    If I could give this "hospital" negative stars I would. If this is the best place Mexico could come up with for a hospital, I am second guessing their judgment skills. At this "hospital", they don't do anything unless you pay them first, even if you are in a life or death situation. They are only focused on money and don't care about their patients. I am disgusted at their morals and highly recommend that you stay away from this "hospital".

    I needed am emergency procedure while in Cancun and went to Amerimed because it was the closest and had good reviews. I felt like I received excellent and responsive care. Very professional - I was the only person in the waiting room - so it wasn't like back home... the procedure took about an hour in total - cost was $1,500 US, which I am confident I will recover most if not all from health insurance. Yes you pay up front, but can you imagine how many people would bounce if they didn't....

    Wow wow wow .... I went there with My kids for some ear problem... I receive very good advise and the doctor and the team was very professional... they do not work with your international insurance bur if you pay with credit card you have a very good services... I think we where in an out in 60 min and did spend 40 with the doctor... for 120$/us this is a great deal to me... little english ... but you find what you need... I would recommand without hesitation!

    Great place to get Covid tested, you can either make an appointment through email or make an appointment at the hospital. Very easy and smooth process. They are currently offering antigen testing for $25 ($500 pesos), which will let you fly to most countries including the USA. And if you need a PCR test they are offering that for $100 ($2,000 pesos) . I received the antigen test and had the results and paperwork in 3 hours. They will also email you the results as soon as they are ready if you don’t want to wait and are able to print it off. I really hope this helps!!

    Pésimo servicio de urgencias (turno de la noche 21 de junio, 2023), solo saben decir que ellas no pueden dar informes porque no saben nada, estas esperando durante 8 horas o más y no dan ningún informe de los pacientes a los familiares violando el derecho a la información, siendo el paciente una persona de la tercera edad que entró a cirugía. Sugiero se les capacite en sus funciones laborales, comunicación efectiva (entre areas internas) y educación de como dirigirse menos déspota a los familiares que necesitan información de la salud/vida de sus pacientes.

    Mala atención por parte de la que esta atendiendo en ventanilla, (Urgencias) siempre con mala cara y casi regañando a medio mundo, si no les gusta su trabajo que se vayan a amargar a su casa, la gente va por que se siente mal o esta enferma y espera de atención medica no esta ahí esperando por gusto, al menos que el trato sea amable.

    3/17/19 my mother in law fell breaking her wrist while in Cancun. We found ourselves taking an ambulance ride to Merimed. We've never had to go to hospital in a Foreign country before. So when my daughter got on here and was reading some of the comments. It sent us into a panic. I called the U.S consulate to get some advice. Here's what they told me. A private hospital is where they would take their own mother. The money they make you secure before a Dr. Is called is NORMAL procedure for them. The hospital does not bill your insurance for you. Get a itemized bill before you leave their hospital. Your insurance will not accept anything else when you file for reimbursement. Everyone at Merimed was kind and respectful of my mother and myself. We are very thankful for everything they did for her. A huge lesson was learned this year. I hope our experience will keep you calm during yours.

    My elderly mom fell while we were on vacation right before we were leaving. The hotel doctor asked me to go to Amerimed for an Xray and possible CT scan before we flew home the next day. It was a Friday night and I envisioned chaos (from my NY hospital experience). It was a mere 2 hours from the time I left the hotel and my return. The doctors and nurses were knowledgeable, quick and efficient. We didn't really wait much at all. It's more like an urgent care than a hospital from what I saw. I spoke a little Spanish but they also spoke English well. They did not try to oversell any of their products (they completely agreed we could pass on $2000 CT scan) and were upfront about the costs. I was really pleasantly surprised.
