We went to James Cook for a quick burger and it was great. We had a James Cook Burger and Fish and Chips. It was amazing to see all the sports being played on all those screens. Really recommended if you are fan of sports. Overall a great experience 🍻

I went here thinking it may be similar to the Plumbers Arms Pub nearby but between sitting the almost total darkness trying to eat my meal, having some random local sneak up in my face trying to offer me drugs, and bogans screaming at the TV watching some UFC match, I was a little shocked. The burger was good, staff were not attentive and it felt dark and seedy like it was a burden for me to try pay my bill, I would rate this dive bar 1/5.

Worst experience I have had to date in Bali with food. Literally 6 hours over 3 nights trying to get a meal I paid for. Ordered a meal, waited 2 hours for it to be replaced and nothing. Eventually they got back to me but it was too late as I ordered elsewhere as I was hungry. Next night they said they would replace. Waited 2 hours and no reply after my order. 3rd night refused for me to have it replaced unless they delivered it personally. No way I wanted them knowing my address after how rude they were and them accusing me of trying to get a free meal on top of other rudeness. Wouldn't deal with them ever. Just a warning.

Went here to watch the World Cup. Made took care of us real well. There is a beautiful community of expats who came out to this bar. Any time you are looking for a pool table to play billiards you should go here.

Went there to watch the Anzac day AFL game this year. Good atmosphere with plenty of Collingwood & Essendon supporters there! They had multiple TV'S in the room so no matter where you were you could always see! They even had the NRL game on in the back. We only ordered some chips, spring rolls, a juice & a cocktail for my wife. Wish I could've tried a burger but I unfortunately wasn't feeling well at the time. Food & drinks were good but wait time was a bit long, probably because it was pretty busy.

Please fix the price of the food again, ma'am, so that it matches the price in the customer application, don't say that when you pick it up, the food isn't that much.

Not one to post reviews unless a place deserves it but I couldn’t not. James Cook Sports Bar is a great place to watch sport, have a good meal and get cheap drinks! Made and the rest of the staff always made my partner and I feel welcome and right at home. We came once as it came up on Google as a place to go watch AFL.. then after having such a great experience we came back 3 other times during our holiday because they all looked after us. If you’re after a nice place to watch sport with cheap food & drinks this is the place to be! They also have pool & darts; plus their puppers are always around and they are super cute! Will be coming back for sure :)

Great for watching the Euros on Sunday night, lively band and a few lively customers. Band overlapped the football commentry, but that was fine as everyone was having fun. Attentive staff, prices were great value for money.

A big shout out to Nikki , Matt and all their staff at James Cook Sports Bar(JCSB). As usual, they continue to provide their always excellent service and fun atmosphere. I attended their Melbourne Cup Day function this week ( where else in Bali would you go on such an iconic occasion?)The chicken/salads buffet they presented was fresh, the food plentiful and delicious, and the staff very attentive in maintaining the food levels. Every time I visit JCSB, the service, food and refreshments are always top notch. I'll be back (again)!!

Wandered into this bar on a cloudy Monday afternoon with my husband. Got chatting with bar owner Matt and enjoyed it so much we didn't leave till late. Good beer, fantastic food. Got invited back on the Thursday evening for a round of Pool with a few of the locals. Had such a brilliant night with some of the nicest people we met our entire time in Bali. A big thanks to Matt and his very attentive staff at The James Cook Bar for making it such a memorable visit. We will hopefully be back someday. Dave and Jacqui. 😀

Really great and atmosphere pub in Bali. Nice affordable food and cocktails are pretty good too. But the most advantage of this place are cool people who work and hang out there. Totally recommend 🤙

This used to be my regular until I moved into Seminyak. The bars in there are clearly struggling and seem to have lost threir way, but the Cook is still hitting the spot. Menu gets a big tick with heaps of options including a good vego range, and the staff are Tops!

Walked in on a sunny afternoon. Delighted to see small crowd watching and cheering a football game. Good selecting of beer. Awesome 5 star worthy mojito! Had been a while since I ate spicy chicken wings, so ordered those. Took 20 mins, wings were tiny, chewy and rubbery, and no dip on side to cool off the heat. Maybe I'll try again, but regular & local food.
