services to ask simple questions, they use that as another opportunity to push to sell their membership. Management needs to stop the pressure on their guests service staff to sell and respect the guests’ wishes, to not be constantly sold something they are clearly not interested to buy.

My husband and I just finished our 4 night honeymoon here and it was incredible! It was both of our first times doing all-inclusive and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the moment we were greeted by our driver at the airport to the friendly staff and delicious food, our honeymoon was truly perfect. Neither of us drink and we prefer a more relaxed and romantic getaway, so Sun Palace was the perfect escape for us. If you're looking for something laid back and restful, this is your place! Some tips: - Pay ahead for private airport transportation. We paid $180 for both ways and it was worth it to have the privacy and direct commute without any stops at other resorts. - Room service food is decent, but not as good as the breakfast and lunch buffets or the sit down dinners! Definitely nice to have the option if you're wanting to stay in, but totally worth leaving the room to enjoy more options and better quality food. - Our favorite restaurant was Thai (we tried the Mexican and Italian place too). Would highly recommend getting a reservation for the Thai restaurant a couple nights in advance since they are booked out pretty far. - Bring small bills for tipping staff. We heard this from a friend and it was so nice to be able to thank those who served us so well all week! - We had $500 resort credit, which can be used in some of the shops/spa/activities but you have to pay a 16% service fee for anything you purchase with resort credit. - Our favorite food/desserts: steak fajitas (room service), banana crepe (Sweet Shop), short rib & chicken steamed buns (Thai), fresh breads (breakfast buffet), Gelato (Sweet Shop).

We stayed here for our honeymoon, and let me say- we were absolutely blown away!! From the food to the staff to the cleanliness, we had no complaints. The property is right on the beach. Every single staff member went out of their way to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxing trip!! We can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful room and resort. The staff take customer service to the next level. Our favorite restaurants were aurora they have an excellent breakfast buffet and for dinner they have traditional Mexican food, delicious, Alberto was our server for the duration of our 9 day stay, he is amazing at his job and personable. There Thai food was also really great as well. The resort is advertised as a couples only resort, adults only. They have two pool areas, one is a quiet area, the other is the main pool with a swim up bar, and multiple pool games being initiated by their entertainment staff throughout the day (pool/beach volleyball, bingo, name that tune, tequila or aqua, dance lessons) Joshua and diego were wonderful at keeping the crowd engaged and letting people relax when they noticed them not being into it. This is my second stay here and I look forward to coming back.

Be careful, we got charged an extra $1000 at the end of our stay while trying to check out. Nothing was said to us about this before we checked in, or any time during our stay. Excellent resort and had a great week prior to checkout but we found that was very sneaky and left a bad taste in our mouth. If we do end up getting reimbursed will change to 5 stars.

Returning from a great getaway at Sun Palace. Beautiful resort. Only around 200 rooms, so not crowded and could really enjoy it. Staff goes out of their way to provide hospitality. Entertainment Staff- Samantha and Pedro are amazing! The evening shows were high-quality vegas type shows for a small crowd.

We booked a king superior room with sea views and had already paid for this room. When we showed up to check in we were told that they had overbooked and that our only options were a room with no sea views with two double beds or we could pay another $500 to to get a king bed with partial sea views (which is less than what we had booked and they now wanted us to pay extra) or we could be transferred to beach palace a family resort and get a king bed with sea views for no extra cost. This was our 5 year wedding anniversary so we ended up taking the beach palace option and got transferred! When we showed up to beach palace and got to our apparently “superior” room the toilet water smelt awful, the water for the jacuzzi was yellow and smelt when we tried to run it for a spa and the shower water also had a weird smell. The PR office gave us a free nights accommodation certificate to be used within the next year but with a lot of conditions on it. We live on the other side of the world a 38 hour return flight to Cancun which means we will not be able to use this so it was a pretty poor way to make up for the inconvenience of moving us resorts and not giving us the room we had booked. We would have preferred to receive some resort credit to make our stay nicer or be refunded for some of our stay. We were severely disappointed with how we were treated on this stay and it really put a dampener on what was meant to be a special week for us.

We stayed at the Sun Palace for a week over New Years, we did our research on all the different resorts in the area and we felt the Sun Palace was a step above most resorts at this price range and we were right, this place was amazing, the whole place was always clean, our room was well kept up and stocked with plenty to drink. We had a nice size balcony on the 6th floor, we were on the side of the building so we could see the ocean and beach but it was not facing the water directly. They worked really hard to keep the beach clean and there were plenty of chairs and umbrellas (if you want one) and even a waiter to bring you drinks, if you like your drinks stronger just ask for a double shot. The pools were clean and the main pool had music and some small games, you lose the sun around 4-5 depending on the time of year, if you go out early to save a chair and leave they will mark it and if it is empty for an hour they will move your stuff so someone else can use it. The restaurants were amazing, we never had a bad meal, and our favorite was the Thai restaurant for dinner, room service was great (get the french toast), the breakfast buffet was good and had many different dishes to choose from. If you are looking for a party All inclusive this is not it, the Sun Palace is a place to relax with no kids and just have a good time. We never had an issue with any staff member, they are all so friendly and helpful. I could go on and on about this place and I will after we go again. This is the place for you. Thank you Sun Palace.

This place was nice and clean. The food was great. Please be aware of the presentation they offer you to hear about buying a membership. They pressure you into going, they make all the arrangements for you, but if you back out they try to charge you. We agreed to go and they offered to provide a Jeep rental for the day. My husband woke up with fever so we cancelled. They saw us during the day, and the rep Jessica was still trying to get us to go instead of asking how my husband was doing. At checkout there was a charge for a Jeep rental of $200 US dollars. Had to dispute it, get a manager involved, and it took over an hour to checkout. The charge was eventually removed. Also we stayed for 5 nights and left light on for room to be cleaned but we didn’t get it til the 3rd day after I had to hound them. They removed a robe when cleaning and I had a hard time getting a replacement. I was adamant because the hanger had a notice that if one was missing, they would charge you $60 for supposedly taking it home. All in all, this place left a bad taste in my mouth about it all.

We stayed for 6 days 5 nights in January and based on our experience these were our thoughts. Pros: breakfast had a good variety and basically could make whatever you asked for even if it wasn’t part of the buffet. Juan was an A1 server and was quick, efficient and ALWAYS served us with a smile. Sweet & Coffee workers Alexis and Ricardo were very pleasant and Alexis is very creative with frothing skills. Pedro & Diego, entertainment staff, were hilarious. They made us laugh, kept us busy and had a great sense of humor. Thai restaurant was amazing, we ate there twice and should’ve stuck to that place for all dinners. They had events every night (Michael Jackson, circus night, Vegas show) in the ball room and they were great! Professional entertainers, Vegas show was our favorite. Cons: Although we loved the Thai food, the service wasn’t the greatest but the hostess were very nice. We went to fuego for dinner and got the sirloin steak and lamb shank. My wife loved their lamb shank however the sirloin was tough to cut and chewy to eat. The roasted corn was hard and not cooked fully. There was a lack of restaurants for dinner and honestly the food options were very slim. The poolside pizza had a rubber texture. Our room over looked the “activity pool” and at 7am all chairs were taken with towels and other things like books, etc. so by the time we came there was no where to sit. Overall, over priced resort for the options it had to offer.

Best resort I've ever stayed at. Loved being at an adults only resort, been to other palace resorts but this doesn't compare! Sun palace did such a great job of making us feel like we were at home on our honeymoon. The food was amazing, but wish there were more room service options. Enrique down at the beach did an amazing job of getting drinks and food for us every day. Pedro from entertainment was so fun and made every event fun. Thank you palace resorts for an amazing stay!

The place was great! The breakfast service with Mario was amazing. He always was there to help us with whatever we needed. For the pool bar Francisco and Grabriel were great at serving us. When they would see us they would get our drinks ready before we would even go inside the pool. At the pool Daniel y Orlando we’re great and bringing us drinks and food. Joshua was so fun at the entertainment. We had a blast the whole trip the service was amazing.

Sun Palace resort was just what we needed, a place to be spoiled and pampered while enjoying the sounds of the ocean and recharging poolside. We chose this Palace location because it is all adults, and it was so nice to enjoy our vacation without any kiddos. The spa and spa services were top-notch; we spent a lot of time there! The service was amazing, the restaurants were filled with delicious options, and the coffee shop was the cherry on top! We can't name every Palace hospitality member who made our trip special because every person we interacted with was A+! We can't wait to come back!

This is one of the best vacations I've ever had. The resort is beautiful and great for people who are looking to get away and just relax! The Sun Palace resort is great! It has so many wonderful things to offer! A fantastic beach view, good food, and wonderful staff that are always available and extremely respectful. I truly had an incredible time and I owe much of the credit and the fun we had on our trip to the best entertainment crew in all of Cancun! Specifically, Pedro, Desiree, Roberto, and Johnathan were amazing, funny, and really know how to get the guests involved to have fun and relax all at the same time! I will most definitely be back at Sun Palace! Also a big thank you to Eric at the coffee shop! You are amazing and thank you for taking such good care of all the guests! You're always smiling and so polite and it was really appreciated! I found a resort that I have every intention of coming back to! Loved the overall experience and the resort.

Just back from a week at Sun Palace. Fantastic resort. Modern, great service & staff, super location. We loved it so much we are going back in March. It checks all the boxes except for one — food. The Italian and Thai restaurants are very good. Breakfast and lunch options are great. But the Fuego Grill has issues. First, it needs closing in; we had a nightmare experience there eating in a rain & wind storm. We were wind blown and wet while trying to eat. The meat was undercooked, tough, and tasteless. Additionally I got sick after eating there. Another person we sat beside got sick also. They really need to work on this restaurant a lot. It’s a shame as everything else is top drawer and we loved it. Sun Palace is our new go-to vacation place, but we’ll skip Fuego.

Amazing place, great food and service was exceptional by every staff member we encountered! We loved the sweets and coffee place for a quick snack. The pool side food and drinks were great. We always had a seat by the pool. Fun to watch the baby turtles and we got to learn about them and even release our own sea turtle in the evening. We were there in mid September and it was a great time to go. Not too crowded. The breakfast buffet was exceptional and 24 hr room service was great too! We enjoyed our stay immensely!

I really wish I could give five stars… especially for staffs at Sweet and Coffee bar. Definitely visit here again if there’s no sales pitch about Le Blanc. Be careful with hotel credit. We ended up not using it at all to avoid sales pitches. Trust me, you can enjoy staying here without those credit. Everything was great otherwise.

Our stay at Sun Palace was phenomenal. We felt SO welcomed right from the start, the resort is gorgeous, and staff are attentive, kind, and aim to go above and beyond. We looked forward to seeing Raul’s friendly face at the front desk each day, and Daniel our beach waiter! Sun Palace left no stone unturned in the way of comfort, and we just had the greatest time! We had the pleasure of seeing the Caribbean show the first night of our stay, and we were so impressed at the talent and energy of the performers! We are already talking about when we can return.

The service is outstanding. The rooms are clean, the food is wonderful. For an all inclusive resort they go above and beyond to take care of you. Honestly my wife and I wanted to be able to relax and this place is doing it. Our stress level dropped from a 9 to a 1 by simply getting an excellent night sleep, excellent room service, and the getting to enjoy the beach or lounge in the pools.

Recent stay at SunPalace (week of Nov 13th) We are not “resort people” but this is our third stay at SunPalace so they are clearly doing more than one thing right! From the incredibly friendly staff, the gorgeous aesthetics to the great restaurants, EVERYTHING feels luxurious and is very well maintained. It is clearly well managed and the staff shows pride in their work and makes the guests feel welcome and appreciated. Asking the staff for drinks, towels, umbrellas, any assistance at all, is met with a friendly, receptive demeanour. We observed many times the staff spontaneously offering guests help with carrying food/drinks to their table in the buffet, or a helping hand up the stairs from the beach, a caring attitude prevails here! The location is ~10 minutes from the airport and the “Palace” APP is excellent and easy to use On a side note, at checkout we learned that an error had been made and somehow a $40 charge to our room had occurred. SunPalace’s PR team helped investigate this and the charge was removed and numerous apologies were received. This is how “customer service” can make the save and is just another example of how well things are done at this resort. We will be back for sure so stop reading this review and make your reservation now! :D

I booked a week long stay here for our honeymoon. When I got the confirmation it was for July and not the middle of September! I immediately called the hotel and they transferred me to the right people and corrected the booking for the middle of September! My wife and I had an amazing time here! I had my doubts about coming here in September, but I’ve learned it’s still hot and the ocean is still nice and beautiful. It wasn’t that busy in September, so reserving dinner at a restaurant wasn’t an issue. Overall we were both really impressed by this resort and palace resorts in general. But I would say the vibe is definitely for older couples. We don’t drink alcohol and everyone was very accommodating and respectful of that. Pros: - No timeshare pitch - Release baby green turtles - Restaurants were fantastic - David Magee the mentalist show was an amazing entertainment for the night - As honeymooners I felt like they gave us excellent service - Mexican singer during breakfast was amazing and sang classic Mexican songs beautifully - A specialized romantic dinner Cons: - Pools close at 7:30pm (we were kicked out multiple times) and no hot tub - Room service food isn’t the best quality and can be slow (not the best for staying-in in the morning, the food at restaurants is much better) - The resort doesn’t turn its lights off for turtle release. - A little seaweed on the beach and in the ocean (however the resort cleaned it up daily)

My wife and I just came back from a 4 day vacation and we were absolutely blown away with everything Sun Palace had to offer for us. The service was magnificent. The food was delicious and with the all inclusive package from Costco Travel we saved a lot of money on our dining options. The atmosphere was nothing short of amazing and elegance. This was just the beginning of a new chapter of travel for our family. We will definitely be returning with longer stays and recommend anyone who is seeking a beautiful getaway vacation to give Sun Palace a try. One of the best vacation experiences of our life.

This is just what my wife and I needed. We loved this quiet adults only getaway during the off peak season in Cancun. There is no beach better and the view from our room was unbelievable. The food at Fuego was our favorite. Aaron was a phenomenal server and the concierge Marisol was a treat. The entertainment at night was impressive. Whatever you do, don't miss the fire show if you get the chance. We took advantage of the spa and Eric made the whole experience so relaxing. It was small but that was part of the allure. All in all we had an amazing time.

My husband and I recently went to Sun Palace on our honeymoon and I've never been so impressed with a resort. We were served everything we needed in a matter of seconds (quite literally). We ordered room service and it was there right away. Every single worker was so incredibly nice and happy, making our experience the best it could be. They recommended activities nearby, had games by the pool, the food was INCREDIBLE and the servers were so amazing and kind. My husband and I recommend Sun Palace to everybody we talk to. It's the best of the best, no doubt. They give you the highest quality experience and nothing less.

I’d give 10 stars if it was an option. The service at any Palace Resort is exceptional. Not a single complaint. They treat you like family they haven’t seen in awhile. The food is amazing, no matter what it is. The beach is crystal clear, clean and never to crowded. If you want peace and quiet, they have two pools just for that away from the daily activities, which is also really fun, no matter your age. It’s a must try out resort for any couple!

  • 1/5 Kym K. 1 year ago on Google
The resort is amazing! The service is extremely poor! If you are a young couple that like to mingle and have fun with other young couples such as fun activities, vibe, this is not the place. This is for older retried couples. Don’t waste your money or time. It’s going to be I told you so! This resort is not customer service friendly. I encountered rude staff members or the attitude of so what don’t come back. It’s definitely beautiful but the customer service will bring the traffic down sooner or later! If you are ok staying somewhere beautiful but with extremely bad customer service this is the place for you! Read the reviews

We started our honeymoon adventure with a few nights at this all-inclusive. Staff is friendly, and the room was awesome with a great view of the ocean. Upon arrival they greet you at the counter with smiles and juice. There's beach access, and multiple pools with tons of amenities. Food isn't bad, but it's not the best. The only issue we had was at one of their 'restaurants', but that was honestly just a worker having a bad day attempting to pass those bad vibes onto us. Definitely worth spending a few days.

Adult only resort (18+), so very romantic and quiet. If you are escaping from your kids at home, this hotel is for you!! :-) Location: Bus stop right outside, $1 USD to reach any spot along the hotel zone. Also close to many excursions if you choose to explore outside of Cancun. Service: Super friendly staff, patient and attentive. Shout out to Mario in Aurora restaurant, Eduardo in La Tratto, Javier and Geraldo in Thai restaurant. They made our stay feel very special. Activities: Great amenities (gym, fast internet, infinity pools, clean beach, volleyball...etc), nightly shows, great restaurants in building, and last but not least, super awesome spa!! We did not even turn on the TV once in the room. Room: View from most of the rooms can see beautiful sunrise and sunset on the beach. Walk out balcony let you enjoy the view without leaving your room. Did I mention they have a big Jacuzzi in the room with full view of the ocean? Memorable experience: Lastly, hotel beach front is sea turtle (mostly green turtles) nesting spot. In the May timeframe, you see many turtle mamas come on the beach starting around 10pm to lay eggs. In the August timeframe, you will see baby turtles dashing for the ocean early in the dawn hours, but lots of hotel staff will collect them from the beach and put them in boxes first. Later to release them at night time to protect them from predators (freaking sea birds). Great experience!!

The Sun Palace is the perfect hotel for a getaway. It's conveniently located close to the airport, far from family hotels, and has an amazing beach! Food was very yummy and we specially enjoyed the cafe & sweets stand inside the resort. Our server Chantal was beyond amazing and took care of us all weekend with food and drinks at the beach. Best all inclusive experience I've had in Cancun.

Spent 5 nights recently - this is our third time going to an all inclusive. The service at Sun Palace is fantastic and the beach is amazing. It’s a smaller resort with a more intimate vibe. Overall it was pretty quiet too which we enjoyed. The drinks were also good and during the day we had a great time playing volleyball. We did an ATV excursion that I would avoid - the ATV and Cenote tour is definitely not worth it. The food was good but not great - our favorite was probably the Thai restaurant, and we really enjoyed the food at the pool.

Lovely place and very friendly service. Was here for a wedding and they really took care of their guests. Service on the beach can sometimes be slow but overall it was good. Would be great if there were more entertainment options outside of the lobby bar. Also some of the bartenders don't know how to make some drinks or they don't follow some directions (like requests for no ice). Some of the food can be extremely salty! That being said, the coffee shop has really great cold brew and sweets and the Thai restaurant is probably the best option out of all the restaurants! Love the bar included inside of the rooms and also love the access to room service available after hours. If you need food at 4AM, they got it! Overall, great option for couples looking to just relax and stay in one place without desire on venturing out... however if you're looking for more entertainment outside of just eating, being by the pool or hanging on the beach, you may want to visit some of the other resorts on the strip.

We loved our stay here! Service, entertainment, food, & drinks were excellent! My only “complaints” is that according to their page they offer “non motorized water sports” such as snorkeling gear. So we didn’t buy/pack any. They in fact do not have those or had any idea what I was talking about. And I wish they had seltzer beer or more sugar free drink options. I see a lot of talk about the sales pitches. To us, that’s their job! Once we let them know we were there to relax and had zero interest they didn’t bug us. Everyone was amazing! Especially Joshua, Diego & Sophia and Oscar, Daniel, Enrique, Hector, & Manuel! Thank you for making this an amazing vacation!!

Most compatible beds and rooms. Excellent staff, delicious food choices, awesome gym and Spa. My sister and I had a great time. I loved the coffee sweet bar. Yum

After staying at a Palace resort for the second time, my husband and I really enjoyed our stay. The staff was so kind and nice, especially when we needed something. The sweets and coffee bar is amazing and Alexis is such a sweet and fabulous barista! She always had a smile on her face and went above and beyond every day. The resort is smaller, but there’s always something to do. The food was really good too!

I had a great time overall. The only things I did not like: 1. The spa and massages are too expensive. We did not feel like going to the other hotel for a sales pitch for spa credit. Time is limited on vacation. The spa should just be more affordable. 2. I was overall disappointed in the snorkeling trip that we booked in the lobby. It was hours and hours of driving, picking people up at other hotels, driving, waiting in a parking lot for the tour guide to get snorkeling gear, more driving. We really only had 15-20 minutes to see all the beautiful fish before we were told we leave for the long drive back. I want the snorkeling option where we don't have to go so far and can snorkel for a longer duration. Buyer beware, might not be worth your limited vacation time. 3. Generally the drinks were good, but sometimes they were on the weaker side. I guess I could have "pregamed" with the hotel room booze but I would prefer just getting a the well made drink that I already paid for. 4. As we were leaving we were pitched some $300 investment toward a cheaper Palace resort vacation later in the year. A lot of numbers were thrown around and I was confused / concerned with getting to the airport. Just make it easier and e-mail a time limited coupon. Overall I would like to say Thank You for a nice vacation.

Sun Palace was perfect. The food is gourmet and very high quality. I have travelled around the globe and stayed in many places bit the service here was impecable. From the front desk staff, the restaurant staff, the pool staff they were incredible. I am very impressed with the hotel itself, it was perfect! Everything we needed was available plus more! Note: This hotel is listed as adults only, we did see a lot of +60 people and the pool areas are some times too calm! It is a great place to relax and enjoy peace and quiet.

This was our second visit and it was another great stay. Staff was once again very nice and helpful with check in/out going smoothly. Pool/beach staff for drinks and food was always quick and friendly. Nice coffee/cake/ice cream bar too. The main hotel bar inside has a massive TV that takes up most of one of the main walls so it was great to watch the Astros game on it. Sometimes all inclusive resorts can be hit or miss with the food, but pretty much everything we had was very very tasty. The breakfast buffet had a great spread with a good amount of options + a nice omelette bar for custom orders. You could sit inside or outside as well. The rooms were spacious and well appointed with nice sized balconies and great view of ocean. Big flat screen TV as well with good channel line up. It's a smaller property so it has more of a boutique feel to it as opposed to a massive hotel feel, which we prefer. The only thing that my wife and I did not like (and this was different the last time we were there) was that a certain part of the pool area was reserved for Diamond Club members by name in the early morning. I don't have a problem with Club members having a special designated area of some kind, but in my opinion, too much pool seating was taken up for this. (of the 3 pools there, only one did this though). We are early risers so we wanted to get down early to get a seat, but couldn't grab space in the prime area. That being said, once they decided to leave and a space opened up, anyone could sit in the area. Again, not a deal breaker as there is enough space for everybody, but if you happen to get up early I think it should be first come/first serve. That being said, it was a great stay and we'll most likely be back.

This place was all we wanted it to be and more. There are reserved 'Diamond' member tables at functions and possibly restaurants as well as their own section of beach in front of the main pool. Main pool does have more access to food and drinks with swim up bar. They do have entertainers and volleyball in pool at times. Entertainment on beach some nights, lobby bar guitarist was amazing. Thai restaurant was good but confusing with staff they had things were not clear. Italian was fantastic as well as the other two restaurants. We'll be back.

This was our third time coming to Sun palace because we became elite members if that tells you anything. Our room was very clean and pleasant with an ocean view. The service is excellent with a smile. If you lack anything you just have to ask. The food at the restaurants are very good but 3 restaurants is not enough of a variety if you're staying a week or longer. If you want a good lounge by the pool you have to go down very early in the morning but we mainly stayed at the beach. Take some tip $$$ with you to make your stay super special. This is not a 5 star resort but I gave it 5 stars because it's a great value for the price.

I don’t normally leave reviews but my boyfriend and I both agreed sun palace deserves one! We went for our anniversary and we are a younger couple (25&26). From the moment we arrived we were impressed by the decor of the lobby and let me not forget to mention how close it was to the airport! It was about a 10-15 minute drive. The check in was quick and easy. Our room was AMAZING, we had the presidential suite and it was spectacular. All of the restaurants are great but our favorites were Thai and Fuego! The buffet was great too. Everyone was helpful and very nice. MAKE SURE YOU TIP! You can tell they are working their absolute hardest to make sure your experience is a pleasure. The pools are nice and don’t get too crowded. The room service is also quick! One thing is that I wish there was more activities for younger crowds, but I can’t complain too much since the majority of the vacationers are older. If we ever come back to Cancun sun palace is where we’ll be staying!
