Ryoshi Sushi can be option for you all who's coming to Seminyak and wanna find a Japanesse restaurant. First at all, we didn't expect too much. . Randomly, we walked and found this. But suprisingly, the sushi and rice bowl are so so good. Me likeeee it! There is free ocha refill, ofc. . This place has two concept, in the 1st floor is like a dining restaurant (indoor and outdoor). And in the 2nd floor is a bar with live music.

I have eaten at Ryoahi many times over the years but this visit was a disappointment. I ordered the kelapa sushi set and it was just so so. The fish was decent but not delicious. The calamari sushi was so tough it was inedible. My friend tried to order heaps of individual sushi but more than half of the items on the menu were not available. So the jazz may be great but Au am not convinced the food is as good as the music. At least not in 2023…

Nice Japanese restaurant in Bali. Affordable lunch, teriyaki, sushi etc. Some tablrs where you sit in the floor. I enjoyed mine but don't be in a hurry for food unless you ask them first lol

Im afraid this is a rather mediocre and run of the mill a japanese restaurant. Was craving for some japanese food so decided to pop in after seeing the exterior, which looked promising. They have a nice alfresco seating area. A lot of my favourites were not available, such as unagi, shishamo and salmon skin so we had to order others. We have a variety of sushi, which honestly didnt taste fresh. Some of the sushi also came with a strange accompaniment of mayonnaise and kechap which didnt really go well together. Had some tempura, which was hot and crispy and frankly the only reason i disnt give them 2 stars. Also had cold and hot soba noodles, again, mediocre. Wont be back.

First time at this place. At first we were at the outdoor sitting but then after that we moved to indoor sitting because my mom felt there’s a lot of mosquitoes. The indoor sitting was nice, some part of the area they made it like Japan style dining which pretty cool to me. The food was ok.. the reason I put 3 stars because I realize they have variety pricing on their menus. The waiter gave us (party of 4) the menu to each one of us and when we looked what to order I realized there’s few of some entree prices were different from one menu to the others so with that made me curiosity to see at the bill when got to our table and yes they charged us higher then what’s on the menu. I don’t mind paying $5 different but I felt/made me think like when they see foreigners is it possible they playing around with the prices at the restaurant? I brought this up to someone not sure if she was the manager or what but she apologized and return the extra charges.

The restaurant has two different vibes in one building. The first floor is pure Japanese style dining ambience, while the top floor is an open area with a stage for jazz music performance with minimal Japanese dining ambience. We chose the top floor to watch the jazz performance while having dinner. The music was amazingly spectacular! It was really good! The guests/customers could go up to the stage and had a jam session with the band. It was an amazing experience. However, on the food side, it was quite disappointing compared to the Ryoshi in Ubud. The chicken teriyaki was a bit overcooked. The mushroom steak was too soggy and salty. The salad dressing was insufficient for that large portion of the salad. The beef teriyaki was too overcooked as well. The pickles were not as tasty as in Ryoshi Ubud. The overall taste was quite bland when it wasn't too salty. On the other hand, not all chicken dish was overcooked. It seems like the issue was on the cooking method consistency. The gyudon was surprisingly good. The tempura was fried for too long that the flour batter around the veggie/shrimp tasted too oily and a little bitter on the bento dish. However, it didn't happen on the single shrimp tempura dish. The shrimp tempura was really good! My suggestion to the restaurant: - Please be consistent with the food cooking method to have consistent taste and texture in all dishes - Have more waiters upstair when there's not much happening on the first floor of the restaurant since I had to look for available waiters really hard that evening only to order more drinks or asking for the bill.

Great little Japanese that certainly seems better than its 4.2! I’ve eaten here 4 times in 2 weeks and it’s fantastic and very reasonably priced. The sashimi was crazy fresh and huge portions. I had the Hibiscus sashimi and the teriyaki chicken and both dishes were great.

This was my first visit. Found this place from browsing in Google, convinced to visit after looking at their menu. They have a quite wide range of basic and traditional Japanese dishes (not the fusion types) at fairly affordable price points compared to similar restaurants. This place have outdoor seatings, 1st floor seatings with traditional Japanese style interior and sushi-sashimi bar, and the 2nd floor where the jazz band usually performs. I came at Tuesday night and it seemed like the 2nd floor was closed. They also have spacious parking area in the back if the building. We ordered their sashimi set, chirashi sushi, some maki sushi, sukiyaki-don and yakitori. While the sukiyaki was okay and yakitori meat were a bit dry, their fresh fishes menu - sushi and sashimi - were amazing! The fish slices were fairly thick, fresh and super tasty ( the butterfish sashimi is to die for, as heavenly as good salmon belly). I don’t know any other resto that serves 5 kinds of sashimi with total 16 well presented thick slices, of that quality, with only IDR 80k price. The chirashi sushi also had a generous toppings with only IDR 90k. Tekka maki and spider maki ( if I remember the name correctly) also tasted nice. Another good thing is that the place opens until 12AM so it’s a perfect choice if you want to have a late night chill Japanese dinner. Saw many reviews complained about slow service but luckily I didn’t experience it. The only urgent thing I wish they can improve is to use a bolder shoyu ( soy sauce) to serve the sushi and sashimi with. The current one they’re using is not flavorful enough and kind of watery. Nevertheless, this place is now my must visit when I come to Bali.

It directly became our favourite place in Seminyak. We first visited Ryoshi during lunch time. We didn't expect much though. The sushi is good, the fish is fresh. And then when we know that there is a jazz night. We decided to come back at night. And we are gratefull we did that. We did enjoy the band that night. Come here for the sushi, sashimi, and the deep fried set. For drinks to accompany you during jazz night, you can try balinese sweet rice beer or wines, with their snack

The best sushi I have ever taste in Indonesia. The fish are fresh, their rice is good. And I am so happy that they survived the pandemic. Please keep the good sushi alive, I will always come here if I went to Bali.

The eksterior and Interior is so good, it has Japanese kinda style. Food is good, Ocha and Gari is so good. 👍🏽 Idk if my taste has changed or Ryoshi changed their recipe, its not as Delicious as years ago. Kinda dissapointed but atleast still taste like japanese food.

It is a really nice place overall. They had quite authentic Japanese cuisine with all the regular stuff e.g sushi, rice, udon, tofu, tempura prawns/vegetables and much more. The only bad food I didn’t enjoy was the grilled mochi as it may have had a great texture it was not very nice flavour wise. The avocado was also dissatisfying as it was quite bad like not ripe and a horrible flavour, I understand that there are limited good avocados in Bali but I expected more than what I got. The service was alright, pretty nice, nothing bad from it but not exceptional like I have never seen before. The atmosphere was amazing and an authentic Japanese restaurant with seats on the ground with snap pillows and an awesome texture on the roof, floors and even in the serving area/kitchen. Overall pretty nice and enjoyable I would most likely go again especially with the great price.

I didn't have any problems with the food I ordered (they taste good and fresh),... but I kinda disappointed when I came and sat at the outdoor space and the staff didn't come over to hand me the menu. I even had to come to the cashier after around 10 minutes and told them that I'd like to order. Obviously there is something they should've done better, and I hope they will have it improved on my next visit.

Ordered the wagyu which wasn't cheap but they served us a cheap piece of steak, very deceptive! Should've read reviews first as seems they've done it before.

Groovy place. Has upstairs and downstairs. I'm vegetarian and our host ensured my dietary needs were catered for, bringing me real plant based miso over stuff made with fish broth. This made me feel welcomed and brightened up my day!! Also, their vegetarian California rolls were to die for! They pleasingly have a range of fresh juices each day, of which I tried Lime (which they served with syrup). Yum!!! The JAZZ though, that's what you go for. It is INCREDIBLE. Words can't do justice. Just go when there's live music and sit upstairs. Take a date. They'll love it. Just go!!!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ryoshi Restaurant in Seminyak, and it was an absolute culinary delight. The restaurant's serene ambiance and attentive staff set the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. The menu boasts a diverse selection of Japanese cuisine, and each dish is a masterpiece of flavors and presentation. From the fresh sashimi to the perfectly seasoned sushi rolls, every bite was a symphony of taste. The quality of ingredients was evident, showcasing a commitment to authenticity and excellence. The attentive and friendly staff added to the overall positive experience. They were knowledgeable about the menu, providing helpful recommendations, and their prompt service contributed to a seamless dining experience. The ambiance of Ryoshi is perfect for various occasions – whether it's a romantic evening or a gathering with friends. The decor is tasteful, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. While the prices reflect the quality of the dining experience, I believe the culinary journey at Ryoshi is well worth the investment. If you're a sushi enthusiast or simply appreciate fine Japanese cuisine, Ryoshi Restaurant in Seminyak is a must-visit. I look forward to returning to savor more of their delectable offerings.

The must go place when I’m in Kuta. Consistently good food and good ambiance although I notice that they are cutting down their portion size :( so I ended up ordering more food. The raw fish always comes out fresh and the soup is flavorful. Not a fan of their fried dish so far but I came for the raw fish most of the times so can’t really say. Live music every Monday and Friday night. Dinner downstairs then go to the jazz venue upstairs. Do come when you’re in Kuta. Their jazz artists are killing it!
