Sekumpul waterfall view point

Tourist attraction Scenic spot

😠 I put a bad rating because of the local mafia. their "approach to work" spoiled the whole impression of these magnificent waterfalls. before the trip, I was interested in the cost of tickets and other things, they wrote about the usual prices, as for all the waterfalls in Bali. What was our surprise... People often mention waterfall, guide, waterfalls, view, local, point,

I put a bad rating because of the local mafia. their "approach to work" spoiled the whole impression of these magnificent waterfalls. before the trip, I was interested in the cost of tickets and other things, they wrote about the usual prices, as for all the waterfalls in Bali. What was our surprise when the driver took us to a group of such "guides" who offered us three tariffs for visiting the waterfalls. the cheapest is 300,000 rupees per person. it’s not cheap, but for that kind of money there wasn’t even a normal toilet like at other waterfalls. There were two of us, we decided not to take risks and agree to these conditions. when I asked a local why we couldn't go through on our own, his tone of voice and look changed dramatically. as a result, a trip to the waterfalls with a driver cost us much more than a day with a guide on Nusa Penida. We got a guide who spoke almost no English, he did not understand our questions, we asked three times where we can change in front of the waterfall, the "guide" walked past the changing rooms and we had to change right next to the Fiji waterfall. other guides sat nearby and followed the process with ardent interest. The "guide" did not understand how to take a picture of us. in order not to get upset, it’s easier not to even review our joint photos from there with my husband. We were very disappointed with this trip. I repeat that the place is wonderful, but if you decide to go, be prepared for such conditions. if I knew about it in advance (as I read the reviews about climbing Batur), then we would not go, so as not to contribute to the prosperity of such local mafias.

Beautiful view point for 20.000 IDR. The path is a bit slippery, so be careful. Be aware of scam: there are options of 150.000 IDR and 250.000 IDR for a short and long waterfall walk with guide, but they won’t tell you that you can go to a viewpoint for 20.000 IDR.

More and more scammers. They charge 400 000idr for 5 hour taxy drive. In here you pay 200 000 to walk in nature.

There are idiots at the entrance, extorting 10 dollars per person for entry. Tourists feed this with tacit consent.

Great view of Sekumpul & Fiji falls as you first start walking down to get closer. My main post is on Sekumpul Waterfalls page.

DON'T PAY FOR A GUIDE! You're supporting a local mafia, by doing this. Just pay for the view (2x 20.000, first for Sekumpul, second for Fiji), which already is the entrance ticket, and go in, ignore these rip-off-guys who tell that you wouldn't be allowed to enter - it's a scam. They want to sell you massively overpriced guides for a very easy to walk path. The waterfalls are really beautiful and going there is a very nice little hike! Hopefully government turns off that rip-off local mafia, soon.

There is a lot of spots in google maps but THIS IS the one. Here is spot where to see the waterfall. Entrance and tickets is not here, it is up the hill. You will be asked for 150 or 250k for the tour to the waterfalls BUT if you just want to go to the view point just say that and give only 20k. And then go to the viewpoint. If you change your mind at the view point you can go down and the price is 150k but you can say that you dont want a guide. View is amazing here. We stay in Bali for 60days but if I had only 10days I just recommend to pay and go down the path.

This place is heaven. It is very far from Denpasar, but it is worth going so far. I had enjoyed alot. Becareful with guides, they ask for hefty 2,50,000 to 4,00,000 Indonesian rupiya. Simply say I came earlier here or my friend already came and he gave very less around 1,50,000. But it is safe to have them as the route is tricky and hard to find.

Really recommended! Don't let yourself be scared off! We were very skeptical based on the reviews and didn't actually want to go. But our villa hosts recommended it. We did the big hike. 250,000 per person sounded a lot at the beginning. Action is hopeless. At first we were really very skeptical. We are a group of 4 adults and a 12 month old child. The guide was wonderful. On the way he told us a lot about the area and plants. He always took really great photos of us at the viewing points. He brought water for us, let us try free fruit at stands & he organized bananas for the baby just like that. The waterfalls are wonderful! ❤️ Nature was a dream & when we were there in the morning, we almost always had the waterfalls to ourselves. Without the guide I wouldn't have wanted to do the hike. He helped, explained and always showed the best ways. On the way from one waterfall to the other there is a kiosk where we ate fruit at good prices. There would also have been drinks, cookies & chips. Of course a little more expensive than in the supermarket, but justified. I don't want to drag this down there :) The three waterfalls and the path between them were a dream! I can really recommend the tour, but I also have to say that no guide that came to meet us was as warm, committed and great as our guide. Info: after the 300 steps from the waterfall to civilization, there are scooters that will take you up for 20,000. This really saves time and energy :) We would really come back! But I can't imagine it in high season. But I also find everything here just overcrowded :)

Highlight of Bali. Worth the drive if you are an explorer. The people are fantastic.

If you don't want to be ripped off, you have 2 options here: 1- You drive to the main entrance of the waterfall (sekumpul waterfall view point) and you pay 150k to go with a guide, by the way you don't need one at all. 2- you stay in sekumpul accommodation its 300m to the waterfall for one night 200k or less and you walk yourself 10 minutes to the waterfall and only pay 30k to enter as they will give you ID. That's what we do and I think it's the best choice to enjoy yourself the waterfalls around the area and to help local people instead of scammers.

This is the official site. Another one with the same name appeared on google maps but it was not the official one and they tried to stop us I guess to try to charge us the outrageous prices I have read in other comments. One trick we used that worked for us was to say we were going to a Jungle Homestay, not a waterfall; They will let you pass quietly and follow the narrow road which seems to be for people but you can easily go by motorbike, you will arrive at the official site (this is where I wrote a comment) where you can buy a ticket for RP20,000 ( this price is only to see the waterfall, if you want to take a shower the price is IDR 125,000) Attached is a photo of the official parking lot that must be visited

I don't recommend it!!!! When approaching the waterfall itself, there is a point (not an official payment point) where there are locals who began to grab hands, push and behave very aggressively, demanding to pay 250,000 per person. As a result, the impression was spoiled and there was no desire to go to the waterfall itself. I really don't recommend it.
