Never judge a book by its cover. This restaurant is small and hidden but gives the best for the price and taste. I have missed this restaurant many times because if it’s location. But good one. People are so nice the way you feel in big restaurants.

Hands down the best place in north hotel zone. Very affordable, amazing tacos, pescadilla, and very nice service. The server was not too pushy but super attentive to our needs. We tried octopus, shrimp, fish, and chicken tacos. Octopus, shrimp, and fish were excellent. Will come back again.

This is a small place, very well maintained, beside road. There is seating available outside, indoor (Air conditioned). Food tastes good, service is fast, and place is hygienic. Below are the items we tried. Chicken Quesadilla, Coconut Shrimp. The hot sauce given needs a special mention. Be aware of it. Its too hot.

A must stop if you’re looking for low key delicious seafood, great service and a ton of flavour! We sat out on the patio (small) and enjoyed each dish (especially the margarita!) Service was amazing (and we appreciated the recommendations!) The patio does sit on the sidewalk downtown Cancun so although busy, they’ve created a cute little spot to enjoy (and we did!)! Next time we’re in Cancun, La Bamba will be a must!

The food here was surprisingly good given the hole-in-the-wall nature of the restaurant. The chips and dips were great. The seafood tower was nice and my daughter really liked her tuna burger. We also got nachos on top of french fries, which were good; however, it has meat in it even though they charge extra for protein, which we didn’t order. And since I don’t eat meat, that ended up going in the trash after I realized it. I also had the fried tuna tostada, which was tasty. The piña colada was huge, as many of the drinks in Cancun seem to be. The service was overly attentive, likely because they had two servers and very few customers. They did try to charge me for a bottle of water which we had brought with us, so be sure to check the check.

Loved this place so much the first time, we came back again to get a second fixing! First time we both had the whole fried red snapper. And the second time we came for the tacos! Both times the food was 5/5 and the server was very friendly and attentive. He even got us thinking of maybe planning a trip to Cuba(where he was from). Will definitely be seeking this place out again if we return to Cancun

This is a great spot we come to every time we’re in Cancun! Their prices are very reasonable and their food quality is excellent! The fish tacos are so good at about about 9$ for 3 so worth everybite!

Delicious seafood tower and deep fried coconut shrimps. Margheritas bigger than my hand. Great service from a very welcoming team. Very unassuming restaurant you could easily walk past, but one of the best eats this side of Cancun.

La Bamba is a true hidden gem in the Cancun Hotel Zone. We ate a several restaurants in the area including the JW Marriott where we were staying and found food in the area generally lacking in flavor. Decided on a lark to explore the northern hotel zone for something family owned and not touristy and found La Bamba and ate there twice. The first time we ordered off the menu the chicken wings, ceviche, fish tacos and beef quesadillas. The ceviche is the best we have had in Mexico, which we find generally too tart for our taste but La Bamba’a is a wonderful balance of tart, natural sweetness and umami of the fish. The chicken wings were so well fried as was the fish in the fish tacos, both were super flavorful. We were so impressed with our meal and knowing we were headed on a fishing trip the next day, we knew we wanted La Bamba to cook our catch, if any. The extremely gracious host/owner? Patricio obliged us and sure enough we had a successful fishing day and brought our bounty of Mahi In the next day. Patricio and his team made us a Mahi feast in 10 different preparations, each and every dish more outstanding than the next. The star for us was the fried mahi fish sticks, which we decided is hands down the best fish sticks in the world! La Bamba has an incredibly talented fry cook with perfect batter for every dish, great crunch, crispiness and texture. This place will be a must for us if we are ever in Cancun again! 10 out of 5 stars for La Bamba!

Very friendly stuff and excellent yummy food at an excellent price. Put a four star on atmosphere because it was very small little place. A few of the ocean obviously would have made it a five star but it was excellent for what it was. Highly recommend and I would come back again. I had the coconut shrimp in the guacamole which were excellent and I don't even like shrimp that much.

Fresh, delicate, delicious Tuna Tartar with avocado. Hands down the best tuna I’ve had so far. Upbeat atmosphere. Quick and kind service. Speaks English very well. We had pizza last night and it was so much better than chain restaurants.

Thank you for tasty fresh food, great fish tacos & guacamole… both for about 10 USD total, reasonable prices. Garlic + Chipotle sauce is must try, will be back soon! FYI, small street restaurant joint with limited parking place.

We recently dined at La Bamba Mex Seafood and were thoroughly impressed with the entire experience. From the moment we stepped in, the atmosphere was welcoming and vibrant. For our meal, we ordered the fried fish, chicken tacos, and beef quesadillas. Each dish was a culinary delight, bursting with authentic flavors and cooked to perfection. The fried fish was crispy and flavorful, the chicken tacos were packed with freshness and zest, and the beef quesadillas were wonderfully cheesy with just the right spice level. What made our visit truly memorable was the impeccable service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great dining experience. Their recommendations were spot on, and they seemed genuinely happy to serve us. Overall, we loved our dinner at La Bamba. It’s a must-visit for anyone looking for delicious Mexican cuisine in Cancun. Highly recommended for its fantastic food and exceptional service!

The food was good nice and fresh. I had ordered the whole fried, rice and salad. I even ordered chicken Tacos i believe the taco needs some flavor it was bland so I had to add hot sauce for some spice in my life haha. The service is good and so are all the staff members. Yes, I will back but please put more seasoning on my fish. I would be greatly appreciative. See you next time La Bamba.

The food here is really nice and fresh. I ate here a lot of times lately, and would recommend the spicy tuna toastado or the shrimp one, and the lemon chicken wings with the white sauce. So good!

The juices from the steak were dripping down my lips. I had two mojitos and was feeling GOOD. The price was def fair. You MUST come here in Cancun. BEST food I’ve had here and I come here often

This place is incredible for such a little spot. A must try when in the hotel zone, you’ll keep coming back. Everything we tried was very fresh and we would highly recommend the seafood pizza. Don’t sleep on La Bamba!

Grilled octopus was super. Croquettes were great. Fish tacos weren’t the best hence the 4 star. Spicy tuna tostada was very good! Cute little restaurant just away from the party district.

This place might look small and somewhat hidden along the street but don't get yourself fooled. The servers are very attentive and food are delicious, portions are more than i expected, i ended up ordering too much. If you are a seafood lover, order either seafood tower or mixed ceviche, it is HEAVENLY. Price is fairly reasonable, I would say good for the portions. Don't forget to order a mojito it comes with 1L.

Great place! Ordered the lobster pizza and tried the Bambazino pizza and both were delicious. Forgot to take pictures of the pizza because I ate it up super quick. Ordered wings as appetizer which was also delicious. Definitely recommend for best pizza and outdoor dinning. Good vibes.

Pork belly and octopus tacos were incredible! Seafood tower and margaritas were also great. Great bang for your buck find in the hotel district of Cancun. Will definitely come back!

Guac and octopus chicharron, tuna tostada, pork belly and octopus taco, and seafood tower are all excellent! I highly recommend this spot if you're looking for seafood around the hotel zone. Relax stand and reasonable prices.

My experience at La Bamba was amazing. The food, the service, the ambience was everything. FYI they will grill anything you want, just ask. Very delicious and the piéce de resistance, the 1L margarita, fabulous. Please visit this hidden gem, you won't regret it.

Recommend the mixed ceviche, was incredible in taste. Tried the three tacos with one of chicken, fish and steak. All very good that it was ordered twice. The coconut shrimp was also top notch. Also they had the best gauc I’ve ever had. Will always go here when in Cancun.

We ordered guacamole which was very delicious and flavourful. The pizza with shrimp and pesto was however very salty. There was an option to get it with tomato based which i would for next time. The location is a little outside the other main shops, maybe 5 mins walk. Price is cheap to mid range. I would be willing to try again to see if it was any better.

So great! The staff was so friendly and they remembered our order after we came back a second time. The food was quick as well. We originally chose this place because surfin burrito was crazy busy and would’ve taken an hour to get the food. This place is 100% more worth it - from vibes to food to staff to cleanliness. There is no bathroom, but the drink are huge and strong and the food is filling and delicious! Would 12/10 recommend!! Enjoy 😉

The food is so good and super fresh ingredients. I lost count of how many times we ate there during our stay. We didn’t try anything we didn’t like! The octopus and pork belly tacos, seafood tower, steak tacos, and guacamole were all the bomb! Micheladas were fantastic! Y’all gotta try this place!

😠 This is the first time here and I ordered an omelette with veggies and cheese. When I seen it first I was kind of irritated how they just put the veggies in the omelette but I must admit it was very good. As you know already I like it simple, fresh, and good. The dish came with chips and an awesome...
