Tldr:
Great
hotel
for
families
with
both
small
& teen
kids
-
not
so
enjoyable
for
families.
All
in
all
we
enjoyed
our
stay
at
Club
Med
Cancun,
though
we
had
many
ambivalent
feelings
about
the
hotel.
It
has
a
great
potential,
however
certain
things
need
to
significantly
improve
in
order
to
prove
its
value
for
money.
Let's
start
with
what
is
excellent
in
this
hotel:
-
The
location:
it's
close
to
the
airport
(15-20
mins
by
car),
but
already
in
the
hotel
zone,
without
the
businessess
of
it.
-
The
environment:
it
has
a
beautiful
beach,
access
to
the
reef
next
to
its
shores,
a
very
nice
lagoon
and
a
lot
of
animals
around
the
resort.
-
The
food:
we
were
surprised
by
the
quality
of
the
main
restaurant,
it
was
actually
even
better
on
some
of
the
nights
than
the
special
restaurants
that
you
needed
to
book
in
advance.
Lots
of
choices,
tasty
food
with
both
international
and
local
options.
-
The
variety
of
sport
opportunities:
there
were
countless
of
activities
you
could
choose
from
in
the
hotel,
most
of
them
for
free,
including
snorkelling,
standup
paddle
board,
sailing,
tennis,
pickleball,
gym,
pilates
etc.
Some
things
were
simply
fine
-
they
could
be
improved,
but
were
at
an
acceptable
quality:
-
Digital
readiness:
we
liked
the
application
that
included
all
the
daily
activities
and
where
you
could
also
add
requests
to
the
staff
regarding
your
room.
It
could
be
improved
to
add
the
ability
to
apply
for
the
daily
activities
or
book
tables
to
the
restaurants.
-
Evening
shows:
there
were
interesting
shows
each
evening
after
dinner
where
mostly
external
artists
performed
-
those
were
in
general
of
great
quality.
We
also
enjoyed
the
'shows'
that
the
local
GOs
added
before
and
after
the
'professional'
shows
in
the
first
few
days,
however
afterwards
they
became
super
repetitive.
Each
evening
the
DJ
played
the
same
playlist
and
the
MCs
had
the
same
speeches.
Not
a
lot
of
creativity.
Furthermore,
in
the
'parties'
that
were
organised
in
the
evenings,
mostly
14-18-year-old
teens
danced
with
their
instructors
/
animators.
Finally,
there
are
a
few
areas
for
significant
improvements
-
these
things
made
us
decide
that
we
don't
really
want
to
return
to
Cancún
and
Club
Med
anytime
soon:
-
Quality
of
drinks:
the
quality
of
drinks
was
terrible
and
not
necessarily
because
of
the
quality
of
the
ingredients,
but
the
lack
of
skills
of
the
bartenders.
They
didn't
know
how
to
prepare
even
basic
cocktails
or
coffees
and
even
if
they
sometimes
succeeded
to
deliver
okayish
ones,
next
time
they
messed
up
again.
When
you
pay
that
much
for
all-inclusive
packages,
you
want
to
enjoy
your
drinks,
too.
-
GOs
/
animators
making
small
children
shouting
stupid
'songs'
all
day
when
moving
from
one
part
to
another
part
of
the
hotel:
in
the
beginning
we
were
smiling
as
the
children
looked
cute
& nice,
but
after
3-4
days
believe
me
this
goes
on
the
nerves
of
adults.
And
you
hear
that
every
10-15
minutes
from
your
rooms,
at
the
beach,
in
the
restaurant,
everywhere.
-
Quality
of
sport
activities:
while
the
choice
was
amazing,
the
quality
of
the
equipment
and
the
instructors
were
really
subpar.
For
instance,
playing
tennis
was
a
nightmare
with
the
rackets
the
hotel
provided.
I
would
suggest
rather
having
fewer
but
higher
quality
options.
Last
but
not
least,
guests
should
also
consider
the
timing
of
their
bookings.
In
the
beginning
of
our
holiday
the
hotel
was
running
at
60-70%
capacity,
while
at
the
end
-
close
to
Christmas
-
at
around
90-100%
capacity.
The
difference
was
very
visible
as
the
quality
of
everything
degraded
significantly
for
those
days
and
it
was
really
difficult
to
get
a
table
at
the
restaurants
or
spots
in
the
sport
activities.
So
if
you
book
for
high
season,
expect
lower
quality
in
general.
