A high end restaurant in double six beach This restaurant is located in the heart of Seminyak, in double six beach hotel. It's a five stars restaurant. We had a great experience there. The food and service was absolutely fantastic. One of the best restaurants in Seminyak

Just average. Used to go years back and it was much better. Staying in the hotel and despite free table, got asked to sit at one despite asking for another. I was told it’s reserved. When left it was still free as half of the restaurant. Cocktails not balanced. Wouldn’t go back despite staying in the hotel . Added the pictures of the empty table I wanted and the one beside me. They could plan better. Found food also average in quality.

If you ever visit Bali, your trip won't be complete without a visit to the Plantation grill steakhouse in Seminyak. The minute you walk in the door you are instantly transported back to 1920s New York Broadway scene. From the servers black and white shoes, dark wood and ostentatious pillars, Tiffany lamps, art deco tiles, chandeliers and candelabras it's a sight to behold. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and service 5 stars. Obviously a little more expensive than your beach grub but all things considered still very cheap. Wine $12 a glass, entrees $12-16, mains $17-40. My first time here i had the steak tartare and honesty it was magic to my taste buds. Crispy pork belly that made my eyes water and a dessert that i wanted to make love to. The Plantation grill is truly not to be missed. It's the other side of Bali that most tourists never get to experience. I've found my wedding venue, if i get a second chance that is lol. I forgot to mention 3 nights a week they have the most beautiful opera singer doing multiple sets. Breathtaking to say they least.

Plantation Grill is a delicious steakhouse. The ambiance is amazing; there's an opera singer for several minutes at the top of each hour. The food itself -- amazing! The filet I ordered was cooked to perfection. The mashed potatoes were buttery, creamy, and delicious. The Caesar salad and cheesecake dessert were awesome as well! ☺️👍👍

This place has an amazing fit out. It looks fantastic. A huge mirror gallery leading to the bathroom and array of liquors to look at. They also had an Opera singer come out at various times during the night walking amongst the table but it didn't feel intrusive and added to the experience. I had the steak and it melted in my mouth. The food was great along with the service.

Pricey place(mostly because we order T-bone steak) but it was a fantastic experience. Wine was great, steak was perfectly cooked and flavourful, beef tartare was excellent. Staffs were attentive, and the sommelier(in white suit) was very kind knowledgeable and helped us chose the perfect wine pairing. Experience was great, definitely coming back again for more.

Hidden gem in Bali that not a lot of people know about - means it is not that crowded! Went here for Christmas dinner and overall experience was amazing. The ambience was classy. The food was great. There was opera singer when we went there and she sang super good! Here is what we ordered: Appetizers: Oysters 5/5 - SUPER FRESH Salmon Pizza 3/5 1 kinda weird taste Smocked duck salad 4/5 - pretty good noodle salad San Fransisco Fish Soup 3/5 Entree Black Truffle Mac and Cheese 5/5 - would be even more awesome if there is an option to add meat / bacon Large T-Bone 5/5 - super juicy! Grilled Crispy Pork Belly 5/5 - super damn good sia, crispy skin, nice layer of fat and good sauce. Dessert Tiramisu 3/5 - nothing special, i’ve tasted much better tiramisu @ other restaurants The ultimate chocolate cake 3/5 Bombe alaska 5/5 - some flame attractions, with raspberry ice cream on the inside. Keep in mind that they have a dress code and prohibit any sandals/thongs/ripped shorts.

This place has a great vibe to it with its early 1900s theme. When you first sit down the waiter offers you a selection of breads along with French and locally produced butter. We ordered 2 starters, 2 sides and 2 mains for the two of us and it was more than enough food. The wines are quite pricey, although the cocktails are more reasonable in price. Service is excellent and they even had a saxophonist entertaining the patrons with some jazz.

Beautiful restaurant and interiors, wonderful attentive staff, great music and very clean cutlery. The food itself was really good too. The salmon pizza was so sublime we had to order seconds! Oysters were amazing and so was the burger. My favourite dish was the Gindara 🤤The free bread and house butter when you start is also so good you will have to try and not eat too much at the start 😅 we got a free opera singer as well for entertainment

The highlights by far was the steak, tender, juicy, flame grilled and delicious. Closely following was the tasty tuna tarts with crisp base and delightful filling, and the duck croquettes which were on the money. The steak tartare sadly was a miss as the texture was blended and very paste like, hard pass. Special mention to the wonderful staff that took great care with us and made the night memorable including the outstanding opera singer! What detracted from the evening was the kitchen viewing pleasure was ruined by a very grumpy chef on his phone at the pass. Oh well. Irrespective, great food, brilliant service and gorgeous venue, must check it out.

Last night, was my choice of restaurant, for dining, on our family holiday. Plantation Grill is absolutely stunning in person, I felt like I was in 1920’s NYC. The steak was cooked perfectly & tender. Staff were both courteous & professional. Indeed expensive, but worth every penny. A truly amazing dining experience.

Must visit place when in Seminyak. The ambience, the service, the food in this restaurant is incredible. Great for a date night, or birthday/anniversary celebrations. Portion sizes are perfect and the coco mango mojito is without a doubt the best cocktail I have ever drank in my life. I will definitely return here.

Nice place good service but the steak tasted like spoiled old meat it was disgusting. They said “ that’s because it’s dry aged” I thought “ I don’t care it tastes rotten and unsafe to eat” they were nice about it and took it off the bill. I’m sorry for the bad review but I could have gotten sick and that’s not cool.. FYI on my way out I could see the bar was very nice, and had a scotch collection that was amazing. The place is gorgeous in general .

Great foods, nice and kind hospitality of the staff, just a little bit uncomfortable with the area as they don't use AirCond so it is quite hot when a lot of custome coming, a great place to chill out.

Excellent place for a date night. It has nice vibe with really excellent service. Every hour there’s opera singing performance which we enjoyed a lot. Positive and recommendation: oysters and duck croquettes. Gindara fish is very good Not up to expectation: the plantation ribeye somehow lacked the punch and it’s the only dish we didn’t finish. Somehow we feel that the kick starter bites overshadowed some of the mains.

Great food and great service. Live jazz singer and saxophonist adds to its downplayed Gatsby ambience. Their dress code "discourages" flip flops but they provide leather sleepers for gents.

We bought way too much food but that's probably good for review purposes. The cocktails are great and the staff were wonderful. The food however isn't the best. The tiger prawns were really good but everything else wasn't really worth the money at all and quite unmemorable. The place itself is beautiful as well though.

We loved the plantation grill. The service is fantastic and the food was delicious. The entree crab cakes were to die for, don't miss those! The traditional Indonesian bread was also a lovely touch and very nice. Prices are quite reasonable, cheaper than an upmarket Australian restaurant. The atmosphere itself is very elegant and cosy with a 1920s feel. Make sure you visit the sling bar upstairs for a themed rocknroll cocktail, absolutely loved it.

This is a very good place, i have celebrated there my birthday. Top class service, great interior, various food. This is just not European steak. We tool a wagyu steak and this is not the same as in Europe, it is delicious but not the same. Good steak place, i would definitely come back and recommend this places.

a great fine dining restaurant located at double six hotel! giving you such a unique interior that makes you feel like youre in europe. the service is excellent, server being so informative, and friendly. we dont have to wait for a long time for food to be served. the food is great, and yet the most incredible one is the cesar salad, its a bomb! there is a dress code to dine in and i suggest you to make a reservation. definitely will come back👌🏼

Amazing a must go

A beautiful restaurant with a very nice setup for romantic dinners or any celebration. Staff is very friendly, food was actually good, despite some reviews I have been reading before. The opera singer was also a very nice touch and distraction during dinner. It would have been a straight 5 star if I didn't get the terrible food poisoning a couple of hours later and was sick for about 3 days until I recovered. My girl friend ordered a different dish and didn't have any problems at all.

We came together to celebrate my wife's birthday. Very romantic and classy atmosphere. Very friendly service. We ordered Rib Eye Steak which was slightly charred and gindara which was very tasty. Every hour starting at 7pm there is a live singer

Great restaurant with classics singer, great food and lot of wine selection, tasty n delicious desserts. Romantic atmosphere but also great for group n family. U had dinner for several time and the taste never disappointed

A gastronomically amazing place! We had a superb evening. The food was simply amazing! Worth every dollar and some. The staff were fab, and knew there stuff! Prices were pretty damn good for what you get. The atmosphere is epic and the whole theme just great.

The food and service was good. I also liked the ambiance. Be aware though, if you're with a large party of friends, bread refills and of course water are also added to the bill. If it's new year's, you'll also have a great view of the fireworks.

We’ve just had a wonderful dinner experience at The Plantation Grill. We started the evening on the roof terrace for sunset cocktails and then moved into the restaurant for dinner. The restaurant is completely STUNNING inside with art deco style glamour and a tiny bit of industrial chic. It feels incredibly special but also dark and atmospheric. Having a saxophone playing also added to the mood. We had oysters to start and then followed by steaks and grilled prawns. We had a mixture of steaks and they had a lovely smoky flavour. Unfortunately one was slightly over but the sides where delicious. We also had to try The Ultimate Chocolate cake was which like a Black Forest gateaux. It’s was beautifully soft, tasted of cherries and dark chocolate 😋The highlights where the amazing service and incredible atmosphere. Old school glamour like being in The Savoy or The Ritz in London. The ladies powder room is a MUST visit. Thank you to all the staff for a memorable evening. 🙏🏽😊

Great food. Had the T bone, a salad, pork starter thing, baked Alaska. All good. Very pleased they had ciopino on the menu but I had eaten seafood last three meals needed a break. The bottled wine selection was good but I was there alone. They could have more by the glass selection. The bread selection was fun. The decor is all dark wood paneling and nice touches. Two or three salt mills all didn't work. The helpful waitress had to try hard to find one. But she did! It's a common issue with salt mills. You need the right grind mechanism. Upstairs bar closed. Bathrooms clean.

View and food is phenomenal! Must try if you visit Bali. Definitely wouldn’t regret it. However, allow a little bit more in the budget when you are planning to dine, the food is worth it.

Vibe of the place is 1920s meets rodeo but classy if that makes sense.I'm not sure about the food as I was at the bar one floor up but the bartenders are awesome. Real friendly and helpful. Easy to approach.

What a wonderful night I had at plantation. The atmosphere is so classy and romantic. Great for a date night. The food was spectacular and service was impeccable. Definitely recommend of you're in Bali.

We absolutely loved our dinner at The Plantation Grill. The service staff are great, the ambience is beautiful and the food is fantastic. They also have a lady singer that sings a few Italian opera songs every hour or so. The starter menu is not huge but what is served is of very high quality. The mains consist of Australian beef and other main dishes. The Striploin I had was excellent, my partner's fillet was also excellent. We actually ordered all side dishes just to try them all: baby carrots were very tasty, the mashed potato fantastic, the french fries were exactly how I like them and the smashed broccoli tasted great as well. The wine menu is extensive, and if you want something that's not on the menu: just ask. We got Belinis freshly made for us, no bother at all. Pricing is reasonable for the quality you get. This restaurant holds it's own with the best steak houses of Hong Kong, Tokyo and New York. Plus it is in Bali! Happy to return anytime.

This by far exceeded my expectations on all levels. The quality of food was outstanding and the service was world class. It was my wedding anniversary and they gave us complimentary desert at the end of the meal too. They come up to your table with a basket of bread to choose from and they were all warm and soft. Would go again!

The food was a bit bland and the drink prom portion seemed small. The price was too steep for the food quality. I'd go back to the bar for a drink, but not again for the food.

Definitely a must do when in Bali. More for those willing to pay Sydney prices for the food and experience. Celebrated my birthday here, the service was wonderful and the surprise birthday cake was a delight. Live jazz begins after 8pm. Definitely recommended.

In photos: Ceviche, Dry Aged 2-bone for Two, Soufflé. Not pictured : oven baked scallops. Firstly, the good. The service is terrific at The Plantation, and the staff were really wonderful. The ambience is great, as well as the music which is in keeping with the 1920s ‘theme’ / feel of the restaurant. The wine list was extensive and good. The playing in general was very appealing as well. The soufflé was tremendously plated, and tasted very good. However on the other hand, I felt for the price the portions were a little on the small side. The ceviche lacked a bit of flavour, while the scallops became lost in the ‘bake’ - quite a lot of cheese and batter that over powered them. The steak was good, but slightly chewy even cooked at medium (had wanted medium-rare but was recommended to have medium). The flavour was very good however. Was great to go and check it out, but unlikely to go back again based on the food.

The food was tasty. Service was good. One issue I had was when I requested my steak medium rare they told me their cooks could not do it because it was aged beef. I'm not sure what aged beef has to do with being able to properly cook a steak. I told them that if they needed my assistance in training their cooks on how to properly cook a steak I would gladly do it. My steak did in come out a very close medium rare. I think they need a bit more training on how to cook steak.
