Very nice hi-end thai author restaurant. Fish bakwd in salt was very good. Salad with shrimps and sweet pomelo was incredible. Highly recommended.

OMG! Beyond expectation! Definitely going to my top list. Everything was perfect! Especially the Mango Sticky Rice. A bit pricey but taste more than its worth, and its a cool place to chill. Bring your date if she’s into Thai food, she’ll love it!

Not really sure how to review this place. In terms of environment... it is 5 stars. Such a beautiful place... the type of place you come for your anniversary. In terms of service, it’s is 5 stars and not fake nice... but a true 5 star, properly trained service... as in you feel like you’re in a top restaurant. The food was nice, but really didn’t impress enough to stand out and when you take in to consideration the high price. I ended up giving it 3 stars. If you get the curry 🍛, which is what I did... you can share that with 2 or 3 people and each just gets extra rice 🍚.

Went to Som Chai with no expectations and couldn’t have left happier. All dishes were amazing and had a separate menu for allergies/intolerances/preferences. The Pad Thai was a personal favourite, not sure I’ve had better outside of Thailand! Great friendly service and would recommend to anyone in Seminyak! Thanks for a great night.

We came here for lunch. First, this place is very very hot. We ordered beef shin curry, grill skewers and Thai sausage and beef in basil. We think the food was just average. Lots of sauce, this heavy and tasty. Drinks are about 60-80K Rupiah.

Love it! Love it!! Love it!!! Was there for lunch and we are surprised that we had the whole place to ourselves! Perhaps the recently volcanic activities on Mt Agung diverted the tourists to other destinations. Lovely ambience and even better food. Thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Will be going back again the next time I'm in Seminyak.

Part of the same chain of restaurants as Mamesan and this one specifically focuses on Thai food. The place is nicely decorated and has a hidden back area that is more than double in size and is used for special events. I arrived for a late dinner and was the only guest in the house unfortunately. From the outside you'd never know it was so nice inside might be because it's on a busy street of Seminyak. The menu had too much long winded descriptions behind each dish and I didn't feel like working that hard at the end of my long day. Ordered the soft shell crab appetizer which was scrumptious and not greasy which was a nice surprise. The service was super friendly and took the time to educate me about the restaurant and gave me the royal tour. I'd definitely go back!

Som Chai blew me away !! All my senses were on high alert the moment I entered the building. The most amazing and beautiful restaurants I have ever been to. The food was sensational, the Wasabi scallops were incredible... No trip to Bali is complete with out a visit to this restaurant !! five stars plus plus

Wow. Randomly happened upon this restaurant while shopping and so glad we did. Without a doubt the best and most original Thai food we've ever had.

👍👍 I'd recommend reserving for brunch if you want to sit indoors. I ordered the Full English Bunny Breakfast which was very good. Every ingredient was delicious and it came in a lightly toasted brioche bun. For the drink I ordered the Strong Boy - I highly recommend it 👍
