Beautiful little peninsula temple directly next to Tanah Lot. It has a great atmosphere and the shoreline is gorgeous viewed from the peninsula itself. Like most other temples here you cannot enter it, but it’s a nice part of a larger coastal trip. One of the prettiest temples on this shoreline for certain.

On its own rock peninsula with a hole through the rock - amazing photos when the waves break and spray. You cant go into the temple but only halfway along the entrance "bridge". Good enough for lovely views and pics.

Spacious parking area, well organized souvenir shops, easy to navigate layout. You pay IDR 5K parking, park your ride, and proceed to purchase an entrance ticket at the ticketing counter (IDR 30K for local). From there you need to walk approximately 7mins to reach the gate to Tanah Lot temple and from this gate, you walk another 5mins to reach this temple. Batu Bolong (hollowed stone) sits on a natural arch on the eastern end of Tanah Lot temple. Its size is actually closer to a shrine and visitors can only snap pictures from a distance away.

I reviewed this alongside the Tanah Lot Temple because they are in such close proximity to one another. This temple is still under construction with nothing much to see. More can be seen from the walkway separating the two temples. When done with construction it’ll be a great place to hang out and feel the ocean breeze.

Sorry, but the only thing you will find here : "no entry". Thought the entrance price is small (60k), it is not worth it. Some rocks are by the way not natural

Pura Baru Bolong temple is on the same way as Tanah lot. It is situated in the same place but is in the opposite direction of one another. Tanah lot is to North side while Pura Batu is in South side. From both these ends you can see sunset with your naked eye. The temple is not for visitors to take pictures it is only opened for devotees but still if you want to take a picture you can but from a distance. The place is located near the top edge and has some quite distant good views from there. Inside the temple you can see place to sit and the temple has a good view which soothes your mind. The surrounding area has some local food bites also has some shopping places. If you walk little far there are shacks where you can enjoy the view and relax for few hours in the sun. This place is good to visit for sunset. On the very same day you can visit tanah lot as well as Pura Batu Bolong temple. After 7pm you can actually visit the temple as there are no ropes surrounded to the temple. Enjoy the sound waves. The temple has history and you can read it on the stone carved there. Place is usually crowded and people are seeing taking photos and selfies. You can relax yourself in the shadow. Also you can take staircase to the beach down it very breezy and peaceful. On the right side. You can see the blue water and sit and relax their.

A must visit and a fantastic place to come for a walk or to explore the shops. Many spots on the beach to take beautiful photographs. Lots of crabs on the rocks nearby, it is actually cool. Place is easy to reach and lots of parking spots nearby. Lots of sights nearby to explore.

Batu Bolong Temple is a captivating destination. Perched on a rocky outcrop overlooking the ocean, it offers breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere. The temple's architecture and intricate carvings are a testament to Bali's rich cultural heritage. It's a must-visit for travelers seeking a blend of spirituality and stunning natural beauty.

Very unique temple on a unique piece of cliff. Nice walk path with view to the sea. But the people selling small stuff are overdoing things and is a bit annoying. Also the toilet is dirty but not free.

Pretending to be a rock is located on a freeway, a sengtooth beach, a lombok west, southeast nusa west. Pretending to be a rock isa tourist attraction and a Hindu place of worship. A lot of tourists come to this trench, to watch the sunset. Pretended the rock was built on a rock that jutted out into the sea, giving it a different shade as a pretense. Pretending the rock was on the black sand beach and had a hole in the middle. For that reason the pura is called a bottomless rock. Tourists can enjoy the sunset in different ways at these places. The beach scene is also much more complete with traditional fishermen diving or fishing. As the sun begins to sink, the water around the shore of the tooth is slowly orange following the sun's heading toward the western horizon. They will also grow so high that they generate a sense of peace and wonder simultaneously. Pretending the hall stone faces directly against the lombok strait and the great mount of Bali, making the pretending a strategic spot for sunset viewing.

Lovely pictures to be taken here. Nice to be by the sea and see these temples in Tanah Lot. There is a fee of around £3-£5 to enter the Tanah Lot area by car. The clothes are much cheaper here in Tanah Lot than in Canggu or Ubud. We bought a lot of shirts.

Batu Bolong Temple is actually part of the Tanah Lot Temple complex, and can be easily reached by walking about 250 meters North. The temple is built on a huge rock ledge jutting out into the ocean.

It is a small temple built over a cave-shaped rock above the sea. It is right next to Tanah Lot Temple.

A second lesser known temple in the Tanah Lot area, situated a short walk on the right of Tanah Lot temple. It is situated on the other side of the rock bridge. Unfortunately, visitors can not walk over the bridge.

  • 5/5 Ian E. 4 years ago on Google
Less crowded temple beside Pura Tanah Lot. This is where the iconic sunset will take place, the sun slowly set down behind of this temple. Just a short walk from Tanah Lot Temple, unfortunately the temple at end of cliff is closed for visitors and can be seen only further away.
