Ocean Dental Cancun is an exceptional dental practice that I have had the pleasure of visiting twice for extensive dental work. Horrible experience here. Ocean Dental boasts about a great dentist, but when you arrive, that dentist is nowhere to be found. It's the good old 'bait and switch'. And the novice dentists that DO see you, scare you with all sorts of work they say need done. I went in for a filling and they wanted to do extra root canals on a couple different teeth, and that would mean I'd need to come back for crowns eventually. Thankfully I knew better and didn't have them do them. They really really pressured me, then started trying to lower the price of the root canals, trying to talk me into them. Since then, I've asked every dentist I've been to, and all of them say I don't need root canals. Also, Ocean Dental in Cancun kept saying my x rays would be emailed to me, and even with reminders, they never gave me access to my x rays. This place is sketchy, avoid at all costs!!!

My teeth were an absolute disaster when I contacted CDS/Ocean Dental Cancun. I was given an estimate of approximately $70,000 in the Chicago for the repairs that I needed. I sent my dental plan to CDS and they quoted me a price of $18,000 for the same work. I was reluctant at first, but after reading the online reviews, I decided to take a chance. I went down in September 2016 and had 18 root canals, 6 teeth pulled, and bone grafts on top. I received crowns on all of my bottom teeth on the first visit, and was sent home with a temporary on the top while the bone grafts healed. I just returned on January 29, 2018 for the last phase to get the permanent teeth on top. See the photograph below. I can't stress enough how happy I am with the work. I'm too embarrassed to post a picture of what my teeth looked like before, but they were BAD. Dr. Irma, Dr. Jennifer (forget her last name), and most recently, Dr. Moran (spelling), and the entire staff were so accommodating and professional throughout the entire experience. The facility is clean, with state-of-the-art equipment - nicer facility than the location in Chicago that was going to charge me $70,000. Regarding the actual physical location - it's right in the Hotel Zone - so absolutely zero safety concerns. CDS picked me up from the airport and took me to my hotel, and they would pick me up at my hotel for my appointments, and give me a ride back to my hotel after my appointment. Thank you so much, Dr. Irma and staff - what you've done for me is absolutely life-changing!!

I thoroughly researched international dental clinics for a full mouth restoration. Ocean Dental professionals are superb in their diagnosis and treatment plans. Their teams of dentists, endodontists, periodontists, oral surgeons and technicians work as a team. I arranged a 1.5 week treatment plan for my entire mouth. The work is superb. The owner who is a graduate of Univ of Michigan Dentistry personally checks each of her doctors work with one final inspection conducted at the end. The follow up returning to the states is incredible.

These folks are outstanding. I made an appointment to get crowns on my two front teeth. They did a full examination and determined that it pups not be a good idea as I have some underlying issues that need to be addressed first. They could have just did the job and took the money but they are true pros and made me feel comfortable the whole way. Highly recommended honest operation. Thanks!

Great service they come and pick you at your hotel and drop you off safely. They do an initial exam which is $80 before they develop a treatment plan. Everything is explained well and pricing is discussed before you get your dental work done. I had some fillings done $70 which was amazing as well as a deep cleaning for $80, for the cost of one filling in the states with dental insurance I was able to get my entire treatment. Facility is top notch with the latest technology and Doctors are professional. Dr.Jasmine was diligent and does quality work. No complaints at all my mouth and teeth look and feel amazing.

I give 3 I got done, 3 bridges of 3 teeth, 2 molars root canal, and 13 crowns !!! Yes, most people of your staff smile, but a few could work on it, really. ( mostly some of the dentist assistants ) Dentist and receptionist are great. Yes, patient seems to be happy, in general, of their experience. Mostly people going for all implants ( that i talked to ), which i was considering. At my first appointment, i met with two dentist. They recommended, since i had good roots, that i go for bridges, crowns, and roots canal. And i felt i had to decide with that little info. NOBODY ever told me what it would imply to get so many crowns and bridges, at all !!! It's been over 3.5 months and i still have unpleasant feeling when eating or drinking cold or hot !! I can chew only where i got the root canal. Nobody said anything about that, to help me take my decision. I was told that it would take time to get use to my two upper front bridges. Nobody explained me why ! I had to go to my dentist office in Alberta, where i've learned that, no, there is no gap between teeth. So saliva and air can't go through, so this is why my tongue needs to adapt. And i've also learned that, yes it will take time to heal. Some may take more time. And some may never heal, so i may need root canal. Also i use to eat red grapes and Gala apple almost every day. Now it creates a sour effect in my mouth. Nobody told me the potential of having all those treatments in 2 weeks. I was clear at the beginning that i was there for two weeks. Fortunately i had planned an extra week to relax. In that third week, i had to go three times and sit on the chair. My two upper front bridges had to be redone twice plus a third time for polish. Also a single crown had to be redone twice. I'm a bit surprise ! I thought you had the right equipment and the proper formed staff. I am convinced that running your business, with so many customers and staff, must be a heck of a challenge. And again, i believe that most patient are happy. But i also believe that your plate may be too full. And caught in the game of; '' thirst for money''. And that may prevent the clinic from offering a 'service with better considerations. Is it possible that the clinic had to fill the schedule of the dentist that did the job on me ?? If yes, that means that the clinic didn't have MY interest at hearth when i had such a short time to take my decision. I know the dentists that worked on me did an overall good job. But i believe it could have been easily a better experience. So that's it. I give time to heal, and future will tell.

I just had all my teeth crowned with all ceramic zirconium at Ocean Dental Cancun by Dr. Hugo Zamora. I am so happy with the end result! Clean, professional and everyone spoke English. Made an appointment for 10 am, When we arrived I was told my appointment was at 11:30. After waiting I was told they didn’t have the zoom whitening I made the appointment for. I would have to make another appointment at another location. Wasted half a day for nothing!

I have been a patient here for about two years - and the service just keeps getting better and better! I had an appointment on June 12, for adjustments to or replacement of my dentures. The transportation provided was on time, efficient and courteous, and the drive was swift and uneventful - the driver was a very safe driver. My appointment began within 5 minutes of arriving at the clinic, which is an improvement from past visits. They worked very hard to adjust my existing dentures and make them fit perfectly - I am so happy and can eat just about anything again! I was worried I would be looking at the cost of new dentures but they were able to fix my existing ones - so nice cost savings there. I highly recommend Ocean Dental Cancun to anyone looking to have any type of dental work done - Dr. Irma is amazing!!

Precision dental has excellent customer service, when I walk in the office they instantly greet me by name, and are always extremely courteous. Aside from that Dr is awesome, so much care was taken in my dental procedures. Highly recommended to anyone!

I first went to this wonderful clinic a couple years ago and was so impress with the staff and professionals that I make a point of now going at least twice a year they are such great people they make you feel like family. The service is unlike any other from picking you up at the airport to the pick up and return to your resort even the drivers are so friendly and helpful I recommend this clinic to every one they are the best of the best

Okay, no one likes going to the dentist but....this was the least painful dental experience for my husband and I in so many ways! Our xrays and check up were free! We saw a specialist for crowns, one for a bridge and another for root canals. My first root canal and it was virtually painless. The dentist even kept telling me to close my mouth to rest it when he was not doing work inside my mouth. The cost was about 1/3 of what we would have paid in Calgary. The customer service was incredible from being picked up at the airport and then transported back and forth to the office from our hotel to the fact that they did everything in the power to make sure that all of our work was done in 2 1/2 days as we were taking off to the island after that for our holiday. Their office was clean, staff were professional, technology was up to date and sometimes surpassed what we have at home. The follow up once we got home was great. They kept calling until they made contact with me to make sure we were happy with the results of their work. Yes, you have to realize that you may have to wait in the waiting room for a while for your appointment, so come prepared with your iphone or a book and relax...you are on holiday. Yes, you may not always get the same dentist or specialist, so you need to be open to that but they are all well trained and competent. And at all times there was someone in the room with us that spoke English. And, my temporaries which I had on a total of less than 24 hours, were beautiful! But the final product...outstanding. So 16 crowns (my mouth was a mess with decay), 1 root canal and three fillings for me. My husband got a two crowns, a root canal, a bridge, deep scaling and teeth whitening We are super happy with the results and will continue to use them as our main dentist.We get to go on vacation and go to the dentist each year now. So now, I actually like going to the dentist!

Had 7 crowns and root canal, cleaning ,whitening in January 2018 and so far so good, saved money and got a suntan all transportation provided everyone was very nice they worked long hrs to make sure everyone got taken care of .Would recommend mucho gracias

I recently had work done and had a positive experience. First, they did a full exam on arrival to determine exactly what I needed. We were able to prioritize my top concerns. I will say that you should make sure to have enough time. I only had 3 days and it didn’t leave a lot of time to enjoy Cancun. The work was high quality and the staff was really kind. They were very patient with me. I will say we did run into an issue doing my root canal where the lidocaine would not take and we had to stop.. It was sorted out the following day but did end up being a waste of time. That was the only negative aspect of my experience. All in all it was positive and I would recommend to others.

Wonderful friendly staff and dentists / assistants particularly Dr. Martha and Teresa the dental assistant provided an amazing experience for me they were very understanding, gentle and made sure I was comfortable and taken care of throughout the whole procedure literally both of these ladies are amazing individuals 5/5. Cancun dental specialists truly provide great quality work and care about their patients. I highly recommend this Dental clinic!

Traveling in Cancun with my 82 year old Mother who unfortunately experienced a dental emergency. Able to get same day appointment and staff was friendly, and able to "fix" her tooth. Thanks for being both nice and competent . Bonus was ride back to hotel. Thanks again!

My tooth started to hurt while I was on my vacation. Went to this clinic because of the good reviews, now I think they are all fake. They supposedly fixed my root canal infection and put a crown in. One month later the gums arount the tooth started to get swollen and bleed. I went to my local dentist and turns out the infection is still there and the crown they put in is totally wrong for me it's too big and thats causing the swelling. Paid 1000$ for them to double the problems I had. Worst dentist ever. The response to clinics reply below: The clinic wrote me an email, but I will not respond, there is no point in sharing my records to my local doctor, they already see what this clinic dentists have done to me. Thanks, I will get the best care now that I am not at this clinic.

This place is beyond belief. Every single thing I asked for she considered and she went over every detailed the option. Dental estimates in the US was around $30,000; her staff of doctors, oral surgeons, and cosmetic dentistry, ( she even maintains her own clinic and quality control ) did everything for less than five. AND i spent a glorious month in Playa Del Carmen A $700 a month Airbnb, and they sent a driver to pick me up for every appointment. Absolutely puts the US to shame

Absolutely fantastic! I feel so blessed to have gone with cancun dental for implants, and full upper and lower zirconia teeth! They gave me my life back. The work they did is second to none at a price that cant come close to matching in the United States. The key is to stay positive throughout the process. The final result is so worth it! Do Not recommend this practice. Was referred to them by a prospective patient and took great care to read the reviews. I am a highly informed dental patient with extensive work done by expert dentists in the U.S. I sent them a full set of xrays, panoramic/whole mouth xray, intra oral pictures of my teeth, even a 3D scan. The patient coordinator is good about getting back to you on time however after about a week (and I have an urgent case) and I still haven't heard back. I asked specifically to speak to the main doctor as my case is advanced and needs an expert eye. Again, AFTER A WEEK she did not get back to me. Spoke to the patient coordinator whom I reached out to, today, who said "The doctor is VERY busy and cannot give you a treatment plan, however if you tell us what needs to be done we will happily do it for you". WHAT?!? Also that the doctor looked at my xrays 'briefly' on the weekend but 'didnt have time to get into it" and I should really come in for a consult. I am in the U.S. and to fly to Cancun to some fly by night shop that cannot take the time to look at a patients records is crazy. DO NOT COME HERE! Imagine that kind of work they do if they want other dentists treatment plans

I can not say in words how AMAZING of an experience I had. I needed a lot of work. 2 root canals, 6 crowns with some posts, and 2 apicoectomies (dental surgeries). I have never had an apicoctomy and was so scared, i started crying in the chair. The surgeon was so nice, so gentle as was her associate. Everything about this place is amazing, from the cost savings to the US, the top rate equipment, they taxi you to/from airport and your hotel (huge savings) and there are no BS charges. If something comes up after your treatment plan is decided the financial planner comes in, goes over the cost, and its done. There is no waiting for appointments because they have all the specialists on site. AND they have a lab that works 24 hours a day making the crowns etc. Honestly, I am considering flying here 1x per year for my routine checkup. Much of the work I needed was because things were missed in my checkups in the US (I have moved a few times so have seen various dentists). In the US the cost is around $250 and they always find something they need to fix, which is waiting 6 weeks and then another $200. For $250 I can fly here, pay $60 and have a checkup and a quick vacay. Also if you are lucky enough to have insurance they can work with you on that as well. Honestly stop reading reviews and book, you will not be disappointed!

I had a great experience at Ocean Dental....the staff is friendly and professional and the doctors are excellent. Their facilities are just as good or better than here in the states. I highly recommend this clinic for anyone needing dental work. And you cannot beat the prices, just about half the cost you might pay elsewhere.

My wife and I both had extensive dental work at Ocean Dental and were extremely pleased with the service. I had a 3 tooth Bridge replaced at the cost of $1,200 as opposed to $5,000 it would have cost me in the United States. My my wife's bite was in bad shape. w Her bottom teeth were biting into the roof of her mouth. So she had 18 crowns replaced and everything was adjusted to line up perfectly. We probably saved at least $15,000 or more on that service. However it is not just the money savings that is important. It is the fine facility and skilled dentists that do the work. Everything is state-of-the-art. They also pick you up at the airport, take you back to the airport, and transport you back and forth to your hotel for your appointments. Our contact person was Lindsay and she made arrangements for a hotel and transportation. She is great to deal with and I have come to think of her as a friend. While we prefer other parts of Mexico, as Cancun is more like Miami than Mexico, we find it to be a very safe place and economical, if you stay out of the all-inclusive hotels. We had an excellent hotel for about $50 per day.

This dental clinic is awesome. No dental work is "fun", but the care and attention given by every member of the staff was comforting. They arranged to pick us up at the airport and take us straight to the clinic. When the appointment was over, they provided transportation to our hotel. They picked us up for our subsequent appointments and delivered us back to our hotel. We were informed of everything necessary and were told the charges prior to the work being completed. We felt safe in having our dental work at this out of our country location.

I have purposely waited for 4 yrs before posting my review of my experience and total satisfaction of the dental restoration performed by Dr. Irma Gavaldon ( U.N.A.M University of Michigan ) and her capable and friendly staff. Firstly a $42,000 quote in the US for 8 implants, 16 crowns, added FDA approved bone, sinus surgery and various other dental procedures cost me $13,500. Since then I have had no issues, pain, discomfort or discoloration at all. As many others have mentioned their friendly and accommodating style of service is what makes them and their clinic the success that they are. Behind the scenes both Andy and Benny make up the backbone of this formidable team. Thank you and thank you again for your caring and professional approach for the service you provide
