Plus: The resort is nice. The people that work over there is very gentle and warm. Minus: A night you cannot walk because they give water to the plants with dirty water and the smell is horrendous. The food is a lot BUT its quality is very very cheap. I got food poisoning at the beginning of my vacation in one of the most fancy restaurant of the village. After that my vacation was destroyed. I was definitely happy to be back at home. Very disappointing experience.

Phenomenal experience! Food and drink service offered variety and excellent service with short lines and prompt service for drinks. Shows are very impressive, most notably the acrobatics. Staff is friendly with interesting backgrounds and life experiences. Clean beach with drink service and water still warm during last week of November. Other travelers are very approachable, social, and friendly. Would highly recommend!

This is a great place to vacation. All inclusive is very nice. It includes, meals throughout the day, drinks and a good portion of activities. There is always ways to spend out of pocket money but this place here, I feel does the all inclusive great. The meals at the buffet are good, snacks bars throughout the resort. They do themed evening entertainment, which is good and can be more fun if you let loose and get involved. Remember, you're there to have a good time so do the chicken dance and the electric slide... you'll have fun. The water is warm and clear. Sign up for the activities for the early part of the day. Also, schedule at least 1 excursion. Have a great time! Tell em Dre sent ya!

Great place to take the family for vacation. A lot of things for the entire family to do. You can do excursions outside of the resort or you can stay on the resort and still have plenty to do. Rooms are nice and the staff keeps them well cleaned. The staff was amazingly helpful the entire time. Would absolutely go back the kids had a blast. On top of that it was incredibly relaxing.

Everything was perfect. Endless food options, all great tasting and you can eat healthy or splurge. Staff is very attentive and friendly. Great drinks. Fun activities for everyone . Amazing place to stay if you like to be physically active and explore new activities. Petite club for our toddler was very good, he enjoyed it for a few hours and the care provided was great, caregivers who seem to enjoy their work and do their best. Add to this a beautiful scenery , and we had one of the best vacations so far

Was overall OK. Food and rooms were decent but nothing special. I was surprised at the lack of servers and drink stations but the drinks were solid (as long as you asked for non rail). The beach was nice but did take them almost two days to clear the beach after we got hit with wind. Overall an OK place but feel there are MUCH better places to go.

I do not recommend this Club Med. We stayed at Club Med Cancún during Thanksgiving weekend. The room was run down, felt like a motel room and the floors were sticky we had to wear shoes the whole time. The hotel smells of body fluids, specifically the bar area which is a public area and hosts many daytime activities. There was a certain corridor next to the bar area we had to pass through to get to the reception which required us to hold our breath because it smelt so bad. It felt this area had seen so much vomit that no amount of bleach can help. The food was mediocre, mostly the presentation was lacking, for example the “smoothie” in the morning which looked like a lump. Best things about it are the kids club and the awesome beach.

Tldr: Great hotel for families with both small & teen kids - not so enjoyable for families. All in all we enjoyed our stay at Club Med Cancun, though we had many ambivalent feelings about the hotel. It has a great potential, however certain things need to significantly improve in order to prove its value for money. Let's start with what is excellent in this hotel: - The location: it's close to the airport (15-20 mins by car), but already in the hotel zone, without the businessess of it. - The environment: it has a beautiful beach, access to the reef next to its shores, a very nice lagoon and a lot of animals around the resort. - The food: we were surprised by the quality of the main restaurant, it was actually even better on some of the nights than the special restaurants that you needed to book in advance. Lots of choices, tasty food with both international and local options. - The variety of sport opportunities: there were countless of activities you could choose from in the hotel, most of them for free, including snorkelling, standup paddle board, sailing, tennis, pickleball, gym, pilates etc. Some things were simply fine - they could be improved, but were at an acceptable quality: - Digital readiness: we liked the application that included all the daily activities and where you could also add requests to the staff regarding your room. It could be improved to add the ability to apply for the daily activities or book tables to the restaurants. - Evening shows: there were interesting shows each evening after dinner where mostly external artists performed - those were in general of great quality. We also enjoyed the 'shows' that the local GOs added before and after the 'professional' shows in the first few days, however afterwards they became super repetitive. Each evening the DJ played the same playlist and the MCs had the same speeches. Not a lot of creativity. Furthermore, in the 'parties' that were organised in the evenings, mostly 14-18-year-old teens danced with their instructors / animators. Finally, there are a few areas for significant improvements - these things made us decide that we don't really want to return to Cancún and Club Med anytime soon: - Quality of drinks: the quality of drinks was terrible and not necessarily because of the quality of the ingredients, but the lack of skills of the bartenders. They didn't know how to prepare even basic cocktails or coffees and even if they sometimes succeeded to deliver okayish ones, next time they messed up again. When you pay that much for all-inclusive packages, you want to enjoy your drinks, too. - GOs / animators making small children shouting stupid 'songs' all day when moving from one part to another part of the hotel: in the beginning we were smiling as the children looked cute & nice, but after 3-4 days believe me this goes on the nerves of adults. And you hear that every 10-15 minutes from your rooms, at the beach, in the restaurant, everywhere. - Quality of sport activities: while the choice was amazing, the quality of the equipment and the instructors were really subpar. For instance, playing tennis was a nightmare with the rackets the hotel provided. I would suggest rather having fewer but higher quality options. Last but not least, guests should also consider the timing of their bookings. In the beginning of our holiday the hotel was running at 60-70% capacity, while at the end - close to Christmas - at around 90-100% capacity. The difference was very visible as the quality of everything degraded significantly for those days and it was really difficult to get a table at the restaurants or spots in the sport activities. So if you book for high season, expect lower quality in general.

Had an awesome week at this resort. Staff were very friendly and most obliging and helpful. Unfortunately the beach was full of sea weed which affected our swimming. The Go’s were great and the shows fantastic and it was awesome to have the outside performers combined with the regular GO crew shows. Was a little disappointed with the food which we found to be quite boring. Food was not as good as some of the other club meds we’ve been to. It was adequate however and we did not go hungry. Would definitely come back here. The Vibe and the entertainment in the resort was great and this made it for us. The sports team were really amazing. Also felt the room was tired and needs renovating but was very clean and housekeeping did a great job.

The Aguamarina family rooms are great for families. Loads of activities and a great family pool. Nighttime shows are nice. This is where the good stuff ends. Our older kids didn't care for the kids club, he felt it was for little kids (8 and younger). The food was poor and options very were limited. We all got "Mexico Tummy". One kid got croup from the kids club and the insurance they offer couldn't find us so we had to pay a few hundred dollars cash to see a doctor and get a prescription. The resort was nearly empty due to COVID limits and the activities were still almost impossible to book. The staff unwelcoming and to preoccupied with private event to give the rest of the guests the service we paid for. Overall I would not recommend and we will not return to a Club Med property. We have sent emails to Club Med prior to posting a review and received no response.

Awesome resort that caters to families. Well run and easy to walk around with lots of activities. Spa is beautiful and so peaceful. Amazing Trapeze team that made me feel like I was able to join the circus having never tried it before! Posted their names in a picture below. Only downside was the locker area we had to use because we didn't want to pay extra for a few extra hours for our room to shower before we flew out later in the day. It didn't have great a/c given how hot it is and it was quite small considering the number of people using it.

Putting a 5 star overall review here while the rooms and hospitality, customer service was just about average, the real reason for an overall 5 star is for the service given by one of the restaurant servers named Mario at the Taco Arte. He served me and my family every time we had breakfast and lunch there. He was amazing and also so attentive to our needs. He constantly checked up on us to ensure we were having a good time or if we needed anything. Would highly recommend this place just for Mario. From his favorite Asian family with Twin girls.

This ended up being a great trip with my kids and my dad. Plenty of things to do, from sailing to snorkeling, though some days a lot of these might be closed due to weather. Did not take advantage of the child care, but it is available. It was very nice to be able to walk to any of the restaurants with my kids and just hit the buffet, which was generally of adequate quality and excellent variety.

We had a wonderful holiday at this hotel. Incredible animation, professional organization of evening shows! Lots of different sports, including tennis and catamaran lessons! The children are engaged in the kids club and perform in children's evening shows, archery and trapeze flying!! I would especially like to mention the warm helpful presence of Yulia from Guest Relations! She helped resolve every issue that we had encountered, and thanks to her our experience at the hotel was unforgettable! My family appreciates the entire Club Med team!

I had an exceptional experience at Club Med in Cancun for our 10-year wedding anniversary party! The staff's friendliness and accommodation were outstanding. Olivia helped plan things well before our arrival even though she wasn’t going to be there during the time we stayed. Carlos went above and beyond, organizing a fantastic restaurant space and ensuring seamless meals and champagne service. His restaurant staff run around and manage to provide incredible service. (Except for Marcela, who made many families’ breakfasts a bit awkward with her negative attitude) 😆 Anyway, the therapist named Candy at the spa provided a wonderful massage. Highly recommend. Though the resort feels a bit dated (in comparison to the newer hotels in the hotel zone), the upkeep and maintenance is superb. It’s welcoming staff and the abundance of high quality activities made it an excellent choice for both us and the kids. All the equipment- snorkels, paddle boards, pickleball was top notch. We Loved the morning tennis drills with great tennis coaches. And all of its all inclusive! The only thing is, I wish they had room service. We really just ate at taco arte and hacienda for the 8 days we stayed. Five stars for the location- only 10-15 mins from airport. Everything is at the resort. Never felt the need to leave. Overall 5 stars for unforgettable memories and superb service!

Overall a good experience. All-inclusive resorts aren’t usually what I go for, but my large extended family includes a lot of kids and it was really convenient that they had so much to entertain them. There were also a lot of fun activities for adults—we especially enjoyed the trapeze. The people who worked there on 12/22 were especially awesome. Bella, Chucho, Luke, Edgar, and Micka, thanks so much! Also a big thanks to Mary, the reception manager who helped us out with a complicated reservation issue. She was fantastic, and so was Carmen, the woman I got a massage from in the spa. The only thing I took off a star for was our room—3118. Our bed was actually two twin beds pushed together, which left that annoying crack in the middle, and the mattresses were hard as a rock. Our room also smelled really mildew-y and swamp-y. Oh, and while most of the food was good, the desserts were pretty terrible. The custard-based desserts were usually split with that lumpy texture when the fat solids separate from the liquid, and the cakes were soggy and gross (and not just the pieces that had been sitting out on the buffet—we ordered a whole birthday cake and it was terrible). It would also be nice if they would label the ice cream flavors. The line for ice cream was always long, partially because every person had to ask what the flavors were.

Pros: My family had a great week at Club Med Cancun. Great buffet-style food options. Lots of activities in beautiful locations to choose from for the whole family, and a really friendly staff already put this at a solid 4.5 stars for my family. Cons: Not too many. the beds could be a bit more comfortable and we did a sit-down dinner at the steak house one night which where the food was of the same quality or worse than the buffet-style options. What tipped it from 4 stars to 5 stars was the fantastic circus team for the flying trapeze. I teach circus and have pretty high standards, but I was so impressed with how Chucho, Luke, Bella, Edgar and Micka set everyone up for success, prioritized safety, and pushed the whole family to learn and progress over the course of our stay. Hands down the best resort circus team/activity my family has participated in. One request would be more circus shows! There were a few highlights but with such a talented staff it would be fantastic if there were more opportunities to admire their skills!

All the staff we came in contact with were absolutely amazing. All of them were very helpful, and welcoming. We don’t know but maybe 4 words of Spanish and they were still very accommodating and helpful. When we didn’t understand each other we just took our time and figured things out. Such a great time! However, we didn’t like that when the kids club came out they had them yelling and screaming. Totally ridiculous! But we knew it wasn’t adults only. The location was beautiful, so perfect, and took my breath away the first time I seen it. It never got old. The entertainment was attention grabbing, and some of it was a really cool experience. Overall, everything was great.

Amazing experience in Club Med Cancun Great family time, we got to see sea turtles laying their eggs on the beach. Good parties at night led by the Chief of village Jose Luis and his assistant Ulysse. Already planning to come back next year.

This is definitely a family destination at this point. My last time there was 25 years ago when it was still adults only. Very different both good if that's what you want. The food is fine, many choices for every meal. The specialty restaurants aren't really worth the effort. The diving was fun. The underwater museum is something unique and worth seeing. The reef dives had plenty of fish and things to see. The SCUBA team and boat crew are great. The snorkeling is not really worth it unless you have little kids that haven't done it before. The free activities are a bit constraint. For the trapeze you probably get one go a day, the archery equipment is fine, but the arrows show age. The guy running the sailing has a bit of an attitude and needs to understand he's there for the customers not to enjoy his work day.

Best vacation ever! From the location, to the staff, to the food and drinks, everything was wonderful! We traveled with a group with no kids. We requested our rooms to be close to each other and all 4 rooms were side by side! Upgrade your room to ocean view. It was SO worth the extra money. Our rooms overlooked the main beach and we were close to all the restaurants and main pool! Make reservations the first day you arrive if you want to eat dinner at the other 2 restaurants that aren’t the buffet. Both were so delicious. The buffet is great as well and offers different main dishes each meal! Even thought tipping is not required and considered “included” we still tipped waiters, bar tenders, and house keepers and they treated our group like royalty and were so thankful. There is no ATM on the resort. Highly recommend the excursion to Isle Mujeres via a private boat ride there, golf cart around the island and then enjoying local food and drinks. Anyone worried about safety, I never felt unsafe or scared our entire trip, from the airport to the resort and back, everyone was super nice, friendly, and welcoming. We will definitely be back!

Such a amazing experience will have to come back soon! I loved making new friends which was possible because of James Bond from amazing Family and Serge with the 14-17 group and Ralph and Larissa with the 11-13 group who was our teens club guild he was so nice and had such a great energy. It would have been more fun though if the teens club had an excursion. Overall amazing place to stay

I would have given this resort a 4+ stars had the rooms been in better condition. They are old, dark, small and the beds were very uncomfortable. I had a backache after staying there for a week. They really need to renovate the rooms. This is unacceptable for paying $1,900 for 5 nights (flights not included). Also there are NO elevators to access any room. We had a big baby stroller so we demanded to be moved to the first floor after our first night. For a family resort, this was a huge misstep. Other than the accommodations, the resort was wonderful. Lots of fun activities, beautiful beach views, kids camp and excellent food! I really enjoyed their La Estrania steakhouse and ate there for lunch and dinner everyday. Just make sure you get reservations ASAP when you get there. Their steak and dinner plates are truly high end. I loved it. Until they update their accommodations, it's hard for me to recommend this resort for the price that we paid.

The Best Time Ever! We've been to many all inclusive resorts including in the Cancun area and Club Med takes the cake! From the beautiful location (Best beach in Cancun!), to the delicious food and entertainment, kids activities, and wonderful G.O.'s on staff you really couldn't find a more relaxing exhilarating and fun filled experience. We will return. Soon!

  • 4/5 CoreBiz U. 1 year ago on Google
We had a fantastic time. Club med is always a whole vibe. I love that the G.O. team are strongly encouraged to get know the visitors (have a meal with them) and make small talk. If I can give any critique...it would be for this particular property...to be more mindful of details. My OCD kicked in and I immediately noticed small things like a lamp shade in my room was ripped and could use a replacement.

Amazing family experience! From the activities, to the location, the shows, or the food…everything was great. A great thanks to the staff that is super friendly and full of attention and our warmest recognition to the staff from the mini club (Romain, Alexa, Mariana, Lucio, Joss), you guys made our stay even better, our kids loved it! We also enjoyed so much sailing with Alexis. Thank you all!

First time at Club Med. I am sold and going back despite our general nature to check out something new. I am not a huge fan of most all-inclusives, they have their place but they usually just mean eating and drinking which is good for a few days for me. Club Med offers so many activities with no hassle and just a positive vibe. This property is the gold on the strip. The diversity of the windward side, where the family kids pool is, perfect for sailing, which then turns in more of a reef, making for decent snorkeling. Then the northern main beach which makes for the back eddy of the Cancun southern strip, resulting in calm water is ideal. The food was very good. The main eating area offers great selection, fresh and high quality. I was happy to dine there for all meals. The steak house was better than most in Mexico. We did not eat in the Mexican restaurant as the word was it was not as good. Our room in the newer build Aquamarine was well designed and the other side of the room could be closed off for the kids who like to sleep in. The view and balcony was outstanding. I will say, now our kids are older, kids running down making lots of noise early in the morning and worse is the endless door slamming (did my kids do that - ya likely). Staff was top notch. Warm inviting and genuine. The vibe was great with a diverse clientele from many countries. It was not a scene. People doing there thing. Ya there was some people smoking next to me on the beach like it was 1970 but it wasn't bad - kind of funny. More shade for the beach would make sense. We we there for spring break so lots of young kids. There were not so many older teenagers. Looking forward to returning and perhaps checking out another club med location.
