LDS
Alma
tours
was
incredible.
We
visited
Tulum
and
Chichenitza
with
our
guide
(Luis)
and
he
did
amazing.
It
was
remarkable
being
able
to
learn
all
of
the
connections
between
the
Mayan
people
and
the
Book
of
Mormon.
(as
well
as
all
of
the
âtraditionalâ
Mayan
things
to
learn).
If
you
only
have
time
for
one,
Tulum
was
more
spiritually
uplifting
for
me.
But
both
were
incredible
and
Chichenitza
is
more
âarchitecturally
impressiveâ.
So
thatâs
up
to
you!
But
10/10
the
only
way
to
visit
these
unreal
sites
in
Cancun
is
with
Alma
Tours!
Practical
tips:
-
Itâs
a
long
day.
Wear
tennis
shoes,
bring
flip
flops
for
the
Cenote.
(We
were
gone
from
7am-6pm)
-
Tulum
was
way
more
kid
friendly
(less
talk
about
human
sacrifice).
But
technically
both
would
be
okay.
Neither
places
are
stroller
friendly.
Kids
would
need
to
walk
/
be
in
a
carrier.
And
theyâd
do
okay
walking
those
distances.
Tulum
was
also
only
45min
away
from
our
hotel,
Chichenitza
was
2.5hrs
so
make
sure
to
look
that
up
if
youâre
bringing
kids!
-
Bring
snacks
for
the
ride.
We
were
driving
in
the
car
at
least
5hrs.
-
Lunch
was
awesome
at
a
little
local
restaurant.
But
the
snacks
helped
hold
me
over
in
the
long
ride.
-
Bring
your
backup
phone
battery
charger.
My
phone
died
halfway
through
the
day.
-
Download
an
audio
book
or
something
like
that.
The
roads
are
bumpy
and
itâs
very
stop/go,
so
the
audio
book
really
helped
distract
me
from
my
car
sickness.
(There
is
0
cell
service
so
make
sure
itâs
downloaded).
-
Bring
a
waterproof
case
for
your
phone
at
the
Cenote.
(also
fine
for
kids,
they
required
life
jackets
at
this
one).
-
Itâs
SO
hot.
Wear
light,
breathable,
but
comfy
clothes.
You
are
walking
a
lot.
(aka
be
aware
you
donât
want
to
chafe!)
-
The
tour
guide
had
a
cooler
full
of
waters,
which
we
were
grateful
for.
We
drank
through
almost
all
of
them!
-
You
can
leave
your
backpacks
in
the
car
during
the
major
walking
parts.
So
that
was
really
nice
to
be
able
to
pack
it
full
for
the
long
rides
but
not
have
to
carry
it
all
the
time.
-
Bring
cash
for
souvenirs
as
well
as
to
tip
tour
tour
guide.
They
do
such
an
amazing
job!!
