If I am honest, I was very skeptical to get any type of surgery in Indonesia. But with Covid restrictions on traveling and having a new born baby, I had no options but to proceed with my back surgery in bali. I found Dr. Wisnu and read reviews. I did my research and met with him. He was very kind, very competent and as well, his training and studies were very impressive. My mother in law is an orthopedic surgeon in Germany. She reviewed all that he suggested for surgery and said that he is 100% right and would recommend exactly as he said. Again, to be honest, I was very nervous, but my foot was completely numb for months and did not want permanent nerve damage. So we proceeded with the surgery. Laminectomy and Discectomy on L5 S1. I can’t say enough how well Dr. Wisnu did. After a week, all numbness was completely gone and all pressure on my nerve was gone. That was almost 4 weeks ago. I am still healing and getting back to whilst life, but I can honestly recommend him as a very good surgeon. He had a CT scan done after the surgery. I had two surgeons review the work. One in Germany and one from the states. Both said the work looks perfect and is exactly how they would have preformed the surgery. So I am here just to tell you, coming from someone absolutely terrified to get surgery outside of the states, that I can vouch for Dr. Wisnu. I’m truly grateful to have found him. I was completely bed ridden for months and I have 4 Kids! He definitely made a life changing surgery for me and it has been reviewed by international doctors and approved as quality work! Thank you Doctor! Really appreciate your work and kindness 🙏🙏🙏

A month ago, i accidentally found out that i have a huge tumor on my brain through MRI scan. I was scared and shock, and one of the doctor that i met before push me to undergo a surgery procedure just 2 days after i find out. Since this is gonna be a big decision (and at the top of my mind, i think that this might be a life or death situation) i’m trying to find some other opinions and asking around for recommendation, and most of them saying that Dr. Wisnu is one of the best in Bali, and also it was like my fate to meet Dr. Wisnu, since he was also my highschool friend :D Dr. Wisnu doing everything by the book, the interaction feels so genuine, calming, and he is also so caring. He carefully explain about the scan result, and what is the next step that i have to take before going into a surgery. After undergo the MRI scan with contrast (my previous scan was not conclusive due to the focus was on my TMJ not brain and not using contrast), we discuss the plan for the craniotomy. Since the size of the tumor is huge (i was diagnosed with meningioma with almost as huge as golf ball on my left oppicital), the only safe options is to undergo the surgery procedure to remove the mass. We have a very long talk, not only about the surgery, but also what to expect after the surgery, the quality of life and also the lifestyle that i may have to adjust afterwards. This is what make me feel that Dr. Wisnu is the absolute best choice to do the job. The surgery was successfull, and i woke up 1 or 2 hours after the surgery ends on the ICU. Later early in the morning around 7am, (the surgery ended at 11:30pm ish) Dr. Wisnu already doing his round at the ICU and met me, we talk for a while that morning, about what to expect while i’m on recovery in the hospital. 3 Days later, i already able to walk and check myself out of the hospital, and today, three weeks after the surgery, everything is already back to normal, and it feels great! I can’t thank Dr. Wisnu enough for all the support that he gave to me through everything! Thanks doc! TLDR; So this may sound subjective, but hell, all review should be subjective. If you are looking to undergo a surgery procedure (neuro), Dr. Wisnu is the right choice (at least for me, and it’s already proven that he was), he is caring, calming, patience, and willing to walk with you through all the procedure. It is rare to find this kind of doctor nowadays. Before you are taking decision *and i hope you are taking the right one, i advice you to do the same as i do and meet him, even if it is for your second opinion. This might be the decision that will save your life.

I had back pain for almost 5 years now, went to another specialist in another hospital but not been much improvement until I went to Siloam Hospitals Denpasar and met the doctor's team there and dr. Wisnu. He diagnosed me with TB Bone, which cracked my back (because it is already 5 years). After long treatment, my back is in less pain for almost 90% right now. He and the team really helpful and care about my condition. Especially dr. Wisnu is really humble, and energic, and breaks any stigma that surgery or consult about surgery is negative. For anyone that has any pain or something wrong with their body, please go to your doctor to get medical treatment ASAP. Maybe you will see dr. Wisnu or someone like him that can help you with.

I had a very good experience with Dr. Wisnu during my time as his patient. He was able to successfully operate on me on a very short notice which is outstanding given the difficulty of the surgery (internal bleeding in my head resulting in brain pushed off center). He answered all of my questions in great detail helping me understand my condition to the fullest extent. Although he is young which may raise some red flags for most as it means he may lack experience, take it from my case where he was successful in performing a serious surgery with under a days notice. This shows that he is quick thinking, calm and collected. I highly recommend Dr. Wisnu.

I recently had the opportunity to be under the care of Dr. Wisnu, and I cannot express my gratitude and admiration enough for the exceptional care and expertise I received. In my time of need, Dr. Wisnu proved to be an absolute life-saver. I was diagnosed with a cavernoma, a condition that required delicate and precise surgery. From the moment I met Dr. Wisnu, I was immediately put at ease by his warm and compassionate demeanor. He took the time to listen attentively to my concerns, thoroughly explaining the procedure and answering all my questions in a way that was easy to understand. The surgery itself lasted for four hours, and during that time, Dr. Wisnu showcased his incredible skill and expertise. His steady hands and meticulous attention to detail were truly awe-inspiring. I felt safe and confident in his capable hands, knowing that I was in the presence of a true master of his craft. What struck me most about Dr. Wisnu was his genuine care and concern for my well-being. He regularly checked in on me before and after the surgery, providing reassurance and support throughout the entire process. His dedication to his patients is evident in the way he goes above and beyond to ensure both physical and emotional comfort. Thanks to Dr. Wisnu's exceptional surgical skills, my life has been forever changed for the better. Not only did he successfully remove the cavernoma, but he also ensured that the recovery process was as smooth as possible. His comprehensive post-operative care plan, combined with his continuous monitoring and adjustments, greatly contributed to my speedy recovery. Beyond his technical expertise, Dr. Wisnu possesses a rare ability to instill hope and optimism in his patients. He has a genuine passion for what he does, and it shines through in every interaction. His positive attitude and unwavering commitment to patient care have left an indelible mark on me. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Wisnu to anyone in need of neurosurgical care. His professionalism, expertise, and compassion make him an exceptional healthcare provider. Dr. Wisnu is not just a surgeon but a true hero in the field of neurosurgery. My deepest gratitude goes out to him for giving me a second chance at life. Thank you, Dr. Wisnu, for your exceptional care, skill, and unwavering dedication. You are truly amazing.

Dr Wisnu performed a 5 level cervical surgery on my neck 2 weeks ago and I’m already pain free and healing faster than I imagined I would. This was a very serious surgery which involved removing bone growths…opening the nerve canal…releasing trapped nerves and blood vessels…and applying titanium screws to insure cervical stability going forward. As an American, many people told me not to have the surgery in Bali. They said go to Singapore for something so serious. However, when I met Dr Wisnu, had all the scans done, and listened to his surgical plan, I felt confident he was the right surgeon for the job…and I’m very thankful he was willing to take on my case…which wasn’t an easy one. After the surgery I was also very pleased with the care I received not only from Dr. Wisnu’s daily visits and attention, but by the entire team of nurses and administrators at Siloam Hospital. As an American, I’ve received care at some of the best hospitals in NY, LA, even Paris and other world class cities. I believe the care and standards at Siloam Kuta exceeded all of them. Dr Wisnu gained my respect as well as my trust and I would recommend him to anyone who needs neurosurgery. The man is a true pro…and he genuinely puts his patients first.

Head surgery June 12, 2021 by doctor Dewa Wisnu. We are very grateful to met a doctor who is very intelligent, sincere and kind. He clearly explained the diagnosis, risks, and solutions related to my husband's illness. Then, we decided that he had to surgery for my husband, without any doubt. Before and after the surgery, he really cared about his patients, always answered our questions, and gave good advice regarding my husband's recovery process. Today is the 15th day, after head surgery, my husband has so far been able to laugh, playing games, going for walks (still need supervision assistance), opening the computer to review work (although he still can't sit for long), I'm optimistic that my husband will recover quickly as always. I will update this review once my husband's condition returns to normal. 😇 Once again, thank you doctor wisnu, best wishes for the doctor, I wish him more success, and keep up the spirit of working to help many people🙏 hearing all the doctor's explanations really gives positive energy . To all the patients, Doc Wisnu, or people who are experiencing the same thing, do not always delay your schedule, and do what Doc Wisnu suggests so that you can recover soon and gather in love with your beloved family from: Gekdian & Gungade.

I would like to say thank you so much to dr Wisnu for removing a tumor named Cavernoma on my left brain. I am a blessed person that ever been treat by dr. Wisnu in Bali. It was horrible when I tried to remember when I got collapsed when playing tennis, got a sudden shock epilepsy on my right hand. It was my first time got that kind of incident and everyone thinks that I am got something like an mysterious syndrome. I was collapse in the city named Cilegon and there were no my family around, the day after that my family picking me up and bring me to Bali. At the first time I met Prof. Purwa a famous neurologist in Bali, and he suggest me to dr. Kumaratini. Those two person was also very kind to me and thank you for that. Dr. Kumaratini suggest me to did MRI and DSA to confirming the tumor, after it is confirmed, she going to dr Wisnu to recommending a surgery. Honestly I am a very skeptics person with neuro surgery , and afraid with the impact. So I did a consultation first with dr Wisnu, and he was very clear to explain how will the surgery running and what will the impact, that makes me comfort and feel safe. So here I am, the surgery was going smooth and finally the tumor already gone (hopefully never come back again) 🙈. Thank you for dr Wisnu and all the team, dr Kumaratini, and Prof dr. Purwa. All of doctor above was very professional and helpful and I suggest for everyone who have problem with neuro, better to consult with them before it late. A long paragraphs actually, but hopefully can give a clear explanation 😅🙏🏻

I am an Australian and had a fall and heavy hit to the head which caused an epidural haematoma( brain bleeding). After initially thinking it will mend itself the pumping headaches worsened over the next few days. After seeing Dr Wisnu due to that and being told it requires immediate surgery or possible death in a few days i felt very comfortable in his presence so decided to go ahead with Dr Wisnu. I am now home and near normal again, this man is an angel and saved my life. My gratitude to him cannot be expressed in words. To all the staff at Siloam who were so lovely from Drs,nurses, cooks, cleaners, reception. I thank you all. As a sceptical foreigner prior to this in my experience i am no longer sceptical on any matter neurological Dr Wisnu is a genius and also spoke at the G20. That says a lot in my opinion. In regards to costs it was just over 50% of the quote given so thats further proof of the nature of this man and the hospital. I could not praise them all enough. My family and I thank you Dr Wisnu and all at Siloam. 🙏🏻👍👏🏻😇

It was such a blessing to meet Dr. Wisnu. He is someone I know from a friend in the Spina Bifida Indonesia Community. I flew from Jakarta to Bali in early November 2023 merely to get a second opinion on my issue, but I ended up undergoing surgery, for which I am incredibly grateful. I was given a diagnosis of Tethered Cord Syndrome (TCS) and Spina Bifida Lipomyelocele in 2017. At the time, I was somewhat concerned about the extent of my Spina Bifida lipoma. I once woke up with my right hand temporarily paralyzed after sleeping in an almost supine position. My hand was immobile for five to ten minutes. My left leg also frequently experienced numbness, occasionally coupled with severe pain. In addition, my neck and shoulder stiffened constantly. However, the doctor who I went to at the time informed me that it was unrelated to my spina bifida and TCS. Once the period of development had ended, the TCS could not worsen further in adulthood. He therefore disregarded my wish to have the lipoma reduced in size. He advised against having the procedure. In contrast to my previous doctor, Dr. Wisnu concluded that my TCS was the cause of all of my symptoms. Adult-onset TCS, he explained, is a possibility for the condition to worsen as an adult. Upon attempting to obtain a recent MRI, the worsening symptoms were validated. I had a brief seizure and lost consciousness when the lipoma pressed up against the hard surface of the MRI bed. But those days are now in the past. Following my December 2023 surgery, I feel like a whole new person. Under Dr. Wisnu's care, my body has been getting better ever since the treatment. All the upper-body symptoms are gone. Now, sleeping face-up is something I will never have to worry about. Also, my legs are getting stronger. I can move it more easily than I could previously. In the end, I wish more doctors had the same values as Dr. Wisnu. The finest things about him are his thorough assessment, ample time to go over each stage of the surgery with the patient, and constant follow-up. May God continue to keep you well and bless you, Doc.

So Alhamdulillaah today my treatment with dr. Wisnu is completed. He is the best neurosurgeon I have ever met so far. Not only smart and very thorough with his patient's cases. However, he is also very communicative with his patients, soooo humble. It felt like my struggle back and forth from Lombok to Bali was not in vain. Thank you so much doc, for all you've done on me and your others patients. My family and I, will never forget about your kindness doc. May God always protect you wherever you are doc. Keep your spirit up doc. I hope the knowledge that you have can help more people. Ganbatte!🔥
