Overall, we had a good experience. The staff was all very friendly and the space was very clean and well put together. The Illuminarium experience itself (African Safari) was very neat and nothing we’ve experienced before but after about 10-15 minutes, you’ll probably be ready to go but the entire experience lasts for about 45 minutes. Of course, you can stay for as short or as long as you’d like. I recommend using the guide book to check off animals that you see - this will make it more of a scavenger hunt and more fun! We paid for the All Inclusive Package which basically gave us flexibility in arrival time and also $10/each to the shop or cafe. I don’t think either is worth paying the extra unless you are for sure going to eat at the cafe. The cafe was fine. We tried the BRAAI SOUTH AFRICAN BBQ and the White Cheddar Mac and Cheese. The BBQ was a tad dry but tasted fine. The mac and cheese was tasty. Plus we paid for both with our $20 in credits from our tickets. Overall, it’s a neat experience and if you have kids, then you’ll definitely want to check it out.

Ages 6mo-61yo & we all enjoyed it, though the adults appreciated it more. The sites are beautiful & realistic. You can walk around or sit to watch. Small facts pop up on the screen to tell you interesting info. We were told we may feel & smell the experience but it was only audio & visual for us. There are bathrooms, a gift shop, & a small restaurant/cafe/bar. We plan to return to take advantage of Illuminarium After Dark with adults only.

Me & my family went here last night & had a blast ! Drinks were very good, the atmosphere was very calm it wasn’t too packed it was $50 a person. Staff was very energetic and nice. There’s 2 rooms where you can sit and watch the screen or read the little book they provide you. (Minus one star)because I don’t understand why you guys felt the need to stare us down after you just seen my family buy your overpriced hoodies. I work in retail I know how it is.

In town visiting and looking for things to do. There's a lot happening around this area. So overall a good find. There's a room with a bar and food off the main room. It got pretty live. The main attraction is cool and interactive. Good for a date... or if you need to kill time. I don't know that I'd go to it twice. There's a bar in the main room with different seating areas. The floor is interactive and the views are cool.

The main takeaway here is that this was NOT worth the ticket price. I came here last night for an After Dark Album Release Experience/Dance Party and while it was fun, it was not worth $45. Positives: the food and drinks were pretty good, the valet was only $3 and was very convenient, there was plenty of seating/room to dance, and they had a few fun photo ops. Negatives: calling it an “experience” is a stretch. It was just the same 4 projections playing on a loop and had nothing to do with the artist or even matched with the songs playing. There was one theme that was catered to the event which was cool but it felt lazily put together (see image with hilarious typo). Also, the service was incredibly slow because they had ONE server for the whole event. She did a GREAT job but they should have had more help for her. In addition, the DJ did their best but the song choices were strange and their ad libs were off-putting. Overall, not a terrible time! But it’s only worth half the ticket price so I don’t think I would come again.

Out of this world experience! Traveling from out of town looking for a fun girl's night out..Illuminarium was just what we hoped it would be! A fun and safe place to go out for drinks and entertainment. A cool (not crowded) bar atmosphere. Entire staff was very welcoming from the moment we walked in. Creative visual effects with a variety of music to coincide from all different time periods. Something for everyone! We went to the Space After Dark option but they have different times and options for all ages. Convenient parking lot offering options of both paid as well as valet parking. We almost didn't come after reading a few of the not so favorable Google reviews. So happy we didn't listen! My friends and I will remember Illuminarium as a wonderful evening and adventure during our trip to Atlanta!

This was cool for about the first 15 minutes. After that it's just boring! I was expecting to be blown away with an amazing experience of lights, but this was literally just a large room with video projected on the walls and a vibrating floor... sometimes. I did the Safari. It's video, but some of them have really cheesy fake images stuck in them. It'd be a cool place to chill under the right circumstances, but God help you if you get stuck in here with kids! Also, the staff was just ALL IN THE WAY! I had to politely ask one guy to move out of the way of the wall so I could take pics! And for what they charge, I could have rented an 82" tv for the week and just watched BBC nature docs and been more satisfied. I wound up just walking out. I'd only recommend this to people with very small children who are still easily amused.

From start to finish we had an amazing experience!! We brought our youth group YC3 up from Augusta, GA to experience the Wildlife scene and our guide was fun and personable. The room and all of the scenes were truly phenomenal. It put me a place of tranquility, I didn't want to leave. The kids really enjoyed themselves and were able to mark off the animals they spotted inside of the tour book. Definitely recommend going.

We went to the “wild safari” themed show and the staff members were super inviting from the moment we entered the door. An amazing immersive experience and makes for great photos. Only complaint is that I thought there were more rooms to enter, not just one main room, but still an awesome experience. The artwork in the gift shop is beautiful as well. Will definitely go back for another theme in the future.

Great experience of Safari. Feels out of the word from projection technology. One of a kind. We picked this as we had couple of days in Atlanta during Christmas break. Kids (9,6) loved it. Parking : valet parking or $3 per 3 hours very next to the facility. It was not busy at all this Christmas break. First head to box office to scan your tickets. We bought online tickets and prices (service fees etc) are same price as at the gates. Have to arrive 5 min before the time picked. We picked package which included wild life book and one snack coupon per ticket. Options for snacks are basic (see attached photo of snack bar) . I would recommend packing Food as their snack/food bar was way over priced ! One of the most expensive bag of sun chip I have ever bough !! Whole experience takes about 35-45 min total. I would recommend enjoying technology and beautiful immersive safari experience. See attached photo. Don’t buy the most expensive package or combo. I don’t think it is worth it.

I thought this was a for sure pretty cool experience. I took my 14 month old son and my mother and we all really enjoyed. I will say it's less than what I expected, but enjoyable still. We spent about an hour and 20 mins or so there, mainly for my son who loved the interactive floors and of course all the sights and sounds. I think the Illuminarium After Dark would be a cool date night, but wouldn't personally pay to go again after seeing it already.

I had an amazing experience at the Illuminarium in Atlanta. I saw WILD over the summer and was really impressed, and I just saw WINTERLAND twice this month. I loved it! During the day time they offer free hot chocolate, and at night, they have a bar (not free) but what an experience! Depending on where you are, you can hear the crunching of the snow as the bears walk across, or the sound of the waterfall icing up, or the sound of the chimes, and so much more, I can't describe it all. It was an incredible experience and it totally puts you in the mood for the holiday season. I loved it. Go enjoy!

We had a great time on a Thursday wild after dark experience. The images and sounds were astounding. Getting there was quite difficult. It is in the same complex as New Realm brewing. GPS will not get you to the Illuminarium so put in the brewery instead. Also, masks are not required. Normally I wouldn’t go to a place that didn’t require them but they have very high tech filters.

This was the coolest experience I've done in a long time! The music, the sound system, it was magical!! There was even some interaction moments with footprints on the moon and busting astroids. We made a special stop on our road trip (out of the way) to check this out because I love Space and I was so nervous it was a waste of time and money but NO! Not in the least! I will suggest skipping the cafe. It's nothing special and pricey for what you get

It was a wonderful experience to hear the sounds of the animals. The drinks and food are really good ,the mini tacos and the loaded fries. The only thing I did not see was the menu for the African cuisine. Overall it's and awesome atmosphere.

Good for kids, a date or with a good buzz. First, I did this with my special needs kid who has a seizure disorder and loves the moon. The gal on the phone was very helpful with details. No strobe but very loud at times. My kid really likes it but covered her ears during some loud parts. Thanks. This is 45 minutes or so of stunning visuals with a variety of music and a smidge of narration. It has factiods but is mostly about immersive wonder. It's on a continuous repeat, and they let people in every 15 minutes or so. If you're interested in a specific show, check the schedule. On our day, they had Space until 2pm and Wonderland after 2. Adults ambled about or sat on couches to let it flow over them. There were a few kids running around. They offer sensory packets with things like fidgets and headphones. I could see how this would be a pleasant way to relax with a cocktail. They have later showings where they open the bar and only allow people over 21. We went early on a Sunday and it was not crowded. If it were more affordable, I'd go back soon.

We did the adult night and dinner experience. The dinner was decent. The salad was a nice quality, the appetizers were not my thing but my family enjoyed it. We all got three different entrees and the beef tenderloin was the best. Thr food was a little lukewarm depending on the entree. The actual experience isn't what I expected but it was cute. It's a lot like a VR experience. The staff were all very kind and helpful. It may have been a little overpriced but it was a nice night out.

This was such an unexpected surprise and a really great time. It far surpassed my expectations. We went to the "after dark" showing on a Saturday night, which was their "Space" exhibit, we also picked the first showing at 6:30pm. This allowed us to be in the first, small group of people. It really made a difference, no kids and few people which allowed for great pictures and overall experience. You enter the first room which is in "space", they had a DJ and bar and munchies. After the first room, they opened the doors to the 2nd, main room and it was breathtaking. The whole experience was just so unique. They also have "Wild" and a type of "alice in wonderland" exhibits. I will def be back to experience those. The staff was really nice and fun! Great DJ and bar service. Highly recommend.

The winter wonderland experience is pretty neat. It’s a good place to take the kids to run around if it’s too cold or rainy to be outside. It’s a big room with stations for photos and letters to Santa and hot chocolate. They give you a light up necklace and candy cane as well. We went at 11AM when they opened and within an hour it filled up. The price is a bit steep for what you get but all in all it was worth it.

Great experience! My wife and kids really enjoyed our time there. The visuals and the sound are stunning. I would love to have this in a room in my basement. Having their footprints follow the kids around was cute, exciting and engaging. As for the show, for me personally the content could have been a little more engaging. I think the storytelling in "Planet Earth" would have been right for this venue. Definitely worth the time and money for a one-time viewing.

Very impressed. Unique and cool experience that literally makes you feel you are at the place. I went on a real Safari in Africa once and I still enjoyed this version. Went during the week in early afternoon with my family so parking was available, but I can see that evenings or weekends it might be an issue.

I went here last night for my goddaughter's birthday, and it was an okay experience. It wasn't what I expected. It is just a room with projections of space stuff on the walls and floors. There is nothing fancy about the place. The only reason I'm giving it two stars is because my son enjoyed running around the open area, looking at the projections and jumping on the asteroids that project onto the ground and break. I definitely will not be back. The price for what you get is not worth it.

Overall I did enjoy the event and was glad that I went, but it was mildly underwhelming and overpriced. I attended the After Dark event and with the all-inclusive $50 ticket you receive the option to purchase drinks and appetizers. The drinks were good, but pricey and the appetizers were okay. If I attended again I would not get an appetizer. The staff however was incredible! Everyone was very sweet and considerate and definitely made the experience much more incredible!

My friend and I bought tickets to attend a "Kpop" event here, and to say it was disappointing would be a major understatement. Upon entering, the only decoration was a prom-style streamer display by the front door. The only thing "kpop" about it was the music playing and a giant pink lettering of the word "kpop" projected on the wall. The projections were generic and underwhelming art pieces (stars, neon squiggles, etc.) and the kpop-inspired cocktails that were mentioned in the flyer were just one bottled drink and a mocktail with two random kpop group names attached, and they were expensive. The DJ was really trying to hype people up - probably the only positive aspect - but of the few people in attendance, everyone clearly looked disappointed, underwhelmed, and embarrassed to be there. I think everyone expected there to be kpop music videos or visuals playing on the projectors, at the very least. The organizers clearly put no thought into the event or even tried to make it fit the theme. We spent $45 each on tickets and didn't even stay 45 minutes due to how laughably bad it was. I don't think I will ever visit this venue again due to how poorly the event was handled.

My son is autistic so I asked in advance if any part of this was frightening or super startling. The attendant mentioned a thunderstorm portion that gets pretty loud but that was about it. They offered the use of noise cancelling headphones and other accommodations, if we needed them and I REALLY appreciated that. We went in without using any accommodations and truly enjoyed this experience. Between the beautiful African scenery, sound effects and vibrations, it really made you feel as though you are watching the animals around you.

I have mixed feelings on this one. Although I did have higher expectations …it is an unique experience. You go in one room and the walls change scenes for about 40 minutes before it starts over. The scenes are amazing but for what it is I think it’s overpriced. My 7 year old loved it but quickly got bored. Let’s just say it’s not a place I would return to like the aquarium or the zoo. If your debating which ticket to buy… go for the standard one.

Ok so I guess I was expecting too much. It was nice, very interesting to see the different animals. The graphics were amazing! Feeling the ground rumble from the elephants the rain and foot prints as you walked was so cool. I just thought it would be more to it. More interactive besides sitting in one room and watch the screen change. Maybe do it as an actual walking experience thru different rooms or the 3d glasses would have been amazing! We do the wild after dark it was supposed to include a voucher for cafe (which we did not receive) instead we were given a drink ticket. Which was disappointing because I wanted to try some African food of which there also was none in the cafe. I saw other reviews where the staff explained things and people who got to eat the authentic African food, maybe we went on a bad night. But all in all we enjoyed our girls night, could have been better. Oh and the parking IS HORRIFIC took us 30 min to find and park.

I luckily went on a school trip so I did not have to pay. I saw the Space Exhibit. The visuals are very nice but that's pretty much it. It's good to take pictures. It's not really educational, more like a couple interesting facts. I feel like there was too many people in the room. That combined with kids running around playing and covering the animations of dynamic scenes. Overall, I would not pay $30 for this.

On vacation in ATL this week I visited the illuminarium. It was so much fun. I had never been there before so I was not sure what to expect The room is a 360 degree theater that shows one continuous movie on all 4 sides. We saw two movies Space and Wild. Space was about going to the moon and how space and the planets looked from a rocket ship. You felt as if you were there. The show was calming and relaxing and educational as well. The Wild took you on an African Safari. You could see all of the animals in their natural habitat. You could see and hear all the sounds of the wild. Just amazing as if you were there. Definitely worth it the price.

This place was over the moon cool! The front room was a full service bar food with wait staff. It also had a walk up bar if you wanted and a DJ with open floor for dancing or anything else. The back room was HUGE! We walked in after getting food and drink and it just kept going! It also had a bar. Very relaxed chill place to go. This place was 21+ only

This was an amazing experience. As a grandparent, it was more than magical and nostalgic! It was an opportunity for my adult children, my husband and I to relive our childhood with our children and grandchildren. Well worth the price and memories we shared together. I especially loved the extras:,Santa, letters, and the Elf station!

We came for the mother's day brunch. They didn't have valet. Illuminarium said they did, but the valet guys said it was only offered for two urban licks. We kept having to drive around in circles before a spot opened up. The food was not good. The eggs were gross, not sure if they were powder eggs, but it tasted off. I guess if you are going to go, I would do it without the food.

I saw the space viewing. You enter two different rooms and are submerged in the pictures/movie. You go at your own pace observing things. It was okay for a one time experience but I would not go to the same viewing twice. Luckily it was not too crowded when I went (room is not that big). There were some kids running around and jumping on the seats.

This place is awesome!! everyone should visit at least once. it is very immersive, the all around screen is beautiful. Even the floor rumbles when elephants walk. Animal foot 🐾 were displayed on the floor as you walk as if you are the animal. Very cool place for children, and educational! The ticket price might be much for some but once you experienced it it's all worth it.

This was a magical visit for their Winter Wonderland exhibition! Pam was incredibly courteous and helpful. We took advantage of the hot chocolate station before you enter the big hall, and Tyler & Amber working the hot chocolate were absolute pleasures and great with the kids. Inside the exhibit, we experienced a sensorial delight and loved the coloring book station and the Santa letter station. Elfie Selfies were so cute as well! Can't wait to see what else they have in store for future events!

We were here for our corporate event, and it was a great time. Staff was friendly and helpful, service was on point and we waited maybe 10 mins to get in which is understandable with the head count we had (300+). Wasn’t expecting much but the projections on the walls are really a unique experience in addition to the entertainment provided.

This was an incredible experience, you walk in and you're instantly transported to another land! The scenes play out for about an hour, and then it loops. Minus one star for the loop, I feel like this should be more like a show that doesn't repeat. It was also VERY COLD inside but if you grab a drink the liquor blanket will keep you warm

This is a must-do experience. When we turned the corner to enter the 1st room, we were amazed. The entry room sets the tone for an awe inspiring adventure. The floor to ceiling display envelopes you and the music has you moving like floating with the scenes. As a Travel business owner I am able to share with my clients for a pleasurable experience.

This is a spectacular experience and well worth the price for us. My toddler had a good time dancing to the holiday themed music and the chocolate drink makes for an additional compliment. It is not a place to hurry through and it is not action oriented. Just serene, but I will say a one time experience is all I need. Oh and they have an elf photo station take a picture as an elf
