Wow,
this
place
was
disappointing!
I
booked
this
place
for
my
girlfriend
and
I
to
enjoy
on
our
first
night
in
Cancun.
Having
read
the
reviews
online,
I
was
excited
to
try
this
Baja
California
style
restaurant,
especially
with
its
location
being
right
on
the
water.
When
we
walked
in
and
the
place
was
almost
completely
empty,
that
should
have
been
my
sign.
We
were
greeted
by
four
waiters,
which
was
completely
overwhelming.
They
would
stand
at
the
edge
of
the
room
and
watch
you
as
you
were
eating.
My
girlfriend
was
so
uncomfortable
and
felt
she
couldn't
relax
the
entire
meal.
With
prices
like
MeroToro,
I
expected
perfection.
There
are
four
course
options,
but
you'd
have
to
be
crazy
to
eat
all
four
courses.
That
is
a
ton
of
food.
We
each
ordered
two
courses.
My
girlfriend's
first
course
-
a
plate
of
veggies
came
out
soggy.
My
ceviche
was
flavorless.
My
girlfriend's
second
course
was
bass
with
squash.
She's
from
Maine
and
has
grown
up
eating
fresh
fish
her
whole
life.
She
said
that
she's
never
eaten
fish
that
was
so
inedible
in
her
life.
There
was
this
porridge-like
sauce
on
top
of
the
bass
and
you
couldn't
taste
the
fish.
The
sauce
was
pure
butter
and
oil
-
a
French
style
of
cooking
and
certainly
not
anything
that
belongs
in
a
Baja
California
restaurant.
My
dish
was
braised
and
roasted
lamb.
It
was
over
salted,
incredibly
rich
and
lacked
any
true
flavor.
Neither
of
us
could
bear
to
finish
our
dishes.
When
I
hear
Baja
California
cooking,
I
expect
fresh
veggies,
light
and
flavorful
dishes
and
lots
of
color
on
my
plate.
Everything
was
brown,
butter
and
oil
heavy,
and
way
too
rich.
This
place
doesn't
deserve
to
be
operating
as
"Baja
California"
style.
This
meal
ruined
our
first
night
in
Cancun
and
left
us
still
very
hungry.
Do
yourself
a
favor
and
avoid
this
place.
