BE WARNED Extremely poor Seafood quality. After hospitalised for 3 days test results came back with vibrio vulnificus bacteria infection, 1 in 5 people die from this. Absolute disgrace to come from a hotel that prides itself on fine dining, food sources, preparation and handling. Disgusted in the fact that they are in denial and offer no assistance, can highly recommend avoiding eating anything from W hotel Starfish Bloo Restaurant. Very scary and expensive lesson. Never been so sick in my life.

The best BRUNCH buffet in BALI periods! Best services, lots of selection of food and drinks! Chills vibes, you can do eat everything, best reserves for your family and friends. For the prices, and the quality times you spent is priceless

Absolutely exceptional Sunday brunch here. Around $150 AUD for the bottomless alcohol and food combo but it was very well worth it. Special mention to the waiters who were so attentive and so friendly they really made the visit extraordinary. The food was all good and couldn’t really fault anything from the satay skewers to the sambal, from the prawns to the sashimi and then to the desserts. Everything was delicious! Will hopefully be back to bali soon to do this once agai.

One of the best brunch in Bali. Been visiting this place many times, (off during pandemic 😀) just took chance for leave some reviews here. Food selections was always excellent, are you vegetarian (I’m not), don’t worry. They still have some nice selections. Me and my husband went there last Sunday, and we had a great time, the seafood, the beef, desserts, dim-sum, sashimi, sushi, all fresh and delicious. and yes you can order as many as you want the juices, smoothies, coffee. The service from the staffs are excellent . Plus you can relax by the beach and pool afterwards. Don’t forget bring your swimming gears 😉

It always has been THE best place for brunch in Bali. Just recently reopen again with strict health protocol, all staff wearing masks and food service behind the counter. It was simply the best way to celebrate Mother’s day with my loved ones. Best seafood brunches, delicious sweet oysters, prawns and crab.

This refers specifically to Christmas Day brunch 2022. I was extremely disappointed having expected much better from the W Hotel. There was a long queue to enter partly due to the bad weather putting some of the seating out-of-bounds. Given the weather has been bad for a few days and rain was forecast, this was not unexpected. They tried to fob several groups, including ours, off with tables one level up in the entrance. Needless to say most people refused. There was zero Christmas atmosphere - no decorations, only the occasional Christmas song being played, no table decorations, nothing for the kids. The food selection was limited compared to the menu I had received and there was no one dish that I would say impressed me. If you are a seafood fan you would have got your money's worth but otherwise I felt it was a rip-off. The desserts are usually a highlight for me but my daughter and I agreed that they were all very lack-lustre. And I'm not sure what the Christmas pudding was as I've never come across that in any country. One bright spot was, having waited 20 mins for our first drink and the plates running out for a while, the service was very good. The staff were all professional, friendly and doing their best. I won't let this spoil my Christmas but I wish I had just spent half the amount of money to go to the restaurant across the road.

Portion size was great Service even better That's where it ends. Seafood was way below par and bland. Oysters where huge and had a very bad after taste Rock lobster was also very bland(didn't know this was possible) There is also an item on the menu called a blue swimmer crab salad. The chef needs to google the definition of a salad. Beetroot on its own is not a salad! The couple we ate with had the sushi which was great.

After paying for the Sunday Brunch at Starfish Bloo, we were horribly disappointed by what feels like a very cheap buffet. The seafood was stale, staff were untrained and unprofessional. Tuna sashimi tasted unfresh and had a slimy look. Oysters were similarly unfresh and warm. Staff behind the grill station were using their hands to snack on the food as they worked and did not change their gloves after or in fact the entire time we were there. I feel like we've been scammed of our money and we will definitely not be going to this buffet or the W hotel ever again.

Best brunch I’ve ever had. Fresh seafood, roasted meats, Indian food, sushi & sashimi, and a great dessert selection. Very popular and needs to be booked for the Sunday brunch. Outstanding service & picture perfect ocean views.

You expect a lot from a fine dining restaurant. Starfish Bloo comes through quite well. Appetizers were excellent. The hot stone snapper is presented beautifully, the beet salad was presented perfectly though lacked a little on the flavor. The sushi is good, but I do get better sushi in Vancouver quite easily. The mixologist drinks were interesting but maybe too adventurous for my taste. The one I had, whose name I forget my apologies, was not a favorite. I'm nit picking here a bit. Expectations are high and they were mostly met. The gluten free crackers were superb. We had two servings of them.

Omg! From the moment you drive into the place.. It's an experience. It's a must. Food that goes for miles. Cocktails 🍸 beach front. ⛱️ The food was absolutely fabulous. Fresh and endless. Your waiters were onto it. Anything you need. You need to go and experience this place. Thank you, Starfish Bloo. We will be back.

As you walk through then enter the dining area your eyes are bombarded with how spectacular the decor is. We were met by the host who walked us to out beach area table. The wine I requested and waited for was eventually not available so i picked another. The menu was limited but sounded great so my wife went for the crispy soft crab, the salmon sushi and the lobster. I opted for the Pumpkin soup for starters then the risotto. I can only say that I was extremely disappointed with the service and food. The waiter struggled to open the wine and split the cork. My wife's starter arrived and after waiting they brought my main course to which I reminded them I would like my starter first. This eventually arrived and as much as I like Pumpkin soup this was far too sweet and no real taste. The risotto was a starter portion and the rice was mixed with some noodles with a very bland taste. My wife's lobster arrived which looked pretty nice but the curry sauce poured on it did not go with it at all. The sweet potatoes were over cooked so that was also very disappointing for 1.4 million alone. The sunset setting and the interior were stunning but sadly everything was downhill after that. Save your money as there are better and cheaper places to eat. Sorry to be honest but there it is.

This restaurant was a coincidence, so happy we ate here. Spices were just melting in our mouths. Everything is made with local products and most vegetables are from their own garden. So fresh and elegant taste, so definitely worth the price (a bit high for Bali) Thankyou Riko for your amazing service!

I really-really have a marvelous dinner with my team here! Starting from my arrival, I was just a few steps from the restaurant door and walked to the table. Instead of having me walk alone, a staff member called Ms. Mala was assisting me beyond the hospitality. She approached me and explained to me every hotel details such as an environmental art that they have, etc. then she escorted me to the table. After I sat on the table, they brought me a menu and I started to choose, Mr. Alit from the service staff I guess was also very helpful in making an order and made everything very smooth. Additionally, when I dine here, I recommend their Bedugul Strawberry Cheesecake, it's definitely my way back here with their Rice Field Cocktail 🍸. As overall a joyful dinner with the seashore sound surrounded your intimacy. 💙

I recently had a delightful dining experience at this restaurant. The staff were all incredibly friendly and accommodating, and one server in particular, Putu, really stood out. He went out of his way to ensure that we were completely satisfied with our meal and experience, and was always quick to respond to any requests we had. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good food and exceptional service.

Located inside W Seminyak, Starfish Bloo offers excellent range of seafood. We lunched here after an afternoon pour prevents us from exploring Seminyak. Their grilled Salmon, grilled Barramundi and fresh oysters are excellent.

This place was on the top of the list on every website for Christmas brunch in Bali and coming here is exactly what we decided to do this year for Christmas. The place was fully booked, as expected and we made reservations weeks in advance. Service staff were very charming and wonderful. In spite of the place being so busy, they were very prompt, attentive, and always with a big smile. The food was also excellent. Huge spreads of fresh seafood, Balinese cuisine, great big roasts, and Christmassy fare as well like stuffed turkey, log cake, and Christmas pudding. We had a very good time indeed.

We had the best brunch of our lives at Stsrfish Bloo and our waitress Nita made it even more special. She took such good care of us. It was quite an experience in a gorgeous setting on the beach. The food is incredible and the service outstanding. Everyone made us feel so welcomed. An unforgettable experience- worth every penny!

Loved the place, my husband had the 9 course curated meal by Chef Ashley, some were a hit and there were a few that were a miss. We had a beautiful view of the sea at dinner and they have a floodlight that lights up the beach , so you can see the waves rolling in. We had some cocktails and they were not that great. The chicken massaman Curry and the prawn starters were really good. Largely Indonesian cuisine , they also have a vegan vegetarian menu as well. If you want to have a seafood dinner by the beach this is a great place.

The problem with the Sunday brunch at the W is that Seminyak has many good eating places, so that the brunch ends up being not that special. It's pretty good, but it's not 'wow', and the hotel and surrounds are not that special to look at either. Nice, as expected, but not glam. The buffet was well managed and never seemed overcrowded, and a free sparkling wine on the way in was a nice touch. Seafood was not as good as you get at our usual haunts, with very watery bland crab, average prawns you had to shell and clean yourselves, sub par oysters, tasteless sashimi and dumplings, average fish bao. Mussels were actually quite delicious, but not much else. Indian fish steak was unpleasant. Meats were good, as were desserts, no complaints there. Vegetarian options were pretty standard fare with a few Indian food options (really good vegetable red curry, an awful dahl, other ok curry) different salads, a top notch Tofu bowl etc. Terrible coffee ! So, convenient if you want a pig-out smorgasbord, and good enough in that respect, but doubt we'll go back. 3.5 stars, upped to 4 for excellent service and how well it's run. If not doing the 'with alcohol' option, do get there early for 2-for-1 cocktails pre-brunch (great margaritas, sub par coffee martini).

What a lovely buffet. Lots to choose from and a great location. However the drinks were very slow, even to the point that they brought us our drink bill before our last drink order had even arrived. So much for working our way through the cocktail menu, lol.

This was a Sunday brunch visit and I knew it would be super busy. We'd just come from staying at really chill places, so this was a little overwhelming for me. The food selection was vast. There was Chinese, Indonesian, sushi, prime rib roast (with very flat Yorkshire pudding), seafood, pastries and desserts. In true buffet style, it's not bad but not outstanding considering you're paying 710k IDR per person.

Staying at the W Bali, you can’t help but crave seafood by the ocean. We rocked up for dinner and even though half the restaurant had an event on, they still gave us a table. I think we asked to sit in the huge nest booths, but were told no, even though noone occupied them the whole night. The restaurant glowed blue, the huge nest booths were a highlight of the decor. The beautiful aqua colours are beautiful. View of the ocean from almost everywhere in the restaurant. The service was very prompt, we felt looked after throughout the meal. Balinese culture is so friendly anyway. Each dish had it’s own beautiful presentation like the shooter of sauce or the spilled fish basket of squid, lobster in the shell, wagyu with dipping sauce on a pebble etc. Everything else we ordered we found deep fried, which ruined the lobster entirely. Here are our favourites; Blue Crab Taco;; House-made “Tobasco”, avocado, bacon 155RP - super yummy! Crunch of the taco, generous sauce, generous amount of crab made for an amazing starter Hot Stone Wagyu - Marinated in the dipping sauce then chuck it on the hot pebble infused stone, delicious

The location is amazing, such a beautiful and scenic hotel. We went for a walk on the beach prior to watch the sunset and then ate. The staff were so friendly and walked us through everything and gave us recommendations. We picked our fish and it was amazing. Would recommend the barrumundi and steak and their desserts - the Bon Bons were incredible. Loved this place - such great vibes and scenic.

Amazing breakfast!!!!!! W has the other restaurant called Fire, which serves more international food and doesn't have the ocean view. starfish Blood was so great out family had breakfast there 3 out of 4 mornings. Came here on a Saturday afternoon before sunset and ordered drinks (promotion buy 1 get 1 free), canapes on the house, sushi platter, green curry and hot plate tofu which came to be about $1mil. The service was really good as the waiters came around and asked multiple times about our meal. One waiter also came to give us grinded fresh wasabi for the sushi. The location was great by the beach and we watched the sun go down. A very amazing experience for great food and great service. Highly recommended.

I had brunch here on Sunday and it was amazing, the waiters were topping up drinks quickly and there was so much options in food to choose from. We were there for around 2.5 hours and needed rolling out by the end. Another enjoyable experience that I highly recommend at Starfish Bloo was the cooking class, we were the only 2 booked so it was basically a private session. We cooked each course and ate as we went along, all 3 were amazing and so tasty! We were even given the recipes to hopefully replicate back home. The unexpected part of the experience was our waiter went full on photographer and captured so many photos and videos during the session. Not to mention also being beautifully located by the beach. Regardless of what you decide to do this restaurant has amazing quality food and the chefs really know how to cook tasty meals

Good variety of food from the buffet. Really enjoyed the Singapore crab omelette an unlikely selection as we are in Bali but the manila clams were plump. A tad salty but being my last dish this was really satisfying. There is also sushi and sashimi in their breakfast selection. Unforgettable breakfast.

👍👍 I'd recommend reserving for brunch if you want to sit indoors. I ordered the Full English Bunny Breakfast which was very good. Every ingredient was delicious and it came in a lightly toasted brioche bun. For the drink I ordered the Strong Boy - I highly recommend it 👍
