We were staying near La Isla mall and were looking for a coffee shop other than Starbucks. We found it at Ah Cacao. In fact, after finding it on a second day, we came back each day until we left. The staff was super nice. We always ordered Latte and it was really good. We tried all the desserts, my favorite was brownie, followed by brownie. It’s really good. Chocolate croissants was also good while cheese cake and carrot cake were just okay. Chocolate tamale is different, not my favorite but interesting if you haven’t tried it before. Prices are very reasonable as well, ranging from about $4 to $7 per cod coffee (depending on size) and you can pay by credit card as well. There is also a nice outside seating area and a photo opportunity by the swing. In addition, we also purchased some natural chocolate for presents. Sometimes they have some samples to try but it’s really good. Overall highly recommended.

This is a great little cafe! The staff are sweet and the prices are decent. The coffee was delish! And there's lots of great chocolate items to look through and buy. Definely check it out!

Mexican Chocolate Shop is different and interesting. Chocolate Tamale specially is a unique experience. Their Cafe Americano Frappe was light and refreshing on a warm day but still energizing. The Brownies were OK. Overall good experience and a must visit place in Cancun Hotel Zone.

Delightful visit for dessert after taco dinner. Enjoyed the atmosphere,.....the staff offered free chocolate samples while shopping. We got dessert, one ice cream, and one chocolate pudding; both were tasty! Bought Mayan chocolate bars to bring back for friends. If closer to us in proximity, I might have returned!

Mocha frio was good, but could have done with a little more creaminess (definitely go the whipped cream next time) and the brownie had great texture, but didn't have much of a chocolatey taste at all.. Nonetheless, good prices. Would try something different next time!

If you are like us bored of the usual Starbucks coffee and want to try local coffee shop/ chain… then look no further. This place is great for your daily coffee cravings… their pastries are also great !! Prices are comparable to Starbucks, it’s located conveniently in the la isla shopping center.

The Starbucks of Mexico as it is colloquially known! They have some great chocolate that they will give you free samples of. Also, their Mayan drinking chocolate is not to be missed. The coffee is also way better than Starbucks in my opinion, but their specialty is definitely all around chocolate.

Having just finished dinner we decided to stop by Ah Cacao for some after dinner sweets and drinks. The store had a warm cozy atmosphere with cacao products displayed all around. The staff were incredibly friendly and able to answer any questions we had regarding thier products. The deserts and drinks were delish, though the cacao used has some very prominent fruity notes to it which we weren't expecting. Still, this was a fantastic little place and I definitely recommend giving it a shot.

Ah Cacao is one of the best coffees that I have ever had! I loved their mochas so much that I actually walked 4 miles every day from my hotel to get one. The quality of the chocolate and coffee beans they use is outstanding! Once you have had Ah Cacao, it will be difficult to drink Starbucks again. They also put art on their drinks, and I loved receiving coffees with panda bears, flowers, and heart shapes. I definitely look forward to returning to Ah Cacao the next time I am in Cancun!

The shop is tucked into the La Isle outdoor mall in Cancun. The lady behind the counter was so patient with us as we ordered. I got a frio cafe latte and my wife got an iced dirty chai. Both were fantastic. The pastries were also very good quality and we really enjoyed our time there!

The sipping chocolate was excellent, but the pain au chocolat was not. It had the texture of a bread roll, not a croissant. Service was perfect.

I just love this place. I did some research before heading out to LA Isla Mall where this place is located. It has a variety of chocolate drinks and confectinaries readily available. I got the chocolate Frappuccino which is heaven!!!!! The store salesperson also offered me some free chocolate samples which I just adore. I eneded up getting a couple of Ah Cacao chocolate Maya bars of different flavors. I mean the taste is miles apart from what you are getting from the ones you are accustomed to in the states' supermarkets. The taste is much richer and unadulterate. It's a pity I didn't get more. I finished all of the chocolate in a matter of days!!! A must if you can get your hands on them.

I loved the frappe so much, i wish i would’ve discovered this gem before the last day of my vacation! if you’re into coffee/frozen chocolate drinks, definitely give Ah Cacao at La Isla shopping mall a try :)

If you like chocolate, this is the place to go. Even if you don't like chocolate, they still have yummy vanilla ice cream! The Maya chocolate ice cream had just the slightest kick to it. Not very spicy at all, worth a try. The cocoa nibs in the mocha need to come with a spoon so that I can get them out easier. Pro tip: eat them before you start on your drink so they're easier to reach!

This is by far the best Chocolate store you can find in the area, tons of flavors, sizes and prices , is a lovely place to have a Coffee (the taste is unbelievable) I will pick the brownie as the best dessert. I recommend to come here in the afternoon (weather and sunset)

Cute little coffee shop filled with all things cacao/chocolate. Many chocolate espresso drinks to select from the menu. They also have many milk alternatives including almond milk and soy milk. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The shop is also kept very clean!

Exquisite flavors of coffee and chocolate. Stick to the native flavors, ask for black coffee from Chiapas and Mexican chocolate from Tabasco. Drinks go very well with the chocolate brownie and chocolate cake

😠 This is the first time here and I ordered an omelette with veggies and cheese. When I seen it first I was kind of irritated how they just put the veggies in the omelette but I must admit it was very good. As you know already I like it simple, fresh, and good. The dish came with chips and an awesome...
