LDS Alma tours was incredible. We visited Tulum and Chichenitza with our guide (Luis) and he did amazing. It was remarkable being able to learn all of the connections between the Mayan people and the Book of Mormon. (as well as all of the “traditional” Mayan things to learn). If you only have time for one, Tulum was more spiritually uplifting for me. But both were incredible and Chichenitza is more “architecturally impressive”. So that’s up to you! But 10/10 the only way to visit these unreal sites in Cancun is with Alma Tours! Practical tips: - It’s a long day. Wear tennis shoes, bring flip flops for the Cenote. (We were gone from 7am-6pm) - Tulum was way more kid friendly (less talk about human sacrifice). But technically both would be okay. Neither places are stroller friendly. Kids would need to walk / be in a carrier. And they’d do okay walking those distances. Tulum was also only 45min away from our hotel, Chichenitza was 2.5hrs so make sure to look that up if you’re bringing kids! - Bring snacks for the ride. We were driving in the car at least 5hrs. - Lunch was awesome at a little local restaurant. But the snacks helped hold me over in the long ride. - Bring your backup phone battery charger. My phone died halfway through the day. - Download an audio book or something like that. The roads are bumpy and it’s very stop/go, so the audio book really helped distract me from my car sickness. (There is 0 cell service so make sure it’s downloaded). - Bring a waterproof case for your phone at the Cenote. (also fine for kids, they required life jackets at this one). - It’s SO hot. Wear light, breathable, but comfy clothes. You are walking a lot. (aka be aware you don’t want to chafe!) - The tour guide had a cooler full of waters, which we were grateful for. We drank through almost all of them! - You can leave your backpacks in the car during the major walking parts. So that was really nice to be able to pack it full for the long rides but not have to carry it all the time. - Bring cash for souvenirs as well as to tip tour tour guide. They do such an amazing job!!

We had such a great time on our adventure today. A group like ours can be a lot to take on, but Arnie made our tour so memorable and great. He kept us hydrated in the heat and he was so informative. His passion for these places were felt by our entire group. He answered every question we threw at him. I'm not going to lie... I am ordering a book on the Mayan culture so I can learn more. His excitement definitely has rubbed off😍

Excellent service overall!! We came down for the Christmas break and have gone on two tours with ALMA'S LDS TOURS. The knowledge that the tour guides have is amazing! I have a toddler and a 5 year old and they have made the right accommodations to be able to make a GREAT experience for my family and I. I Recommend them 100% among the other companies.

We had the pleasure of being guided by Arnulfo (Arnie) for 2 different days. He was very helpful and informative. He was also very personable. We were staying just north of Cancun, so he had some long days with us, but they both seemed to go by very fast because we were having a lot of fun. He not only tied the sites to scripture, but shared a great testimony of the historic truthfulness of the Book of Mormon in the Americas. We learned a lot of amazing facts about, not only the Mayan culture, but the Mexican history and culture as well. He very proactive in advice and tips on how to deal with vendors at the sites, so that you don’t get caught up in an awkward situation or wasting your money. The entire family enjoyed our time on the tours and will certainly do it again when we come back. We’ll probably stay in Playa del Carmen next time, because it is a more central location to Alma’s LDS Tours. PS. We introduced Arnie to “Chuck Norris” jokes, so bring your best ones. He got a kick out of them.

Excellent tour of Ek Balam & Chichen Itza with a refreshing swim to cap off the day at Cenote. Mario (tour guide) was knowledgeable and provided visual instruction that increased learning and memory retention. Never a dull or confusing moment. The correlation of evidence he provided between the Mayan and preceding Nephite and Lamanite civilizations was fascinating! I'm excited to come back and tour again.

We did our first tour with Alma's 8 years ago, and when we brought our whole family back to Mexico last week for Christmas holiday, we knew we needed to go with Alma's again. Our group of 7 was picked up right on time at our condo on the day of the excursion, and we were the only ones in our group. Our guide, Luis, was amazing! Friendly, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable, our day with Luis was the best tour we've ever had. The van was plenty roomy and lots of ice-cold bottle water. He made sure we could stop at restrooms along the 2.5 drive from the Hotel Zone to Chichen Itza for our first stop. He helped us zip right through the line (he picked up tickets for us while we took a bathroom break). He took us around the ruins to spots where there were no other tourists or vendors and showed us some very cool points of interest before making our way to the pyramid and ball court. Next we went to a beautiful spot for a buffet lunch with traditional Yucatan fare before the drive to Ek Balam. Same great experience with Luis at Ek Balam where he did a masterful job explaining the history and significance of the Mayan civilization. He then drove us to the cenote Xcanche nearby the ruins. We practically had the place to ourself! Never did Luis make us feel rushed, and he answered every question our kids asked during the day. He told us people rarely go to Ek Balam and the Cenote Xcanche when they book with Alma's but we'd highly recommend it. No crowds there and it's the only ruin you can still climb! He got us back to our condo safely and with the same enthusiastic spirit as he started the day with. At the end of the day, our teenagers even asked Luis to be in a selfie with them, something they've never asked their parents to do! If you're thinking of an excursion, book with Alma's and ask for Luis to be your guide (unless it's the same day we do our next excursion with them because we call dibs).

Our anniversary trip with Alma's LDS Tours last month was fun and unforgettable. We booked several of their services: Airport Shuttle: Our driver (Miguel) was on time (early) and ready to receive us with a smile. The shuttle was clean, new, had a powerful Air Conditioner and entertainment for our kids. Miguel was polite and informative on the short trip to the hotel. Tulum: Our tour guide (Miguel Jr.) was there early next morning ready to start our adventure. Miguel Jr. was courteous, knowledgeable and funny. The ruins were incredible and although it was hot, Miguel Jr. remained happy and very conscientious of our little ones by making sure they had enough water and that the experience was entertaining for all of us. Chichen Itza: Miguel Jr. joined us as a tour guide once more for this one and we had a blast! The structures and the history lessons were just amazing. We learned and discovered so much thanks to our guide; Miguel Jr. also recommended a place for us to eat which was to die for. Go ahead and experience the marvels of the YucatĂĄn Peninsula by booking with one of the best family owned business that you will ever encounter.

David gave us the most amazing tour of Tulum and Chichen Itza!! We really enjoyed our time with him. If you are going to Cancun, you need to book a tour through Alma's tours.

Tried few times but couldn't book online, called the contact number and a lady told me to complete the online form with questions, did, but no response, did again, still no response! It has been for awhile....Are they no longer in business? How did people make reservation recently?

We did three tours with Alma's tours while visiting in Cancun. We had amazing experiences with all of our guides. Abraham. Armando, Heber, and Jonathan were all incredibly knowledgeable and patient with teaching us about the beautiful people and places of this land.

👍👍 We booked the jungle cruise excursion with my resort, Sandos. Which was about a 15 minute walk - I paid $70 with my hotel and $15 in tax at the site, per person. I booked this last minute so I’m thankful they took us in! PABLO was our guide and he was amazing! First, we got our own little speed boa...

😠 We had booked a daytrip to Teotihuacan, received a voucher which clearly said that we'd be picked up in our hotel ....but they never showed up. After long phone calls and discussions with their call center, I gave up. Not reliable and not pleasant to communicate with.

👍👍 The airport transfer and excursion were the best deals I found online. The drivers were really nice. I felt like I got a lot of really good history information on the Chichen itzá tour . I will definitely go back again.
