Shrek the Musical This show was excellent! Although the view from our box seats was obstructed by speakers a good bit, when the actors were in the middle of the stage, it was truly wonderful to watch! The singing and costumes were absolutely worth the aggravation of the obstruction!! We’re going again, but just with better box seats next time!

Good acoustics, a nice environment. The venue is not terribly large, but the setting and and the environment are great. The prices are overall reasonable. Some great regional shows come through every year. Would also advise those with young children (or those of any age) to check out the black box theatre for smaller children’s shows.

An absolety fantastic show!!!!! We saw Cabaret on Sunday Oct 22 and thought it was spectaculer. The Springer Opera house was a great venue with close to the performance seating and a clean environment. The stage, set and Opera house was great. For the Cabaret - The lead actor was incredibly talented. He performed several songs and dances and his performance was an emotional roller coaster from happy to sad. All of the other actors and dancers were very talented and they put on a very entertaining show and one of my favorites. This was a musical with acting and again, all of the actors actresses and dancers were extremely talented. One reviewer below mentioned that the show was "demonic and shocking". I couldn't disagree more. This is not a play for little kids because it does include adult topics. Knowing that beforehand should be pretty easy to determine by reading the title of the play - CABARET! If you are offended by scantily clad women and men dancing and topics related to sex and war then maybe it isn't for you and you should know this ahead of time rather than leaving a negative review. And I would also like to add that leaving a 1 star review for a venue because you disliked a show you saw there is the problem with reviews. Your review can negatively impact the Springer Opera House business and is inappropriate because it is completely a review of a show and not the facility that put on the production.

Caberet was by far the most terrible performance my family has ever seen. Demonic and shocking. This is the first performance my family has disliked. Save your money especially VIP but if you do VIP you will certainly need the wine to get through it.

My wife and I saw Cabaret and we loved it! Very intimate theater. Everyone in the production did amazing! Larren Woodward and Christian Becerra were definitely the stars of the show! We will definitely be returning to see more!

I took a tour on 11/22/23. My tour guide was Jimmy. I was the only one. I felt like a Celebrity. It is so beautiful and well maintained. I learned so much about the history. I saw a third floor balcony that was used during segregation. I had a tour of the costume room and took a photo on the stage. Everyone was so nice. I purchased a ticket for Murder on the Orient Express in January. I am so glad we have this beautiful State Theater.
