    It is a beautiful beach, no doubts. The issue is that it is crowded. Not only there are beach chairs and people everywhere on the shore, but there are usually tens of yachts very close to the beach. Both the folks on the beach and those on the yachts apparently can't enjoy their vacation without a very loud music. In the end, you get a mix of beats from everywhere. Add a number of beach vendors trying to sell you all from cigars to scarfs and ice creams. That's Playa Norte.

    Most beautiful playa I’ve been in my entire life! Beautiful sand and clear water. You can walk very far without walking on seaweed and rocks. We’ve also brought our glasses to look underwater and saw many many fishes! Such a nice time.

    As soon as I stepped onto the beach, I was in complete awe. My brain couldn’t imagine a beach so beautiful if it tried. The white sand and crystal clear waters were magical. The water itself was cool, which was nice for a hot sunny day. I felt very safe leaving my belongings on the beach. I noticed a lot of bags left unattended! There’s plenty of bars, restaurants and coffee shops surrounding the beach. It truly is a magical place. Unlike any beach I’ve ever seen.

    This is a great place to hang out and swim on Isla Mujeres. It was very crowded both days this week we went. We took the Ultramar ferry from Cancun for about $25us/person. When we got there we rented a golf cart from Ciro's. The first day we rented somewhere else and our cart broke down. We saw all the best carts were from Ciro's. Anyway the entire length of North Beach (Playa Norte) is the most popular spot on Isla Mujeres. There's a nice plaza for taking pictures of the colorful Isla Mujeres sign not far away on the back side of the island. The golf carts or scooters make the day an adventure driving around the island. Highly recommend the self guided day on the island. Ultramar ferry and golf carts. Don't do the group tours as you get stuck waiting for the knuckleheads in the groups.

    Very nice beach. Water is waist height out to about 500 meters from shore. pure white sand. Its a very nice beach and pretty large. There is a floating rope out at the end of the sand bar where boats pull up and let passengers off to enjoy the beach. -I was here June 22 2023 after a whale shark snorkel. Our boat stopped here and we got out and stayed for about 20-30 min. nice beach, heard it is very nice at sunset.

    Such a beautiful place to come and visit. The beach is beautiful and calm. But, I would rather chose to come in a tour, enjoy the beach and then return to my accommodation. Beautiful scenery and you can swim a lot!

    Wow!!! What a beautiful beach!!! My wife and I booked the Isla Mujeres tour bought on the beach at our hotel from one of the Scuba Caribe salesmen. Excellent salesman. Have been looking at Isla Mujeres from our hotels for 5 years now. Finally went and found out what we have been missing!!! It's beach is amazing, the cobblestone streets are flooded in some places but really gives you that authentic Mexican experience we have been looking for. We each got a 1hr massage on the beach for 60$ total!!! Amazing!!! Our hotel massage prices was 240 for two so a quarter of what the hotels charge. Gave 40$ for a tip but still an amazing steal at 100$ total. Neat shops!! Great bars, great prices!! I recommend taking the ferry across as when you sign for the trip your free time is only about three hours. It's definitely an all day type of exploration!!! Rent a scooter or golf cart, dive off the docks, great drinks at cool bars. Wish we had more time there, It's all there!!

    It's not really a surprise why this beach regularly ranks among the top beaches in the world. The water is a gorgeous azure blue and so crystal clear. The perfect white sand makes it an amazing place to spend multiple afternoons at to relax and unwind. Can't wait to come back to Isla mujeres!

    Playa Norte is one of Mexico's most beautiful beaches and one of favorites!! It's crystal clear, beautiful turquoise water as far as the eye can see. Lots of fish to see if you like to snorkel. All kinds of restaurants, bars and shops within walking distance. Can't wait to return!

    We are frequent fliers here and we love Playa Norte. The days are busy and beautiful beyond belief but when all the day trippers go back to Cancun you get your run of the beach and can watch one of the most beautiful sunsets this side of Mexico 🇲🇽

    Beautiful beach ⛱️ especially if you come early in the morning and have it all to yourself. By 10am and throughout the day it gets way too crowded. Glorious turquoise water is still here, one of the very few places in carribean since the sargassum invasion. When in the area, Isla Mujeres is still a must go to place.

    Beautiful beach, water was amazing but the locals were very pushy to get you to purchase stuff. Golf carts made it easy to maneuver throughout the island. We took a ferry (very crowded) over to the island but we should've did a private Catamaran boat.

    yes, this is the most beautiful beach on the island and probably one of my favorite best beaches i’ve ever been to. soft white sand that isn’t scorching hot, clear clean turquoise water that is shallow and no waves which makes it amazing to swim/wade in. the only downside is that it’s so crowded and boats parked in front all the time. if this place was more deserted it would be #1. half of the beach area are beach clubs with chairs and if you walk further right it is more public and no beach clubs so anyone and most of the locals hang out there. even more crowded though. but at least there’s plenty of room in the water to swim in.

    Beautiful white sand, calm surf (it's on the leeward side of the island) and shallow waters. The water is very open, clear and shallow, so we did not see many fish while snorkeling. We spent one morning here, from 8:00-11:30 am. There are different paid rental options for umbrellas, beach beds, lounge chairs, etc. We asked if there was some locker service included with the rentals, and we were told no. We hid in the shade of some coconut trees for free, but that tropical sun kept peeking through. We were very hot, but there was nobody selling drinks on the beach or anywhere close by. There were vendors selling popsicles, but no water, no soda, no beer; nothing. The resort restaurants hadn't opened their patios for lunch yet. I just couldn't figure out where to get a drink of water, so we left. Also missing: public restrooms and sand showers.

    We took a Catamaran to Isla Mujeres, it included an open bar and buffet a little expensive but so worth it! You can also take a ferry from cancun way cheaper. It was a dream, Turquoise Crystal clear waters, calm, no waves, white sand. Definitely top ten beaches in the world. I went in August and it was a bit crowded.

    Playa Norte is one of the most beautiful and secluded beaches that I have been to. We went snorkeling and saw lots of tropical fish and several small stingrays. It was definitely worth going to. It was truly amazing!

    Random pics along the concrete walkway along several miles of the coast at north end of island. Awesome walk to enjoy the morning sunrises! Excellent picture location is mermaid statue at sunrise... multiple secluded beach locations and settings along this walk, most are public access.

    Cute beach. BEAUTIFUL water and sand. Yachts pretty much surround this beach which allows the water to be really calm. The water is also very warm and very salty. I grew up around oceans so I'm used to salt water, but I was able to float in this water with absolutely no effort thanks to the saltiness level. It pretty cool and several bars you can get drinks from and bring them in the water. :)

    Yes! What an awesome place to be. This is must if you are in Isla Mujeres. One of my favorites places in Mexico. Better than Cancun by a long stretch as it is a beach that you can swim, enjoy beautiful white sands, be safe on the water, enjoy your vacation and cherish your memories without regrets and Affordable too. See for your self and enjoy it. I'll be back over and over again..

    Very cool beach. Water is not cold and the water is not deep making it very ideal for young children to swim in and enjoy the mild ocean waters. No showers nearby though.

    This has to be my most favorite beach in Mexico by far. Gorgeous blue clear waters, white Sandy beaches and overall majestic. Tiny little waves, sand so soft that felt like massage to my feet. Words cannot describe how gorgeous this beach is.

    Do yourself a favor and visit this beach/island while your in Cancun! We took a sailboat trip for $89.00 a person (USD) and this included drinks, snorkeling, paddle boards. lasted about 6 hours. Best deal ever! Ask your hotel activities people! Lots to see on the island or just chill on the beach! BTW there is a pirate grave there if you can find it.

    Used to be great. Just spent the weekend in September 2021 and the local government isn’t doing anything to regulate the boats anchoring right next to the shore where people are swimming. These boats create so much dangerous traffic being that close, are loud, block the great view, and don’t do anything to really bring in revenue for this area so why is this allowed? I cannot recommend anyone go there. The only enjoyable time was early morning but that’s because we were staying right there, even then boats were starting to set anchor at 10am.

    Trying to find parking for your golf cart might be a bit difficult here. I'd recommend walking here and spending some time *before* renting the carts. The water was nice and shallow on one side, and a little deeper on the other. Theres a bridge in between, but it cost money to go across it. There were a lot of people practicing snorkeling and scuba. There are cart vendors who roam around selling homemade Popsicles and regular snacks at a decent price (I think we paid maybe a dollar or two for a chocolate covered coconut popsicle. There's not a great place to store your stuff while you're in the water. Come with a waterproof bag or friends who can sit beachside while you're in the water.

    Isla mujeres is my favorite place when coming on Vacation. Everything is at tour own pace. Arrive early to get a golf cart as they typically sellout after 1pm. Bring ur valid ID as only a few business will let u rent with a hotel key card.

    Absolute paradise still can't believe its real. This beach is amazing and very surreal. The whole time I was pinching myself to check if I was really there. We hired a golf cart for the day on the island which was fantastic but the other days we walked as it was close to the town. Go to the end of the town and take a right. Halfway up there's a left turn to Playa Norte, its not signposted but the locals are very helpful. Bring cash with you as its mainly cash for the vendors etc. Its very cheap to rent a sun lounger $20 for the day. We sat near the lifeguard lookout. The server was fabulous from Palapa Leigy's. Try the fresh pineapple or lemon juices devine. Cocktails were out of this world too. The fish or prawn taco were so fresh and tasty. This beach is a must when visiting Cancún. We got the local ferry to the island which was very safe. I'll be dreaming of it till I get back there.

    Beautiful beach. Great place for pictures around the boats and docks. You can find some really nice sea shells there in the nets. Some big shells also. Just make sure you smell them an they are empty otherwise you'll regret the dead snail your carrying around in your bag. There's a few great restaurants on the beach there also. The one next to the restrooms is perfect. Open bar, ocean view/ocean front. Super good

    We loved this beach and went twice while visiting cancun. The beds go from 200for a few hours to 500 pesos (less than 30dlls) all day... The water is so calm. And we visited in low season so it was crowded but not too much as other complain. We ate in one of the restaurants next to the beach... Everything was good... We really enjoyed this beach. I came back here the next year in 2020 with my family... still good...love this beach definitely my favorite. Great if you have kids because of the calm waters. Just try to visit in low season.
