The
church
is
very
beautiful,
and
the
service
is
a
pretty
standard,
but
nice,
service
that
you'd
expect
in
a
liturgical
church.
I
went
a
few
times
last
year
for
Holy
Week.
I
was
raised
Catholic,
not
Presbyterian,
but
was
looking
for
a
diverse,
liberally-minded
liturgical
church.
I
liked
how
they
have
a
ministry
for
the
unhoused,
so
I
decided
to
try
them
out.
Although
I
did
find
the
service
meaningful
and
familiar,
there
doesn't
seem
to
be
a
"welcome
wagon."
Nobody
greeted
me
until
I
was
on
the
elevator
headed
back
to
the
parking
lot.
There
isn't
any
kind
of
social
hour
after
service,
though
there
was
one
before
the
ecumenical
Palm
Sunday
procession.
People
were
clustered
with
family
or
other
folks
they
knew,
though.
So
I
was
alone
in
a
crowd
of
people.
Also,
during
Lent,
a
lot
of
the
events
were
at
people's
homes,
and
it
appeared
you
had
to
be
a
member
to
be
able
to
go.
So
I
wasn't
sure
how
I,
as
a
visitor,
could
begin
to
enter
into
the
social
life
of
the
church.
Perhaps
there's
a
way,
but
again,
no
"welcome
wagon"
to
help
direct
me.
It
also
wasn't
as
diverse
as
it
looked
in
photos
I
saw
online.
If
you're
downtown
and
looking
for
a
pretty,
mainline
liberal
Protestant
church
to
attend
one
Sunday,
it's
worth
checking
out,
but
Central
didn't
meet
my
needs.
