The special, which turned out to be a Panini, was ok but the weirdest flavours. Even the margarita pizza was terrible which is hard to mess up! Tasted like a bad frozen pizza. Lived in Bali now 15 years. La Baracca started in Jl Petitenget and was a favourite of ours but given our relocation to Tanah Lot Canggu became the go to. Last night we decided to go to La Baracca Canggu for dinner. Humming along as usual, great. However.......the food was disappointing. The initial bread and balsamic/olive oil offerings were downsized for our group of three. The Pizza Prosciutto had one small portion of ham per slice of pizza. Given it was local parma ham my expectation was something like the picture in the web site. But unfortunately no. My partner ordered Truffle Beef Escalope. Taste was OK but portion size seemed small compared to our previous numerous visits. The real knocker was the request for additional Parmesan. OK but extra charge. Wow. As a patron of restaurants one of the cardinal rules, understanding inflation works on increasing costs, DO NOT reduce quality to preserve profit. One lost customer will totally consume any attempt to preserve that profit.

Value and ambiance. We had 3 pizzas, salad and beers which was a tick over $50 (AUD). Unbelievably cheap for the quality of food and professional service. The building and interior decor is great. Dark, moody and busy with all sorts of things to catch the eye. Staff were wonderful. Can’t fault. Great for a small group or to have a nice date night with your loved one. Highly recommend.

We ordered pizza and pasta, both were cooked very well and had amazing taste. I'd consider them as one of the go-to Italian restaurant in Bali. They also provided free bread as appetizers and free pannacotta as desserts, which were amazing! I only had two concerns: 1) cleanliness, as we found cockroach on the seating area at the corner (below the stairs), 2) the waitress or restaurant supervisor did not seem to wear masks when serving the customers, as suggested for COVID-19 protocol.
