Our son's confidence and passion for martial arts have exponentially increased since he started attending The Martial Arts Center. Shihan Michael is a nurturing and inspiring leader. We are grateful to him and his team for the empowering space they have created.

Our son has been attending for a year now, starting at age 5, and without a doubt, has gained confidence and structure from his time here. The owner Shihan Mike understands how to connect with children, how to keep it fun, while also providing firm guidance. He expects our son to take his time at the dojo seriously, and we see the pride our son has for the sport outside of the dojo. It’s hard, and our son grumbles, like any 6yr old, but he persists - and that’s the point! This school is not a daycare where belts are given freely, rather a place to nourish discipline, confidence, and achievement. Highly recommend.

We started coming here over 3 years ago with our oldest son (then age 5) and our younger son started back in March and just completed his yellow belt test. We love how clean and safe the environment is, how quick the staff are in response to our inquiries and how professional the entire experience is. Shihan Mike is wonderful with the kids and parents. I myself even took some self-defense and kickboxing lessons with him and have cherished the knowledge and skill has has shared with me as well as my kiddos. We absolutely recommend this dojo for your martial arts experience.

Shihan Mike is great with the kids, he teaches them responsibility in ways that gives them confidence and makes them feel good about themselves. He expects respect & still makes it fun for everyone. He instills the importance of character in his teachings. He helps the kids stay focused, but understand they are still kids. It’s been a very important part of her every week & we look forward to growing with TMAC!

The Martial Arts Center is wonderful. My son is a current student and he enjoys attending class. Shihan Mike not only instructs his students on the physical techniques of martial arts, but he also focuses on building self esteem, respecting yourself and your peers, and being the best version of yourself. We are happy to be a part of such a wonderful program and I look forward to seeing my child grow within the school.
