This is why I come to Mexico and looking for Armando. He work here and I only come to see him at Zama every afternoon. The food here is amazing. We usually order soft shell crabs. The chicken fajitas is excellent. Updated. We came back August 6-12-2022. My best server and we became friends still here. His meme is Armando. He is just a wonderful person. I have been to this resort back in 2018, 2020 and 2021 but have yet to sit here at Zama restaurant, but when we're at the pool our lunches and drinks is are always from here. I'm an honest reviewer and the water down drinks are not pleasant when you want those good drinks. The food is pretty good and they give you some choices that are worth trying out. The service is not the best with some of the other restaurants being a better choice but it's more on the good side then bad side, if you know what I mean. I can deal with it but it could use a little improvement. That's why I give them a 4 star rating out of 5. If drinks improve and they added more choices, I can change my rating to 5 star in the future hopefully. The Mexican food is good here, one of our favorite is the beer batter fish tacos and beef quesadillas. The side topping add more flavor to your meal dishes. I've also come to take notice that the pool menu and pictures that others have posted about this restaurant are different. That means you get more choices if you enter and take a seat there for lunch and dinner. So moving forward I do need to take the time to visit them maybe next time. Service from the pool waiters are 5 star to me, I can't complain about that.

Menu was greatly improved from the last time I was here. I was very impressed with the variety of options. My memory was of a menu like the one posted, but the menu I had in Feb of 2022 was much more authentic Mexican with more choices. I've always had great service here.

Ate here twice so far while staying at Villa del Palmar. Lunch was okay, more of a 3.5 star. Dinner was great! More of a 4.5 star. The service is phenomenal. Attentive, fast, friendly. The food ranges from okay to exceptional. Our favorite dishes were the civeches, octopus dinner, scallops dinner, pork shank and lamb shank dinners. Our least favorites were the duck enchiladas (dry), and the lobster tail (over seasoned, so salty!). The lobster tail was disappointing since it's also a premium food not covered by all inclusive. Well cooked just way too much seasoning. The tostadas were good but hard for sharing, large size. All of the desserts were okay or good, nothing very great or phenomenal. The lemon mousse was more like a gel. The chocolate creme brulee was more like a firm mousse. The flan was just okay. Churros were the best! Overall we liked this place for dinner way better but the food could be a bit more adventurous and refined.

Amazing food and the hospitality was fantastic! We will definitely be back. We would stay at Villa Del Palmar just because of this restaurant. We had lunch here today also, and the food was amazing as well.

That was the only lunch option in Villa del Palmar. Not many vegetarian meals at this restaurant, neither in any other one at this hotel. Never got a soup at lunch and only once at dinner at the buffet. Staff did everything to accommodate my no-meat, no-dairy, no-eggs requests, but still ended up eating the same food every day.

The lemon desert my son and daughter in law really liked. My flan was okay and so was my wife's rice pudding was average. The view was great, enjoyed our drinks outside.

The service was awesome!! The food was absolutely delicious. They made sure we got exactly what we ordered and even went above and beyond the make the vacation more memorable. I highly recommend this place for lunch and dinner.

Great service and great food. But it called Mexican restaurants but nothing Mexican traditional in it. I was looking for a contemporary meals but it was more like high end restaurant with fancy food.

Beautiful restaurant with amazing authentic Mexican food. Don't be expecting cheap nachos this is all fresh fish and meats with amazing fresh ingredients. Keep an open mind when ordering as each dish we tried was so flavoursome. We ate here a few nights and it was always fantastic. The staff are very friendly and with the all inclusive option from the hotel everything on the menu is included. Book this restaurant well in advance online or with the staff as it books out very quickly. I always had to book all my restaurants days in advance will in the resort.

The service and food are excellent. You need to make a reservation; but it's easy yo do and will reduce your waiting time. My waiter was jose. Awesome young man, superb service

This restaurant was a Great part of The Villa Del Palmar hotel. The food was amazing from Breakfast, Lunch, And Dinner. Me and the people I came with had a Party here and they did so well setting everything up from Foods to Design. There deserts are also very delicious.

Had very bad experience with the restaurant. Very limited veg choices and staff attitude not good for accommodating bigger group. We walked out of restaurant when we did not find the food good.
