A pretty small aquarium but worth it for US$15 admission fee. The dolphin experience is quite good even though I do not agree with dolphins in captivity, I can tell they’re very well taken care of. Full muscular bodies, bright eyes, and very active and playful, with a full set of sharp teeth (not dull or yellow which are signs of stress and worn out). Fun time for kids as well since you can pet some of the fish and starfish.

This a unique little aquarium focused on raising awareness of the marine environment by bringing people closer to its inhabitants. It may seem expensive at 300 pesos for the basic entrance, but the money is clearly used to ensure that the creatures are well cared for. The exhibits are carefully chosen, well presented, and maintained with excellent supporting information screens. The theme throughout is preservation and conservation. This is enhanced by the opportunities for visitors to interact with some of the marine residents. There are also several options where you can really get close to the dolphins, which is quite magical. The carers/instructors seem to genuinely care for and have a bond with their charges. If you're in Cancun, this place is well worth a visit.

We had a wonderful experience here. We purchased a VIP dolphin and aquarium dive package. The staff were phenomenal and we really enjoyed it. The only down side is the money grab photo packages (can't take your own pics) have to buy theirs for like 335$ USD. I was a bit upset about that... however the staff and dolphin trainers made up for that aspect. We highly recommend this place

I really like this aquarium. Yes, it’s not the biggest aquarium that I’ve ever been to, but it’s a great aquarium. You can interact with the rays, the starfish, and the sea cucumbers as part of your aquarium entry. For an additional cost you can interact with dolphins and do a sea trek. Both seem reasonably priced. Once you have paid you can enter all day as many times as you want. There are multilingual signs about the animals, the environment and what we should and shouldn’t do to help - very educational. The staff are really really friendly and helpful and make sure everybody gets an opportunity with the interactions. 10/10 would recommend this place

The Interactive Aquarium Cancun is very well-planned with a section for viewing sea life, interacting with sea life, diving and interacting with dolphins. It made an excellent day trip. We walked from our hotel Wyndham Alltra Cancun, and we enjoyed seeing the manta rays, fish, petting stingrays and starfish, and watching the dolphins.

At first we were a bit disappointed. After paying $25 US per person it took all of 15 minutes to see all of their exhibits. The guide map says they have Crocodiles, but they did not. The obit saving grace was their live show. Watching the dolphins perform was amazing. My only suggestion is to get there 15-20 minutes prior to the start time to get a good seat. We left and came back, arriving 5 minutes prior to show start, and had to squeeze in on the top row. Unfortunately as of April 25th, 2022 masks are still required and wearing them in 90 degree heat with little air flow in the arena was quite a pain.

Friendly staff! Bilingual (English & Spanish)! & Cheap! Fiance bought us the basic entrance where you could touch a few animals PLUS included a dolphin show with a little sea lion action! Other activities like swimming with dolphins and walking underwater in a seperate huge tank with other fishies was also beautiful to watch! Seen those prices too, again, cheap!! If I would've had more vacation time I definitely would've done the other 2 activities! They take your picture twice at the entrance too! They offer 4 (5×8) pictures! Fiance got me 2 for 10 bucks👏🏻 better than LA where I've paid $15-20 for just one!!

The Aquariums are so pretty and beautiful to watch. It was my first time swimming with a dolphin. It was a bit expensive and then each picture has to be bought at 35$ USD. Make sure to have someone with you who can take some pictures. Overall it was an amazing experience.

Great aquarium in Cancun. The cost should be around 15 usd per person, free or at half the price depending on the packages you acquire. If someone from the group acquires a dolphin swimming ride the aquarium entrance is free and all of the others get 50% on the aquarium fee. The aquarium is a bit small and shouldn't take more than 15-20 minutes... Unless it's crowded and you want to touch the rays and starfish The dolphin ride experience is very good considering the place is inside a shopping center and includes a brief guide of what to and what not to do and expect, a locker room to wash and keep your clothes while you experience the moment with the dolphins. Finally, you can decide to purchase for an extra 100 or 150 dollars a video and all of the pictures of your experience.

We had an amazing time. I got to touch or pick up the stingrays, starfish, and sea cucumbers. The staff was very friendly. It costs USD 30 for my husband and me. We also were able to walk around the mall and saw some cool other attractions.

Very short visit. Main attraction was swimming with dolphins, which was cool to watch, bit didn't see the need to pay to do. The touch tank was the highlight for me

Cool place to check out some marine life and fossils in a self-guided tour. It probably takes about an hour to get through the aquarium, but they also offer packages where you can swim with dolphins in an enclosure. The beginning of the tour leads you through some simple tanks with some exotic fish and fossils. Once you step outside, you get the chance to see tanks with stingrays and starfish which they allow you to touch. Further out, you'll come across the dolphins and sea lions where they'll have some trainers feeding them. At the end, you can sit down and watch those that paid for the dolphin package swim with the dolphins in a small pool. You finish off near the entrance at the gift shop. Overall, it's a decent way to spend the afternoon to avoid the heat.

We had a great time doing the PREMIUM package at the Interactive Aquarium. It included our own private dolphin experience (three of us and another person) where we got to touch and interact with Luca, the only male dolphin at the aquarium, and the underwater aquarium trek where you wear spacesuit-like shoulder and head covers that supply oxygen so you can touch puffer fish, sting rays and tropical fish with an underwater guide. We paid approx $110 US per person for the 1 hour and 45 minute experiences after booking online through the website interactive chat. It was going to be quite a bit more because we were already in Cancun on vacation and we were not eligible for the "6 days or more before" discount, but I asked if they had any promos or discount codes and they gave me the deal anyway. We did have one pretty big complaint. The entire experience was focused around us turning to smile for a photo op. The ENTIRE experience. And then you get finished and the photo and video packages are like $350 US. Say what!? I just wanted one cute pic of my kid getting kissed by a dolphin, but not for those prices. Since you can't take photos, it is that or nothing, so we chose nothing and to use that money for another family excursion tomorrow instead.

There were few aquariums with plastic plants, petting sting rays and large aquarium, if you don't choose the dolphin experience, the entire entry takes 10 minutes, YES , 10-15 min!!! Poor dolphins, too many of them in small pools. It was disappointing that there was not enough to see

Watch the people who work for other resorts as they will feed you a line of bs, then try and make you pay . The one guy Wenses made me feel so uncomfortable that I was only there 5 mins and left bc of him. Literally was going to show me another resort never told me bc he had to fill a paper out that there was a $20 fee. I refused to pay it, and he pretty much acted like I was hostage until I paid it. I'm hoping to remember the name of the resort he represented and file a complaint with them.

We visited this place as my husband loves zoo and aquarium every time we travel internationally. This aquarium is very small, and no character. It’s a very lame place for visitors , staff no energy , and even swim with the dolphin is not exciting compared to places we seen, Australia, US, Thailand . And it’s actually charge quite a bit for this mini aquarium. Looks like they are overstaff as well .All I can say it’s not a welcoming place, for the price they charge esp. in USD . Looks like they are also renovating the place. And this place as well lots of people harassing you around as soon as you arrived the place, very annoying. As a visitor we want to relax and we don’t like pressure because it’s our holiday .

Horrible place. They charge hundreds of dollars for photos. The dolphins are covered with scars and the experience is less about having fun than squeezing more money out of you. Do not support this place. It should be shut down.

OMG this was one of the most amazing experiences of my life! Swimming with dolphins was my #1 bucket list item and this place offered that and more! Our dolphin Maya was so precious and we had so much fun with her! She shook our hands, kissed us, sang to us, jumped over us, swam around us between us! My favorite part was when they had 2 dolphins push us like superman across the pool!! The whole experience was so peaceful yet exhilarating! The trainer working with us (I believe his name is Mayo*, he had a different name tag on that day) was so kind, knowledgeable, and awesome to work with!! He really loves what he does, as it appeared all the staff does, and it shows by the way the dolphins respond to them..they really care!! Everyone working there appeared very happy, and they were very helpful and polite when keeping us in line so we didn't upset the system. I really appreciated the passion our instructor Mayo had with the dolphins, pure love 💕 I am eternally grateful for all they do to keep the dolphins healthy and safe while providing the public the opportunity to share the experience! What a dream come true!! I will say, be prepared to fork out big bucks for the pics and video to archive the memory, the upfront price for the activity is reasonable, but the picture package at the end was a shock indeed! I realize they have a lot of overhead and the ticket prices couldn't possibly pay for all of that, so they get you in, share a dream with you, and then hope you can afford to buy the pics to support the cause. We did, and it will be worth it, it's truly priceless 💕💞🐬 Thank you to the staff!! Oh we also did the scuba diving with the stingrays and fish...that was pretty intense for me, but I did it and it was truly memorable as well. The instructors were extremely calm and well trained which kept me calm when I wanted to freak out, lol 😁 If you get cold easily, where the wet suit..I was a freezing down in the tank. 😉

It is a modest aquarium in comparison to many I’ve ever visited in my trips. They have an outdoor area where you can play around with stingrays and see other crocodiles and turtles. Their cream de la cream is the dolphin area where they host shows and interactions. Even if you’re not paying for it, you can still see it from the main halls and from the restaurant.

What an awesome experience! We got to swim and play with the dolphins under the trainer's supervision. At the end we made a beautiful photo book to remember this rare occasion. The photo book was delivered to our hotel as promised.

My husband and I visited while we we staying in Cancun. This is a very nice.smaller aquarium. It focuses on the local area. I petted the Rays and starfish. We both enjoyed the visit. There are opportunities to swim with the dolphins or be inside the large aquarium. We watched. The cost was very reasonable.

We are a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids – 7 & 8 years old) from Toronto, Canada and just completed a 2-week vacation (Dec.7-21, 2022) at the all-inclusive Hard Rock Hotel in Cancun, Mexico. One of the off-site activities that we did was the Dolphin Experience at the Interactive Aquarium (La Isla, Zona Hotelera) which is about 10 min north of the hotel. You end up in the water swimming with a dolphin including eventually getting pulled across the pool by the dolphin. Our dolphin was Maya and was 10 years old. The whole experience was amazing for all 4 of us. A photographer takes pictures throughout, which you can purchase before you leave (a little expensive but well worth it!). We love our pictures, such great memories! On site, there also is a walk-through aquarium with many different displays of live fish, shellfish and reptiles, a restaurant and gift shop. A 5 out of 5 for us!

It is a small aquarium in Cancun - La Isla Mall - but very colorful. Kids could touch stingrays in 3 basins and they could touch star fishes - different sizes. Dolphins are always active, I would recommend swimming with dolphins since they get smaller groups.

It's was okay, expected to see more unique fish species, but it doesn't have much. It was nice to see the dolphins do their tricks. The interactive section closed off at 3 pm, so if you're interested in that, I'd recommend you go early in the morning .

The Interactive Aquarium Cancun is a marine wonderland that offers visitors an immersive experience into the world of aquatic life. One of the highlights of this aquarium is the diverse range of marine species it houses. From the graceful manta rays to the awe-inspiring sharks, every exhibit is designed to captivate and educate. For fans of the popular movie "Finding Nemo," spotting familiar faces like Dory and Nemo swimming around is an absolute treat. The presence of other marine creatures like turtles, starfish, and dolphins adds to the richness of the experience. What sets this aquarium apart is its emphasis on interaction. The special manta ray interaction aquarium allows visitors to get up close and personal with these gentle giants, offering a unique hands-on experience that is both thrilling and educational. In conclusion, the Interactive Aquarium Cancun is a must-visit for marine enthusiasts and families alike. It's not just an aquarium; it's an experience that leaves you with a deeper appreciation for the wonders of the marine world. 🦈🐡🐟🎏

Very small aquarium at la Isla shopping mall. The staff is very friendly and explain everything we asked. The best part is the active zone where you can pet the animals. Besides that the aquarium is very old and you can see everything under one hour. The price is expensive for what you get. The sea lions look in a vey bad condition.

Truly an amazing place. Yes it is expensive but if you love and enjoy spending time with dolphins, it wont matter. I have been to several dolphinariums in different countries and this one is on top of my favourite list. Ive enjoyed interacting with the dolphins and have been since I was 3 years old. The amount of joy you get is unbelievable. This is something you will remember for the rest of your life. Mexico surprised me by being more environmentally responsible and it shows. These dolphins and other wonderful animals are in good hands. I would say that Mexico does more for animals than Canada does. Also, Ive really enjoyed Gustavo’s presentation during the dolphin show. He said some facts and the show itself was quite funny! Gustavo was very knowledgeable and he has even showed me a video (highly recommend everyone to watch it) on how Delphinus takes care of their dolphins. Even their soon to be mothers. The video even shows how a dolphin gives birth which was mind blowing. They have a total of 9 places in Mexico in case you wish to see the other locations. I applaud Mexico and this wonderful organization for everything they have been doing. Thank you for making my holidays memorable.

We had a great time. They have live dolphin shows. You can also swim and interact the dolphins. I found out later you could scuba dive with the fish! I was able to touch the stingrays and star fish. It was absolutely amazing. So glad I I bought a ticket. I would definitely go again, and next time I will swim with the dolphins.

We did the dolphin meet n' greet. Talk about a once in a lifetime opportunity! I got the tickets half off on Black Friday, they were doing a deal- so we bought the most expensive experience that included the SeaTrek. Be prepared to pay about $200 at least for your photos- yikes! However, we had someone taking photos from up above, and they got some great ones, we *could* have gone without their professional shots. But we didn't. Why? Because I never want to forget how flippin' awesome it was! When we arrived I was a little nervous, there was quite the crowd there to swim with the dolphins. Then they split our group up into a dozen small groups for a personalized experience, and each of us got our own dolphins. Our host was from Houston, he knew so much about dolphins! He was kind and fun. We danced with them, splashed with them, swam with them- and you'll never forget getting propelled across a dolphin enclosure at 40 MPH by two dolphins pushing on your feet. SO CRAZY COOL! The aquarium itself wasn't anything special- I've been to aquariums around the world so I wasn't really impressed- it's fairly small without a lot to it. The dolphin experience was where it's at! For the SeaTrek- it's kind of like diving (to a shallow depth). It's really hard to see in the helmet things, and disorienting to walk. What made it cool? A guy comes down with you with food for the fish- and it turns into a fish petting zoo! No kidding! They are HUGE and they feel AMAZING! The rays just swim right up into your arms. One bit my finger, but it didn't hurt at all, it felt like he was curious about it. I got to pet an enormous puffer fish- they're so soft except for the spines, or course. I'll never forget it!

Great experience! The staff was very friendly and accommodating...swimming with the dolphins was amazing. The picture package was a little too pricy...but overall it was a good time

This beautiful aquarium aids in the preservation efforts of various causes, some of which they founded themselves! It's always a lovely experience. Better with kids or humans who understand the wonder they're looking at.

Nice aquarium, the dolphins ride and interaction are amazing. The turn down is the overpriced photos, since you cannot take yours, they charge 1 photo U$40 or the less expensive pack U$150 against the U$75 ticket for the ride experience.

Staff is very nice, but prices are high and aquarium is tiny, if you're not paying for a day with dolphins the rest of the aquarium only has about 25 minutes worth of entertainment to offer.

If i could give this place zero stars i would. Other than the interaction with the dolphins I would say this was a terrible experience and I will never do it again. The staff was extremely disrespectful from the moment we arrived, the trainer was extremely rude to the Nigerian mother and daughter in our group, racist I would say. He kept talking to them as if they were mentally handicapped and they both spoke very well English! Oh and the photos are $200 plus so on top of us paying $ 300 to do the activity we have to pay even more money to take the memories home with us. They are literally stealing your money. The dolphins should teach these people customer service skills.

The aquarium itself is a 30 minute walk, so it's not very big. The highlight is definitely the dolphins. If you're around the area and like ocean life, it might be worth a visit.

It’s really beautiful at the aquarium. There are fish tanks all through the walkway and it’s just a beautiful sight. The dolphins you can swim with also. Their is a restaurant right at the aquarium which is really convenient and makes the experience wholesome.

It’s a small aquarium it has a “u touch” rays and starfish but the main thing we decided to go was for the dolphins. When we got there they put us in a large group over 12 people and they rushed us with the dolphins. When it was time for the picture it was super fast and they kept changing to go to the other groups to take pictures. We went to the photo booth and the pictures were horrible eyes closed, mouth wide open and you can’t even take a group picture but the worst thing is the price to purchase them is over $200 for 12 pictures. At least out friend stayed at the top taking pictures at us so we could have a memory of the place.

For parents: Book ahead! I made the mistake of booking last minute and missed out on the Splash experience (platform dolphins interaction vs the swimming one). I signed up for the underwater trek, what the website doesn’t say with their age minimum is that the helmet is heavy. It weighs 25lbs and the child must bare the weight until they descend into the water and it decreases to 15lbs, and they do add a balloon or floaty, but it’s still some weight if your child is slim. The ladder to descend into the aquarium are quite large (according to my 11yr old son), if your kid doesn’t know how to relive air pressure than I would skip this adventure. All the staff were extremely nice, the aquarium isn’t large and can be viewed by passerbys on the outside, there was no wet suites like advertised, but the instructors wore them. I don’t know if those are seasonal, so be sure to like your swimsuit for pictures. Out of two kids only one made it down, he loved it, so be sure your kids are all mentally ready for the experience and climbing without looking down…. They play a video and you learn if you tilt your head water goes in. I didn’t get to experience this as I stayed with my daughter at the top and later viewing my son inside, so this is mostly based on his experience. He loved it. If you want to view only the aquarium portion, it is rather small.

Pros:We went swimming with dolphins and it was wonderful experience. We booked swimming and splash packages thru the resort we stayed at and it saved us quiet a bit compared to buying straight at the aquarium. Plus they provided the transportation to and from resort as well. Cons: knowing you're a foreign tourist paying in dollars, they will try to rip you off at every Chace they get. Their biggest way to get you is through pictures of your swimming with dolphins. They will charge you anywhere from $200-$300 for your photos. If you're going as a family or in a group. Make sure all your pics are being taken by same person otherwise at the end they will try to sell you 2 different packages at $200-300 each, even though your family/group should've been part of the same pics.

I don't even know where to begin, just wow. What a beautiful place to visit. I got to swim with a dolphin, my dream. Absolutely perfect. I was in there pool and cried happy tears I can believe I have swam with dolphin, this was just perfect. Staff were so friendly and the dolphins out of this world. You shower before you go in the pool to wash sun screen off, then you go in the pool with the amazing dolphins. You shower after your visit also and they give you a towel to dry off, so no need to pack one like we did. Save your arms carrying towels and use there's. Be careful as photos are really extreme prices considering you pay quite a bit to make your dreams reality. If you have someone not doing it ask them to take pictures from the viewing area. Other then prices of the actual photos I can't fault this experience xx

Pretty small aquarium but the $15 tickets allow you to view the dolphin show. Make sure to line up 30 min early for this upstairs. My wife and daughter went for the dolphin splash experience which lasted 30 minutes. They had an amazing time.
