We travelled here as a couple & booked for 5 days on the basis that this was a 5* resort & the images provided in the listing. This resort was anything bud. Black mould was visible in every corner of the room, the smell of mould a damp was sickening, the curtains displayed a buildup of black mould that festered for what I would imagine was years, the paint flakes off the walls. The bedsheets were stained, the towels were stained. The doors onto the balcony did not lock, the showers were freezing & toilet did not flush. When I took photos of said issues I presented to reception to confront staff about this & ask if this was acceptable for 5 star resort I was met with no response. After some time I was offered a room change, I agreed to view the room which the resort had time to prepare, I was appalled to find this room displayed the same issues I they made no efforts to address the issues at hand. I left for my evening meal, contacted Agoda RE: the above, provided photographic evidence & requested the contact the property to cancel booking request a partial refund so we could change our accommodation & holiday plans as these conditions were simply inhuman & uninhabitable. The resort refused to cooperate! I returned from my evening meal & attended reception to try & come to some sort of an agreement, I was offered a room change for a second time & escorted to a 3rd room for viewing. Once again this room displayed the same issues to a lesser extent, however the conditions were still unacceptable. This has been the most dreadful hotel experience of my existence & all I can say is this particular settings needs investigation as the 5* listing can & must be demoted on its current condition. This is 3* accommodation at best, & in the court of public opinion it would absolutely fail to satisfy that. Avoid at all costs.

This is a nice hotel but definitely not 5 stars. The hotel is run down and does not match the photos. We were questioned about our room number and wether we stayed in the hotel every 5 minutes we spent in the beach club and it made us feel like we were not welcome. We gave a formal complaint and the manager was very friendly and understanding. I wish them good luck and hopefully it will be a much nicer hotel when the renovations are done, and that the staff are trained properly.

The pool area and beach are great. The lobby area is also well maintained. Unfortunately, the remainder of the hotel is old. Plenty of renovation going on and still needs to happen to update and fix the hotel. The room is large, but dated. AC fan is noisy. Bath faucet is dripping water. Sofa and chair need to be refreshed. Floor is rather dingy. Wood furniture still looks quite good though. So it's a mixed experience all together.

It said 5 stars, but it feels like 3.. or even worse. Rooms are dirty, hotel has a bad vibe, very dirty and unclean.. they charged as 5 stars hotel.. there is bathtub but you wont dare to touch it… We had private pool in our room, but we werent spending a single minute touching the water… not worth, i hope they renovate this hotel. But, mostly staff were really friendly and helpful

We are currently staying here and whilst the images online are definitely outdated the resort itself is still fine. Not 5 stars, but our room was clean and in working order and the staff are phenomenal. If you set your expectations to 3 stars, and remember the price you paid (compared to other resorts!), you will have an enjoyable stay. Head right on the beach, walk about 100metres and turn right up the street next to Finns and you will find some great Warungs, shops and amazing people who are so desperate for life to return to normal.

Definitely not a 5 star hotel. 3 star with 5 star pricing. Pros: -Spacious rooms. -Great location in terms of it being beach front. - Complimentary shuttle to main street. - Staff are friendly Cons: -Very very run down -Showers are terrible - Random work being done in the hallway but then not cleaned up properly. -Loud events pumping music outside by the pool at 9am when your trying to relax and enjoy breakfast. - ATM in lobby only accepts Indonesian cards. - If you opt for breakfast to be included you are limited to 1 coffee per person. - Lots of mould and water damage to building.

You pay for the location and the pool, as the rooms aren't great, spacious but old. The location is great, close enough walk to things, right on the beach and walking distance to Finn's (via the beach) and Cafe Del Mar. The people at the front didn't seem as friendly or as accomodating as the breakfast staff which were always so nice and helpful! They have great breakfast options too!

I chose this place because I wanted to stay in a hotel instead of a bungalow this time. I am a frequent Bali visitor. I am currently staying here and the location of the hotel and staff are great with surprisingly spacious room. It’s just that this place has not been maintained at all and the owner seems to have stopped managing the place. The place is drastically different from the photos of the hotel I saw before coming here. There are not enough beach towels in the swimming pool to go around when there are only 8-9 guests using the pool. We had to wait for the towels only to find a recent dirty stain on them and had to return it twice. Swimming pool tiles have not been fixed. Breakfast music either must change or don’t play at all. The water fountain for the guests to wash the feet from the beach is out of order so people just jump into the pool with sands on their feet which results in dirty swimming pool (I can’t see the bottom of the swimming pool which I think you usually can see if the pool is clean).

The hotel is fine and the room are okay. Its clean well and its very spacious. The staff keep asking me to pay for things I havent order at the pool. The main restaurant was not open before christmas because they were renovating it. But they never said on the website or when reserving that it was going to be closed. Sometimes the restaurant was super slow. We had to wait 1h30 for a simple club sandwich. We got a case of diarrhea when eating at the restaurant. All of my family got sick for 2 days. Dont get me wrong the staff are nice people they do what they can, but there is something in term of management that is unfinished. Also a lot of people dont like to have music H24 around the pool and why do you put it that loud??? Just ask people you will see

It was one of the most amazing stays in bali. The location was perfect. All the best beach side clubs and nice restaurants at walking distance. Ocean view from the room was mind blowing. Special thanks to Ms Fitri, who welcomed me at the reception while I checked in. She was very kind and generous and helpful and always looked after guest and made sure my stay was memorable from the time I checked in till I checked out. Thank you LV8 , I will be back soon :)

Stayed here for 5 nights in total. Had we only stayed 2 nights, this review would have been far more damning, but it did grow on me… Good: location, 2 bedroom apartment is very spacious, nice large balcony, nice pool area, shuttle service will take you anywhere within 1km, some very friendly staff. Issues: hotel feels rundown in places, room and restaurant feels a bit grubby, partial sea view includes a lot of waste land, poor quality pillows, slow breakfast service, some unfriendly staff in the restaurant, gym smelt smoky every time I went, shuttle service does not run between 10am - 6pm, construction noise can be heard in room, very few and slow lifts.

We went to the beach club at lunch time with a baby. No towels, one after 30 mins then another later. The food was good but the service was terrible. A lot of staff but not attentive at all. We went to the bar to order, plates and glasses left when finished. Staff stood around talking, very poor. And service charge was added to the bill but we didn’t get any service.

The hotel is a bit tired and definitely in need of an update or refresh in a number of areas. We had a large 2 bedroom apartment that was spacious but only had a small bar fridge when there was loads of space for a proper kitchen.

Amazing beach and pool… the rest is really just not great. Service is super weird. Front desk forgets things constantly. Laundry was an ordeal. They had no idea how to charge my credit card and kept using the debit function. The rooms are old and permanently damp. It’s not cheap either… over $100/ night. Hotel looks pretty rundown overall. There must be better options out there to try next time I’m in Bali.

I can say that this is a good hotel with great scenery behind it. Along the corridor, you can see many painting pictures. The food here is good and healthy. But something disturbed me was the services (especially for the receptionist) need some improvement to treat the guests. Then, some of the doors need to be maintained due to noise & the hinges not smoothly rotated. The swimming pool was very good, you can also jump directly into the beach...

While having breakfast we were approached by one of the hotel manager ( BOD ) by the name of Iwan from lv8 canggu for a review about the hotel facilities and services. Im really impressed by how the way we been treated. Iwan is very honest cum friendly and also a very good manager. Therefore I would like to thanks to all the staff here especially Iwan for making my morning and days happy 😊😊😊 (5 big stars for Iwan with his sincerity and tremendous service through out my stays here 👍👍👍👍👍

I was my 🎂 🥳 birthday on the check-in day, and the front desk staff Fitri was extremely friendly and personal. Once she knew it was my birthday, she immediately ran over to greet me and she even sent up a cake to sing me happy birthday. I was extremely surprised. Thank you for making me feel very special and making my stay comfortable!

Our room was huge, so so much room and our own pool! Ok it is being renovated and some detailing is needed to bring it back to 4* glory, but with new pillows!? The air-cond was quiet, everything was cleaned. But the POOL! it was at least 75 metres long and 10 metres wide infinity edge with crystal clear water onto the beach!! Note to management: your pool staff were good 2 days out of 6, but 4 days of needing to walk to the bar to order a drink or food is not good enough. One girl asked me to go to the bar to sign for my drink, that's her job! Breakfast staff were great, pool staff left a bad impression!

Stayed here for 4 nights with my partner. We enjoyed our stay here and location was great.. definitely easy to get around if you have a scooter or it’s very easy to use gojek. Friendly staff and the food servings for breakfast definitely made me happy - lots of choice too! Coffee was great too! Clean and spacious rooms!

They do have a good view, but for a 5-star hotel in Bali, it does give off the impression of being an older establishment with low maintenance. However, I must say that I really enjoy the cozy vibes here. Despite the hotel's appearance, it manages to create a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Most of the resort felt from 1980s, pretty old facilities. Hotel seemed to be under maintenance, breakfast wasn't as per a 4 star hotel. Best thing was the infinity pool and the beach. Great place for surfers. Beach club was average. I was expecting more for the amount I had paid for staying in the hotel which would have been the same amount for a 5star property like Marriott etc. Overall not so good an experience with this.

We had an amazing stay at LV8 - we spent 5 nights there with our 15 month old. The room we stayed in was lovely and they provided a cot for our little one to sleep in. The included breakfast each morning was delicious, we tried most things on the menu over our stay. Can’t fault the staff, they were so friendly and accommodating and they days we spent by the pool playing, relaxing and enjoying drinks and food was also lovely. The place does need a lick of paint here and there and some more up keeping ( which I think they are working on ) but other then that it was totally fine.

Room is spacious and big. But the sofa in the living room is stink. Either they did not air dry properly or never wash it. Overall the location is great too. Direct access to beach! Which is great for kids!

Breakfast is great and the beach club is cool. The only issue I have is that I can’t sleep properly here because there’s a bunch of neighborhoods dogs barking since early morning and furniture dragging upstairs. Needs window soundproofing at least. Not a 5 star hotel.

The pool concept overlooking the ocean is beautiful, especially in sunset time. Located by the beach, the hotel is exclusive and more like private resort area. The food and drink is so soo and nothing special. The hospitality could be improved

Great service & friendly stuff + the pool next to the beach made our stay great and pleasant. The hotel is not new and doesn’t look like 5 star but for the price $100 AUD per night with breakfast included it’s definitely worth the money. The gym is super old and some weights are missing

Look, if you were expecting a 3 star hotel then you probably wouldn’t be disappointed! This hotel is absolutely NOT up to 5 star rating. The location on the beach is beautiful. But if you, like us, want to walk to local shops, restaurants, mini marts. Then this is not for you. It’s location is isolated and the roads are extremely small and unsafe! There are NO local restaurants, unless you go down the beach a bit and the options are scarce. The room was nice. Very outdated, lacking the 5 star quality and inclusions you would expect, eg. only one small rubbish bin , stained cups, no bottle opener, no teaspoons, cheap soaps, rusted air conditioning units on wall, I had to throw some of the pillows out as they were stained. The fridge/freezer part was so iced over my husband unplugged it and put it in the shower to defrost it. The pool area was lovely although very outdated (again FAR from a 5 star rating! We arrived and noticed you could see the bottom of the pool. It progressively got worse and 3 days after we arrived they closed the pool for treatment as it looked like a swamp!! Should have noticed this much sooner. We did not swim the entire 5 night stay! The pool furniture was stained, broken and cigarette burnt! Breakfast was ok! The best thing about our stay was our ocean view! Not the hotel itself. We won’t be back!

This is not a 5 star hotel as advertised. It’s big and everything looks luxurious from afar. We stayed at a 3 star hotel in Kuta for one day before our 11pm fly out and found this to be better value for money. I would not pay more than $50 a night to stay at the Hotel.

Stayed and enjoyed it. I didn't find any reason to point out anything as a miss. All staff are friendly and stive to keep place clean and help guests as much as they can. These folks are giving it everything to come back to normalcy after pandemic shutdown. All suites are big enough to accommodate 4 adults or family of 4 easily.

Price is far too high compare with the quality, facilities and services that we got. Rooms are smelly, water clog in drainage, towels are dirty, and so many negative comments that does not worth for the cost we've paid. With same price better get other hotel with much higher quality and services. Does not worth and represent to get 5 star resort with the quality and facilities equal or lower than 3 star resort. Get other hotel instead of choosing this one
