A perfect place for South American flavours. The cocktails were great, the Argentinian red was the best and all the sharing plates were so yummy. A phenomenal experience in every way. We ended up dining here twice during our 6 days in Bali and would have dined again if we had the time! From the moment you walk in, the service is exceptional. You are looked after in every way and although it's not the cheapest restaurant in Bali, it's worth every penny! The food is fresh, delicious and cooked to perfection. We love trying as much as we can rather than having a few larger meals and the menu accommodates this perfectly. Over the two nights we had almost half the menu and I honestly couldn't pick a highlight as it was all just so good. The cocktails are amazing too and there are plenty of options on the menu. Definitely give the Lemon Meringue and Chocolate Margarita a try alongside dessert! We sat inside one night and outside the other, both different experiences but just as good. The inside is air conditioned nicely and gives a good escape from the humidity. Outside they provide mosquito repellant which is a nice touch to ensure you're comfortable. Couldn't recommend Barbacoa high enough. It was our favourite restaurant in Bali without a doubt.

Smallest tacos in the world. My girlfriend invited me here for dinner and to celebrate my birthday because I am Latino and she wanted to gave me something special. It is a nice restaurant and we could say luxurious to a certain extent. The lighting is very dim so it's hard to read the menu. We ordered the fish taco and a pork taco, we also ordered octopus and different deserts. Honestly, I ate Latin food and was disappointed. Latin food must be rich in flavor, exquisite, juicy, full of life, flavors and colors. It is a food that makes you fall in love from the sight and when you take a bite, it is an ocean of flavors. For the price I imagined something with good taste, beforehand I imagined that the portions would be very small and they were. The taste is completely flat, the octopus very hard to chew and tasteless, the desserts completely sad. It is a restaurant that I will not visit again. The food just made me feel sad, everything else was great. 😪 it feels like a waste of time to be here.

We love this place. The service is always top notch and the food comes out relatively fast. Servers are very attentive to the table and very friendly. The food is always excellent quality and my favourite is the beef tartare on sourdough. The drinks menu is extensive and they have delicious cocktails. Always leave here satisfied and planning our next visit, been coming here for nearly 10 years.

Really good restaurant! The ribs were smallish but cooked and glazed perfectly. The Lamb cutlets were really good! The potatoes and carrots are honestly amazing! After mains we would of left feeling really well fed but not amazed.. what made the experience really worth it was the dessert. Me and my partner are not massive dessert eaters but the truffle in the tasting plate was very good! We also got the liquid nitrogen ice cream which is prepared tableside and a great experience! Make this place a must visit if your struggling to decide!

Excellent food (amazing steak and pork). Place is unique and aesthetically pleasing. Reservations are recommended if you're planning on dinning here. Price is 200k++. The only reason I'm giving this place a 4 star is because of the flies and the borderline rude waitress (or waitresses). Do NOT sit on the windowside near the parking lot, there are a lot of flies there. As for the waitress, well, smile more maybe?

Sumptuously great place for a proper dinner. We had a great time in this place. The food are undeniably worthy, even their cocktails are delectable. Most are grilled meats but they have different fusion, from Japanese, Malays and a lot more. Pay attention with their suckling pig and Angus beef rib eye, it’s really good and flavourful. You should try this if you’re in Bali, Indonesia.

Updated menu for a Seminyak classic. This has always been a good restaurant, but since reopening their new head chef has really upped the ante and made it exceptional. Tried a number of cocktails all of which were amazing. Everything on the good menu was REALLY good, but the real stand outs were the vegetable sides. The Al Pastor cauliflower was absolutely mind blowing and up there with one of the best dishes I've ever eaten. The carrots as well were incredible. Super friendly and efficient service, despite being their busiest night since reopening. Keep up the good work! Can't wait to come back again.

Barbacoa is a popular Latin American restaurant with a kitchen fuelled by fire, burning embers, charcoal and smoke. Although the cuisine is quite meat heavy, they also have plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. They have the biggest cocktail list I’ve seen in a while, with every Margarita concoction you can think of. I went with the Lemon Meringue which was a dead ringer for the dessert, meringue and all. The Rib Fillet Steak with roasted chicken butter was incredible! We did ask for it Medium and received it Rare but it was still delicious. I would also recommend the Mixed Leaf Salad and the Spanish Style Potatoes. The corn was too dry and the Straciatella with tomatoes was OK. The table next to us ordered the Charcoal Chicken and it smelled so good, we had massive FOMO. Will definitely return here again.

Gorgeous place, it was a mix of a Mexican hacienda and an old fashion winery. We absolutely loved the vibe, the decoration and the ambience. They put a lot of effort in the details!! This restaurant is a mix of Latin American flavours (mostly Mexican and Peruvian) and everything is cooked using charcoal, so you can expect that smoky flavour in all your dishes. As always we tried to taste as much as our stomachs could handle. We gave 4 starts because google didn’t allow us to put 4.5. Let’s begin!! Pollo taco: it was ok but not exciting to eat. The chicken was all we could taste it was very strong in comparison with all the other ingredients. Carnitas taco: Very well balanced, all flavours were enhanced with the lime juice, it was very fresh. Tortillas are really good in texture and flavour, loved the size as well! Tostada: 10/10 creamy and fresh WOW. It reminded us to the Peruvian ceviche. The dressing and the scallops were balanced, it was delightful to eat, all the flavours, acidity and seasoning were very well achieved! Ceviche: Taking the example of the tostada, with this dish the dressing was too much for the fish they used. It’s flavour was lost because of the (amazingly delicious) dressing. For this ceviche we would have used a more greasy fish (even though for ceviche is commonly used a white fish) to overcome the strong flavours of the dressing. Prawns AMAZING. The pesto wasn’t too strong to cover the flavour of the prawns and the smoky taste of it was just the crown. LAMB barbacoa was delicious , it melts in your mouth and it kind of taste to a Mexican dish called Mixiote, the avocado/mint salsa was extremely disappointing, this is actually one of the reasons we didn’t give 5 stars. When you think about a taco the salsa has to be the most important thing and this one was just a decoration on the plate, nothing more. You could guess it was avocado because of the texture but the mint was the only thing we could “taste”. It was missing a lot of seasoning and acidity. Carnitas were delicious, the texture was incredible, so juicy and soft. I would have added to that plate a couple of tortillas and maybe some chiles toreados to make the plate more fun. Corn, bit dry but amazing flavour, DON’T PUT LIME just try as it is as the black mayo and the lime did not go together. DESSERT The grilled pineapple was the best dessert I’ve tried in a long time. ORDER IT! The presentation of the plate was beautiful. You will find different textures that are incredibly well achieved, the flavours are strong enough that get along with each other in the most perfect way. Sundae ice cream was a clever choice for the menu as they took an average cheap dessert and transformed it. They come to your table with the nitrogen and mix it in front of you. Careful though as I got splashed. We decided after the pineapple that we should try another ones and ordered the coconut flan which was very good but the it wasn’t a match with the sorbet. And the ice cream sandwich was very tasty. Staff was great!!

Incredible food with an equally excellent view. We came around 5:30 with a reservation and we're lucky enough to be seated in the best seats, which overlook a gorgeous green field. As far as the food goes, the cauliflower was absolutely incredible. I've never had better. Our mains were delicious as well. An amazing dinner with an incredible sunset view made this one of our best meals in Bali.

Amazing Western smoked meats in a beautiful brickhiuse location with amazing chandeliers. There is also a courtyard balcony outdoor area that overlooks a grass field at the back which is really romantic. It got quite rowdy and noisy inside later in the night. We managed to get a reservation for 3 pax dinner on Saturday 2 days prior. Service is 10/10. Everyone is super experienced and constantly checked in if everything is OK. Food wise maybe 8.5/10 Starters: sourdough with garlic (7.5/10 - nothing fantastic. Bread was really good though) and scallops (8/10 - sauce and Seasoning was really good. Scallops can be more seared) Mains: bbq pork (9.5/10 - AMAZING. The meat is super tender its quire amazing how this is done. Lime mint sauce was really good too) and 300g beef (9/10 - pretty decent. Medium rare was definitely on the rare side.) Dessert: the semifrozen dark chocolate ice cream with honeycomb topping. This was truly AMAZING 10/10. Really surprised how well this turned out - the bitter chocolate was well balanced with the sweet honey comb bits on top. Must try while in bali for sure.

Great BBQ food from small and large dishes. Great flavours and wonderful ambience. Staff were incredibly helpful with gluten free options for my son although they can’t guarantee cross contamination due to the way the grill is setup. But as we were the first customer of the night, they cleaned the grill and made it work for us.

We sat outside with a view of the gorgeous paddy fields - which was an amazing experience. Do note that it can get a little warm outside, so do be prepared for that. We loved the personal touch of being offered an entire bottle of mosquito repellent spray. It is also a little dark outside, so they also provide plenty of table torch lights for that. The food was delicious - we got the quesadillas, burrata and steak. We also enjoyed our cocktails. All in all a good experience which we recommend!

Well it was a delicious bowl of bakso and their ribs are so tender and flavourful, how flavourful you may ask? If you make your own beef broth and put a handful of msg that’s how flavourful their broth is! I heard their ribs or so called balung will be sold out after 12pm so come quick for their ribs. If you’re sensitive to food additives stay away from this bakso stall, their sauces their sweet soy sauce clearly labeled full of synthetic sweetener, preservatives, and flavour enhancer, it’s a sad sighting to see that their ribs were boiled in plastic, their rice cakes or lontong also boiled with plastic wrapping. Their ordering system is a mess, payment system also a mess, they had a line but some random karens will come in front of you and still served first, not a lot of seating, poor hygiene hot and humid dining area sure will give you the ultimate indonesian experience! Not forget to mention that they have live music sometimes and limited parking space.

Ohhh the bakso (local dish meatball) and the balung (bones soup) are heavenly.

One of the best South American food I have had out of South America. Serving is huge for fine dining. Sorry Asado melbourne but you need to pick up your game. Hospitality is amazing and fantastic vibe. Drinks were also spot on! Good pricing and worth every penny.

Being greated by friendly staff and a crucified pig we enjoyed a great dinner. Plenty of staff, attentive. Good cocktails, great wines and the menu was superb. The ceviche could be a smoother bite, fish was a bit tough. Steak was great, the horseradish is not my fav in the sauce, but some people love it. The grilled cauliflower was amazing. Chicken good, pork asado delicious. And the desserts were ok, the nitrogen ice cream is 90% theater 10% flavor. The smoked pineapple was amazing, could you double the size though?

SOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOOOOODDD!! 🤤🤤🤤 Definitely the culinary highlight of our trip. We had the BBQ calamari, Papuan king prawns, pork asado, BBQ cauliflower, corn, then the 'junglegold' and roasted pineapple. The lemon meringue cocktail was potent, and chipotle margarita was very interesting. What an experience!!!!

We were so excited to hear that Barbacoa was back open again! I’ve been to the restaurant so many times and it never disappoints. The new menu is incredible, we loved all the dishes especially the oysters and octopus. The cocktails were so delicious, we loved the chocolate margaritas so much! Nic the talented chef came over to say hello and our waiter Youda was so amazing explaining the food and was so accommodating

What a fantastic evening. Everything went smoothly and effortlessly. Everyone involved was so polite and helpful with all smiling faces. The menu is pretty damn good yet not huge and overwhelming. All the dishes we ordered were deliciously prepared with what you can tell is top tier ingredients and flavors. Some prices are a little on the higher side but surprisingly not as much as I was expecting for here.

We came to Barbacoa twice during our stay in Bali. The flavours of all dishes were top notch. We were welcomed by such friendly staff. The pricing is amazing for the quality and quantity of food you receive. Our waitress Okta was an absolute superstar. So attentive, kind and bubbly. We felt like we weren’t just customers that we were friends, she put in effort in to getting know you. Highly recommend dining here!

Dena gave us the best service, so friendly and sweet. We had the best food, the lamb potatoes, asparagus, cauliflower and the lemon meringue cocktail is to die for
