My husband and I came to celebrate our 10-year wedding anniversary. We literally had not traveled anywhere outside the U.S. since our honeymoon. This by far exceeded our expectations. We had the best service at every restaurant and Rey was an outstanding guy that made our days SO enjoyable on the beach. Our room was always cleaned daily and everyone from the front desk staff to the waiters and waitresses to the cleaning crew were beyond helpful and just SO nice. The food at the buffet wasn't our favorite but we found things we liked and pretty much ate the same things for breakfast every day. Hakka was our favorite restaurant to eat at. Al Mar was good too! Honestly, all the restaurants were great in their own way. I think the one improvement the buffet area could make is keeping the food hot longer in the night for guests who may not eat there right at 5:30. Otherwise it was great. The coffee shop being open early was perfect and the lobby bar being open late til 1am was great too! We just enjoyed ourselves to the fullest.

Really nice hotel, perfect place on a decent budget while still having the full resort feel. We got the all inclusive - I don't think it was worth it (we were only there one night, so didn't get to take advantage of a lot). I'm a top 10% google reviewer, and I was a little freaked at some of the reviews.... This place is cool, down to earth, normal. I think the Karen's of the world posted some crazy reviews! Lol. Tips for you: Get the room, pay as you go. No all inclusive. Towels for the pool at the front desk (wish they had told us at check in!) Whole property easy to walk in 5-10 minutes - looks huge on the map they give you, it's very manageable. Pools are great! Enjoy! Folks here are friendly - tip your bartenders very well - they are good - a big tip at the first order, make it seen - and a little tip every time you order = they and you are both very happy!

Nice place to stay if you're not picky! Our room was just right for us. My kids and I had a great time! Stayed 7 days.Customer service was good. Everyone is very nice and friendly. Had a bit of an emergency. They were more than helpful in translating and attending my son and I at the walk-in clinic and the pharmacy. Lots of stuff to do here from watching nightly entertainment to jet skiing to the water gym and boat tours.

The service quality is very good, and the catering is also good, but the room equipment is old and needs to be upgraded. Originally, we thought the location was the pier and the small beach. Fortunately, the next day we found that the left side also belonged to this hotel, left side of the beach there is more like the Caribbean Sea. On the whole, this hotel is suitable for people who are not picky!

Had an enjoyable stay. The location of the hotel is perfect. The service was great. Special thanks to Jane the Manager for her kindness and assistance when needed. Waiters at the iguanas restaurant were top notch. 👌 special thanks to Armando. The week stay was amazing. Will surely go back.

I don’t have very much good to say about this hotel. 20 percent of staff was friendly but a lot were rude. Beach is nice but a lot of sea weeds. Hotel is super run down and there was a lot of trash on the beach. The beach chairs are super heavy and a lot broken. The food left a lot to be desired and was cold multiple times. My wife and both sons got a stomach bug assuming from the food. They were going to charge me for my son puking if he puked on the sheets. I’m not sure how it’s possible to have bad drinks from the bar but they were able to do it. Tv didn’t work, internet was spotty. You could hear everything in the room. We had no clue of different things going on in the hotel. And if you asked staff each one said something different. But then when you are leaving they want you to leave a good review. Never coming back here and super glad to be home.

We stayed here at the beginning of December 2023 with the family. The territory of the hotel is green, the sea was amazing. The staff was friendly and the food was really good. There was a Maxican day with all the Mexican dishes. On the rest of the days during our 1-week stay the food was from different regions but everything was tasty and fresh and the service in the restaurant was great. They also serve sushi, pizza and burgers during the day in other restaurants which are also quite good. The selection of drinks was more than enough. The property has some stairs when you move around but not a lot. They provided complimentry 2 bottles of water daily and there was a filter in the hall. The room itself is not so new and the faucets in the washroom could have been more convenient. But the overall stay for the price was decent.

We loved it! Very clean, the staff and service are incredible (1st class), and the food is fantastic! The buffet had a different theme every night for dinner (Italian, Mexican, Asian, etc.....), and breakfast and lunch were great every day. For lack of a better name, I'll call it "the snack bar" has great burgers and tacos. The gym facility is better than most hotels and resorts.....and the spa is AMAZING! some of the best massages I've ever had (and I get them a couple times a month).....I'm positive all of them are equally as good, but my wife and I had Olga and Mary Carmen for both of ours. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! The only suggestion I'd have is, more chairs around the pool and on the beach for when they're at max, or high-occupancy.

Im here for 1.5 weeks already from my 2 weeks trip to Cancun and I more than happy with this 3⭐️ hotel. Sometimes even 4⭐️ hotels are not as good as this one. Food is pretty good, rooms are not too bad at all. Service is very good. Location is great ( 1$ R1 or R2 bus 10 mins ride to the city or 10$ uber/didi x10 times more $$ ) i think for the money it was very good choice 👍🏼

Beautiful grounds, make sure do all inclusive trust me you won't regret it. All you can eat and drink all day with great food and verity to select. Staff were great, helpful. They accommodate us very nicely, music and fiesta every night at the hotel. Happy times. PS: Don't forget to tip the staffs they don't expect you to, but it goes a long way.

The resort was very welcoming and accommodating from the moment we walked in. The hotel is a little small with only 3 restaurants but the staff is very attentive with food and drinks and any other accommodations you may need. The food was decent for an all inclusive and had a good variety for the buffet style with fresh fruit and juice every day. A very short walk to the beach and a outdoor pool overlooking the ocean. The hotel was very clean and getting covid tested was a simple process. The staff at this resort are very friendly. The bar staff was always ready to make any drink. Would definitely return!

Overall a pleasant stay which we enjoyed to the fullest almost till the end. Lovely staff throughout and especially the staff at Hakka and in the poolside bar did a fantastic job, not to mention the kind service every morning at the buffet restaurant. Warning! Be cautious of the hotel policy where they cut you off from pretty much everything at check out at 12pm. Without your all inclusive band you feel less worth. With my Expedia Gold status I opted for late check-out. Most hotels would give me till 2pm. I got 12.30pm. By the time I got to my room five minutes after the hour my bracelet to open the door had stopped working. We left the room just before 12.30 and sent my family to order lunch while I checked out. The staff instantly asked where my family were as they were removing their all inclusive bracelets. The person from the front desk actually walked into the restaurants with me to remove all bracelets. The staff would then not accept our order and the hotel demanded US$10 per person for the meal that would have been included 30 minutes later. The way they handled this was humiliating to me and my family and extremely poor service not informing me about this when asking for later check-out. Happening right there at check out gave a bitter taste to what was about to become an almost flawless stay.

Everyone that helped us at Oleo was very kind. The service staff were beyond sweet. I would say that the restaurant food was not great. Best food I had at Oleo was the snacks! Tacos were amazing - at the pool and outside during breakfast. Guacamole was very good, but only got it upon request. Again - the staff were outstanding. Our room smelled so bad sometimes, like sewage scent was pumping in from the air vents. I also would have preferred if the outdoor amenities were offered later. We had to leave the pool area early and the "hot tub" was not hot. It would have been nice to enjoy a hot tub and a drink after the sun went down. Not TOO late, but at least until 10-1030.

Was a little taken back by the room looked pretty rough compared to the pics online, the new was unbearable able tho. Food was great drinks were good. The beach area was so nice and peaceful plenty of chairs and loungers. Staff was very accommodating and kind. The Mexican night in the courtyard area was very fun with good food and entertainment. Would definitely stay again.

We had a fabulous stay with you. The staff are amazing. They work so hard and always with a smile. We had a great room that was so big and airy. The bed was huge. The only constructive critism we would say is the indoor areas are too cold. In all the restaurants and bar area the air con is on too low and it is freezing. Thank you for such a great stay and for making us feel so safe during covid.

We were so impressed with our stay....the staff is amazing, in particular Rodriguez, Manuel, and Elizabeth! They just understood what a vacation should be and the room staff was over the top with the little gifts of fruit, champagne, chocolates, drinks etc. We had a great experience at Oleo and will not hesitate to come back again. Thank you for making our time off the best it could possibly be!

Allthough this hotel is a little dated. Its a nice location we stayed in building 3 which has beautiful views and 2 balconies. The food does have its days but theres always something to pick at. Most guest seem to be mexican very few canadians or americans. Hotel staff are very nice and try to go out of their way to help.

This hotel was not worth the price for what we paid. For the same price we could off gotten something better. My grandfather had an accident going up the stairs and they were not prepare to take medical attention. The food was ok. The only good thing is that staff are nice. Rooms were not so great the bathroom would get all wet because their was no sliding glass door or even a curtain. I do not recome y this hotel. If it was cheaper sure. But not for what is worth.

This place is a dump. We landed here and stayed for one night before we left to another hotel. The hotel processed a refund for the original booking and gave me a receipt and said to "expect the refund in a couple days" and then they would charge me a new charge for the single night stay... well 3 months later, no refund and they ACTUALLY contested my dispute with my credit card company providing all details except the new charge and my refund/checkout receipt. I'll be going to the authorities and likely switching credit card companies if they don't resolve this. Good luck everyone.

We stayed there for a week and had amazing time. On our first day we were not satisfied with our room and Zury moved us to a better room, it completely Changed our whole experience as we felt so comfortable after. We can never thank him enough for doing that. Food, music, beach everything was good. I really want to appreciate efforts of all staff members who work so hard all day around, always smiling, greeting, such a lovely people. We loved their entertainment staff, pool side activities, mexican night was beautiful, traditional dance, music, full of life. They have nice bar, and staff serving drinks were also so kind specially Jose. Will always remember our stay there.

The hotel staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. They work extremely hard and offer a faultless service. The cleanliness is top tier and all equipment and facilities are good quality. The entertainment could do with a bigger budget for games/Archery/volleyball/live bands would have been a welcomed addition. Seating 6 people to dine in the sushi restaurant seemed to cause issues and service was slow leaving us feeling ignored during 3 separate visits. This was all worth it because the food was so fantastic. Overall an amazing hotel and i wouldnt hesitate to recommend to others / return to visit myself!

We arrived at this hotel planning to enjoy a few days of vacation with my husband. The lady at the reception serious face and was not at all friendly. They placed us in a room located between air conditioning filters. The bed and pillows are super uncomfortable. The condition of hygiene and terrible health. The food disgusting and everything dirty. The worst thing was the second night we couldn't sleep because of so much noise from all sides and they were hammering in another nearby room. We decided with my husband to change hotels and when requesting a refund of the unused days they took advantage of discounting one more night. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT, it is a waste of money from him. lousy service also

My wife and I visited last week and stayed in an European style room. To be honest, I would not book this hotel again because the least expectation does not meet the price what I am paying for, rather, I would budget to add few hundreds more to stay in quality hotel. The most downside is staying at European style room that you can’t buy food/drinks from their restaurants without buying inclusive package which is $ 38 per person as per night to stay (you have to buy this package just to use their restaurants/bars). And if you stay 3 nights you just can’t buy for one night regardless to breakfast/lunch/dinner. The room and bathroom was okay but there was no door with standing shower which causes splash all over the floor. Make sure you know that there is no fine restaurants nearby except their own restaurants. Also would like to add, reception staffs were very nice and friendly.

We stayed here for an all-inclusive vacation from February 19 to 26, 2023. The service was excellent, and all of the servers and hotel staff were great. The food was consistently good, especially the pizza bar and the buffet. The location is pretty good and is right next to the ferry terminal. The room we stayed in was alright but definitely needed a little more upkeep. The bathroom, in particular, needs a new mirror and counter as they were cracked and chipped. My other criticism would be the hotel needs more beach chairs, and tables at the beach bar. Overall a pleasant experience!

This hotel has been remodeled since I was here last. The rooms are much nicer and there are noted improvements in the reception and bar area including a new coffee and pastry shop which is mostly included in the price. All areas are well kept including the beach, which threw up a load of sea grass every morning and before 10 am it was all raked up. The staff is great of course. I will return.

The hotel was a great value and was very comfortable. Stefano went out of his way to make sure I was always taken care of and had everything I needed. Your staff is excellent and all are very helpful. The room was a little outdated but clean. The shower does seem to flood the bathroom and the room due to insufficient draining. But the staff was quick to help clean it up. Overall, very happy with my stay - the food was tasty and the pool was lovely. Will return again.

We were in Mexico for 2 weeks in 3 different locations and Oleo was by far the best. Incredible staff, perfect location and a beautiful hotel. The food was incredible and we can't wait to come back. Shout out to Kevin who was super helpful. Massages with Olga and Danielle were the best!

We (family of 4 with two children aged 5 and 8) stayed for 4 nights in April 2022 and had a great time. Our room, the lobby, pool, beach, restaurants/bars were immaculately clean and attended by eager staff. The food at the daily buffets was fresh and always changing. Kids and adults can find great food for breakfast, lunch and dinner there. The two specialty restaurants were also good but young children might have trouble finding foods they will always prefer but the waiters/waitresses were able to make accommodations for their young palates. The bartenders are fast and ready with a cocktail or beer/wine and the kids' club staff pay attention to the children and have fun things planned for them daily (even rain days). Our room was spacious and had a great view of the ocean and beach. Not at all loud at night. Easy to meet other travelers and a good mix of young and old and different nationalities.

We've been going to the Oleo yearly and once again, it was an amazing vacation. The staff are great and really go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of. Their focus is on personalizing your visit and trying to make sure you don't feel like just some random person. Staff greeted us by our names, said hello constantly, and were always checking on us and seeing if we needed anything. This was at the pool of course, but also as we were just walking around. The experience there keeps getting better and better, in my opinion. There are many options regarding resorts in that area, with some being huge sprawling properties with hundreds of rooms and but this one is a little smaller and more personal, and it feels like you're spending time with family or friends and not just a number!!?? The resort itself is perfectly situated right on the beach, with plenty of food and drink options 24/7. The rooms are well put together and clean/comfortable. We would highly recommend this resort for anyone looking for a smaller, more personal and definitely personalized but amazing experience. I know we will return as soon as possible!!

My 9 day holiday was very pleasant and relaxing. Beach fronted hotel, lovely and clean. Pool area and snack bar was really good, the other 3 restaurants were great. Food was tasty and were open early and closed late. A mention to the Brown bag café was brilliant, ready with my tea. All staff were friendly and helpful. Good entertainment for day of the dead celebrations. I had spa massage and facial treatment from 'Marie Carmen' was a excellent therapist and a fabulous facial. Spa facilities were excellent. Only thing I would say is that not enough sun beds as always taken early in the morning. More beach tents and sun beds needed. I would definitely recommend this hotel. I would visit again for sure.

The hotel is awesome. The pictures did not lie. I loved the beach view from the reception. Room was great, food and drink was great, music awesome. The staff were awesome. Did not notice a long face on any of them. They love the kids and always tried to engage the kids. I think the only issue I would point out is they need more activities for children. Pool, slides, splashes etc.

I liked my stay. I wish the pool was open later than 7pm. More authentic Mexican dishes would be nice, that's what I'm visiting Mexico for. The main issue I have is the resort employees constantly trying to get you to come to their presentation. I was there to relax and enjoy my birthday. Every minute a resort employee saw me they were asking did I sign up for their presentation. It was very annoying. As soon as you check in they're trying to sell you an excursion or offering discounts if you come to their presentation. Traveling can be exhausting and the last thing I want when I check in is to be bombarded with personal questions and setting morning appointments for a presentation I could care less about.

We had a wonderful experience. When we first got there our room was very hot, AC not working, but quickly got moved to another room. Service was excellent. People, workers were excellent, very friendly and helpful! Some of the great help there was Manuel, Sheila and Edgar. They were outstanding! I would definitely return. Thank you.

My wife surprised me with an anniversary getaway in September. She told me about the hotel and its advertised amenities and the great reviews. When we arrived we were very pleased to discover all of it was true! Our room (jr. suite) was fantastic. The ocean views were incredible and unfortunately all our pictures do not do the colors of blue their justice. All of the hotel employees are friendly, approachable and ready to help in any way. Their English was way better than our Spanish. The bed was extremely comfortable and the air conditioning worked wonderfully. (Outside Temperature +-88 F, humidity +-75). All inclusive resort sounds too good to be true and often is with poor food choices and weak drinks. Here the variety of dining options was impressive. I will be truthful and found the buffet to be my least favorite of the dining choices. The service, cleanliness and organization of the buffet was top notch but some of the main dishes were just so so. But, as there were many other choices we always found a satisfying meal. The coffee cafe' was a hit with good cappuccinos, fresh tasty desserts and brioche sandwiches. Both dinner houses were wonderful experiences, no crowds, amazing views, and fresh delicious food. There is a swim up bar always hopping but the bartenders are quick and I never had to wait for a drink. The beach was the reason we came and that's where we parked. The service to our shaded chairs was friendly and quick too. Nothing like sipping a mango margarita and staring at the turquoise ocean and feeling like you are the only people there. There are tours and activities available but we chose to stay put. My wife and I were very impressed with how many people were working at the resort and seeming to enjoy what they are doing. It was a pleasant change form all the businesses in Southern California running on skeleton crews and dropping the ball on customer service and cleanliness.

The staff were amazing. Christian was my first point of contact and he was very friendly and positive and talked about all of the things the resort offered and what the city had to offer. His customer service was genuinely appreciated. Andrea helped me book excursions and there are at least 10 to choose from. The pools are nice, especially the swim up bar. However, since this is not an adult only resort you may be next to kids who are jumping in. Lol. The beach is a great view. However, there was a ton of seaweed and you couldn’t enjoy it as you would like. Honestly, the food is descent for the price (all inclusive). I would love to see more restaurants added as there are only 3. There is a Mediterranean restaurant, an Asian cuisine restaurant, and a buffet with a different choice of food each night. I would also like to see shuttle service included from the airport. I’m sure since this hotel has been revamped it will evolve into something much greater. Oh and the rooms are nice, comfortable and cool. They’re very up to date and you’ll enjoy it with the 24/7 room service. I also had a spa session and it was amazing to say the least. I would recommend this hotel to many others.
