Was walking along Double Six Beach when I saw this modern looking restaurant with a great beachfront view. The staff greeted us immediately and were extremely friendly. They were also very helpful throughout my time there. I ordered the Wagyu Beef Burger, Red Miso Chicken Flatbread, Quinoa Bowl and Hot Chocolate for 2 people. They were all excellent especially the flatbread. Upon payment, the friendly waiter told us that they had given us a 50% discount since it was their anniversary! I only paid slightly more than 200k Rp for everything that I ordered. Would highly recommend eating here!

Super chilled sunset vibe with nice cocktails and friendly staff. Wish I had discovered it earlier and had not spent my sunsets at the hotel pool! Only negative point. There’s music from the lounge and also from the beach and they are competing with each other. Actually the live music from the beach was much nicer, I wish they had just stopped their own music during that time. It would have been much more relaxing to not hear two different types of music at the same time.

Location is very nice, located at the back of Indigo Seminyak hotel, which has direct access to the Seminyak Beach. The beach itself was clean. This is good place to relax while having good meals. Food selection was great IMO. I had two times breakfast there. Noodle then Bacon with egg burger. Side dish was crispy pork bacon which was really great. Fruit platter was also satisfying. The pineapple juice was great, also the espresso coffee. Service was also great too, they open at 7 am for breakfast, we could wait there when there's one time I was too early. Staffs were very nice, polite and fast service. I will come back for sure. Oh the price to me was acceptable to this level of resto in a five star hotel.

Perfect place for breakfast. Overlooking the Seminyak beach, this bar resto is a very nice place to sit, enjoy your morning breakfast and your coffee. Not only the place is nice, the service and most important the food is super delicious. I always have breakfast in this place, while staying in Indigo. They serve ala carte dishes, with many healthy options and very wonderful plating. Best options for your breakfast : Pattaya bowl, fried rice, fried quinoa and waffles. I can eat these everyday!

Had sunset drinks and dinner here. Prices are pretty good. The staff were warm, friendly and professional. Very spacious deck with comfortable seating and view of the ocean. Definitely a great place for some sunset drinks and a bit of food. Mains in particular are delicious. Especially the grilled chicken. 👍🏼👍🏼

The most frustrating thing about this place is taxis cannot come anywhere near the entrance so when you're leaving ensure you book a taxi from the restaurant and you have to walk back about 500m to where the taxis wait for you. Dont do what I did and listen to a staff member who told me to go the opposite direction to get to the street. I ended up walking close to 2kms carrying a tired toddler in high humidity conditions before a free taxi showed up. Apart from this experience the restaurant was nice with a nice view of the beach. It also has a swimming pool if you so desire to use it. The place was also clean. The food we ordered was very delicious and generous. The price was on the higher spectrum but is still affordable. The staff were friendly and tried to be helpful and were successful in most parts apart from my intro story. This is the second time i've been to this part of Seminyak and will avoid it as much as possible as there are many more beach side restaurants that are easily accessible. However, if you don't mind the walk, then feel free to visit this area. There are lots of restaurants and tourists who visit here. Just not my cup of tea.

Atmosphere was great, food well presented, rose sangria was to die for. But there was a cockroach at our table. Big one too. Well fed. He climbed from under our table and into our plates as we were leaving. I would hate to see what the kitchen looks like... 😩😩😩

Delicious food, though the portion wasn't too filling. The kiwami wagyu bollar blade was tender, seasoned perfectly, and paired well with basil sauce. The king prawns tasted fresh and the corn puree that accompanied it was amazing. The gindara miso had an intense umami and was cooked well. The edamame had an interesting option of being grilled and marinated in a sweet soy sauce instead of being steamed and salted. The kiwami sushi was also delicious. Would recommend any of the aforementioned. They do robata (grilled food) at night, which I wouldn't recommend as much since it pales compared to their ala carte menu. They give you a small complimentary appetizer that changes by the day, which was a nice touch. I got a sushi roll one day and a seaweed tempura another day—both really good.

Very nice place to relax and enjoy sunset at Seminyak beach. Easy access to beach. Food is delicious, staff very friendly. Few sunbeds at pool area with great view invite to enjoy the clay and wait for sunset. More on the medium high end place with the respective guests.

Fantastic experience at Sugarsand. The service is impeccable, friendly, attentive. Couldn't be better. Food selection is great. Many options at all price levels and all excellent quality. The fresh barramundi and the prawns pictured in my review were cooked to a very rare perfection. I was very impressed with my experience here and look forward to coming back often! 😁👍 Only one small criticism: the lights in the interior dining room are too intense for dinner. I'd suggest dimming them for a more intimate atmosphere 😊

Connected to our hotel Indigo with superb service, athmosphere and modern architecture, especially the bar and swimming pool are attractive. Food is great not extraordinary and music gets mixed with music from the beach which is not so nice. Other than that, very sure you'll have a great time at SugarSand!

GREAT restaurant and bar! We had a family dinner & drinks here that was excellent. Good vibes! Delicious food and the drinks were amazing. What really stood out for us was chatting to Surya, one of the waiters. He had an amazing personality, great recommendations about the food and chatting about Bali. His smile was genuine & he made us feel well taken care of. Thank you Surya for your conversation and company! We left very happy! Highly recommend spending your evening here.

The food is amazing, had rarely anything comparable. For Bali a bit more pricey, but totally worth it. What made it especially enjoyable though was the staff who were so friendly, attentive and accommodating. We came here for breakfast and lunch several times, they remembered our names and our coffee preferences. Re Dream, Emy, Mei and Adhy are great, keep an eye out for them!

We ended up having three meals out of three menu sets at the place, blue hour, robata grill, and breakfast. All of them were unique and a perfect fusion of local and Japanese cuisine. Chill vibes and friendly staff completed the experience.

Last visit was 5 years ago but it's still a great place to spend a day at the pool. 600k minimum spending for a daybed includes towels. Great view watching the world go by and an overview over the ocean. Lovely staff and yummy food and drinks.

Very nice place. The servers are very attentive and friendly. It’s a fancy place so you get smaller portions but very beautifully plated. Don’t bother with the bakers basket. All of the food was very tasty

Beautiful location, fantastic and attentive staff. The food is decent, drinks are great. The view is brilliant. Come here at sunset.

This place used to be my favourite on the beach front. Not anymore, since one of their staff was apparently instructed to be rude to potential customers. Long story short, using their furniture frame on the beach to watch the sunset, we were told to pay full price for an unclean/unfurnished terrace, or leave. Did the latter. Not going back.

Good location and easy to enter spot right next to beach for people who want to be still close to beach but doesnt like sand. Daytime can easily have a bed next to pool, only minimum requirement is to spend 600k. Only downside is that bed area floor has some achrylic glass pieces missing and missus cut her hand. Just have to be careful. Staff is very friendly and reasonable, service is fast, prices are good. Cocktails and food are decent, good spot to get sushi I would say. Recommend!

Highly recommend going for the a la carte breakfast at SuperSand for anyone staying at the Hotel Indigo. Food’s certainly up to scratch, while the staff and sea-facing outdoor atmosphere are lovely. There’s also an upper level open air deck where you can enjoy the nice breeze while taking in the sunset.

Cocktail was tasty (Geiko & Maiko) and very pretty. Also, the wagyu sando was presented very nicely, and the onions complimented the beef. However, the glazed chicken looked like it was re-plated from the American orange chicken dish, and tasted like it too. I was expecting much more. I gave two stars for service, because other than one waiter who was pleasant (I didn't catch his name), the others pretty much avoided eye contact with me just because I'm not white. I saw 3 other tables with white guest getting tons of attention, one of them barely ordered anything. This attitude left a putrid aftertaste far worst than anything else. Perhaps Asian tourists would want to give this place a skip...

We were spending my husband's 35th birthday in Bali and as we'd gotten married at Indigo Bali hotel 4 years prior I wanted to take him back to this magical place for his birthday. We had his bday dinner at Sugarsand and we truly couldn't have asked for a more magical evening. On top of the food and drinks being exceptional (and I mean still-dreaming-of-them exceptional), it was the outstanding service that made the whole experience absolutely unforgettable. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with the warmth and hospitality only Balinese people can deliver. The entire staff was so attentive, yet it never felt overwhelming. To wrap up the beautiful experience, the staff surprised my husband with a birthday song and cake, making him feel truly special. I would love to end this review with some standout food recs, but absolutely everything we tried was spectacular, not to mention the craftsmanship Sugarsand's mixologists bring to the table. 11/10 experience!

Our dinner at SugarSand was amazing. They acknowledged it was a birthday celebration, arranged the best table with a view, and created a lovely celebration. A great vibe overall.

Modern outdoor bar and restaurant. Quiet after dark. Has loud music and bright spotlights. There is a pool with seating around it and also lower level seating separated from the pool by glass - looks fun. Close to the beach and also connected to Hotel Indigo via a gate that needs a room key to access. Good service. Cocktails were OK - about 120000 but there's a daily happy hour around sunset. Market fish was well cooked but not much flavour (whitefish) or sides. Çhifa fried rice was excellent. Chicken sandwich also good. Snacks with the cocktails were very tasty. Came to 50 USD for two.

Sensational view of the beach and the portion sizes are extremely generous. Happy hour gets you two delicious cocktails for AUD$12. A great place to sit and watch the sun go down over Seminyak.
