Highly recommended for lunch and dinner for those who like Indonesian food with a wide choice of menus. Just by pointing what you want in seconds the food is in your hand. The food is well priced and good. Pretty good and friendly service. The place is also quite spacious with ample parking area.

Interior is nice for a traditional warung. A lot of variety and the some of the dishes do change from day-to-day basis. Pricing is decent, portion is very generous, food handling is proper and hygienic. Servers are friendly. They have a self-service condiment and cracker station where you can help yourself with. There’re more seating on the second floor but this place is filling up by lunch time. Parking is available but mostly motorbikes only.

Local food at a local price, cost 38k. Noodles, egg roll, 2 grilled chicken sticks, eggs, veggies, and some fried vegetable thing. That is a lot of variety for not a bad price. The grilled chicken and the fried vegetable were the two best tasting items on the plate. But overall i liked everything and will be back!

Portions are absolutely decent for the price and it was tasty as well! Other than most places, here you're asked to order at the counter and you pay in advance. It might be slightly confusing when you get there without knowing. In my opinion it also makes tipping a little more "complicated" because you can't really judge the service and food quality beforehand. You could always just pay for your order and give a tip afterwards, if that's a problem for you. Good value for the price!

Best Warung in Canggu! So many tasty options from the menu or pick and mix from the window, either option will have you full for less than $10aud with a drink for 2 people. It can get busy with locals and tourists so don’t expect to be in and out unless it’s less busy. Plenty of seating downstairs and upstairs, I like upstairs as it’s less busy and a nice view of the street. Recommend coming here to save some $$ while enjoying Canggu.

Food was good. Place waa s clean and neat. But price wise, compare to another warungs, this is one of the highest. The service was ok, and friendly. You can sit on the first floor or second. You can find sate lilit here, and another food that yku can choose..

FOOD POISONING! I had dinner there yesterday, using the buffet. The food was good but after a couple of hours, I started to feel pretty bad. I hapenned throwing up 4 times until 2am. I guess the buffet is the problem, the food is not fresh... Who knows how many hours/days the food stays out of the fridge? Its my 4th times in Bali and I never had any food issue. I wont repeat for sure and I recommend to avoid the buffet!

Good cheap eats and a nice chill place. You order from the menu or from the counter itself. You also get what's there and ready, so if you come for dinner late there might not be everything left but all the food is decent and very cheap. We had noodles, satay and rice dishes, all tasty, though recommend seasoning them yourselves to get the most enjoyment out of the meal. All in all, cheap and pretty tasty so lots to like.

You come to Varuna for good value, tasty food. Do not expect table service or lively atmosphere as that’s not the point. Their large selection of dishes for nasi campur is super delicious and excellent value. Select your plate of food, pay, the find a corner at this two storey warung and enjoy it. It’s usually around 40k IDR per plate depending on meat and vegetable selection. Plenty of choice for vegetarians. I can’t vouch for vegans however, I’m case some of their sauces are non vegan.

When you visit Canggu Bali try Varuna Warung and ask the lady to mix and make you a nice plate. Try the sambal but take care :) Not only eat burgers and fries everywhere, try the Indonesian food also. Don’t take the road you know and order nasi goreng, go mix with white rice. Loved your service and food.

I love this co-op. The food is fresh, honest and delivered with a heart (metaphorically of course). The buffet was gorgeous with plenty of veggie and non veggie options. I loved the tempeh and watercress. I would have given this lovely place 5 stars except that the service, whilst fine, was delivered in a quite grumpy way. Apparently this is a thing here. However, I’m being a white stale male moaning over here: don’t hesitate to go.

I saw all the good reviews but was skeptical at first since it seemed empty when I went. However, I noticed people were sitting upstairs and that we were at the right place. I’m so glad we went. Small local Indonesian shop with a variety of dishes with many veggie options too. You can choose red rice or white rice and then just let the staff know which dishes you would like to add on. Staff was a bit curt, but the food was great and the atmosphere is nice and chill too.

Have ate here a few times now during our time in Canggu and would definitely recommend. Staff is friendly and the food (and price) has been great every time! Can get rice or noodles and point to whatever else you want! The below dishes and a mango juice were 96000 and we sadly weren’t able to finish our plates! The grilled/saucy chicken drumsticks and potatoes end up on my plate with every visit 😀

It was difficult to confirm whether the vegetarian dishes were vegan due to the language barrier (we told them we were vegan and then they told us what meat dishes they had). We chose 5 dishes which were so tasty (especially the aubergines) which including rice came to R30k each. It would be good if they could write what each dish was and the ingredients.

The coconut was so so though, the taste was a bit bland. There is a resident dog at the warung that might come by your table to ask for food lol They have 2nd floor in case the first floor is full. Located next to the Varuna coffee that sells coffee croissant and gelato.

So if you arrive before 1pm, you have to eat the pre-cooked food in the display. You just pick what you want and they add to your plate. Stack it on. However the food is COLD or say NOT HEATED. So it's yummy but it's not warm to eat. Good price though. But other than that. Cool place cool vibes. Staff are nice. Music was a bit too loud though. It was hard to pick and verbally tell them coz your like shouting over the music. Haha.

The Tempe and sweet chilli chicken are out of this world and the portions are big! Has to be a regular, and enjoy it while it lasts! Below plates cost approximately 50-60k.
