I
was
SOO
excited
that
I'd
found
a
restaurant
in
Cancun
that
had
pate
-
the
restaurant
was
highly
rated,
and
supposedly
the
chef
was
from
France..
I've
eaten
pate
all
over
the
world,
throughout
Europe,
and
throughout
France.
Unfortunately
the
pate
was
dry
&
crumbly
đ..
I
prefer
creamier
paste
pate
that
can
be
spread
evenly
on
toast,
crackers,
or
bread
accoutrements.
I
can
generally
overlook
the
texture
but
the
taste
was
just
OK.
I
thought
maybe
the
pate
was
having
an
off
day
so
we
tried
another
recommended
dish,
the
filet
mignon
and
also
ordered
2
glasses
of
house
red
wine
-
the
wine
choice
was
excellent
&
drinkable,
it
was
unexpectedly
the
highlight
of
our
tasting.
The
filet
was
OK
-
it
was
quite
small
(oddly,
another
person's
google
review
picture
shows
a
much
larger
looking
filet)
&
soft
(oddly,
the
gentleman
waiter
did
not
ask
what
temperature
we
wanted
it
cooked..)
but
it
was
not
as
tender
as
other
filets
from
steakhouses
around
the
world.
The
sides
were
OK
-
I
did
enjoy
the
mushroom
sauce.
For
comparison,
at
another
Cancun
restaurant
we
tried
their
ribeye
and
it
was
unexpectedly
tender
and
delicious!
As
a
Texan
who
has
traveled
to
the
other
steak
meccas
e.g.
Argentina,
Brazil,
Japan
etc
-
I'm
well
versed
in
steaks..
Our
waiter
also
did
not
offer
nor
bring
a
small
glass
pitcher
of
what
appeared
to
be
filtered
water
-
I
noticed
them
later
on
all
the
other
customer's
tables.
Our
tasting
was
spendy
in
comparison
to
the
quality
of
food
we
received
(especially
compared
to
other
delicious
Cancun
restaurants)
and
there
was
a
sign
at
the
host
stand
that
stated
CASH
Only
(given
the
price
points
of
the
dishes
they
really
should
accept
credit
cards).
I
was
overall
disappointed..
sadly
I
will
not
return
to
this
restaurant
nor
recommend
it
to
others.
