Was super excited about our stay at Zin Hotels but was honestly a little disappointed by the experience. It’s rated as a four star hotel and we paid about $300 USD a night (a lot for Bali) but it didn’t meet expectations. It felt like an upscale hostel opposed to a luxury hotel. Pros - The cafe is great and the staff are super kind. - Solid gym. - Great location. - The spa is great. Cons - The wifi is awful. We get **2mpbs** in our room. I think some of the hotel rooms are in a dead spot but it’s likely also affected by all the coworkers using the same wifi networks. - They don’t have simple amenities like body lotion and conditioner. - The pool is right next to the river and it smells like sewage. - Our patio doors don’t shut and there is a substantial gap that allows mosquitoes to come in. - Unresponsive staff. I had to ask 3X for the reception to scan my WhatsApp QR and text me so that we could communicate. - Prior to booking they mentioned that there is construction nearby and asked if we were okay with that. Yes, but they failed to mention the construction is at night :) I attempted to share some of this as constructive feedback with one of the reception employees but he didn’t know what to say in response or perhaps there was a language barrier. Overall, I think it’s a nice hotel but, in my opinion, it doesn’t feel like 4 star service or amenities. Feels like an upscale hostel. You can find much better accommodations in Canggu for the price.

I believe this hotel is a bit overrated- service is not the same level as what I experienced in other (cheaper) hotels in Bali. Room is large and okay but the noise behind our room was terrible. The hotel told us upfront but honestly, I would not rent the room with the current construction behind the room (209). Food is also not what you expect - smoothies contains a lot of water (and therefore tasteless) and also the food (breakfast) we ordered was not what I expected. I would book another hotel next time!

We had a mixed experience at this hotel. Firstly the staff was very friendly and does their best to give the guests a good experience. The room itself was disappointing. As the door is open when the room is cleaned, many mosquitoes came in. There is a net around the bed but has a few holes in it. The shower looks good but the water pressure is hardly enough for a comfortable shower and the temperature is very hard to control (too cold or hot). There was an incredible loud noise from construction next door starting from 8:20AM in the morning. Also there is loud music from somewhere outside the hotel that you can hear from the room (until 3AM at least). The pool is small, nice, but next to a polluted river that is very smelly. This ruins the experience. The pool bar is empty and not in use. Bed is fine, they provided a towel decoration as well , and the location is good (near the beach). The breakfast was good. Many options and good quality. In the end, would not recommened based on alternatives available.

I will not exaggerate if I say that I felt like I spend my holiday in a type of hotel similar to the one in White Lotus series. The whole stay was just amazing! The staff is super friendly, loving and caring. Food is delicious, room is cozy and whole place has an amazing desing! I absolutely loved it there!

Excellent property and very friendly and professional staff. Special thanks to Yani, Bangus, Yudi and Septa. The property has a very positive vibe. Only downside was the water pressure was not very strong and AC too strong for the small room. Will stay here again.

Positives • It was close to the restaurants and beach. • The staff were really helpful and kind. • The breakfast was really well made and worth the price we paid. *Sintia* from the cafe was very attentive and made sure we were well looked after. • The room was stylish, clean and spacious. It had everything we needed for our stay. • The pool was clean. •The hotel premises were beautiful and well maintained. Improvements • There was a lot of noise pollution in the area. The music at night time from a nearby club was actually quite bearable. • The morning spin class started at 9am so it wasn’t too early but it was quite loud from our room. • The construction was happening directly behind our room. Sometimes early in the morning and sometimes you couldn’t hear it all. • The riverside pool was great for sunbathing but it was directly facing the sewer river which is a real shame. I brought extra ear plugs in preparation for the noise as I saw it was a common problem but actually it wasn’t that bad. I’m saying this as a city girl so I’m used to the various noises. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at this hotel and found that it was met my expectations and above. It’s a beautiful hotel with very hard working staff and lovely breakfast.

Stayed 3 weeks in Canngu and had dinner more than 10 times @ Zen. Great menu, nice drinks, prices affordable. The staff and the atmosphere are so nice and friendly. The location close to the beach and at the end of a road makes the surroundings very quiet. I am gonna miss this place.

Very disappointing. Photos of this place look good, but the lived experience is far from what is pictured. Room smelled of urine. Towels reeked of bacteria as if never properly laundered. Hotel is surrounded by properties under construction and nightclubs, so it's only relatively quiet from 4 am till 8:30 am. Breakfast delivery is slow (but coffee was good, at least). Hotel cancelled our ride back to the airport the evening prior, and effectively left us on our own find our way back. Oh, and the power went out for several hours after our arrival due to a storm and the property has no back-up generator to pump water, so one cannot wash hands or flush toilets. Staff even seem bothered when we asked for extra water and a flashlight during this time (which was approaching nightfall). Bad times all around.

Had an amazing stay here, the staff is super attentive and always ready to help you with all your needs. The room was very nice, clean. and the little private pool was the cherry on top! I would recommend Zin to everybody, very close to the beach on an amazing location!

ZIN was one of my favorite stays. Included breakfast / coffee / juice / and an evening cocktails. It’s connected to out of the largest and nicest cafes I’ve been to as well. All the employees were really nice and helpful. Had a few laughs with Angga, he was dope.

This shouldn't be a 4 star hotel. The rooms are nice and aesthetically pleasing, but overall - this is not a 4 star hotel and the prices are not justified. Construction next to the hotel is super loud and starts at 730am/8am all the way till say 4pm. Loud music can be heard at night, every night. I didn't get much rest here safe to say. Bathroom smelled like pee too. Location is great, I do have to say that. But I wouldn't stay here again.

Zin is a nice place to stay when you go to Canggu. It’s really close to the beach and one street behind the Main Street. Room was spacious and the hotel has good facilities. Breakfast was superb. We had some diner also at the restaurant but that was not that special. Prepare yourself with some good earplugs as the are building and partying closely to the hotel.

Great experience, people are really kind , this place is beautiful. The only black point is the music coming from other buildings at night. The beach is at 2 minutes by walking and there is a great surf spot there.

Loved the hotel. Clean, well kept, not too commercial feeling (balinese style) and simple. We started off with a deluxe room but was upgraded to a family room because of the nearby construction noise. Appreciate the sincerity and effort the staff took to resolve our concern. Sound proofing for the bigger rooms are definitely much better and we had a very pleasant and relaxing stay. The in house cafe serves healthy and tasty juices, snacks and meals too. I especially liked that their breakfast isn't the standard buffet style but you select their cafe menu items. It's almost stone's throw from canggu beach and many gyms nearby too. 10/10 recommend.

When we stayed here from 21-24 May, there was a huge construction site next door. From 7 o'clock in the morning until evening there was continuous noise from the construction site. The room was alright and the hotel in general is quite nice. The breakfast was really good, but overall we expected more. We wouldn't stay here again, because they didn't warn you about the construction noise in the suite beforehand. Otherwise we would not have booked here in the first place. This lack of transparency is unacceptable.

ZIN was an absolute pleasure. My only qualm about our stay there was that it was the first place we stayed at and so it set a high bar for the rest of our trip in Bali and the surrounding area. Amazing location for working, fantastic food and service. Close to a popular beach and restaurants, and very clean. Highly recommend staying here when you come to Canggu.

The staff were so accommodating and lovely. The location was close to all the restaurants and the beach. The complimentary breakfast with our booking was fresh and tasty. We were close to different studios for fitness needs - spin, yoga, boxing, pilates etc The hotel was tidy and spacious and styled tastefully. The staff from ZINspa were lovely also - the massages were great. The only downside was the construction noise, thumping sounds from surrounding nightclubs, and one of the pools was directly facing the sewer river. At least there were two other pools to choose from and the beach was close by.

Loved every second. Staff are amazing, second to none. If you have read the other reviews concerning the noise, we had doubts too but are SO glad we decided to stay here anyway. The noise was very minor and some basic ear plugs were enough - only wore them one night and was not woken. I am referring to the nearby construction and the music at night from elsewhere.

Very nice rooms. Friendly staff. Good spa. The best breakfast we got in Bali! Just keep in mind, that a club is around the corner and you can hear the music until 1 or 2 am. So keep your earplugs with you!! I really needed them.

The Zin Canggu Resort and Villas is amazing! very nice rooms! the place really close to the beach. the room are very clean and simple but luxurious! the staff were so accommodating, lovely and smiling. the outdoor area is absolutely stunning, the views around the room are very good, the gardens are beautifully maintained too. the breakfast was very good, i want more. i would recommend Zin to everyone, very close to the beach in a stunning location!

The Zin Hotel cafe is amazing! We had a delicious breakfast. The menu was varied and everything was fresh and very tasty. We were looked after by a wonderful lady called Puspita who made our breakfast experience very enjoyable. She was so nice and attentive. Will be going back tomorrow. Highly recommend!

We stayed at 5 different hotels in Bali and this was one of our favorites! It was secluded but had good access to everything we wanted to do and see. The included breakfast was amazing, and the drinks on the rooftop was such a treat! The staff was so kind, we loved spending part of our honeymoon here.

Honestly one of the best places I’ve ever stayed. The rooms, pools, and restaurants are all amazing, but the staff are the real stars. Every single person was so welcoming and kind, it was an absolute joy to speak to any of them. Highly recommended.

I spent four nights in a bamboo pool villa, and loved my stay. The villa itself was very luxe - so beautifully designed. The private pool was lovely, as was laying by the communal pool. The staff were lovely and the restaurant had amazing breakfasts and dinner. Recommend the delicious tuna steak for dinner, and the halloumi and avo on toast for breakfast. There was some construction noise, but that seems to be wherever you go in Canggu at the moment and not necessarily the fault of the property. The Villa I went to stay in next in the area had consistent construction across the road and many of the restaurants I visited had the same noise. It was easily fixed by a pair of headphones if too annoying!

Best villa experience during our entire trip in Bali for our honeymoon. We got the Bamboo Villa with a Private Pool, and were so glad we paid a little extra for it. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant and comfortable. We wanted to rent a scooter on our first day there, but the rental company they worked with had closed for the night. One of the staff, Rio, offered to rent his family's scooter to us, and was even able to bring the scooter over within an hour for us to grab dinner! The little touches in the villa are amazing. The bed is huge, the pillows are fluffy, and the bedding gets changed daily for ultra comfort. There's also a turn down service each evening and the mosquito curtain net is let down, before the room is sprayed with a glorious scent. Some reviewed about the issue with construction noise, but it didn't bother us at all. The noise is dull and nothing a little Netflix can't solve. The location allowed us to walk to the beach every day that we were there as it was only 2 mins away from Canggu Beach.

What a very nice place! Location wise is perfect! Superb product - the villa is really beautiful, kudos to housekeeping staff who cleans our room - its super clean, immaculate, this what you expect the most during this pandemic. The staff is really helpful, attentive and very genuine - we can feel how sincere the staff in providing their services, and this only can be done with positive working environment, thus well done to the Management team who lead these staffs in providing such beautiful experience to us! Also we were really amazed with the hotel's commitment with the sustainability program. They provide electric motorcycle which available to rent - and its really great to see their efforts on this. Highly recommended and can't wait to visit again!

Amazing hotel. Beautiful rooms and great restaurant, delicious breakfast and amazing people who works here. Location is good, near the beach and near the popular place (xbar and Olds Man) but because of that it can be noisy sometimes. Also there is that small river in the back of the hotel, next to one of the pools - it smells bad and the view is also not the best. Not sure why the bars (pool bar and the rooftop one) were closed during our stay. Still we had amazing time here.

Lovely finding in Canggu near FOLD bakery. Hotel very zen, the personnel lovely.. all of them. thank you for Dayu and Angga for always being there but everyone was helpful. Not the hotel fault but there is a club (we do not know where) which plays music until 1pm or some fireworks that we could hear every night we were there. but that did not stop us from enjoying the place...instead of sleeping early, we went to party :)

Our place at Zin was very relaxing and felt at home. The staff was very responsive and took pride into catering to our needs during our stay. The rooms were clean, pool was fantastic, gym was simple and clean and the massages were incredible. The staff Yani and Bagus treated us like family and made sure we were safe and had things to do. They were also very responsive and very kind to us. The food here is amazing and if you want to explore and try other food, all you have to do is walk down the street and you will be met with a variety of options to choose from for food.

It comes with its faults, however overall it's a really lovely venue. It's in a great location, close to everything you need. Service is really good, rooms are beautiful, pool area, is perfect. It can be noisy as there is a club nearby, they mentioned that when were booked. There is work on a building right next door, again they mentioned that when we booked. I would have preferred it was a bit quieter, but what can you do. Highly recommend this place.

What a lovely place ! I've stayed all over the world and I would say this place was one of my favourites forsure. Short walk to the beach, amazing restaurant and popular Zycle studio next door, quiet and zen like grounds. Complimentary 15 min massage, the breakfast at the restaurant/cafe was amazing , which was also included. The best was SO COMFY. Strong AC. I would stay again. Thanks !

This is a nice place until nightfall when the noise and club music kicks in. It's very very loud. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay. Great location and nice rooms. The pool is pretty small but the restaurant was outstanding

I don't know what to say except I want to live there. We had the Bamboo Villa and it was our best stay in Bali. The Team is so helpful and friendly, easy to reach with their whatsapp system. The villa was just perfect, nothing missing, a pure bubble of paradise. We struggle in some places to have some hot water which we totally understand but that was such a bliss to finish our trip with those amazing outdoor shower. The design of this room is spot on and decorations/details as well. We'll definitely come back here on next trip.

This has to be more than a 4-star hotel! This is the best place we have stayed in Bali so far. Perfectly located in the heart of Canggu, walking distance from the beach, but the surroundings are quiet during sleeping hours. Yes, there is some construction, but that's everywhere on Canggu and, honestly, it is not that bad during the day. The room is very spacious for a couple and well maintained by the staff on a daily basis. They have good breakfast and dinner options as well, and can even bring to your room! The pool is beautiful. The co-working space is really cool; spacious, good internet. The only downside is that the spa space is not air conditioned, so it may get a bit warm, but the staff did such a great job with the Balinese massage that we felt extremely relaxed, despite the temperature or the construction noise. Highly recommend!!!

Best Resort in Canggu. By far. Near the beach, spacious rooms, stunning design, zycle fitness classes, next to ZIN Cafe, probably the best coffee on town. Our guests were very happy with the experience.

Zin is not just a gorgeous resort villa but a community. It has such great energy all around, amazing co-working special cafe, always some fun creative events going on. The staff and owner is always around and they are as friendly as it gets. Everytime I come back, they really make me feel like it’s home. Always so fast to cater, the service is exceptional. Rooms are absolutely beautiful, spacious, modern design and by far the cleanest Villa I’ve ever seen in Bali. I would try to stay at ZIN again next time I’m back for sure, highly recommend 10/10

This was the best experience we’ve had staying at a resort. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Our TV remote wasn’t working and the staff were very accommodating to our schedules and got things done right away. The food here is amazing, we were even offered a free croissant sandwich and pulled pork Benedict that was not included in our breakfast plan. Amazing experience and awesome vibes will definitely come back. Aldi was an amazing waiter, he deserves a raise!

We had a wonderful three night stay. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, the in-house cafe is excellent for all 3 meals and proximity to the beach is almost unbeatable. As I write this (Aug 2022) there is some construction on nearby hotels but nothing disturbed us. Staff are friendly and helpful, arranging a taxi for us and offering advice. There is a modest gym, and a well outfitted spin and aerobics studio on site as well.
