So far so good! Made it in 4 hours before checi-n COMPLETELY EXHAUSTED ,and in desperate need of sleep. Front desk staff was welcoming and willing to accommodate an early check-in for a reasonable fee. I was given the rundown of the place and easily found my capsule. Capsule was comfortable, however, you must request a blanket. After a few hours of needed sleep I found the showers and was pleased at the cleanliness of the women's restroom/shower area. The communal locker are was well maintained and clean. The surrounding area has something for everyone even four-legged critters. The Hotel does not allow pets. Not a problem, but nice to know if needed, a Petco is walking distance. Found a Day spa to relax. Life is GREAT!

I stayed there for 1 week, which way way to long. The capsule look very amazing (space vibes), but the isolation was really bad. You could hear there everything and also the cold from the floor came in, so I was really cold even with the blankets. The breakfast is very delicious, but every morning exactly the same, so you have seen eggs & banana-waffles after a few days. The staff was friendly & I really liked, how clean it was there. The bathroom & showers were really modern and you even had water aromatised with fresh fruits.

At first i was a little skeptical as I’m used to hotels, This was different from staying at a hotel but it was great specially for those that are mainly out and about. The place was always clean and smelled good. The customer service from all the employees was really good specially the guy with glasses at night and the girl with reddish hair with glasses (sorry didn’t get their name)! However, all the staff Was really friendly and very accommodating. The capsule was pretty spacious, the mattress is not as thick but not as bad as it could be. I encountered people from all over the world at this place so you’ll meet a little bit of many cultures. The location felt safe and located near restaurants, movies, gyms as well as a Walmart Express (aka neighborhood market in the US) and a Sam’s Club. The neighborhood behind this facility is a nice gated community and seemed to be mid-high income. The hotel zone is about 20 mins by car/taxi and the city center (open air market/ artisanal shops / mom and pop restaurants) about 10/15 mins. The only real con is the capsules don’t really get cold so you’ll sleep in room temp and if you’re a light sleeper you can hear the capsule doors opening and sometimes feel the vibration of the capsule on top or below when they’re entering/exiting. Overall, my experience here was great and I would recommend it to friends.

I like the place. I just didn't expected the rooms to be that small. In the pictures when I booked it I looked like a double bed and then it was just a single bed. And I don't know how they do it to make the rooms look so big in the pictures they are actually very tiny. I was okey for me maybe some of you will get disappointed when you arrive. Also, they have a Austen of lockers that its very useful since you can't get in hm with your bag in the capsule, unless it's a small bag. Overall I liked it because it was only one night. But I don't recommend it for long stays or families. It's more for backpackers or solotravelers. About the area. It's quite nice. Not in the downtown but has some nice restaurants around. I recommend PieDeElefante..

Good breakfast, friendly staff, and clean individual bathrooms! The capsules are incredible! This is perfect to rest a couple of days! Beds are ok for the price you pay! You can hear noise when they open capsule next to you, but nothing a pair of earplugs wont fix. It is a bit far from beaches, but it is close to airport.

Unique experience that I can only recommend. Located between airport and Cancun city. It's surrounded by restaurants, cafes, shops and even a cinema is just next to it. Very safe location. The hotel is very clean, especially the shared bathrooms. The capsule offers more than enough space and is very comfortable. The staff was super friendly and takes care about every detail. For that price I think you can't find anything better.

I'm currently in the hotel, it's my second day. And so far I'm really glad that I picked this one. Everyone is so helpful, it's clean, the breakfast was good. There's Walmart right in front of the hotel and the banks are really close too, so I would recommend it.

I never got to stay here because they unfortunately didn't have the room type available anymore (I requested to begin the stay a day earlier). No problem I thought, I'll just cancel the reservation. I should've known that after taking quite a few days to check on the room status that it would take awhile to respond to my cancellation request. What I didn't expect was that 6 weeks later after multiple outreach attempts, I would never hear from them. Ending up just having to dispute the charge, despite attempting to cancel 4 weeks in advance. Unfortunate.

Super cool place. I have never stayed in anything like it. The capsules were very spacious even for two people. The showers and locker rooms were really nice and clean. Tons of parking as well. Thanks for a great stay!

This place was so unique! Literally started in a futuristic pod only accessible with your key card. There's a lot of rules about being quiet while in your pod but as you are in there you see why. Very cool. Very unique, as well as a cool little hangout area for you to talk and have complimentary beverages! Full service locker room as well with a closed shower for privacy.

The room itself is reasonable, like other hostel rooms, except you get your own complete closed space (to be quiet in it, can’t take calls etc in it). Locker size is good. There is a scarcity of common space in dealing with your bags / luggage (as the rooms are quiet, you handle everything outside). Because it’s a single table shared by everyone to prepare / manage their luggage, it’s quite possible to loose / accidentally misplace your items. For room and lockers, you get two items, a bracelet and a key to manage (even though they are 1:1 correlated) The unfortunate thing is if you misplaced the key, they charge you a hefty 200 pesos (or $13) for it which is commonly free at all alternatives you would normally stay at. For bracelets, it’s 300 pesos. These simple plastic room cards which hardly cost 1 pesos (more like 20-30 centavos) have such a high incident cost that you have to be continually extra mindful of it here. Behavior wise people are good, however I need to rate low for tenant friendliness considering their unreasonable charges when you get unlucky. It’s on the 2nd floor (there is an escalator on one side but it stops post 9pm, so gotta get the stairs if you reach late)

I stayed here for a week. It’s alright if you’re looking for a cheap option in cancun but it does come with some major downsides. Adjacent pods with lights on bleed heavily into the other pods. Really annoying if you like sleeping in the dark and your neighboring pods leave lights on or have a TV on. It would be really cheap and simple to put some blackout fabric between the pods. The no noise policy is annoying during the day. The lobby is loud from the music and other patrons, the balcony/outside the hotel is loud from the adjacent highway traffic. If the no noise policy in the pods could be changed to a “low noise” policy during waking hours (say 10 am to 8 pm) it would be nice. The beds and pods themselves are very functional and nice. If the light issue is fixed I’ll change my review.

I need to give 10 stars for service! Everyone who worked there was so friendly (Pao was very helpful and Lees, and other workers helped me practice my very limited Spanish). Dante helped me out in a major way when I needed to contact my bank in the United States. The capsules are fun. It’s like being in a spaceship. Each capsule has it’s own light and air controls, tv, fire extinguisher and is completely private. Breakfast every morning was waffles and eggs and is included in the price. There was always free, delicious coffee. Some people might feel claustrophobic in the capsule, but I loved the privacy and feeling of safety. I highly recommend the yellow capsule!

The young man running the show when I got there was incredibly professional, knowledgeable and spoke great English. This place was an awesome value. The only thing they could have done better is sound proof the capsules better. Fortunately it's set up in a way where people are naturally very respectful of everyone else's sleep.

Nice hostel for short term stay. The capsules are tiny, they look larger on website. The hostel location is located in between the airport and downtown cancun. There are colectivo buses that run up and down the highway. You can these buses from hostel, to get to the airport and downtown cancun. They cost around $1.00

The price was good and included a little breakfast, but there were many items that were very flimsy, weak, or low quality. I would stay there again.

  • 5/5 Jasmine M. 8 months ago on Google
Super fun experience. They’re on top of a plaza so there’s also a lot of food option near by.

  • 4/5 K G. 1 year ago on Google
Super close to the airport. I had some light leaking in from the capsule over for an hour which was super weird but didn’t impact my sleep. They provide earplugs, which you will need if you’re sensitive to noise. Sounds like a constant whirring but with the earplugs turns into a full roar. Exactly what I needed before going back to work.

The capsule is nice and clean. Very futuristic look. A bit cold due to the AC but it was ok. The showers and bathrooms are very clean and good. There is shampoo, showering gel and even conditioner smelling like honey in the showers! I think the whole design is leaned on honeycombs because the capsules look kinda like combs, the shampoo smells like honey and the name of the hotel is yellow capsules. 🐝🍯 24/7h service, very kind and helpful 👌 The breakfast was super delishious - fried egg (with liquid eggyolk and seasoned well 👌👌) and crispy waffles with banana and maple sirup. It was really really good 🧇🍳 There is coffee, tea and water 24/7 and a simple and nice common area.

Everything was great! Super comfy and clean and quiet! Loved it! 2 big cons: 1) it’s freezing there, way to cold! 2) breakfast is way to small (I’m small and find it too little). Also they prepare it fresh which is good but no one told me it isn’t a buffet and I had timed it with my airport shuttle so I instead of my planned 30 min for eating I only had 2…..:(

  • 3/5 Byron R. 1 year ago on Google
Basic amenities. This is a hostel type lodging with group restrooms and bath. Host is nice. It is somewhat difficult to find with google maps. Keep in mind it is not right next to the airport. It is about 20 min away.

Interesting location. Not even close to a center, but beautiful, cozy and peaceful location Lots of attention for details. Stylish and comfortable, with tasty breakfast. Capsules are really good looking from in and outside with all you need facilities. But unfortunately made of thin plastic. But it’s okey) Really good place!

Everything especially the capsules there was awesome but i got bit by bed bugs during the night which totally sucked, still have the red marks on me 2 weeks later. Would rate 5 stars if the bed were not full for bugs. Also people made alot of noise at 5am which woke me up.

Great place to stay if you are traveling by yourself or even as a couple. The capsules are a cool concept and the bathrooms are nice. It's a great spot if you want to stay somewhere that is truly quiet 🙌🏾

Great place for solo travellers. Or if you will just be coming back to hotel to sleep and shower. Fresh hot breakfast made for you in the morning. Would recommend for sure. Not too expensive given that it’s in cancun tourist area.

This was such an excellent experience. The staff was very friendly and nice. It smells amazing when you walk in, the lockers were spacious enough for checking luggage and small carry on. Though the common space between the men and women’s bathrooms isn’t too big, it was large for me and my group of 3 friends to take out our bags and pull our change of clothes simultaneously. Most importantly, other guests respect your space and don’t touch your stuff or shoes that you leave at the door. Also, this place is so clean, the breakfast is delicious and I would encourage you to take some time to sit outside, they have the cutest outside space. They are conveniently located by a a couple of restaurants, Krispy Kreme, Walmart and pharmacies. I would definitely go back again.

The facility was clean, check in was easy. The employees spoke Spanish & English. We rented a queen capsule twice which sleeps 2 people, my boyfriend and I fit comfortably. The only reason for not 5 stars is how loud the other capsules are. I unfortunately had a man who snored loudly sleeping under me one night, and anytime someone opens the door to their capsule it is loud. I would stay here again for the price and location.

I was booked to stay but unfortunately my airline moved me to a later flight meaning I couldn’t make it. Although I didn’t stay, I wanted to write a review to say that my interaction with the staff was exceptional! They were very prompt to reply, over-delivering based on their own stated timeframes for response. They were very friendly and professional, and listened to the situation, ultimately assisting me to find a solution that suited me. Thank you! I live be staying here when I next go to Cancún due to this interaction.

We chose the Yellow Capsule so we could sightsee near Cancun for longer on the same budget, and it was completely worth it! Location: Quick ride from the airport, which they can arrange for you, and it’s in a nice neighborhood with multiple restaurants, cafes, and a convenience store within a short walk. We felt very safe and it was easy to find what we needed nearby. It’s not in downtown (probably for the best) and you’d need the bus/Uber/a ride to get to the more popular places, but a lot of the tours pick you up and drop you off, and since you’re on the main blvd, getting around is fairly easy. Staff: All the staff were really friendly and sweet, but we have to give a special shout out to Victor at the front. His English was perfect, and he helped us a ton with questions about the area and the facility. Facilities: The space does feel a little tight when there are multiple people trying to pack/unpack in the locker room, but overall, everything was spotlessly clean, and staying in the pods was a fun experience. The pod didn’t feel cramped to us at all, and it was nice and cool, with adjustable temp settings. We slept perfectly fine, maybe from all the exhaustion after sightseeing, and they provide earplugs, but if you’re particularly sensitive, it may help to bring noise cancelling earbuds and an eye mask. We loved the simple but hot breakfast they offered. Tours: Their website might need a few updates on what’s available—hotel zone beach shuttles no longer seem to be a thing, which is fine but it would be nice to cross that off the website. We booked the Chichen Itza tour, which happened to be by 13 Baktun tours. Check out their TripAdvisor reviews, they’re hilarious, but sadly also true. We loved the locations we visited, but were disappointed in the tour company. Not the Yellow Capsule’s fault, but we hope they’ll offer tours through a different company. Until then, book your own tours with pickup & dropoff. We also ventured out to Puerto Juarez then Isla Mujeres on our own which was really fun. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to come back!

Great futuristic place to spend a night. Clean, spacious and friendly, nice big terrace. Shame they do not have a little bar there, or at least a vending machine. However, I enjoyed unlimited supply of coffere and tea. Breakfast is unusual but very tasty.

Okay, I can't hold it no longer. In what case does it take longer than 4 weeks to get a refund from a hotel? I've requested for the cancellation of my stay on Nov. 30th and I still haven't got my refund yet. My original stay was Dec 18th. It's extremely annoying how they handle their booking cancellations.
