The 90s/00s Dave party is the best party in Atlanta. 80s nights are good too, or maybe the retro hip-hop nights are more your thing. Regardless, the venue is a bit of a dive, in the best way possible. The place is small, simple and spartan, but with a consistently packed, jubilant dancefloor and uncommonly reasonable drink prices, anyone with a positive attitude will have a good time. If you're looking for a fancy scene or an impressive backdrop for your selfies, this is not it. But if you want to dress up in an outrageous outfit and dance for hours in a fun, energetic crowd, this is the party you've been looking for.

The security guy who works the front door deserves all the credit for my five star rating! He was so friendly and helpful which is so important to me as a woman on a night out. He let me step outside so I could get service and let me bring my drink with me so it wasn’t left unattended, he checked on me, etc. Apart from that, great crowd, great vibes.

Love going to the basement! The only thing I absolutely can’t stand is the slow bartenders. Especially on busy event nights. They simply need more bartenders. The bartenders are nice, but they are usually overwhelmed and it takes forever to get a drink order which ruins the vibe, as you spend a ton of time just standing there instead of dancing. Aside from that I’d totally recommend a night out at the Basement.

Always have a great time here! You get a fun, dancey bar with an awesome DJ and rotating theme nights without the intimidation factor of some of the larger dance clubs. LGBT-friendly space, always a diverse crowd. DJ Kimber is incredible! Close to nearby late-night food options if you're hungry afterwards. Love this neighborhood space!

It was my very first time coming here and all I gotta say is that I lived my absolute best life. I came for the Atlanta Disco Society event that I saw on Facebook. I loved the idea of people dressing up in 70’s attire and just enjoying the company of others who are looking to enjoy a night of dancing! I also dig the 21+ rule because I don’t want to worry about people who aren’t mature enough to have a good time. It was a very organized and tamed event and everyone was friendly and respectful of others and people were able to look out for the well-being of others. I’m upset that I wasn’t aware of this before but I’m sure glad I know about it and I’m definitely going to drag more of my friends so they can definitely get to enjoy this. I’m also super excited to see the professional pics from the event. I’m glad to rate this 5 ⭐️ which is rare for me. I hope whoever reads this will consider attending the Atlanta Disco Society’s next dance event! YOU!👏🏾WILL!👏🏾NOT!👏🏾REGRET!👏🏾IT!

Horrible place. Staff there on Saturday they are supper rude with everyone, specially a bartender girl with a long black hair, she is the worst, she doesn’t serve you if she don’t go with your face. You guys should invest in better service.

After randomly making eye contact with the bar tender he came over yelled there where many people ahead of me and told me to he was going to assault me if he caught me looking at him. When he later asked for our order he refused to sell us a water bottle or give us water and mocked us.

Yet another classic dive bar in the EAV area. Provided you get here early enough, parking behind the building usually isn't an issue. I saw Tengger Cavalry here less than a year before Nature committed suicide. Cloven Hoof and Sanctuary also performed here. Sound is great, drinks are not overly expensive, and plenty of fun memories came out of this place.

It was blazing hot on the inside! I'm not sure if it was due to a lack of air conditioning or if it was because of the swarm of shirtless dudes. The bartenders were working overtime and it was appreciated! There's a patio on the side of the building which was getting a lot of use. I love that they accept credit cards at the door, though for a $2 fee, which is small when compared to the convenience and the safety of not carrying cash. The DJ was very good! It was an 80's themed dance party and I now have a new appreciation for the era. We were drenched in sweat by the time we left, so good times were had.

Not enjoyable when you spend 30 minutes wrapping around the bar trying to get service. Good vibe but definitely lacking when not imbibing.

Fun bar and crowd to boot. Limited bar but who cares! It's like drinking in your basement while your parents are out of town- you get what you got- you still get buzzed and you still have a blast with your friends

Went on a Saturday night with some friends. It started getting live around 1am. Music selection was good. People were friendly. Bringing a flask next time. The drinks were ridiculously expensive for the b.s. they gave you. But I'd definitely go back.

It was the Hot Mess dance party hosted by NonseneATL! It was fun but I do wish they played a wider variety of artists like they advertised on the event promotions

Fantastic club with a great atmosphere. The staff were really polite and the DJs were great. My only complaint is that the bartenders were quite slow, took me 30 minutes to get a shot. They were nice though.

Always a fun time! Cover was a little high but the drinks inside were very reasonably priced so it evened out.
