Wow! This Chinese food is actually, for real, good! This is the third time we have eaten here and our second "last minute takeout" but it certainly won't be the last. Nick helped us out with our kind of spastic phone order and remained not only calm but cool! He was super helpful for the second time we've met him. EXCELLENT FOOD, and EXTREMELY FRIENDLY! Highly recommend. They were kind of busy, but my order was fast. I got Szechuan Chicken, Pork Lo Mein and Crab Rangoon. Both entrees were seasoned excellently and very fresh. The crab rangoon was very good too...a little sweeter than I would normally go for, but still very good. I had king Pao chicken and an egg roll - all delicious! I wish the entrees came with egg roll or soup like at restaurants I've gone to in the past, but I don't hold it against them. Fantastic Chinese food and this will definitely be my go-to Chinese take out in Bham!

Small place but very friendly staff, lunch was very good and plenty but only draw back was fried pork wontons were a little extra crispy to the point i couldnt break but service was fast and place was busy so i will go back but not the wontons

I cannot stop raving about this restaurant. They seriously went above and beyond from start to finish. I really wanted some Chinese food, but I wasn't near my favorite location. This just happened to me the closest Chinese food to me and had really good reviews, so I decided to give it a chance. I walked in, and everything was very clean and organized. I was greeted immediately, and I placed an order for general TSO's chicken with fried rice, an egg roll, and crab rangoons. It took about 10 minutes for my food to come out, but while I was waiting, I noticed other customers were coming in. Each customer that came in, the woman behind the register, greeted them by name. She had obviously developed a relationship with these people and has repeat business. When my food was ready I took it to go. I was driving to Florida so I had to eat it in my car. I didn't start eating until 15 minutes after I left the store. It was still so hot that I couldn't hold the food on my lap. I had to have it on the dashboard and eat it. When I was finished, the dashboard was so hot from the chicken that I genuinely could not believe how hot the food was kept. The crab rangoons had to have been homemade. I've never had crab rangoons that tasted like that. You could actually taste the crab, and it was delicious. Egg roll was on point. And the general shows chicken. It was like this Chinese food restaurant got chicken breasts, cut them up, breaded them themselves, and made sauce from scratch. Everything tasted like it was 100% made at that store. I will say this Chinese food is a little bit more on the expensive side but it is worth every penny. The food fed me and my friend for 2 days. It's a large quantity with good quality.

One of our two favorite places for Chinese food. They know our order when we call. They don't mind if we ask for minor menu adjustments (like no scallions). The food is always hot and ready fast. Friendly staff.

The best Chinese in Cahaba Heights. Service is great, owners know your name and order. Egg rolls are amazing and so is the Mongolian beef.

First time visiting because the Chinese food in my area has gone downhill, & my first impression is that even if the food was bad, I would come back simply because of how welcoming they are and how I felt like they were excited I came. Coworker had the sesame chicken. He said it was good. I had Mongolian chicken & it was good. If they add a little spicy I'd probably say it was great. I'll order something spicy next time I go. Egg rolls tasted nice and fresh and perfectly crispy. No complaints. I already see some stuff I want to try so after a few more trips there I'll update my review to give an overall impression on consistency. Which to me is most important.

This is one of my my go to stops for a quick lunch at the office. Not only is the food great, affordably priced and quick but the staff is the friendliest group of folks. The store is very clean too.

This place was great. The staff was very nice and welcoming. The portion sizes were pretty big. I was very happy with the mooshu chicken and my boyfriend liked his kung pao beef. Everything tasted fresh and yummy. We will definitely be back.

This is our favorite Friday takeout place. My husband and I have tried many things from the menu and have never been disappointed. Some of our favorites are the broccoli beef, Mongolian combination, house hot and sour soup, and the chicken teriyaki skewers. Everyone that works at Chen's is incredibly nice and helpful as well.

My wife and I used to eat here weekly until we changed our diet. While our current lifestyle doesn't allow us to eat here we miss it and talk about it often! Not the most authentic but friendly family, good quality, and generous portions. If only they offer vegan options like some other restaurants in town.
