The hotel was a bit older but the rooms were comfortable and the beach and pool were relaxing. They are currently doing some renovations on the hotel so it was hit or miss on the noise at times. The lobby and other areas needs some updating. The couches looked green and dirty in the lobby. We ate lunch and breakfast there. The lunch was not good. We had burger and chicken sandwich. I would advise against. The breakfast was good but nothing exceptional. Overall for the money it was appropriate.

Beautiful location on the beach with the turquoise coloured water. Lots of pools on the beach and lagoon side so there is always space. Restaurants are well staffed with good food and pleasant staff. We had an ocean view room on the ground floor so it had a nice patio. The room is spacious and has a really high arched ceiling. The beds are comfortable (double). The bathroom has a separate shower and the water pressure is amazing. The only con is that the hotel looks its age, the staff try really hard to maintain but it needs a major renovation to bring it to current Westin standards. Wifi is good and does work through the resort. Parking is plentiful, both covered and outdoors (free). The staff are friendly and were always happy to assist.

The location is good. The room view is perfect. The price is reasonable in hotel zone as a Westin Hotel. But the service is horrible. When I arrived the hotel, I waited 30 minutes for check-in. Seems like the hotel needs more staff. One important thing, the hotel doesn’t accept cash. But there is one receptionist could inform me directly, but he only talked to his colleague, his colleague just transfer what he said. Very rude and very unprofessional gust service attitude. The facility of the room and hotel are lacked of maintenance, water dropping in then sink, you also can find more places need maintenance. The second day of the stay, I had my dinner in the sports bar, once I went back to my room, I felt very bad and I had a very bad diarrhea. The next day I went to report to the concierge, they helped me to contacted their food and beverage manager, but the manager said their food is high quality and probably because I just arrived, maybe because I am not acclimated to the climate. I have been stay in Mexico for 2 years, this is an unacceptable excuse for me. Until I checked out, no one asked my status. The summary of my stay is: If you don’t care to wait for the service more than 30 minutes, and unprofessional hotel service, only want to enjoy the view and location, then you can come to stay.

It’s a solid hotel. Very friendly staff and they are really trying to keep up with the maintenance. However, it’s just not fully refreshed some of the property is in decent shape and some is in need of some TLC. Decent food a little too pricey for the quality, but it’s a chain so it’s to be expected. The pools are great and there are 4 of them. The beach in front of the hotel isn’t really swim-able but it’s a two minute walk south or north to excellent swimming. The views on the ocean side are fantastic and from what we could tell, the sunsets are amazing on the lagoon side. Everything is pretty darn clean. We did avoid the timeshare sales pitches and opted for Airbnb experiences over the hotels excursions. While the giant tour bus with its ac sounded cool - we just couldn’t justify the $$$.

Nice resort. Property outside and beach are beautiful. Rooms are average and could use update to interior. Bathrooms are small with small showers and a tub. Everything was clean and room service was prompt. We were on the first floor but had a patio with direct access to pool and beach area. The pools were nice there were 4 and my favorite a large Jacuzzi as well. Breakfast buffet was adequate. Location is perfect. It's at the end of hotel zone strip. Quieter area than most and easy access to all the hotel zone malls stores and downtown. We traveled the strip by bus during the day to go to dinner and shopping at the mall. It was clean and safe on the bus. The margaritas making class was fun! The host were entertaining and animated 🤣

I went back and forth as to whether to give this hotel 2 or 3 stars. Our stay was okay. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The resort is directly on the beach and we always found a spot to lay out, with an umbrella and a side table, right on the water. The fitness center was seriously next level. I have never been to a hotel that has had a better one. The food was okay. Breakfast was the best. Tons of options and worth the $25 per person. The guacamole served at the sports bar was FANTASTIC and clearly a very popular menu item. The other restaurant, Sea and Stone, had okay food, but we had a lot better meals driving to the restaurants up the road. The rooms were basic. We arrived during a rainstorm and our room was flooded. They came and cleaned it up immediately, but didn't have another room to offer us. Our shower leaked EVERY DAY and we had to put towels in front of it that got soaked. We told them about this, but it was shrugged off. They do try to pressure you to buy a timeshare..we almost felt like our room was a punishment because we didn't buy in. The reason why I hesitated to give 3 stars over 2, is their service staff. The housekeepers, servers, doorman and maintenance people was phenomenal. I have never been so well cared for in my life. They were extremely attentive and on top of everything. While the Westin lacked in comfort, they excelled in the hiring of their staff. If you don't care about the quality of your room, and want to be well looked after, this is the place for you.

I enjoyed my stay at the Westin very much. The Hotel is inviting, and the staff and management are friendly. The seafood restaurant overlooking the beach is excellent. I enjoyed the seafood one night and a steak on another visit. The service in and around the Hotel is excellent. I thought that the pool bar seemed to close a bit early, but the sports bar was is a nearby option. We enjoyed the sports bar menu at lunchtime. There is a nice variety of food available. We will be back. Cheers

I only stayed one night at the Cancun Westin (my friends and I treated ourselves after fishing trip and before departing the next day), but the hotel was fantastic and staff was so nice. The resort is big but feels cozy and is right on the beach. The atmosphere is very laid back and welcoming, while maintaining the fanciness. Everyone was incredibly accommodating and helpful. The spa staff (Aldo, Sergio, Annette, and Claudia) allowed me to workout after my check out and was sure to get me to the airport on time. It was really sweet of them! When I come back to Cancun, I will always stay here.

Me and my friend stayed here last Nov 2-7. Overall, the experience was great! The beach in this area is so pristine! The location is strategic especially when you commute as the bus stop is just almost at the hotel main entrance/guard house. Except for 1 single thing that we did not like. The concierge receptionist at the hotel building where we were checked in was not very accommodating, frowning all the time, does not know how to greet client and just the aura is so heavy. If I am not mistaken, she goes by the name of Liz. You need to reassign her where she does not need to constantly interact with people. Being at the front desk, you need to be pleasing, warm to people, and anticipative. Well, she’s definitely not. But as I said, overall experience was great!

Hotel older but well-maintained and both public and private areas are very clean. We had an oceanview room, stunning vista. We did the buffet breakfast all 7 days, and ate all our dinners at Arenas Sports Bar . The food was good, and Alejandro, our server most of the time at Arenas , was THE BEST. Beach is gorgeous as are the pools ,and plenty of available towels on site. There is a concierge service for questions about anything, very helpful. (Never felt the need to leave the property.)Bottled water supplied every day in the room was appreciated as drinking tap water is not recommended. A lovely, relaxing way to spend a week.

We stayed here for 3 nights in July of 2022 and really enjoyed our stay. I gave four stars because the rooms are minimally furnished and ours always felt a little muggy, but the location was wonderful and everyone was very friendly. We got a package deal that included $50 credit each day for food. It was a good fit for us since we weren't looking for an all inclusive resort. We tried the two restaurants and the breakfast and all were good but nothing stood out as exceptional. The breakfast did have a wide variety of food and beverages which we appreciated. I particularly liked the location of this resort because it was on a classic looking part of the beach with a lot of waves but also very close to some calmer parts which were nice when the water was rougher.

Staff were very nice and the beach is lovely. Definitely no longer four star hotel. The place is a bit run down and need paint, plaster, new furniture, flooring. I know COVID was really hard for the hospitality industry and money for upkeep was/is probably lacking.

We had a lovely stay here. Everyone was very friendly and this place is in a good location right on the beach with quite a few pools. Buffet breakfast is reasonably priced for a resort but isn't anything to write home about. We plan on staying here again in the future. Saw dolphins out in the ocean almost every day.

My stay was very welcoming and easy. The hotel is under renovation however that doesn’t stop the beautiful ocean view or the pool experience . The staff was friendly, and always ready to assist. The food at the sports bar was excellent! The grounds are beautiful and always manicured by staff. I only have one suggestion for improvement, please provide transportation for your guest to/ from the airport. Thank you for a beautiful and relaxing stay!

1st night staying at the Villa section everything was 5 stars. Proceeded to all inclusive for next 5 days, then stayed in the older section on last night before flying out. We found a black curly hair on the bathroom counter by the sink. I went to front desk with a picture. They said sorry, and will send a cleaner back to the room. One came and attempted to clean the bathroom, when she walked out, my wife went into the bathroom and the hair was still there. She caught the cleaner in the hall and brought her back in to see the hair. Still had a great time at the pool that afternoon and pleased it was so close to the airport.

I enjoyed our 10-day stay at this hotel. The beach is very nice, and the rooms were very good too. The service at the restaurants was excellent. The quality of food was very good and the rooms were well cleaned. Public transport was also easy to figure out due to the helpfulness of the concierge. The only concerns I can think of is that they sometimes forgot to restock the soap during housekeeping, exchanging currency at the front desk took over an hour, and the customer service at the front desk was not on par with American standards.

Second visit to this resort and will continue to come back. All we need is at this hotel; beautiful grounds, ocean front, spa, great food and drinks, and amazing staff. Love that this is a smaller, low key resort that is not overly crowded. The staff is so kind and attentive to all needs. Food: Breakfast is delicious with lots of great choices, but would love to been able to serve ourselves in the buffet area. Sea & Stones has excellent food and staff, and sitting feet away from the ocean while enjoying a delicious meal was wonderful. Food and drinks delivered to us at the pool and beach added to our relaxing experience. Just sad they no longer had the happy hour. Spa: very nice spa amenities, but would not return. Pricey and unfortunately my massage was mediocre. Rooms: clean and up to date. Though seemed like furniture and decor had been removed as it was a bit bare. Also the window only opens about 5 inches so not able to enjoy the full ocean breeze. Covid testing: quick and convenient right off the lobby. Also less expensive than it would be to do off site. Grounds: perfect size pools and lots of seating options at the pool and near the ocean. Extremely clean and the Westin scent is the best! Staff: absolutely the most kind and accommodating people ever! We’ll be back here each year.

We stayed for 15 nights, the room was huge and the bed really comfy. The hotel service is exceptional, best we have experienced. The staff are so professional and friendly, they can’t do enough for you. We got engaged whilst we were on holiday here and the concierge Wendy went above and beyond helping me plan the engagement at the Sea and Sands hotel restaurant, maintaining the surprise and booking a professional photographer, really going the extra mile. 5 stars highly recommended!

This hotel has an amazing location on the beachfront with a beautiful private beach! This is the only good reason to stay here. Otherwise the rooms are not nice designed, ( our huge room was half empty as there was not a office or a small sofa instead the entire room had only the king size bed snd 2 chairs..). Breakfast is good, staff are nice and well trained, parking is free. The hotel needs one more restaurant, business area for remote workers and a renovation in the rooms asap.

[Caution] 1. You can not drink and eat own drinks and snacks on the beach and the pool. This is not a getaway, more like a prison because many things are restricted. 2. Our flight is at 7pm and we kindly asked if it's possible for late check out, since it would be really nice if we can take a shower after using the pool and beach. Don't mind if they just say no. But they told me to check with the front desk the next day morning, if our room isn't booked then we can get late check out. The next day the guy at the front desk didn't even mind checking and refused immediately. I've checked their website and they got many empty rooms. Just be honest at first for not considering to give any late check outs will be much greater than pretending to act politely but doesn't care for their customers, I mean why being so rude and fake. Btw, the concierge and bell are great, they are willing to help. Note: You deserve much better service with 200 dollars per night.

This is a resort I will come to again and again when visiting Cancun. The pool and seating options are diverse and you can always find a great spot. The staff were all friendly and attentive across the resort, and the cleaning staff are top notch! Our room was clean, spacious, smelled good, and had a great balcony overlooking treetops and the lagoon. The food is solid for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, however Sea and Stones is overpriced for the quality. The location is wonderful with a bus stop right out front and a very calm cove for swimming just a 5 minute walk away. For the price this resort is a gem!

Wonderful getaway. The location along the hotel zone I'm Cancun is wonderful. The beach is just a stones throw away. The menu items are limited so if you're there for a while and don't want to step out options are done quite quickly. The staff is super friendly. The only complaint I have was they had a blackout for almost the whole day with no solution. No electricity, no wifi, and no comps for the inconvenience. The staff did try to help but they could only do so much.

Nice property, somewhat dated. Lots of pools and some quieter ones. The beach towards Club Med is protected and calmer. Prices are quite good for the stay/property. However, drinks and meals are very expensive. Wish ratings were out of 10 and/or percentage. Would probably go 8.5 or 85%

  • 3/5 Marnie T. 2 years ago on Google
The rating isn't a slam. It's a decent hotel in a beautiful location. The staff were helpful and friendly. The building seems old and has quirks, and our room was very Spartan and noisy. Very few outlets within easy access. Good proximity (about 10 minutes) from airport. As interrupted flyers we were grateful they had room for us on short notice and I wish we could have enjoyed the beautiful water and sand. I would be cautious of the slippery bathroom floor when wet and the shower water temperature varied greatly for me but not so much for my spouse. It was awkward to work the smooth round shower controls with wet, soapy hands. The floors are tile which makes sense for a water/sand focused hotel but contributes to noise and are unforgiving.

I’m writing not only to share that the upgraded facilities are beautiful but specifically to share an appreciation for the management. The hotel manager, Johanna, provided a great deal of personal attention for my wife when she had ongoing medical issues at the hotel. She worked closely with the hotel doctor to ensure my wife was comfortable over a period of days, including after hours. I am supremely grateful for Johanna and the team at the resort. We will certainly return.

Definitely Value for Money! Big shout out to the front desk receptionist Jorge that checked us in! Jorge was welcoming, kind, patient with requests and accommodating! Thank you Jorge! This resort is value for money! Tail end of hotel zone so reasonably priced! Clean, oceanfront, great pools! Exceptional service and so pretty! Enjoy the colors of Cancun while not paying through your nose! Definitely recommend it!

We stayed here for 4 nights, got a good deal as my husband is a member. The hotel room was a little dated but spacious and clean. Staffs were helpful and polite, kudos to our concierge Sebastian - he helped us book activities with good price and pointed us to delicious local restaurants. We value his recommendations much. Food was ok, not impressed by the price, but you probably wanted to go outside to explore more options when you decided to stay in an non-inclusive hotel. Overall a nice stay!

The building is Vintage, so the rooms are vintage as well. But just know that they are working on the hotel and giving it a remodeling slowly but surely. The staff on board was super nice and very helpful with all of our questions and needs. The breakfast was good and bad. They give the option of a continental breakfast of you can order from the menu. They had a variety of delicious juices to choose from but the orange 🍊 juice was just perfect. The options for the Continental breakfast was good on some days and not so good on other days. Overall the experience of the whole thing was very nice and peaceful. A calm vibe. - @according2teau 👽🦄

This was a great stay for us. As someone who doesn’t like to be near all the loud night life and congested area of the hotel zone. The Westin was very clean, had great service and was in a great location. The food was good , but wish there we’re a few more options on the lunch menu. We loved our server Vicente he was so attentive and looked after us, if we were in the pool, on the beach or moved location to chase shade he was always there! The life guard was also very attentive! We also loved that there was so many pools so we didn’t have to hear Anna banana (The activities manger) also most of the pools are shaded by mid afternoon. We loved are stay and think we picked the best hotel in the Cancun hotel zone!

  • 5/5 Shelly B. 1 year ago on Google
The Westin was beautiful and fun and we had a great dinner with stunning views of the ocean. There was a live mariachi band and we even had a private serenade. That end of the hotel zone was vibrant without feeling like you needed ear plugs just to be able to fall asleep. The only negatives were that the hotel shuttle and breakfast included did not materialize. Otherwise we loved it!

Shabby resort seemingly designed around selling timeshares. Wouldn't give late check out despite the hotel being pretty empty, didn't reserve us a hospitality room for our toddler when we asked for it and told us it was all booked up day of. Expensive mediocre food at the arena sports bar and Palomar market. Coffee machine in room didn't work and was told to just buy coffee. Good location for staying a night after landing late at cancun airport but would avoid otherwise

  • 3/5 D'Hannah 10 months ago on Google
Had great diversity among the breakfast but not only did it not taste good but their " free breakfast plan" in the reservations are only for 2 adults with children under 12. So if you booked a trip here and paid for free breakfast as 2 adults and one kid it doesn't apply to anyone who has kids over 12. We tried to say that's not what it said when we booked it initially but not only did we have a bill at the end of our breakfast but we also can't have a refund on the package deal of having free breakfast that doesn't even make sense to have anymore. The beach and lunch is amazing but, the breakfast was ridiculous.

Choice fatigue choosing a cancun resort? This is the place to go! We started at another hotel and had a bad experience, so picked a brand we knew and moved to here. The experience exceeded our expectations! Breathtaking room views, the pool with swim up bar is right on the gorgeous private beach. Room service anytime. Really good quality food. But most of all, the staff made the experience! Even with any little snafu, they followed up and made sure we had everything we needed at all times. The server at the fancier evening restaurant made sure our anniversary dinner was special. The kids club staff were all so sweet and our daughter had a blast there. Fitness center was perfect. Only tip is the food and drinks cost will add up quickly compared to all inclusive places, but you get what you pay for so worth it imo!

Don't forget to use HoteITully.ᴄᴏm when booking any hotel. This web site will compare countless booking websites and typically will have prices much cheaper compared to others! You're welcome :)! This place is the best rated in this area. I've been coming here for a long time. If you choose this place you for sure won't be disappointed. Massive hotel and the architectural design is mind blowing. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Excellent customer service. The hotel is just by the beach for your early mornings and evenings walk. Delicious delicacies at a very surprising affordable prices. Rooms are huge and the beds are very comfortable. Need a little vacation, Westin is the place to be. Very family and couple friendly. Highly recommended.

The staff work very hard to keep you happy. The food in the sports bar is good and the TV s are very good. Little things were going wrong. We had a great room with a kitchen including a dishwasher. But the sink and dishwasher did not have hot water. We were bothered by one of the elevators because the door would close but wouldn't go up so we had to go down and wait for another elevator. Our room keys stopped working at the same time so we had to go back to the lobby to get them fixed and got momentarily stuck in the elevator. My only real complaint is the air-conditioning fan is really loud. Everything else was great. The beach and pools are very good.

We decided to stay one more day in Cancun and we chose The Westin. This location is beautiful, the outside has the most beautiful views, there is plenty to do here. They offer events, have restaurants and bars, a little store and plenty to pick from The room's view was gorgeous and the beds were comfortable but the bathroom could use a major update, I noticed some stuff around the room that could use updates as well. They did get me with the offer they had and I cannot wait to go back!!!!

Stayed in a 2 bedroom ocean facing suite for one night before we flew out. Beds were comfortable and room was clean. Front desk check-in and shift manager was not helpful in assisting us in accommodation request, even checking in as Titanium Elite Status. Based on customer service, I would not stay at this hotel again.
