I shopped there in January, and initially had two concerns. When I was looking at my credit card balance, I thought that they charged me more than they were supposed for the stuff that I bought so I reached out, and the representative kindly provided me with the copy of the receipt so that was taken care of. However, when I voiced my other concern that the chain with the pendant that they promoted as silver was not silver at all and actually gave me dermatitis, they stopped replying to my messages. The person who helped us was less than professional as well, telling stories how she was unhappy with her husband and his beer drinking problem. The whole thing seems like a scam, the assistants give too much information to build a sense of trust (I guess) and sell you fake things you don't need while you are sipping on tequila. Just beware, they will charge you an arm and a leg for poor quality jewelries. I would not recommend and totally support other customers who gave them a bad review. Re: you did not send any proof to my mail that the chain is silver as you state in your response or I did not receive it yet. You also did not offer to send it back for a refund in communication with me via email. You offered no solution whatsoever so far. I will be happy to update this review once you offer a solution and we come to an agreement. Thank you for your response.

To be very honest, my partner, and I was deceived from the jump by our hotel concierge. It was advertised as a Tequila Tasting tour, but the tequila tasting part was literally only 30secs of the entire four hour excursion. The entire time we were there, they were just forcing us to buy stuff and spend large sums of money. To our excitement we did purchase the Mayans necklaces and a so-called exclusive tequila, which by the way, I don’t know if they lied about that or not. We were told all the jewelry was pure silver, and that the gold color was lasered and not dipped and should last longer.. the next day we go to the beach and the golf part of the pendants changed colors immediately. I had my suspicions in the beginning of that part of the “excursion”, but gave them the benefit of the doubt. After noticing the necklaces, change colors, I googled them to further investigate, I read the reviews and everybody had a similar experience as we did. Overall, our trip to Cancun was far less relaxing and more so about dodging people trying to scam us and take our hard earned money. Nevertheless, do not come here especially if your hotel/resort is advertising a “tequila tasting tour” for free.

This shop has an extensive variety of jewelry and various artifact displayed on two floor levels. Since we visited as part of a resort organized trip, we were given an intriguing presentation on tequilas and had a tasting session also. I tried out some unique tequila flavors which I enjoyed so much that I purchased some bottles for my trip home. Customer service was also great.

Live and learn! High pressure and of course your on vacation with your guard down. Lots of promises.Do your research or give yourself a day before you take that leap! We did things backwards! Do not let the appraisal fool you! Purchased a “ rare” Piece of Jewelry there… We found the stone to be a lower grade we also found a larger carat with better clarity actually on line for about $1,500 less! Hey try Costco!! But I would not recommend here! I can’t believe it’s beside a JW Marriott!

The tasting looked ok but I don't drink. The jewelry was nice but felt pushed to purchase something. I really did enjoy seeing what was on display and probably would have bought something but it was a very interesting sales staff that made me feel rushed to purchase something.

The staff was very friendly here. Tucked away luxury mall we found while on tour with souvenir, famous named brand sunglasses, jewelry and such.

Do not buy here if you are American because they sold me cubic zirconium. I bought a bracelet with diamonds and amethyst and when I got it appraised it was amethyst and cubic zirconium. They wanted to charge me over $2000 for it. The worst part is Hilton has a contract with them.

Sell fake jewelry and fake Cuban cigars. Idk why they’re in a big hotel like Marriott but stay away. Street vendors have more legit items.

We bought some bracelets that they said was over 1500.00 worth of jewelry but amazingly they were able to bring the price down to 500.00! We also received a free necklace pendant that was ingraved in Mayan symbols and glyphs that they said was my wife’s initials! We’re not Mayan, but, we appreciate the culture so much! All we wanted was to exchange the pendant for something we can understand and able to read! Needless to say Maria blew a GASKET and assumed we were being prejudice and direspectful! We were so hurt! We’re visiting cause we love the culture. Also, the manager will come out to make and sell and get your credit card, but, if there’s a problem with ANYTHING! He’ll refuse to see you….of course!

We were brought here as part of a shopping tour. It was a very awkward experience with staff following you around everywhere and commenting on anything you glance at. The tequila tasting was interesting but the tequila they were selling was mostly there house brand and was hard to judge if you were getting value for your money. We were told we would have a 50% discount on most items, however the prices were super inflated so no deals to be found.

We went for a tequila tasting it was lovely. There was alot of information and we were able to try some very good tequilas. We bought a couple of bottles of really good tequila to bring home, No complaints there. Unfortunately my husband was sold a Box of counterfeit Cuban cigars! The upscale environment led you to believe that it couldn't be possible but we got burned. And it makes me question whether or not the other designer goods are true designer and not just more fakes. Go for the tequila but for everything else buyer beware!

Great place, their tequila tasting events are a must attend if you're in Cancun.

We went here because it was part of our excursion. The tequila tasting was quicker than I was expecting, then they bring you downstairs and the salesmen are super pushy. If you don't buy anything they tell you to go sit upstairs. Don't you think giving me space and letting me look around will make me more interested in buying something? I don't enjoy being followed and questioned when I'm shopping. The jewely is too flashy and cheap looking for my taste anyways. I was here for the tequila. The place comes off VERY scammy and fake. "Business" or not you made me overall uncomfortable.

Spent some time here last week. Husband enjoyed the tequila, i enjoyed the jewelry. They have such beautiful art. It is a high pressure sales environment, but i feel like that is expected going in as the area survives on tourist $$. I got a beautiful zulanite ring that changes colors and will be returning here for a custom engagement ring when the time is right!

I bought a blue “topaz” ring from this place while on vacation in Cancun. I didn’t like the setting so I went to a local jeweler when I got home. I learned the gem was in fact glass. I’m out $180. Do not waste your time and money. It’s unfortunate a JW Marriott would let a fraudulent place like this operate on its property.

We stumbled upon this place after having dinner at the Marriott. We got such an amazing deal. My boyfriend got me a set of my birth stone. Beautiful blue opal, bracelet, earrings and ring. On top of that the resize my eternity band. All that for what I was getting charged at my local jewelry in Chicago. Every one was attentive, professional, impeccable service. This has been one of the places we have saved for our next trip back to Cancun. Thank you everyone at International Jewelry Center.

OMG!!! I just want to say my experience with International Jeweler is something that needs to be rated.. My husband purchased my engagement ring over 2 years ago in Cancun Mexico. I live in NYC and my ring needed to be clean and some restoring done... Immediately they put me in contact with Mr Arto @ there Customer Care Center in Florida.. He was gracious and kind and restored my ring back to its Original Look within a week.. My rating is a 5 plus. THANK YOU MR. ARTO

If I could give 0/5 starts I would! FAKE DIAMONDS! We were recently in Cancun and went through a tour and came to your jewelry store and purchase multiple items! One item being a beautiful amethyst diamond bracelet is what we were told! We got this bracelet for my mother! And when we got home and tried to get it appraised, we found out it was cubic zirconium not Diamond! We paid for diamonds not cubic zirconium! Never once did you say cubic zirconium you said this is diamonds ! It’s unbelievable and false advertising and lying! Telling your customer that they are getting something that they didn’t get it unbelievable! I have never been so disappointed in a company! The employees sell your fake diamonds while making a drink tequila! I’ve heard so many horrible reviews and horrible costumer service ! The employees try to create a trusting environment while they sell your fake diamonds in cubic zirconium! CUBIC ZIRCONIUM ! They ““ make you a deal, but then end up ripping you off more! Never spend your money here! 0/5
