What a great culinary experience. Cuca is advertised as a tapas restaurant- we did share the 9 plates of food we ordered but my suggestion is that it's far closer to fine dining. It's a place that takes you on an extraordinary culinary trip. The food is fresh and extremely well prepared (before your eyes) using local ingredients. We chose to sit at the chefs viewing table that sits along the edge of the kitchen where you can watch every detail of the preparation of your dish. Then each dish was delivered to us by the chef who described in great detail the dish and was more than keen to answer our questions.

I had a really really high expectation of Cuca after I have read so many good reviews on google and other social media, so I have booked this restaurant as my last dinner of my Bali trip with my friend hoping to end this trip with an awesome meal. However, both me and my friend felt quite upset and a bit down after the visit. The environment and the vibe is absolutely nice. The whole staff team is so friendly and helpful! Which, made us feel even more exciting to try the food. Turned out the food quite disappointed us. After reading others review and the owner’s reply, I totally agree that different people have different tastes and Cuca is very proud of their unique invention and concept, twisting the flavors. Therefore I’m here just to share my 2 cents worth opinion. Me and my friend we are considered as very open minded person towards any food and any taste, but at Cuca, we felt there was way too much fancy flavors and texture being put into one dish but they did not resonate with each other. The flavor of some ingredients is way too strong and over power everything. Especially the beef bone marrow. The saltiness covered the sweet from the rice and the strong herbs used in the beef overpower it’s original taste. The famous pumpkin salad, each of component is really good. But the sweetness of granola adding up on the sweetness of pumpkin made us very confused and the texture of all food ingredients together does not match each other. It’s a really lovely space, we really hope the food can be adjusted and improved to really showcase what a Asian top 10 restaurant should be like.

I was grateful to be able to dine here despite making super last minute reservation. The staffs were very attentive and accommodating to my dietary restriction (gluten free). They adjusted their chef tasting menu to be gluten free 🥰 I would love to come back here when I got a chance. Thank you for providing amazing food and incredible service.

The food was extravagantly special! Amazing Atmosphere and prepared, friendly and welcoming staff! They treated us with extreme regards no metter outfits or appearance (we just came back from a beach day and I didn’t expect to end up is this high level place). Most importantly if you truly want to immerse yourself in an Indonesian culinary food experience you absolutely need to try that! Unexpected and mind blowing! Strongly suggested all the fish/seafood dishes! Congrats to the great idea!

We had a family dinner on Feb 14, 2021 in this restaurant. Venue & atmosphere is great, we chose our seat on the garden area with a great view as well. Staff and owner is friendly and helpful. Food is superb, as we really enjoy most of the foods. Lots of superb food presentation and great taste, as you can see on our photos. Definitely will visit this restaurant again whenever I will visit Bali.

Flavorful, tasty and innovative menu! I was here on NYE and I couldn't pick a better place than this one. I picked the festive menu. All foods were super tasty and unique. I've tried several other fine dining places in Bali but Cuca is the best so far. I can't wait to be back and try their other menu! The restaurant has a great atmosphere. The only downside during my visit was being seated in the corner of the bar but maybe it was because I was by myself. The owner & his wife were very welcoming and friendly. The staff were professional and well trained. I highly recommend this place.

Randomly stumbled into Cuca on a Monday night and experienced the most pleasant of surprises! The food and the staff were top tier. We ordered the oysters and they were some of the cheapest and most delicious we’ve ever had in Indonesia. Cuca has invested a lot of time into getting these oysters just right as Chef Kevin will enthusiastically explain to you. Everything we ordered was delicious (definitely get the lobster roll & pork buns!), but the experience was made by Chef Kevin’s obvious burning passion for his craft and the incredibly personable waitstaff. Can’t wait to come back!

OMG where do I start. What an amazing culinary experience at Cuca. I had to change the booking timings they did it at ease. Right from the moment I stepped in and upto leaving the place the Staff made it so special. The food was delicious and the presentation was out of the world. The whole Michelin experience was wonderful. I went with the chefs recommendation, it was overwhelming and exceeded my expectations. Kudos to the chefs and the staff. Thanks to the owners for such a lovely evening. Will be one of the special moments at Bali.

Cuca is the most amazing and delicious experience by far in Bali! Every single dish we ordered was unique, unexpected and mouthwateringly flavorful. Our favorites/must-tries are: the baked scallop, lobster roll, spicy crab and crispy chicken! And, of course The Bali Breakfast for dessert is to die for, perfect way to end the meal! The service was incredible from beginning to end, and the timing of each dish was spot-on. Such a beautiful restaurant for a nice dinner date or dinner with friends/family. I cannot recommend this place enough, absolutely my favorite restaurant in Bali hands down!

Fantastic dining experience, beautifully laid out restaurant. The food was great but the staff was the standout of the night. Highlight were the oysters with an edible pearl which needs to be tried if you are an oyster lover - wife said best oyster she has tasted. 4 Tapas were plenty with a sneaky couple of oysters. Booked an anniversary dinner in our last night in Bali before our flight home and I gotta say - I went in with some skepticism, but came out absolutely blown away. We arrived for our reservation and were greeted by super friendly staff who took our bags for us and walked us to the restaurant. The property looks like a nice resort rather than a restaurant. It appears many people also hit up Cuca for dinner before the airport as our bags were quickly taken for storage and a luggage chit was given to us. We were then taken to our table at the food bar which was a super cool experience getting to see the kitchen work. The owner and head chef would pop in and out of the kitchen and was fully aware of what was going on at all tables. We ordered a moongria and big apple cocktail to start and both were very good. We got the chefs tasting menu which was awesome. Each course was presented very nicely and was served with an explanation of what the dish is and how to best enjoy it. The head chef / owner made it a point to deliver one of the dishes to us and explain the origins. I was quite impressed with the passion he showed in describing the dish (even after probably doing it 100 times each night). The food was incredible and the staff were also incredible. Since we were there on an anniversary dinner we even got a photo keepsake which was a very nice gesture. Overall this is a great dining experience which in any other destination would be fine dining, but since it’s Bali it’s nice to get the fine dining experience but have a more relaxed atmosphere. The food quality is unmatched and the staff are passionate about what they do. Highly recommend and will definitely be back if we go to Bali again.

Absolutely love this restaurant. The staff were not only friendly and attentive, but extremely knowledgeable about the menu and its offerings. We ordered a variety of dishes to share. Most comes in a pair, so it’s just nice for the 2 of us. Had an enjoyable meal and would return again.

We had such a wonderful time on the first round, we ended up going back a second time on our last night in Bali! The service was thorough and attentive, the food was very tasty and nicely presented on the serving plates, I love each dish have their own unique plate shape to really bring out each dish's identity. I had a very interesting fine-dining experience here! The staff was not only knowledgeable about the intricacies of each dish but also exuded a genuine passion for the culinary art. The culinary adventure was very exciting, it was my first time trying a savory cotton candy. While it was a bit pricier than your typical local spot, the quality of the food and the overall experience make it a worthwhile indulgence.

It’s a “Michelin-star” grade restaurant with a twist, one where you can enjoy every bite of the gourmet food in t-shirt and shorts. Great ambience, attentive service and fine food. They claim that they’re not a fine-dining restaurant, but I would say that they are the avant-garde of fine-dining where in the modern days, gourmet dishes should be enjoyed when guests are the most relaxed and comfortable - both in attire and in mood.

One of the best meals I've had anywhere - highly recommend! It's rare that my wife and I find restaurants where we feel each course meets or exceeds the standard set by the last, but Cuca truly delivered. Everything from the amuse to the dessert and digestifs rivaled the best Michelin-starred restaurants we've visited, but the pork buns and soft shell crab were particular standouts. Great service as well, and Chef Kevin went out of his way to make us feel welcome. Can't wait to come back!

Amazing experience in Jimbaran!!! Wonderful dinner with unique food! The food is not just unique but also tasty and good quality of food 🤤 The space is quite huge I love the garden. They have special menu called CTM (Chef Tasting Meal) you'll get few meals + dessert. The staff are friendly, nice and polite. The toilet is soooo clean and comfy (good water pressure). Everything is beyond perfect from the food, facility, services, etc!

Wow. Must try in Bali. We were blown away at the intricacy of flavors. Service was impeccable. “Pricey” for Bali standards — but well worth every cent. Be sure to get the bone marrow, oysters, ricotta gnocchi, and their signature dessert.

Had the Chef’s Tasting Menu with the additional oyster options. Amazing food with great flavors presented beautifully. Please note to cater about 3 hours for the entire experience as there’s a bit of a wait between courses. So kind of them to give us a complimentary digestive drink at the end.

Wow, an amazing experience. The food and service were wonderful. I highly recommend eating at the food bar/kitchen table. You're not going to see some high stress Hells Kitchen type deal, but a great look into a very professional competent brigade pumping out magnificent dishes. When they recommended only picking 3 tapas items per person, I thought they were crazy, the portions on some of the dishes didn't look like they'd fill you up. But I'm glad we listened to the server, she was absolutely spot on, even the dishes that look small fill you up, we had barely enough space for dessert, and I'm glad we could fit it in. They also had great cocktails, I really like how the server the sangria with the cubed fruit slows breaking down in the glass.

As a family of 7 (5 kids aged from 7 to 13 years) we don’t often venture out to dine. But when in Bali and on holidays we wanted to enjoy a lovely meal together and so we booked dinner at Cuca’s. Our family felt warmly embraced by the attentive staff from the moment we stepped foot inside the beautiful grounds. The staff serving our pre dinner drinks were genuine and kind when the kids were ordering and great at explaining things. Dinner itself was of course incredible, the kids were included in the fun with fairy floss and the chef suggested menu was on point. Make sure to order the kids dessert too or they will eat yours! We also heard of the soon to be completed kids playground which sounds like another magical addition to Cuca’s. A place where everyone can enjoy wonderful food and atmosphere (and don’t be scared to include the kids, they will love it as much as you!)

Fantastic food with a unique flair...we sat at the bar overlooking the kitchen and it was basically dinner with a show watching the Cuca team construct brilliant dishes that left us blown away. However, beyond the food and atmosphere another aspect of our experience stoodout and took our visit to the next level...the service was outstanding! From taking the time to explain the dishes / cocktails to ensuring we had everything we needed during our dining experience. Special thanks to Ina for being so pleasant and knowledgeable. Perfect, Anniversary and birthday in one. You are greeted at front walked to the garden lounge, your drink then follows you to the table. The setting is beautiful. We had tasting menu at the table set up overlooking the kitchen, each dish was explained and was beautiful. The staff added special touches to the night for my husbands birthday. The food and drinks served at Cuca are both visually good and extremely pleasant. You can taste the freshness of ingredients used in every dish served: juicy, savory, sweet! Every ingredient complimenting each other in the dish. Food that made of love and can feel that that Chef is putting a lot of heart in presenting and delivering a delicious plate to the customer. The service crew is very attentive and warm. Cuca is on my list of “must visit restaurants” every time I visit Bali. The dining environment is cozy where you can choose to sit in the cool indoor, to enjoy the sun or star outdoor or to appreciate the chef preparing your food at bar counter.

The beautifully presented dishes were among the best I have tried at any restaurant. They showcased the exquisite skills and we all agreed we would back for more before we leave Bali. I can fully appreciate that this is not the restaurant for everyone but for foodie nuts like us I'd say it's imperative you visit this place. I can also see that the tables further from the kitchen would probably suit diners who wish to engage in other conversations. My first time here & love the experiences. From the moment we arrive, there were staffs welcoming us and guide us through the garden up to the entrance. The reception welcome & greet us. We sat outdoor and I totally love the ambience - until it was starting to rain. We moved to the bar. I personally love the Coconut Ice cocktail..!! I also tried their Moo Cocktail, Tokyo Mojito & Ginger Tonic. All are an amazing cocktails. Never knew chocolate could taste so good as a cocktail. Tried the BBQ Octopus & LOVING it..!! Another dish which I love is their Roasted Pork Buns 🐷 I will definitely go back to try their Gnocchi!

My fiancee took me here on our first date, and it was such fun experience. We enjoyed the food, the ambience was amazing. Will definitely come back.

We chose to sit outdoor and the ambience was definitely 10/10. The view was very nice, the weather was perfect when we went there. It was like the kind of backyard I wish to have in my dream house 😂 First we were given a couple of cold towels. And then they gave us some kind of candy named “cotton betutu” that directly melts in our mouth. Since we have had lunch before, we just ordered some food with small portions for snack, plus some dessert. The food was great and unique even though a bit pricey for us. The staff was friendly and provided great service. Overall it was wonderful experience and hopefully we will come back to try the complete “chef tasting menu”.

Cuca was our final dinner in Bali but it was one of the things that we were looking forward to during our trip. Simply because they were able to cater to my wife's dietary requirements. We usually shy away from tasting menus because chef's don't usually bend their creations for people with different requirements. In Cuca, they were able to provide pescetarian alternatives to their dishes. We truly enjoyed the food, posted below are some of our favorites. The atmosphere and chefs are great, the dynamics of the kitchen was so fun watch where everyone is communicating with each other. Will most definitely go back to Cuca but will pick out our favorites from the tasting menu!

One of the best dining experience here in Jimbaran. Foods, drinks & deserts are all well presented with unique tasteture which I never had it before. It's delicious. The dish is a bit small that's why it calls tapas. Price is a bit on the upper side, two of us spent Rp 1,690k. Overall experience and atmosphere were awesome.

Excellent service - attentive, prompt, disciplined, beautiful grounds, and elegant atmosphere. We liked some Tapas more than others but they were all quite good. The least favorite was the butterfly fish and strawberry yogurt - two conflicting flavors. The nachos, satay chicken, Turkish meatballs, and chocolate cake were hot, tasty, and had interesting textures. Very enjoyable.

Lovely lovely place with incredible food. We ordered around 9 dishes to share between 3 pax. To put it simply, there were no bad dishes. Extremely satisfactory experience in one of the best dining location of the island. We had the chef-inspired 9 courses meal, and we were amazed by the freshness of the ingredients and the food pairings. Scallops, Chinese-style Baos, a masterfully cooked octopus, tasty pumpkins pave the way to the deserts. A real experience you should go for, accompanied by a professional and kind service.

We were not aware of this restaurant by Kevin Cherkas and we gave a try (even not having a reservation) as it was 5min walking from our hotel. The restaurant was full but they managed to give us some space at the counter just in front of the kitchen! What a experience! We were in our honeymoon trip so we couldn’t say no to the tasting menu: 7 dishes + 2 desserts. When I saw the portions I thought it wouldn’t be enough for 2, but I was wrong, the quantity is perfect and the food very creative, as the place. To finalize they gave us as a little gift: a polaroid picture taken during our dinner. Very appropriate :)

Really love the outdoor area. The indoor one is quite dark, even when the toilet is really dark that I have to use my phone flashlight to see the route. The service is really good. The food is also good. But actually the dessert is bomb! I forget about the other menu as soon as I tried the dessert 😂 . I forgot the name of it, but the one that made from frozen yogurt and strawberry was really fresh, really good and also really pretty!

We visited Cuca for dinner and were blown away by the amazing food! The staff are extremely polite and nice, our host Nita was brilliant and helped to accommodate my gluten free dietary requirements. Yes it's pricey but it's among the finest restaurants in the world, and I've eaten at some amazing places all over the world...this ranks in the top 3 of the very best. First, it's in Jimbaran Bali so compared to food in the area it's expensive, BUT it's cheap compared to what it would cost if this restaurant was located in New York, Paris or London...so you need to understand that perspective then go here and enjoy the experience. This place is an absolute MUST to eat at. It is simply world class. There are road signs advertising that it is one of the best 10 restaurants in Asia and IT IS - probably even #1 - certainly the best restaurant I've ever eaten at in Asia. Do yourself a favor -- eat here and enjoy a mid-blowing experience.

What an incredible hidden gem. Am so glad we made a last minute reservation at Cuca. The service and innovative food are outstanding. We sat in the garden which has a playground so the kids were completely entertained while we could sit back, relax and savour the amazing variety of tapas dishes. Came here for lunch after seeing the reviews on trip advisor and it didn’t disappoint. The food was beautiful and the service even better. There’s a kids menu too which our three children enjoyed very much and they even gave them a starter treat and also something to take home. It’s looks like a fancy restaurant but you can wear casual clothes to dine here. I would definitely eat here again, the slow cooked pork dish was divine!!!!!

Fantastic place with a great atmosphere. Each tapas is crafty and there are some gems among them. They come one after the other. Since the service is quick, there is never too much time without a full plate on the table. The rose wine has not been for us. Though, the digestive at the end with coconut and vodka was tasty and cool.

The words memorable and unforgettable are thrown around so much nowadays, that I feel they have lost meaning and value, until you dine at Cuca and they suddenly have meaning again. Outstanding dishes thought with great creativity by Exec Chef Kevin (lovely guy by the way, who takes the time to meet and great all dining guests), and put together by an excellent team. I knew we were in for an extraordinary meal the moment that our pre-dinner cocktails came in the restaurant's own bottles. We would return to Bali just to dine here again. Great ambiance and impeccable food! Hands down the best dining experience in Bali ever. For a price of 580,000 IDR per person, the tasting menu is the most affordable 10 course meal I’ve ever had. I love how all the flavours and plating were all so well thought out. Every dish doesn’t only look good but tastes equally as good. Favourite for me is definitely the pork with pancake bun and the grilled octopus. Definitely coming back again for my next trip.

Best sea food tapas restaurant. Have a new found love for tapas as we could taste so many things all at once. The butterfish and ceviche was fantastic and the squid is ridiculously good. As per serving you may not need 3 tapas per person as they mention on the menu. The portions are good to fill you up with 5 tapas shared between two.

The food was so delicious, except for the squid , it doesn't taste fresh at all. So I ended up ignoring it. I took the valentine package.

Came here for a post wedding lunch with 80 guests. We were welcomed in the outdoor area which is very beautiful and serene and there were canapés served which were amazing. Set menu included pumpkin salad, octopus, lasagna and Bali breakfast (dessert). Everything was phenomenal and I enjoyed it here. Will be back again

This is a really magical restaurant. The Cuca Restaurant has a scenic surrounding, all the dinning options whether it be the garden or indoors all present incredibly well. The restaurant is well maintained and clean. The kitchen is literally the heart of the restaurant, it is open planned for the diners to view directly within and see the chefs hustle and bustle around. Now the food, it is really delicious.... the fusion works perfectly, the staff were excellent. I would like to go back one day.

The food was fantastic. I ordered the chef tasting meal and sat at the kitchen bar. Staff were attentive and friendly. Each dish had a back story and international inspiration. Lovely location and various seating options. Cocktails were fun!

Came for a late afternoon lunch. Had seven different tapas options. Not a bad bite in sight. Tacos were out of this world. Corn is rolled cheese and covered w paprika. Hot potatoes were marvelous. Had two cocktails. Would Gladly drink them both again. 7/5 stars.

Very very average food. We were quite disappointed as after reading the reviews we expected incredible food. We sat at the bar/near the kitchen so we saw the food prepared and were shocked! Most of the food we ordered was microwaved, literally in front of us. I’ve been to high end restaurants in the UK and internationally but that was the first time... wouldn’t go back sadly. Wine was nice and dessert was interesting 3 stars but food is better in small and cheap restaurants nearby.. sad.

This place is awesome! Nestled amongst Jimbaran coast, this place has amazing reviews on Tripadvisor and now i see why. We went here with a group of colleagues and enjoyed the ‘chef tasting menu’ for 580k pp, approx $58. Such great value! There are seperate parts of the menu being ‘harvested, hooked and farmed’ depending how it is produced. The restaurant itself is huge, long tables perfect for groups and smaller tables for date night. roasted pork buns 35 / pc; sticky bbq pork, pancake buns, pickled cabbage, coriander - these were my fav!

First time in Bali and we were lucky enough to stay in a resort 2 minutes away from Cuca. After careful research we decided to go there for dinner and have the Chefs tasting menu while watching the team prepare all our and other guests food. The experience was amazing, food unforgettable and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Thank you to the restaurant, all staff for an amazing experience and the night!

To have an experience dining here is like finding a hidden gem. Cuca is located in Jimbaran but you have to go deep into the "jalanan gang" (small street) to get there. Once arrived you are greeted by the friendly staffs and the site opens up to a spacious landscape with some open seating area. Before seated you are then to pass through the open kitchen through the glass, which at this point you are able to see that this restaurant means business. Despite Cuca's claim that tapas are casual and are not fine-dining food, their professionalism and hospitality are to be rivaled with fine-dining restaurants. True to the nature of tapas, all the food here are meant to be shared and thus conceptualized, cooked, and plated accordingly. Kudos to Chef Kevin and the team for the lovely food and not just for keeping the restaurant afloat but thriving during this pandemic! Note: I believe the menu here changes time to time hence the focus on my experience instead of the details of each food. My only input is for the tea-ramisu to have stronger tea flavor but it's only my personal preference.

The location is gorgeous - a sleek single-story construction set back in an expansive garden giving you an elegant and curated experience, while maintaining a modern, casual atmosphere that perfectly fits with the luxury-beach-holiday vibe of Bali as a whole. But you’re not here for the location or the atmosphere. You are here for the food, and it does not disappoint. Every dish, from the roast pumpkin to the bone marrow rice is perfectly sized, excellently prepared and beautifully plated. The cocktail menu is brilliantly curated - it’s not large by any means, but my husband had 3 different signature cocktails over the course of 2 meals here, and all were judged to perfection. The service is on-point, and all the waiters are attentive, friendly and helpful. Above all, DO NOT miss the grilled octopus, or the pork buns. We’ve had our fair share of both at other locations, but both the octopus and the pork buns were the best octopus and pork buns we’ve ever had in our lives. It would be criminal not to order them. In summary, if you are staying in Jimbaran and have a little extra leeway in your budget, go to Cuca. It is more than worth it.

Modern design, and with minimalistic decoration sets the scene and spotlight on the food. Highly recommended going with the chefs degustation menu, which is reasonably priced and comes with many of their signature dishes and a delight to the senses. They proudly use and showcase the local produce, but with innovative and inventive cooking, pairing and showcasing the main ingredients. Dining at the table overseeing the open kitchen is a great experience as you get to see the young kitchen staff in action. Very incentive cocktails and nicely paired with the main dishes. Service was spot on and very well trained staff makes the experience more memorable.

We were staying nearby and I wasn't sure what to expect with Cuca as I didn't look into it that much but WOW. We had the set menu and all the tapas had an awesome flavour and texture punch. Some fantastic original dishes in here. We'll be back!

We have been here twice now. First time in May, 2023, and because it was so good it was a ‘must go again’ on our itinerary for this trip in Nov, 2023. We started with a cocktail outside, which were different, inventive and refreshing. The food is amazing with a twist on tapas. Too many recommendations to list here. Service is attentive, but doesn’t interfere with the relaxed atmosphere. We will definitely book when we return to Jimbaran, Bali, next time.
