The setting is idyllic, quiet and so lush. Rooms are spotless and very comfortable for sleeping, and chilling. Facilities cater to whatever you want; you can have your space or sit in the reception area and easily start a chat. I loved the pool. The Yoga Shala is amazing. Locals come here to practice and it's no wonder. The teachers are expert and very welcoming to any level. There is so much variety offered for classes. I'll be back for sure.

Such a wonderful stay at Ubuntu. Hospitality and community is beautiful, feels like home away from home! You can cook yourself in the kitchen, order Gojek or head out to eat with lots of nearby restaurants. Beach is less then 10 minute scooter ride. All yoga classes included was amazing and I really enjoyed them. Highly recommend and can’t wait to get back x

Ubuntu is a quiet eco-yoga center in the middle of Canggu. I had a wonderful six weeks here. The yoga teachers are amazing, and the staff is very friendly. The property is taken good care of, and the bungalows are clean and tidy. Tari, the manager of Ubuntu will welcome you with a beautiful smile and give you all the information you need. She is the heart and soul of this magical place. I recommend this place with all my heart and I’m definitely going back.

My time at Ubuntu felt like a comforting hug. I spent a week here and couldn’t recommend it more highly. The rooms are of top quality, service of staff and Andrea fantastic and the yoga authentic. This is a wonderful stay for Ashtanga practitioners plus anyone who is interested in the traditional yoga lineages. You have easy access to all the locations of Canguu yet can retreat here in quiet, away from the huddle and bustle. Andrea thank you again for my stay, I will be recommending your place to others when I return.

I spent a few days here in one of the bungalows. It was a beautiful and peaceful stay - quiet with nature sounds. The pool is refreshing and gets sun during the day to lounge around and read by the pool. I attended a breath work class, yin yoga class, led primary ashtanga and mysore class and loved every one of them. The shala is open and spacious with great views and lots of greenery around. Andrea is warm, welcoming and I really enjoyed her classes and style of teaching. She’s gentle and knew exactly the kind adjustment my body needed. Thank you all at Ubuntu! 🙏🏼

I had a great time at Ubuntu Bali! The rooms are clean and confortable and the property is away from the noise and traffic or thr major streets - and still close enough to enjoy the beautiful sunsets and cozy cafés downtown. I loved that there was a well equipped shared kitchen, which was also the place where to hang out with other guests of the coliving. I can also very much recommend the experienced ashtanga yoga teachers Andrea and Nikki and Catie for her workshops on breathwork, handstand, mobility, etc. If you need peace and quiet to dive into your yoga practice this place is for you!

I spent a lovely 2 weeks at Ubuntu attending a yoga intensive with Damien. I learnt so much from this workshop, it was more than I expected! Thank you Damien for your wonderful teachings and for bringing a joyfulness and lightness to some intense subjects. The location itself was beautiful and peaceful, with lots of love put into making the accommodation feel at home with an eco focus. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. Big thanks to Tari for being a wonderful host and friend. Thanks also to the other students at the shala, it was great sharing some yoga and life vibes with you! I'll be back for sure.

Wonderful nature yoga heaven place/ space. Love the name “ubuntu” as well. I’ve lived here a long time because it is such a perfect experience of Bali’s nature and close to the ocean cafes/ and places for other things. The classes are brilliant too .)

In the wilderness of Canggu, I was so lucky to find this Oasis of Peace called Ubuntu Bali. This place became my "spirit home" during my stay in Bali, not only because of its magical atmosphere but also thanks to the wonderful team who welcomed me warmly. In case you will decide to stay at Ubuntu Bali, I highly recommend to join the Yoga classes! If you want to take your Yoga practice to the next level, I recommend to book a private lesson with Andréa or Damien - this was a game changer for me as they were able to focus on my own practice and gave me advises & tips how to improve it - all in harmony with my body and flow.

Ubuntu is a calm oasis in busy canggu. We had the best time here at the start of our Bali trip and even came back to stay even longer at the end of our trip. Great offer in yoga-classes, beautiful clean accommodations and a deep and refreshing pool to hang out in during the day.

I practiced Ashtanga Yoga at Ubuntu for the last two months. My experience was fantastic in an unusual way; rather than finding: “An outstanding facility, with world-renowned yogis which will teach everything and beyond, including restaurants, bazaar and…”(or something along those common lines for Yoga studios in Bali :-) What I found was a beautiful and rare “Oasis”. Around noisy Canggu, its located in a peaceful and quiet location. The environmentally friendly physical buildings are immersed and surrounded by 360* of just nature (banana, bamboo, papaya trees…and rice paddies). I found a fulfilling social sharing and community with a pulsing pure-love flow (led by orchestra director Miss Tari)...An oasis for the senses & the soul. The masterful teacher and her team: always present and only playing their part when is in your service, never otherwise. Every time with a gentle nudge to where to look, never what to see. In that Yoga Oasis, I lived my very own Ashtanga experience. Which is 5 stars, dear Google :-)

A beautiful spot, and a very rare find in busy Canggu. A Peaceful haven removed just from the hectic vibes of the beach side. The bungalows are spacious and cosy. The surrounding gardens are lush. The shala is an amazing spot for practice with great teachers and a very sincere and heartfelt vibe from astute regular practitionners . The communal kitchen and lobby are everything you need, and a beautiful invitation to meet your fellow travellers. Did I mention the gorgeous swimming pool? And Tari who is the heart and soul of this place and makes everyone feel immediately at home.🙏 Can't wait to go back.

Loved staying at Ubuntu and will be back. Bungalows are cozy and comfortable, rustic yet chic! You are close enough to the action (if that’s what you are looking for) but nestled away in your own private hideaway where you can make yourself at home and revive and reflect in peace. The yoga teachers were welcoming and super experienced. Andrea was a perfect host. Many thanks to the Ubuntu team 🙏

If you're looking for fancy luxury maybe this is not the place to choose. But if you like really good yoga classes with fantastic teachers in a very warm and friendly atmosphere this is The place. I was travelling around in Bali and came back to ubuntu two Times. Planning a new trip now and hopefully im going to stay the whole vacation at ubuntu this time.

My stay in Ubuntu was excellent! I loved my hut that I stayed in during my trip; it was very cosy and well looked after, with staff coming in to clean it regularly, great outdoor bathroom, air con, and comfy bed. The staff and management team were all lovely and extremely helpful. The facilities were also great, with all the utilities needed for cooking, as well as free drinking water. The yoga teaching was also brilliant! The regular teachers (Andrea, Damien, Nikki, and Katie) were all lovely people and were very helpful in improving my practice. I was so happy staying here for the month, I wish I got to stay longer as I enjoyed it so much! Could not recommend Ubuntu more!

A friend recommended this place to me because I wanted to dive deeper into the world of ashtanga after my 200h vinyasa ytt. If you are familiar with ashtanga you know it’s quite difficult to just drop into a mysore class… :) I’m so happy I landed at ubuntu I couldn't have imagined a more beautiful place for this. There is so much love in the architecture I felt like home from the first moment I entered my bungalow. This place is just made to relax and feel the calmness yoga can bring to your life. Ubuntu offers 3 classes every day included in the price. I only practiced two hours of mysore every morning which already was a wonderful new experience for me. Andrea helped me so much with only small tips and her wonderful adjustments in this only 4 sessions. I cannot imagine my process if I would stay longer :) I am so grateful for this experience because now I know that ashtanga is the yoga style that suits me the most. I‘m super motivated to practice ashtanga at home and hope to visit this place maybe for a more intensive ashtanga training any time soon. Thank you Andrea & Team ❤️

If you are on any point of yoga journey, THIS IS THE PLACE to stay. Even if you are just looking for a peaceful place to relax and be in the nature, highly recommend this beautiful place. The balinese style eco yoga village made us feel like we were on Honey moon✨️💕🌿Very authentic and natural as well as the staffs and teachers. Chichi and Tari at the reception are very friendly, and they took care of us like a family. The energy in yoga shala was very magical, the well experienced teacher Damien's guide helped us unlock asanas we weren't able to do before. My partner who doesn't have much experience in Ashtanga could also enjoy every mysore session and other classes as well. We truly enjoyed talking with Damien after the class as we could hear deep knowledge and philosophy in flow in our conversations. It was amazing experience, thank you so much ubuntu family🙏❤️ see you again soon!

😠 This place may look vibrant because it is massive in size, but it’s the worst gym I’ve ever been to (I’ve been to over a hundred globally). I’ve been Crossfitting and lifting weights for years, and I’ve never been injured until I joined this gym. My injury is not by my own doing; I was injured becau...
